[Music] george loved playing hide and seek and playing with charkie was a special challenge george couldn't outsmart charkie's super sense of smell [Music] [Music] um [Music] [Music] [Applause] george loved watching a good storm but first he needed to find charkie [Music] that wasn't a very good place to hide [Music] time for lunch it's my famous pesto pasta with parsley and peas and for our guest my famous uh kibble [Music] maybe instead we'll have my famous something else where was charkie going it was george's turn to hide this was also not a very good place to hide [Music] why was charkie so afraid all of a sudden [Applause] [Music] it's a miracle i didn't get any on my shirt spoke too soon hmm she must be afraid of storms you know lots of dogs are oh poor charkie we're here with you george wondered why charkie was scared of storms [Music] he thought they were kind of exciting [Music] maybe charkie just didn't like all that rain [Music] no sharky loved any excuse to get wet it had to be something else could it be the loud noise the thunder made there was only one way to find out [Music] a little dish soap should get this out [Music] nope it wasn't the loud noise either hmm what else happened during a storm [Music] lightning [Music] nope charkie wasn't afraid of flashes of light [Music] except that kind okay more kibble for charkie and peanut butter and banana sandwiches for us [Music] seems like the storm is getting closer yeah you can tell how close or far a storm is by counting the seconds between the lightning and thunder [Music] quick start counting one two three four five [Music] the last time i counted it was six seconds so it's getting closer but don't worry we're safe in here it's okay it's okay the storm just knocked out the power i'll get some flashlights [Music] well we'll get there eventually [Music] huh [Music] george did you use up the batteries playing with the flashlights again [Music] i'll go ask the doorman for some batteries [Music] good idea oh it's his lunch hour so he might be in his apartment [Music] there were only two seconds between the lightning and thunder the storm was getting closer the doorman's apartment seemed to be empty but where was that music coming from [Music] hundley wasn't scared of this storm at all in fact he didn't even notice it maybe hundley could tell george how to keep charkie calm during the storm [Music] so hundley was afraid of the storm oh hi george is the doorman home [Music] oh then he must be in the lobby i need batteries for my flashlight [Music] batteries sure help yourself thanks again for the tip about the safe space my dog has never been so calm during a storm a safe space is a place dogs can go during a storm they relax there because they can't hear or see the storm ah that's why hundley could sleep through the storm the music distracted him from the thunder and he couldn't see the lightning from the closet it was exactly what charkie needed [Music] take as many as you like i've got tons of them [Music] how about i just stretch my legs a little [Music] boy am i glad to see you george wait [Music] a safe space needed a comfy bed um george nice lighting [Music] soothing music and snacks now all charkie's safe space needed was charkie [Music] finally charkie was calm [Music] the time between the lightning and thunder was getting longer again that meant the storm was moving away and charkie was happy the safe space had worked what's going on in here [Music] wow this is pretty cozy [Music] one two three four five six
