grace jesus oh or is hail mary is hail mary full of grace is jesus is oh my jesus let us oh is the holy spirit in the name of the father the son the holy spirit the lord be with you to prepare ourselves to celebrate these sacred mysteries let us call to mind our sins i confess to almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that i have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words in what i have done and in what i have failed to do through my fault through my fault through my most grievous fault therefore i ask blessed mary ever virgin all the angels and saints and you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the lord our god may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life lord have mercy christ have mercy lord have mercy let us pray keep your family safe o lord with unfailing care that relying solely on the hope of heavenly grace they may be defended always by your protection through our lord jesus christ your son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the holy spirit one god forever and ever a reading from the first book of kings the queen of sheba having heard of solomon's fame came to test him with subtle questions she arrived in jerusalem with a with very numerous retinue and with camels bearing spices a large amount of gold and precious stones she came to solomon and questioned him on every subject in which she was interested king solomon explained everything she asked about and there remained nothing hidden from him that he could not explain to her when the queen of sheba witnessed solomon's great wisdom the palace he had built the food at his table the seating of his ministers the attendance of the and garb of his waiters his banquet service and the burnt offerings he offered in the temple of the lord she was breathless the report i heard in my country about your deeds and your wisdom is true she told the king though i did not believe the report until i came and saw my in my own eyes i have discovered that they were not telling me the half your wisdom and prosperity surpassed the report i heard blessed are your men blessed these servants of yours who stand before you always and listen to your wisdom blessed be the lord your god whom it is pleased to place you on the throne of israel in his enduring love for israel the lord has made you king to carry out judgment and justice then she gave the king 120 gold talents a very large quantity of spices and precious stones never again did anyone bring such an abundance of spices as the queen of sheba gave to the to king solomon the word of the lord thanks be to god the mouth of the just murmurs wisdom commit to the lord your way trust in him and he will act he will make justice dawn for you like the light bright as the noonday shall be your vindication off of the just murmurs of wisdom the mouth of the just man tells the of wisdom and his tongue utters what is right the law of his god is in his heart and his steps do not falter the mouth of the just murmurs wisdom the salvation of the justice from god from the lord he is their refuge in time of distress and the lord helps them and delivers them he delivers them from the wicked and saves them because they take refuge in him the mouth the lord be with you a reading from the holy gospel according to mark jesus summoned the crowd again and said to them hear me all of you and understand nothing that enters one from the outside can defile that person but the things that come out from within are what defile when he had gotten away from the crowd and was home the disciples questioned him about the parable he said to them are even you likewise without understanding do not realize that everything that goes into a person from outside cannot defile since it enters not the heart but the stomach and passes into the latrine thus he declared all foods clean but what comes out of the man that is what defiles him from within the man from his heart come evil thoughts unchastity theft murder adultery greed malice deceit licentiousness envy blasphemy arrogance folly all these come from within and they defile the gospel of the lord seems the point that jesus was getting at was we want to blame someone else besides ourselves for uh the decisions we make the sins that we commit so it's not something that was beyond your control as jesus saying that defiles a person but it is totally in your control it's the choice that you make your free will deciding to separate ourselves from god by the choices that we make this is what defiles us and we need to get back home as fast as we can through the beautiful sacrament of reconciliation to say you know we messed up we made a choice that we know wasn't yours and we want to make amends we want to be home again and what a beautiful sacrament we have with that jesus also would spend time with those who were closest to him his inner circle and he would explain things to them are we in his inner circle you know i want to be and i want to spend time with him and ask him questions and help him unpack things for me that don't seem quite clear on the surface there again is why we're taking this journey beginning at the start of lent 90 days we want to get into his inner circle we want to be able to spend time and say and ask questions and say you know can you help me understand this i highly recommend using scripture during that time we if we're not careful we can be one of those that hears a scripture passage and goes oh okay well i guess it probably means this and then we go on with our everyday lives we don't let the word of god impact us because we come to its deepest understanding the most clear understanding of what god is telling us through sacred scripture so again he went away with his own disciples his inner circle and he would unpack these things for them and so let's be let's ask god please let us into that inner circle please stand we bring our needs and the needs of the world to our loving god as we pray for all members of the church may the outpouring of the holy spirit sanctify each one of us in our daily lives we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer for peace and consolation to those who grieve the death of a loved one we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer for this community may god give us the grace to remain faithful to him in our worship and service of to him we pray to the lord lord hear our prayer for those who have gone before us in faith may they experience the freedom of god's mercy in the kingdom of heaven and today's mass is being offered for vince and marlene vittucci we pray to lord lord hear our prayer god our father hear and answer our prayers we ask this through christ our lord blessed are you lord god of all creation