let's go yay for you god huh wow hey thanks for coming back some of you guys came back good so uh do i have any new faces people i haven't met yet anybody new here yeah hi back there hey here wow i gotta put your hands up all at once my new people okay good yay so uh i can't i can't i always try to nut show where we've been to get people on page to where we're at but i already i always have a hard time doing that because i preach the same two sessions over again but uh to not show where we're at i've just been talking about the why behind the cross like why did god really send his son when you ask people why god sent a son most christians all we've been taught is well to die on a cross to forgive our sins so that when we die we can go to heaven and that's really what most of us have been taught our whole lives and and and that sounds great and that's great and it's not that that's not like untrue other than there's a whole lot more to it that brings transformation and change to our lives so what i've been teaching is the real why behind the cross like the intention of god through his son so i've been using genesis let us make man in our image right god said let us make man in our image so god had an intention when he made man now some of you say man you've been talking about this i'm just talking to the new people so he made man for his image when when adam ate the tree and got separated from god that image got lost in man that's right and all of a sudden man became a god unto himself and he didn't just sin he actually took on the nature of god's enemy and the enemy reproduced himself in man after his own kind and he became selfish he became proud i mean when god asked adam how he knew he was naked and did you eat the tree it's a yes or no question guys did you eat the tree as a yes or no question he said it was the woman you gave me for she gave me to eat it's the first effect of sin in your bible it's genesis 3. it's right after he ate the tree and god and him are separated and now he's hiding naked ashamed and hiding from the presence of god they would walk in the coup of the day like he's his father and now he's hiding ashamed guilty conscious of his sin and when he's asking a yes or no question he doesn't have the ability to say yes haven't we done that in our lives haven't we done wrong and soft-pedaled our own sometimes we're caught doing something and then we justify it in our answer rather than just saying we did it we say well it was because he said did you eat the tree and adam couldn't say yes that astounds me that teaches me adam said it's the woman you gave me what's what's he really saying he says look man i don't know but if you when they gave me the woman i probably wouldn't eat the tree so figure it out but don't look at me haven't we lived that way haven't people lived that way so so so jesus comes one of the most powerful do you understand that in the cross there's parallels to the cross like like like he said father why has you forsaken me and there seemed to be a separation from him in the father and they were one from the foundation of the world right and before that from the beginning whatever that means because the hebrew word means a point of time that goes back and back and back to there is no beginning so when you say in the beginning it really doesn't mean beginning it means always was it's crazy word so he says why have you seen me so it's like he's separated from the father and he's paying the price he's becoming sin and why is that taking place to pay the price for us because we've been separated to be forever joint he's dying so we never will he has crushed death hell in the grave so even if you die of physical death because of sin you to be absent from the body is present with the lord so the christians never going to die like no death in that regard do you see what i'm saying so he died so we can live forever we we make that the goal we make that the goal go into heaven we make the goal heaven the goal is fellowship and union with god it's union with deity it's god in you christ in you it's the kingdom of god is at hand it's not you going to heaven it's heaven coming into you that's the goal the goal of the cross is heaven coming into you and me right the reason we have eternal life is because god's eternal and we become one with him through the blood and we have eternal fellowship with him right he's never going to change his mind his love never fails he's never going to leave us or forsake us no one's going to snatch us out of the palm of his hand so death was never in the picture in the garden he said adam when you eat the tree of the knowledge good and evil is the day you surely die why because there's no death in the picture that's why there's eternal life through jesus christ because he takes us back to before the tree so there was no death in the picture so there's no death in union with god are you with me but we make eternal life the carrot and the goal and the motivation to become a christian instead of transformation become in love living by the spirit and pursue in his image see and that's why there's discouraged christians which is totally unscriptural forgive me for getting silly i got to be lighthearted so you don't feel bad discouraged christians is totally unscriptural i can't find it anywhere in the word i can actually only find it in human reasoning and following our past practice and and making ourselves what we've been instead of what he is the reason you're discouraged if there's self-centeredness in our life watch this if all you're thinking about is the kingdom and all you care about is his name and the sake of others there's no discouragement even you don't even have the foundation for discouragement i can show you a scripture it's it's it's there it's hebrews 12 3 it says consider him who are we following him we're not following each other who is him in the first two verses he's the author and the finisher of our faith right for the joy set before him despised the shame he went to the cross right and it says in verse 3 consider him who endured such hostility against himself at least you be weary and discouraged in your souls in other words then at least you'll find a reason for discouragement come on discouragement is normal to everybody but it's not normal to the kingdom why because the kingdom's here and the kingdom has a whole different reason for being in a whole different motive in life and we're supposed to take that on and we'll never walk out christ and i've been preaching to the new people i've been preaching for two sessions strong we've got to be christians for more than well-being we have to be christians more than for survival and protection and keep me safe and keep what's dear to me and order god that's a sure sign for discouragement because if something goes wrong on that list now you're in a quandary and you have more questions than you ever have answers do you know you can ask unhealthy questions you can get in a quandary and get a wrong idea and all of a sudden the questions