Exploiting my employees FOR PROFIT in Big Ambitions!

hello fellow engineers and welcome back to Big Ambitions now in this game we are playing as this guy here our name is Matt obviously we're 18 and just 11 days ago we were homeless with absolutely nothing but our uncle helps us out and we've started our own business real civil engineer dot Co and a big thanks to Shopify for sponsoring this video but more on them later but if we head inside this building check out this this is my merch store where basically we're just selling the architect tears mug for some reason they're described as a cheap gift I don't really understand that I do not agree yeah but we've also got a vending machine as well as our employee over here now this is Jennifer Clark yeah essentially she is running the place so where's all the customers oh there's a customer there's a customer okay so that's good so money is being made which means I can go about my day now at the moment we have a range of objectives we need to do I mean our main objective is obviously like everyone in the world is to become a millionaire but until then we need to work on these so oh Uncle Fred is calling yo Uncle Fred what's up yeah the business is doing well thanks oh you think I should finish that business course the fundamentals of Business Administration I'd rather pull my hand in claps but it's fine fine fine fine I'm on it I'm on it yeah then we'll drive to school I mean we're going to school at like 4pm I'm sure I'm sure we can get some learning done today oh that's illegally parked as you can see that so we will get a parking ticket if we leave it there so slightly moving it off the curb that is fine so we'll park there head inside the business school we need to learn about the fundamental business um it ends in and out no I don't want to study for one hour I want to study for three hours I've got to do 24 hours of this okay perhaps tomorrow I should show up a little bit earlier I'll tell you what let's head outside back into our car because uh the best thing about owning a car is you can sleep anywhere so let's go to sleep and we'll wake up just before eight so I assume that this building will be open and ready to teach me in the morning right 11 hours of learning yes please I'm learning so much I'm learning so much uh however I I have just collapsed I sort of forgot about my food and stuff oops you're being taken to hospital too much learning I did too much learning hey I made profitly okay so the good news is I'm still alive they've refilled my energy bars with food bars and bad news is I don't think this is the UK so I might have quite a hefty Bill oh hospital two grand two grand okay so we gotta we gotta keep an eye on our food when we're trying to learn um the other thing is I have 500 meters away from the business school and therefore away from my car have a look on the map how far where the heck where am I okay taxi taxi can I actually get in a taxi is that a thing click to use taxi oh thank goodness well this is gonna cost me more money I mean not exactly flushing at the moment we're only making 100 quid a day and I've already spent two grand today it's gonna cost us 96 quid to get back there fine I've wasted some hours uh the good news is though it's actually the next day so presumably I can get some more learning in right yeah let's learn for eight more hours oh we have a message from our employee as well hopefully she doesn't just quit Hi boss I've got to let you know I haven't been happy blah blah blah blah blah okay she's just threatening to quit it's not too bad I'm running a business is hard still I'm trying to learn so that I can provide us a better future Jennifer why don't you understand this I mean like looking at the satisfaction she's doing a terrible job anyway customer service nine percent having highly trained customer service employees will increase them oh they always want training employees they want the interior decorated as well fine first off before I die I'm going next door to Lucas Pizza I get 50 Cent discount over here because I'm next door to it and if you remember the end of last episode we were aiming to start our own burger place I mean are they not Burger oh he sells Burgers as well you might have to compete with Luca they are basically in this market Insider app you can see which shop is in demand so basically people wanting Burgers there's a hundred percent demand for it hence we're going to be opening our very own engineering Burger competing with Mr Beast a little the bag back here and then I guess we need to do some cleaning because this place is dirty and I haven't hired a cleaner yet thankfully because they've barricaded everyone at the front it means only this front bit actually needs cleaning so that might cheer Jennifer up I feel like I should probably like train her in customer service though oh she has to be unassigned so it's going to cost me money to train her because she can't work so do I close the shop for one day I mean or I could just press this button that will solve a lot of problems all right fine you're unassigned you're being trained 300 quid I'm investing in it and she's just threatened to quit I don't think this is a good investment map alright so this is our current schedule basically we're open every day eight till four uh Jennifer Works seven days a week but because she's on training tomorrow I'm gonna have to close the entire store I hope she feels guilty about that but I mean I'm gonna drive back to the school and finally finish this course so two hours of studying later we have a tick nice yeah