according to his own will so we have said that the man that neglect salvation is a man that is not saved a man that treats salvation likely is a man that has not experienced the you know the saving grace of God and we've also said that whenever you know you find him under us understood and accepted the saving grace of Jesus he doesn't treat lightly salvation because you know the book of Timothy tells us that it is the will of God that everybody will be saved and that everybody will come to the knowledge of the truth very important that everyone be saved and come to the knowledge of the true these are two different things number one to be saved as an experience number two to come into the knowledge of the truth about salvation we also saw from the Word of God that the reason why Paul was different from other apostles was because of the insight that Paul had on this subject of salvation all of the Pauline epistles are epistles that deal with the subject of salvation the writer of Hebrews addressing they believe in Hebrews and unbelieving Hebrews said to them how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation that will bring us to some questions in Hebrews chapter 6 specifically and that's why you know as we those questions in-depth study in-depth study of the Word of God is very important the book of Hebrews was written to Jews you know also it was written to catch the attention of non believing Jews and Jews that believe that's why when when it was you know written to them it had a lot to do with scriptures it had a lot to do with types and shadows it had senses exercised to discern between good and evil he says this is written to those who by reason of use so the book of Hebrews chapter five and six was written to equip the believer with materials Christ let us go on unto perfection not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works the word dead works there refers to going back to the law that works means trying to achieve salvation