get so surmounted that it actually erases the things you knew happened to john the baptist john the baptist knew jesus was the son of god he's in prison he's wondering why he's in prison well if i'm the if i'm the greatest prophet of the mouth if i'm the voice crying out in the wilderness if i was ordained if i leaped for joy in my mama's womb when her when mom and mary met and i'm kicking and leaping for joy because i already perceived jesus and my life was anointed from conception and i was called through prophecy and and i was in the wilderness minister to by god in the revelation that when i saw him i knew he was the lamb and now he's in prison and he says to a disciple go ask jesus if he's the one or should we look for another you don't ask that question when you already know the only reason he asked that question is because he had questions based on his circumstances well if i'm him then why am i in prison if he came to open prison doors why am i behind one so is he really the savior because he's really not manifesting in my life and everything i've proclaimed him to be i don't see working in my everyday circumstance is he really who i think he is and he asked his disciples to go ask jesus a question he already knew the answer to why because the question started to supersede what he knew because he looked at his circumstance and not the truth and all of a sudden he weighed god by his life instead of him are you with me yeah yeah you can't go there i love jesus jesus said he said you go back and tell john what you're both seeing here he talks about the dead raising and the deaf hearing and the blind sin and he said the lame walking and he said the poor having the gospel preached to him and he said blessed is the man who's not offended because of me what was he saying john chill man change your heart you're taking this personal blessed is the man who's what not offended with me now watch if you deny yourself and you're not living for yourself and you're seeking the kingdom of god first is offense even possible let me get strong with you since i got you on i got i'm stringing you in now i'm setting you all up and you're you're on it now you're an easy target i can see it you're like we watch this no no watch this if you're seeking first the kingdom of god and you've denied yourself for the name sake of god for the glory of god and for the sake of others is unforgiveness even possible come on don't be afraid to answer is unforgiveness possible when you're selfless when you love not your own life to death will you take account of suffer wrongs or will you walk in love come on i got you man these aren't trick questions these are scriptural questions and there's an answer to all of them and i'll get you nailed if you say no that's not possible i'll just show you scripturally how it's totally possible if you live by faith isn't that something come on so the new people i've been preaching for two sessions how selfishness is the biggest wretch and the biggest trap and the biggest lie on the planet because when i look at my bible no man was created for himself he was created for god's image so the biggest problem on the planet is every day people wake up and live for themselves when they're made for his image and they're not pursuing his image of pursuing their own well-being their own name their own gain their own finances their own esteem and sometimes unfortunately it's at the expense of others and love lays down its life for others well that's a good sign that we got it backwards if love lays down its life for another why are we living in the expense of one another if love takes no account of a suffer wrong why are we holding each other so accountable and why do we have a lot of issues because i don't think we totally understand and realize why he actually sent his son and somehow we got the idea that he came for our sake instead of his great namesake and i think there's discouraged and let down people that have been misled and misguided by countless beneficial sermons that don't include transformation amen i don't mean to be hardcore it's just the way it is there's countless beneficial sermons there's countless sermons that serve you and bless you and keep the attention of the hearer and keep them coming back countless sermons to give you something from him without causing you to become something because of him i went to church my whole life and it it was all about what i could get from him instead of what i could become at age 33 i i i know i got truly born again and from that moment god was gracious to me and showed me that if i didn't have love i had absolutely nothing because the whole goal first timothy 1 5 of our instruction is love so guys i'm just talking plain it's not heavy it's not condemnation it's just a family chat man let's go for this watch if i miss becoming love pursuing to grow into love i miss the whole reason that he came because he came to restore me back to what i was intended to be and if the image of god is love and he made man for his image then he made man to love not to need love what happened is when he got separated from god he got separated from love and he became in need of love and every man since adam was born into the need of love so we've all needed love and we've been hurt by each other and let down by each other we've looked for love in all the wrong places and our esteem and identity has been in shambles because of this whole need of love thing but to know the love of christ which passes knowledge is to be filled with all the fullness of god and i look that up and it means a house with no empty rooms it means a town with no empty houses it means a ship so full of cargo that you can't possibly find space to place one more box why because that house is fully and completely occupied and there is no vacancy imagine getting into a relationship out of the strength in your life the completeness and the fullness entering into a marriage because you're full and complete and overflowing not because you're in need because you're in him wouldn't that be some relationship i think it was that way from the beginning see and i think we get tricked into comparing ourselves among ourselves and we let our own experiences become our own truth testimony in reality so we stereotype our lives by our lives and then never step into his life in us and i don't think it's evil and i don't think it's wicked and i don't think it's intentional i think it's deception and i think we say well yeah but you know we're always going to be well you know everybody has their moments brother and we have all these languages to pacify and explain away the weakness in our lives but i read let the weak say i'm strong you all good so i'm just bringing the new people up to speed this is where we've been this is the christian life like and if we're not becoming love we're missing why he came the whole reason he came is to restore us back to the image i'm going to show you in the bible there's a lot of places i can actually prove it and show you in the bible that it's