look hey young Fred yeah it's all completed yeah I'm gonna get that burger place up and running don't you worry yeah I know if it worked for Mr Beast it'll probably work for me too but don't worry I'll come up with a much more original name than needed so in the map filter we have these buildings for rent so you want to go into retail then I guess we just want to find someone with really good traffic so that's like how many people walk past so 48 in that one this one up here is 39. so this little corner plot down here this is on the same building that's that's where my uh where my merch store is currently so this is where the burger shop is going to go I think because it's got 50 traffic that's like the best I could find so we're gonna open in the basement and we can see we need two and a half Grand deposit some electrical appliances blah blah blah blah blah I'm sure the sums will work out fine so let's rent the building and start a new business so this is gonna be a fast food restaurant oh there's 20 competitors in the neighborhood not ideal but we'll select that anyway and then we need to come up with a name to rival Mr Beast burger oh yeah originality for the win so this is our current location it's a bowl of salad even though we're a burger place yeah probably gonna change that to my face but we are going to keep it green just so people think it's healthy I'm going to want to hire someone for this so over here is a recruitment agency there oh this shot on a Sunday anyway so we've got 22 hours I guess to get the shop in a fit State before we can get some employees so let's head to the Appliance store so we can buy like the grill and stuff because you don't just you can't just have Burgers like pre-made you gotta cook them in the store so here we are that was actually beautiful parking oh what their shutters why does everyone close on a Sunday all right well fine we can just literally head across the road and see oh there's Mr engineered Burger look at it the best thing about this I won't have to go to Lucas's anymore I can literally I get free food for life now oh by the way a very brief Story Time with Matt uh when I was at Uni I had this friend that like really really liked beer like I mean most people probably have friends that really like that but uh he he he was serious in this he always said his dream was to own a pub so that he had free beer like I don't think he realized the business logic that you still have to buy the beer if you're a business owner you don't just get free beer for being a pub but yeah story time with that yeah whilst that was going on you probably got a tour of the old Burger Joint looks pretty nice in my opinion um well I'm sort of hungry so I might try out my my competitors the next door we got kebabs oh yeah look at this layout look at this layout okay this could work this could work for me can I actually just have a little nose around in the kitchen is that all right guys oh yeah there there isn't a kitchen wait wait where'd you cook the food oh this bit is the kitchen okay do you do french fries you got salad then your burgers are up there okay got it got it now thanks for letting to sabotage him a little bit and to be honest as I got nothing better to do I may as well just run my own shop for a bit I know right so we stayed open till eight o'clock they also made a little bit of money 160 quid yeah I am once again sleeping in my car I know there's no employees there's no employees I forgot Jennifer's back but I forgot to I forgot to assign it wait I've trained her up and now her satisfaction's gone down how has this happened she's only been hired five days and she's four percent satisfied for that job oh man these guys are like my Essences anyway the good news is the appliance shop is now open so let's get in there and let's get some stuff so we can cook some burgers so industrial how much is that anyway I've got one I'm gonna shove them on the old on the old hand truck wheels I need a cabinet as well I'm sure that will fit in a small box yep there you go it's sat on there nicely by the way hand truck Mater all right so we'll place our last two grand it's gonna cost me money dropping pretty fast be fair though I'd rather I'd rather buy this than have another hospital visit so shove it in my truck Park the hand truck there can't get a parking fine for that and then we'll just drive to my store which is only a short little stretch down here oh I forgot I wasn't playing GTA I just went through a red light all right we'll take the cabinet inside well I think on an angle is quite nice here why why do we want to be the same as everyone else we want to be different so we're going for an angled an angled cooker here that's how you get the best taste and burger you always want to cook at 45 degrees so yeah we want that to cook a burger uh we probably actually need a way to sell these sort of forgot a cash register hang on a second we've also got to head to the wholesale building so we can buy some burgers so question is where where do I get burgers in this place Burgers there you go they're just stacked on the Shelf no Refrigeration no nothing but yeah let's buy can I buy like loads of burgers so I don't have to keep coming back I can oh sweet okay we've got 400 Burgers on us presume be this new sell-by date so let's just Wang these in it place order 600 quids to be fair it's not that far off my usual McDonald's order but nice a thank you we'll take these to our car then leave the hand truck there so I can get out easily nice thanks for letting me out mate very generous of you oh Jennifer just