John's Gospel the 3rd chapter xiv 15 16 17 and 18th verses that's numbers 21 amen 4 through 9 and st. John chapter 3 verses 14 through verse 18 and I want you to listen tonight amen to the word of the Lord when you have its amen read what the Bible says and they journeyed from uh-huh by the way of the rich side the way of the Red Sea the Bible says to accomplish the land of edom uh-huh and the soul of the people was much discouraged as the Bible says that the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way cause of the way that they went that matter they meant that God just brought them out they're discouraged because of the way that they have to do amen but when you look at where he just brought you from why doesn't matter and sometimes with focusing on things that really have no importance at all amen out of bondage now you out of sin I would have said but you're complaining because of the way that he decided to take you free and the people speak against God the Bible says that they didn't only speak against God but read and against Moses they spoke against his servant to a man they got so angry so discouraged so frustrated but they've not only spoke against God but they wanted to do harm to the message Oh Reid where have you brought us up out of Egypt why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness uh-huh for there is no bread neither is there any water and I was so low that this light bread god we sick of eating this stuff God is raining down from the clouds I thought you said you didn't have the need you just got through complaining you have nothing to eat but then try to ride and say we sick of God's provision you know this ain't nobody but the devil got you thinking that you had a disadvantage and you can't even see that God's been providing for you all this time he got nothing me they ain't no bread ain't no water and we're sick of this light break you just said you didn't have Bri and then turn the rat I said we sick of God's bread now which one is it you know what you let him but devil will have you walking around here as a living walking talking breathing contradiction we and the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people God got tired of them complaining and they beat the people the Bible said he sent serpents not the scarab he's in serpents to bite the people read and much people of Israel died their lord have mercy God sent fiery serpents to not just scare them but they bit them and they died don't tell me God is gonna put up with foolishness forever there's a point when even God says that's enough we therefore the people came to Moses and said uh-huh we have sinned for we have spoken against the Lord we have spoken against the Lord and against thee and against you pray unto the Lord that he take away the Serpent's from us we talked about you but now we need you talk to God with us you know well breathe and Moses pray for the pen Moses prayed for I've seen God working just like that folk that talk about you like a dog god I'll hit him in a fight and they'll end up in your prayer line crying I just need you to pray they came and said Moses we didn't just talk against God but we talked him how to shoot let me be wonderful if people breathe and the Lord said unto Moses Lord said unto Moses make thee a fiery serpent make a fiery Serpent and set it up on a pole set it up on a pole and it shall come to pass and it shall come to pass that every one that is bitten that when they get pen when he look upon it mmm shall live if he looks upon it he shall live breathe and Moses made a serpent of brass did what God told him to do and put it up on a pole and it came to pass that if a serpent had bitten any man really man got bit when he beheld a serpent of brass ah he lived he lived st. John the 3rd chapter beginning at the 14th verse and mo and as Moses lifted up the seat says just like Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness uh-huh even so must the Son of Man be lifted even so must the Son of Man be lifted up that whosoever believeth in him better whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life Reid for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life 4 God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saying but that the world through him might be saved the hung he that believeth on him is not condemned that believeth on him is not condemned but he that believeth not but if you don't believe hold it it's condemned already who already condemned not because of what the preacher says real because he had not believed in what you condemned because you have not believed in the name of the only begotten is a name of the only begotten Son of God God look at somebody and just kill amoeba in mercy God provided a way that's what I want to talk to you about tonight amen the fact that in mercy God provided oh wait and I don't know about you but I'm glad he provided a way cuz I couldn't make away it myself hey man there's nothing that we could have done nothing that we a man as as people as humanity could have done to ever make God come back to the table and want to have a conversation with us again this had to be something God decided to do all his own and I want you to know tonight remember if you're saying it's nothing that you did it's nothing that you deserve Amen it's nothing that you put together that broke God back to the table but it was simply the Grace and the mercy of God that made him decide to sit down and have a conversation with you do you know Amen that if God did not have the wheel to walk to be reconciled with us Amen we would still be and I was saying we would still be people on our way to hell thinking that we're living the best life that we could possibly live but it was mercy that God said come now inside of you before when God gives the animal commands animals respond they do what mankind is the only thing in creation that question God's Authority he told the dog the boy thousands of years ago the dog still from the Book of Psalms says it like this great and marvelous things did he I wish I feel like preaching this great and marvelous things he did and he did it right before that they needed water cuz you know man can't live by bread alone God caused water flow Minh up it means gush he calls water to gush out of a rock now you got bread falling out the sky water gushing at Arak a better crowd in front of you Yahweh stand up in it can okay you know what I'm trying to preach communion can I can I tell you something you might be in your will to this but you already got it better than you ever did and so they had a laundry list of great and marvelous things but you know one thing that characterized Israel that God absolutely up hoard was the fact that they were ungrateful he said it in Lourdes sister drama didn't preach that Sunday school teacher that Sunday School lesson he says when you get over you he said but when you get there just don't forget