for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you fruit of the earth and work of human hands will become for us the bread of life blessed be god forever by the mystery of the sword and wine would come to share in christ of in the teeth who humbled himself to share in our humanity blessed are you lord god of all creation for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you fruit of the divine work of human hands will become our spiritual drink blessed be god forever pray my brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to god the almighty father may the lord accept the sacrifice of my hands for the praise and glory of his name for our good and the good of all his holy church o lord our god who once established these created things to sustain us in our frailty grant we pray that they may become for us now the sacrament of eternal life through christ our lord the lord be with you lift up your hearts let us give thanks to the lord our god it is truly right and just our duty and our salvation always and everywhere to give you thanks lord holy father almighty and eternal god through christ our lord for out of compassion for the waywardness that is ours he humbled himself and was born in the virgin by the pasture of the cross he freed us from unending death and by rising from the dead he gave us life eternal and so with angels and archangels with thrones and dominions with all the hosts and powers of heaven we sing the hymn of your glory as without and we acclaim holy holy holy lord god of hosts heaven and earth are full of your glory hosanna in the highest blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord hosanna in the highest to you therefore our most merciful father we make humble prayer and petition through jesus christ your son our lord that you accept and bless these gifts these offerings these holy and unblemished sacrifices which we offer you firstly for your holy catholic church be pleased to grant her peace to guard unite and govern her throughout the whole world together with your servant francis our pope and donald our bishop and all those who holding the truth hand on the catholic and apostolic faith remember lord your servants and all gathered here whose faith and devotion are known to you for them we offer you the sacrifice of praise or they offer or they offered for themselves and all who are dear to them for the redemption of their souls in hope of health and well-being and paying their homage to you the eternal god living and true in communion with those whose memory we venerate especially the glorious of the virgin mary mother of our god and lord jesus christ and blessed joseph her spouse your blessed apostles and martyrs peter and paul andrew james john thomas james philip bartholomew matthew simon and jude linus cletus clement sixtus cornelius cyprian lawrence chrisogynist john and paul cosmos and demon and all your saints we ask that through their merits and prayers in all things we even be defended by your protecting help therefore lord we pray graciously accept this oblation of our service that of your whole family order our days and your peace and command that we be delivered from eternal damnation and counted among the flock of those you have chosen be pleased oh god we pray to bless acknowledge and approve this offering in every respect make it spiritual and acceptable so may become for us the body and blood of your most beloved son our lord jesus christ and the day before he was to suffer he took bread in his holy and venerable hands with eyes raised to heaven to you god is almighty father giving you thanks he said the blessing broke the bread and gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and eat of it for this is my body which will be given up for you [Music] um in a similar way when supposed enemy took this precious chalice in his holy and venerable hands and once more giving you thanks he said the blessing and gave the chalice to his disciples saying take this all of you and drink from it for this is the chalice of my blood the blood of the new and eternal covenant which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins do this in memory of me the mystery of faith save us savior the world for by your cross and resurrection you have set us free therefore oh lord as we celebrate the memorial the blessed passion the resurrection from the dead the glorious resurrection the glorious ascension into heaven of christ your son our lord we your servants and your holy people offer to your glorious majesty from the gifts you have given us this pure victim this holy victim this spotless victim the holy bread of eternal life and the chalice of everlasting salvation be pleased to look upon these offerings with this serene and kindly countenance and to accept them as once you are pleased to accept the gifts of your servant abel the just the sacrifice of abraham our father in faith and the offering of your high priest melchizedek a holy sacrifice a spotless victim in humble prayer we ask you almighty god commanded these gifts be born by the hands of your holy angel to your ultron high in the sight of your divine majesty so that all so that all of us who through this participation at the altar receive the most holy body and blood of your son may be filled with every grace and heavenly blessing remember also lord your servants who have gone before us with a sign of faith and rest in the sleep of peace grant them o lord we pray in all who sleep in christ a place of refreshment light and peace to us also your servants who those sinners hope in your abundant mercies graciously grant some share in fellowship with your holy apostles and martyrs with john the baptist stephen matthias barnabas ignatius alexander marcelinus peter felicity perpetua agatha lucy agnes cecilia anastasia and all your saints admit as we beseech you into their company not weighing our merits but granting us your pardon through christ our lord through whom you continue to make all these good things oh lord we sanctify them fill them with life bless them and bestow them upon us through him and with him and in him o god almighty father in the unity of the holy spirit all glory and honor is yours forever and ever at the savior's command and formed by divine teaching we dare to say our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil deliver us lord we pray from every evil graciously grant peace in our days that by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our savior jesus christ for the kingdom the power and the glory are yours now and forever lord jesus christ who said your apostles peace i leave you my peace i give you look not on our sins but on the faith of your church and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will who live