resigned what a knob I trained her for nothing see this is why you should never train your staff right editors right right well I just bought all the other Essentials as well like cash register cleaning station Etc so now we can head back to our shop then just grab everything we need from the car head inside and yeah now we have Burgers ready to go and you can see our uncle is very pleased with us because we have two businesses up and running well they're not actually up and running but I I do have two businesses so now we just gotta head to the recruitment agency because not only do we need to replace Jennifer we've got to get a new employee for our new shop as well so I can try and find better candidates but look how much it costs I can also wait longer but time is money so yeah just one candidate one day whoever applies first gets the job literally how all my editors were employed so as well as that I need to find someone for Mr engineer Burger now they need to be good at I guess customer service as well again same deal if anyone plays give them the job so for now we'll just make sure we're stocked up so drinks cabinet that's got everything it needs and our cash register has paper bags so we're ready be ready to sell essentially so if we come into the Mr engineered Burger schedule we can say we'll open up today as a little a little test go and look customers coming in customers coming in so you're assign myself then if we fast forward to the end of the shift did we make any money uh we've still got a thousand how many burgers do we still got 100 Burgers okay um ah it might be because my cash register is not placed on a cabinet because you can't sell a burger if your cash register's on the floor anyway this is why I did a little trial run just to make sure we're all good I'm gonna let's let's stay open till midnight now let's just go for it right so we get a burger which means we come over to it I'm sort of seeing where there could be some issues with her because from the catchers though we have to walk all the way over to the burgers we need to be like all within range like I know I said cooking at 45 degrees was the way to do this but perhaps I want to surround the employee I know and that guy up there look you can't find a place to sit down okay we need to invest in tables and chess maybe some lights it's getting dark in here anyway let's try machine to the end of the shift and oh no we're running out of energy didn't even make it to midnight okay let's shut the shot not quite a disaster but teething issues I'd say let's let's try and make this a bit more efficient oh wow look we sold do we sell 81 burgers that is not bad okay let's restock everything and let's try and make this efficient so I literally want to surround the the employee um we might actually be in trouble I am out of energy pretty much nowhere is open like I just need food why can't I just eat one of these burgers why can't I eat my own profits all right well anyway we don't have a lot of choice but to sleep in the car and hope we just don't die during the night from Hunger okay looking good looking good it's 7 A.M I think this is when a few of the places open yes Joe's hot dogs you can always rely on them hot dog and soda Breakfast of Champions all right so in the meantime let's see does our new does our new layout work so we're going for a 16 hour stint solo work in here say what these are these are Gourmet Burgers as well we're going up to seven dollars a pop right okay so let's see does our new layout work so someone placed an order I literally turned to my left cook a burger job's a good one if they want a drink just turn around nice oh there's lots of people saying I'm not paying that much we're losing a lot of customers I mean this isn't any old Burger it's Mr engineer Burger why don't you understand this oh well the good news is the queue is out the door the bad news is we're not serving this woman for some reason so we're just time machine to the end of the shift see what happens all recruitment agency oh man what what happened today it looks like a war zone so first things first let's uh let's restock everything then give the floor a bit of a clean oh did you see that we reached 100 customers today not bad at all now we can then check out our new candidates so Victor Sullivan is 49 yeah let's hire him sounds good and then Annabelle Foster as well shooting wants 11 quid an hour you are definitely hired so tomorrow Victor can work in there for eight hours it looks like he'll do 56 hours a week even though he's meant to be part-time so yeah you just work seven days a week you're gonna run Mr Burger engineer then Annabelle Foster you're in the merch store I'll tell you what I'll give you something I haven't done in a long time I'm gonna head home so let's get in the car drive up to our house Park up here the vehicle was too damaged to drive oh what I now don't have a vehicle okay we have to get that repaired somehow but for now let's head back inside and I hope there's some food in the fridge oh there is fresh food oh that was lucky that was actually lucky okay so now we see the next morning and then hopefully money should be flying in because we won't have to do anything today ah yeah except for maybe maybe fix our car actually does it's a car block in the road interesting we'll keep an eye on that but that could be a way to persuade some customers to head to our shop but uh for now let's head back to our stores and see how they're working without me there wait where's it closed oh it doesn't open till later that's fine that's fine merch wait