who wrote you know where you are they have seen the plague after plague they so want to turn the blood they just experienced the death of the firstborn of all of Egypt they saw God's hand in a heavy way well then the Bible said that same God that was so strong and invited to deliver they start talking against him now if I saw lice foul-ups darkness are you always saying than you if I saw water turn the blood and if I stood at the Red Sea and so water heap up on both sides and I walked through the midst of the Red Sea well like a possum very used to say like fish in an aquarium you used to get fish and look at them not a whale I mean are the shots or whatever then and just sitting there look at that you want alligators and everything isn't just sitting there watching you walk back you get to the other side and God said turn around and look cause you how about the enemies you just won't see this with no more he paused the whales off the chariots so that's your enemy can't get away trout Pharaoh and his army got that kind of power I want to be on they say but there's so all of that and they talked about god they crazy if you just saw what he did to his enemies how would you want to be one of them oh is it that they felt entitled to the mercy and the grace of God how did they figure they could get away with this and he just killed a whole army and so the Bible said they started talking against God and not only did they talk against God they started talking against Moses they mad at God and man at the servant of God can't get to God that's what they really angry at it's the only thing they can do is let's get to his serve now you the one cried out for a deliverer God sent you one and now you're complaining about the one God sent you and the Bible says because of their ungrateful hearts God decided he'd had enough of their complaint people don't believe that God will ever get to the point to where he says I've had enough but sons and daughters read your Bible the Bible says because they started complaining he didn't just do what you know he did thrown us out here today said God said that's it he sins what numbers calls fiery serpents sorry I was reading I wonder what does that mean hurry some commentators surmise that it was because of their color some say was because of the vicious nature and other says it was because of their poisonous nature but God sends fiery serpents listen he didn't just cinema scare people people died just like he brought plagues on Egypt now he sends a plague of fiery serpents among his own people tell me what God won't do and the Bible says that after Wow they spotted diet people started dropping can you well y'all get quieted finding their way into everything in the house then the Bible says that once enough of them died then they come back to Moses so Moses listen the guilty we talked against God we talked against you and I'm telling you they used to tell me you got to make your words sweet cuz you might have to eat them again huh God has send you right back to that same person you've been talking about you always Sandin see why you feeling good you just doing everything you can do to everybody you can do it too but just just give it some time and God has a way of spurring our individual situations and God will send you right back you got fired well y'all getting cries yeah that person you ride next to on the freeway acting crazy and blowing your horn and doing all other ungodly things I got this job interview get out of my way and get to the interview and that's the man sitting behind the desk [Applause] you walk in see him there just turn around and walk back outta they go worth this time they had to come right back to the man they were talking against and God said Moses in mercy I'll provide a way I want you to take a serpent of brass put it up on a pole the same thing that's causing the problem is about to become the solution put a serpent on a pole and when they get bit because I'm not gonna take the snakes out of the city at that shot all the power [Music] can you imagine if these serpents were Cobras or rattlesnakes and Yahweh's and black numbers and stuff that was guaranteed to kill you it didn't matter it didn't matter what kind of snake it was oh you needed to know is that if it bites me hole I got a do you always say nothing what I'm trying to tell you and [Laughter] [Applause] I love it because in the Word of God you have concepts called types we talked about that types are things in the Word of God that relate on some level to some lay the truth this serpent was a type of Christ just like Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness now I just told you the story because of their sin because of their ungratefulness because of their rebellion God since something among the consequences of their own action and Jesus said just like Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness even so must the Son of Man be lifted [Music] Thank You Moses just like God took the very thing that was causing the problem and he used it as the solution man was the problem and because man was the problem car needed a man Yahweh's sending hills to get us out of the problems and the troubles that a man [Applause] god said just like that serpent all they had to do was look and live now and look and our live jesus said if I be lifted if I be lifted control o men you've got to see that this is God's mercy making away if it would have been justice but in Marseille Lord I don't know y'all sitting there like like you don't know what mercy was all about if God had it gave us what we deserve if God hadn't meted out to us the punishments that we deserve none of us would have been here right now I wish I could get you to look at somebody I'm so glad about mercy I'm just grateful he meant at the mercy of God amen found its way to me away so now jesus said out drawn to me this is the way it must be done has to be done this same way because sin is killing you because of man's lack of loyalty to God sin is killing us in the [Applause] [Music] oh you have to do is look just look and you can live you know you had somebody you got to know there was somebody I don't believe in all that somebody undoubtedly got bit by a snake girl you better look I don't believe knowledge superstition what just sit there and die the end just it's foolish for that when you could have live and you got people now except the right solution [Music] and now say God provided away let's look at what Jesus said he said just like he lifted that serpent the Son of Man and must also be lifted up that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life and he goes into it and since it's only because God so loved the world that's all and I know a whole lot of people looking at yourself and trying to figure out what it is about me that he loved listen that's what makes grace so amazing I do not know just how he came to love Lee's rod I'm just looking