oh the fifth haven't followed me grace the energy oh is jesus [Music] the holy spirit maybe show pray for us for the inventions the lord holy spirit in the name of the father son holy spirit the lord be with you to prepare ourselves to celebrate these sacred mysteries let us call to mind our sins i confess to almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that i have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words in what i have done and what i have failed to do through my fault through my fault through my most grievous fault therefore i ask blessed mary ever virgin all the angels and saints and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the lord our god may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life lord have mercy christ have mercy lord have mercy let us pray hero lord the supplications your people make under the patronage of the martyr saint blaze and grant that they may rejoice in peace in this present life and final help for life eternal through our lord jesus christ your son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the holy spirit one god forever and ever a reading from the first book of kings when the time of david's death drew near he gave these instructions to his son solomon i am going the way of all flesh take courage and be a man keep the mandate of the lord your god following his ways and observing his statutes out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits he instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick no food no sack no money in in their belts they were however to wear sandals but not a second tunic he said to them wherever you enter a house stay there until you leave from there whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you leave there and shake the dust off your feet in testimony against them so they went off and preached repentance the 12 drove out demons and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them the gospel of the lord so today's the feast of saint blaze and immediately following mass uh just before we do the exposition of blessed sacrament we'll do the blessing of the throats i'm thinking just come and kneel at the railing and i'll come to you and we'll do it that way so here we are we're in the second phase of go make disciples and as we've been saying is that it started out with a leadership team who worked on their own spiritual lives but now we're moving to the next phase which is today's gospel he sent them out the 72 right and he sent them with a power a power to cast out demons and to cure people signs accompanied them while they preached the gospel wherever they went and we need to believe in the power of miracles you know here we're going to bless throats of uh may you be relieved of every disease of the throat and every other disease do we believe that do we believe that that we will receive that and so that's what we're working on during this time those of you who uh you can break free to to join the kingdom builders get ready because we're going to be empowered that's what this is all about i yesterday was the i call it the launch date but it was the first day i picked the feast of the presentation to to make everyone aware because we're going to spend this month leading up to a lent to get ourselves ready for the journey 90 days to peace i'm calling it but 90 days to get right close into god so that his power has easy access into us a power to cast out demons to heal the sick to bring a light into the lives of those around us i'm so excited about this i hope you can tell let us ask god to give us the strength we need to walk toward him please stand confident in god's grace let us now offer him our prayers for our church leaders may they be filled with divine wisdom and in their service to the faithful we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer for all who are gathered here may the lord bless us and keep us free from all evil we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer for those who have fallen asleep in the hope of rising again may they soon see god face to face in today's mass is being offered for the people of the parish we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer god our father in your goodness please accept the prayers we offer we ask this through christ our lord blessed are you lord god of all creation for through your goodness we've received the bread we offer you fruit of the earth and work of human hands will become for us the bread of life blessed be god forever but the mystery of this war in wyoming will come to share with christopher who humbled himself to share in our humanity blessed are you lord god of all creation for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you fruit of the divine work of human hands will become our spiritual drink blessed be god forever pray my brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to god the almighty father may the lord accept the sacrifice of my hands for the praise and glory of his name for our good and the good of all this holy church oh lord we bring to your altar these offerings of our service be pleased to receive them we pray and transform them into the sacrament of our redemption through christ our lord the lord be with you lift up your hearts let us give thanks to the lord our god it is truly right and just our duty and our salvation always everywhere to give you thanks lord holy father almighty and eternal god through christ our lord brought of compassion for the waywardness that is ours he humbled himself and was born the virgin by the passion of the cross he freed us from unending death and by rising from the dead he gave us life eternal and so with angels and archangels with thrones and dominions with all the hosts and powers of heaven we sing the hymn of your glory as out and we acclaim holy holy holy lord god of hosts heaven and earth are full of your glory hosanna in the highest blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord hosanna in the highest to you therefore most merciful father we make humble prayer and petition through jesus christ your son our lord that you accept and bless these gifts these offerings these holy and unblunted sacrifices which we offer you firstly for your holy catholic church be pleased to grant her peace to guard unite and govern her throughout the whole world together with your servant francis our pope and donald our bishop and all those who holding the truth and in the catholic and apostolic faith remember lord your servants and all gathered here whose faith and devotion are known to you for them we offer you this sacrifice of praise are they offered for themselves and all who are dear to them for the redemption of their souls in hope of health and well-being and paying their homage to you the eternal god living and true and communion with those whose memory we venerate especially the glorious of the virgin mary mother of our god and lord jesus christ and blessed joseph her spouse your blessed apostles and martyrs peter and paul andrew james john thomas james philip bartholomew matthew simon and jude linus cletus clement sixtus cornelius cyprian lawrence chrysogenius john and paul cosmos and damien and all your saints we ask that through their merits and prayers in all things we may be defended by your protecting help therefore lord we pray graciously accept this oblation of our service that of your whole family order our days and your peace and command that we be delivered from eternal damnation and counted among the flock of those you've chosen be pleased oh god we pray to bless acknowledge and approve this offering in every respect make it spiritual and acceptable so maybe come for us the body and blood of your most beloved son our lord jesus christ on the day before he was to suffer he took bread in his holy and venerable hands with eyes raised to heaven to you o god is almighty father giving you thanks he said the blessing broke the bread and gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and eat of it for this is my body which will be given up for you [Music] in a similar way when suck was ended he took his precious shells in his holy and venerable hands but once more giving you thanks he said the blessing and gave the chalice to his disciples saying take this all of you and drink from it for this is the chalice of my blood the blood of the new and eternal covenant which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins do this in memory of me [Music] the mystery of faith save us savior the world for by your cross and resurrection you have set us free therefore o lord as we celebrate the memorial the blessed passion the resurrection from the dead and the glorious ascension into heaven of christ your son our lord we your servants and your holy people offered to your glorious majesty from the gifts that you've given us this pure victim this holy victim the spotless victim the holy bread of eternal life and the chalice of everlasting salvation be pleased to look upon these offerings with a serene and kindly countenance and to accept them as once you are pleased to accept the gifts of your servant able to just the sacrifice of abraham our father in faith and the offering of your high priest melchizedek a holy sacrifice a spotless victim in humble prayer we ask you almighty god commanded these gifts to be born by the hands of your holy angel jolt on high in the sight of your divine majesty so that all of us who through this participation at the altar receive the most holy body and blood of your son may be filled with every grace and heavenly blessing remember also lord your servants who have gone before us with a sign of faith and rest in the sleep of peace grant them o lord we pray and all who sleep in christ a place of refreshment light and peace to us also your servants who those sinners hope in your abundant mercies graciously grant some share in fellowship with your holy apostles and martyrs with john the baptist stephen matthias barnabas ignatius alexander marcelinus peter felicity perpetua agatha lucy agnes cecilia anastasia and all your saints admit as we beseech you into their company not weighing our merits but granting us your pardon through christ our lord through whom you continue to make all these good things o lord you sanctify them fill them with life bless them and bestow them upon us through him and with him and in him oh god almighty father in the unity of the holy spirit all glory and honor is yours forever and ever at the savior's command informed by divine teaching we dare to say our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil deliver us lord we pray from every evil graciously grant peace in our days that by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our savior jesus christ for the kingdom the power and the glory are yours now and forever lord jesus christ who said to your apostles peace i leave you my peace i give you look not on our sins but on the faith of your church and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will who live and reign forever and ever the peace of the lord be with you always lamb of god you take away the sins of the world have mercy on us lamb of god you