where where where where's my new employee oh this is a good start this is not a good start I mean she's meant to be in oh wait why is she on cleaning no don't do cleaning what you do you're meant to be on the cash register right okay now we're selling mugs again nice in the meantime I reckon I can probably improve my my burger shop if you've had somewhere to sit down yeah maybe we could get some boots two grand fine let's pack this up into a tiny box here we go and uh sticking with the theme we're gonna do angled boots so this is going to be a success right I think I'm I'm just wasting time I may as well I may as well be open like until old Victor starts his schedule so what time do we need to work till yeah I can just do a quick four hour stint here we go we're actually making money now so we're just gonna work till four o'clock and then old Victor can take over well as soon as he join everyone quit everyone like left what what's wrong with Victor wait no eating in the back room what are you doing I like grinchador's play music okay I'll go buy a music player I guess by the way business is absolutely booming like the booth is completely full with one person if you can't find a place to sit down I mean literally there's only one person sat there I thought a booth like they'd get filled up they wouldn't just be one person setting it oh well anyway pretty sure we are making money which means I can go next door and spend some money on one of their burgers are what cost the same as mine interesting oh what look at the queue in this they got two tills as well maybe that's what I could do I have more tills I can serve more customers and I'll make more money anyway litter in there in the shop then head out all right then go sleep in my car I know it's parked illegally oh now I'm gonna get a parking ticket oh no it's illegal because it's causing this huge traffic jam which honestly gives me ideas trouble is we're gonna need enough money so that we can actually buy enough cars to block all the roads just to guide people to my burger shop anyway now a nice 10 hour snooze and oh no I wake up to notice of parking violation 125 quid a day I'm losing just because the car's parked out the front I gotta get it repaired so I can move it all right so look at how my businesses you can see the burger is making some fat cash real civil engineer Co has some work to do so I feel like what I might do today I might go to the marketing place get some more employees and then just open the shop for longer it's how desperate I am for employees I'm literally stood outside the shop waiting for it to open I need more customer service so yeah we'll buy you and then I'm sort of thinking do I go with cleaning no I can do that myself I'll get another employee for Mr engineer Burger all right so just come to check on Mr engineer Burger it's not looking great in here why there's only 29 Burgers left there's no drinks okay I'll stock those up and wait wait all the stocks gone oh no we got no stock okay hang on I don't even have a casting I have to run to this place so we need soda cans and more I can't believe any Burgers we sold so that's 300 quid okay can do this a few times that'll be fine but then we just wheel it back to our shop okay so burgers are back on the menu drinks also back on the menu and we're back making money nice and meanwhile people are eating in their favorite spot all right so what's this number's like always going up like it's always green so I'm making money but I feel like this number how much money I have is always going down so not quite sure how this works but yeah the good news is we have cues so oh we have lights as well we finally have lights so at least we are making cash and hopefully if we make 150 quid per business per day our uncle Fred would be very happy with us but I do feel like trying to commit insurance fraud might be a better way to make money grab me over anyway I'm selling this car I can't sell a vehicle with cargo or what cargo does it have it's got some cheap gifts in it okay we'll just leave them oh I can't play okay fine I'll take them to my merch store face them down there make sure my new employees doing well because I want her to quit as well run all the way back to my car oh my goodness I nearly got nailed whoa uh we'll try to commit insurance fraud anymore why is everyone trying to run me over anyway since this thing is broken let's sell it for zero oh okay we'll sell it for zero at least we're not getting fined anymore and when we wake up the next morning oh I know the Burger Shop didn't make any money yesterday this is a disaster Annabelle she wants to quit fair enough Victor he also wants to quit but good news is we have two new candidates Theo and North Cliff so I think I'm just gonna hire them because then my current employees are going to be like well I can just be replaced so might as well just shut up and get on with it and that's exactly how this video got edited alright so I think I can make Theo like clean up at the end of his shift he's gonna be working 77 hours a week actually you may as well work 168 hours a week Theo welcome to the team near northcliff he's also gonna work 24 hours a day half a shift as customer service the other half as a cleaner that means for me I'm going to be making money 24 7. oh yeah so I may as well just sleep for the rest of my life and look at that we made some fat profit and our uncle is very impressed with us meaning our new objective is to play video games for at least an hour because we deserve it after all the hard work we've done right if you guys enjoyed