for about 112 of you that's glad that he's the kind of God that can look past your fault [Applause] he said it was because God loved us he said it's because God loved us that's only it's only reason why we're here and sole reason why we've survived this long God just loves us just loved us and we can't pick it out I really wanted tonight to kind of bring in the story amen Bible talks about a prophet who God said to go and marry a woman of whoredom y'all remember hope said now listen he told him that he you know you have to clarify stuff 9 praise the Lord he he told Hosea to go and take unto him a woman loved by her neighbor this woman was a whole that's the politically correct way to say that right the Bible says he he goes and takes this y'all want me to shut up he goes and and and takes a woman of whoredom to be his wife and and and and she has children lord have mercy and and and you know when when she act laughs like that you you always look and try to figure out my ears is that my nose feet don't look like my feet can you imagine this man marrying a woman that done been with every man in the city and in the grocery store you turn around and see man pass another phone number every man walked by speaking to a strawberry whoo-hoo [Applause] and now listen I didn't say it before if you used to dance on tables telling that upfront cuz he gonna run into some of your friends after a while and wonder why they calling you strawberry and the Bible says as hard as it is to turn a ho into a housewife he he marries her she has children and then she decides she want to go back to the streets and leave him with children that look like the man and the Bible says one day he's walking and he sees er on the auction block she went back out there and played around and didn't even realize that the best thing God was ever gonna give her was still at the house and and and and and the Bible says that he he still loved her Lord see he loved she turned her back on him went out and played the harlot but he's still real after when they were trying to beat her off to the highest bidder this man goes and gets his money goes and get his valuables and everything of worth they goes back in he goes back to try to redeem but two times but he did it because he loved her I try to figure out what made God give the value of his son or budget ungrateful back suit no respect people like we used to be such a man tell him he just loved me like that huh I don't I don't understand he just he just loved me like that and because he does never find yourself on that auction block again never walked them streets again in mercy he found a way and we're here tonight simply because of grace and mercy grace giving us what we don't deserve mercy is keeping us from the things we do this don't you know all of us deserve if we went here tonight we wouldn't know two things we deserved it and we chose it but in mercy he found a way he gave us a cure for our problem that's why we're grateful that's why we praise him that's why we serve Him and what God wants from us more than anything else is loyalty he wants our obedience he wants our service but he wants us to have a heart to follow after him look at where I got him and I'll get you in the same situation in mercy he found a way he said God loved us that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish that's what you have to do see in numbers 21 they had to physically look at a serpent on the pole but now oh you have to do its look to him in your spirit just look to him that means to acknowledge him as the answer to your problem if you look to him he'll save you he'll deliver you he'll set you free he said listen I didn't come because I wanted me in the day you didn't come to condemn the world but that don't mean the world is not condemned but it's not because he condemned him you know that's what they say about us when we preach holiness god I don't want to hear a harlot condemnation he said you're not gonna be him because of what I say to you you condemn because you have not believed on the name of the only begotten Son well y'all here with somebody said do do people go to hell but smoking no I'll tell you why they go to hell they go to hell because they have not believed on the only begotten Son of God smoking is just one of the ways you know that they haven't believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God that's the reason why people are condemned you gotta have a murder oh you go to hell because you have not believed on the only begotten Son of God murdering is just a manifestation of the fact that you haven't believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God that's the reason why people are condemned has gonna do it what I preach are you gonna do whether I tell you you gonna hell if I don't tell you you still going because you have not been on the name of the only begotten Son of God but God loves you and you don't even have to be found in that place all you have to do now is accept the Grace and the mercy of God he always send on him he devised the way to bring you back into right fellowship with him I want you to stand tonight hallelujah he found the way yes he did and tonight maybe there's somebody here maybe you're still suffering from the consequences the snakes are still biting you I want you to know it doesn't matter what kind of snake it is God is still saying all you have to do is look you know to me to be the solution to your problem look to me to pull you out of sin and shame just look to me instead of trying to find the answer in people instead of trying to drown your problems look to me and if you look you can live why will you die he asks when you can look and live he's not trying to make it hard what's more simple and just looking and finding life some of the times people present Christ as if he's trying to make it hard for you to be saved no he's simplified the process whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life and tonight I want you to sit there doubting in your heart saying it can't be that simple he's paid the price already he's opened up the door what more could it do and tonight whatever head is bowed and every eye is closed if there's somebody here that's not saved and you don't know I'm in the pardon of your sin I'm calling you out of that seat I'm calling it to this altar if you're here I can't make you be saved but I'm telling you tonight that his presence is here to set you free into the living room I want you to come come on come on somebody else needs to come come on you're here come on young man you can come young lady you can come he laid the foundation he opened up the way and all you got to do is come if you need to grab somebody by the hand and ask him if they'll walk you this way they'll do it huh I just want you to come he's a good god he's faithful and he's just and might I say to you tonight he's a merciful I want you to come come if there's