a restoration to his image there's so many places that jesus makes us one with him that's not arrogant to say that's not heresy that's not it's not blasphemy it's the word of god when when he comes up in matthew 28 raised from the dead it has to be victorious and triumphant don't paint some fairy tale cartoon picture of jesus with a little bird on his shoulder just talking sweet all the time like like like all authority has been given to me in heaven and the earth now go and make all disciples of all men can you imagine the fire in the lord's eyes being raised from the dead having the keys of death hell and the grave where death had no power to hold him where where one spirit holy went into death and said i'm taking the sun and there was nothing anybody could do to stop it there was no strategy there was no bringing the demon hordes from the right when i get on the walkie and give you the talking and give you the signal attack from the left we can consume the lord there's not a movie this thing when when holy walked in there and lit up the place all of hell just fell and bowed and the son of god was raised from the dead don't think it was a struggle and a fight and michael came out limping and gabriel had a bloody nose he just lighted up the place and darkness bowed and the son of god was raised from the dead with the keys of death in hell and the grave so in matthew 28 he says all authority oh don't think he was like all authority [Laughter] all authority in heaven and earth has been given to me and then what's he say he doesn't camp there and say applause as soon as he says it he says go therefore in my name what's he saying everything i am everything i accomplished every bit of my victory put it on represent it and go ye therefore making us one with him everywhere he exalts jesus extremely you ought to do a little bible study in the new testament every time he exalts him and makes him far above the very next verse pertains to us being his body and makes the connection of oneness so you never get the idea well that was jesus isn't that what the church says well that was jesus he's not flattered by that that's not humility that's lack of understanding because when you say well that's what's jesus what you're saying is you can never walk in that but he called you to through the person of holy spirit not in your strength in his power look you don't heal the sick i don't heal the sick but he said heal the sick we don't heal the sick but he said go heal the sick what are we we're supposed to understand he's in us he expects us to understand he's in us why do we lay our hands on the sick because we're supposed to understand when we lay our hands on the sick he lays his hands on the sick [Applause] i was doing a healing service at home i did two public healing services for years it's open to the public god did beautiful and powerful thing my buddy todd some of you know todd he he would come to those services to learn he was just like burning the nest he's just learning he came up to me crying and he said this is really real and i said yeah he's like but god does miracles i said yeah he said if it works here it should work on the street i said well it's not that it works it's who god is it's not a method it's not a it's just what he does it's who he is man i've seen tons of people healed on the street of course he said dude i'm on it and he just took off and never came back he's still out there he never he never came back and all the church could do was criticize him and tell him he's an unbridled horse and if god was really in there'd be more in this and they had all their explanations and reasons for doubt and unbelief and limitation and yet here's a young man that all he knows is he wants to move in what he's believing and go after god and i am sad to say that he got no encouragement from the church whatsoever every leader that i'm aware of in his life except for me of course but he lean on me he'd call me and say man everybody's telling me i'm out of order and and i said well listen man don't make it about that where's your heart motive why are you doing this because jesus he lives in me he wants to love the world he made me a light i'm supposed to shine well then you probably ought to go shine did you gotta be careful you're not creating a war wasn't talking people down but sadly enough there wasn't a leader i'm aware of that cheered him on everybody tried to bridle him and tell him he was out of control and wasn't being led by the spirit he's too immature and he ain't ready well i don't know i found a bunch of disciples in my bible that were carrying in carrying in fear fear for the jews thinking they were next to go on the cross and they were in a fearfest assembly and jesus walked in the middle of them raised from the dead and they freaked out and in that moment fear a second ago oh my goodness it's really you a second later and he says listen as the father sent me i'm sending you be filled with holy spirit now go if you forgive their sins they'll be forgiven if you don't they won't know the way to forgiveness so why don't you walk in love and love them like i've just left you now get out of here and go ain't that amazing they were all messed up just a minute ago they didn't do anything right at the last supper they all said they're going to die for him did any of them die for him no one of them ran out of their clothes trying to get away i'm not the brightest man in the planet but when you run out of your clothes you're not giving up your life if you run out of your clothes you're trying to get away peter denied him three times in the rooster crowd we all know the story and yet jesus when he rose from the dead said mary go tell my brother he didn't say go tell my two-face backstab and say one thing do another don't get a lick of it disciples he said go tell my that's a covenant term yeah that's family you go tell my boys what's he really saying i haven't changed my mind about one of them and they're in a room for fear for their lives all the ones that said they'll die for him are still hiding for their lives and jesus didn't let that change nothing because he's amazing why do we let where people live change us why do we let who people are and aren't decide us why are we why are we only doing as good as people are doing us why don't we follow jesus [Music] i'm so excited you say brother you're out of your mind i'm probably out of yours and that just might be a good place to be [Music] [Laughter] yay i'm not being mean and judgmental way i say this i've been a christian almost 26 years i haven't seen a lot of continued joy in the church i haven't seen a lot of consistency i haven't seen a lot of healthy ongoing attitudes i've seen a lot of worry concern prayer requests and desperate heart cries for help and i've seen a lot of people trouble i've seen a lot of church changing and issues with leadership and that faster is controlling and i don't know if i even want to go back to church and i've seen a lot of people let where people are or aren't beside them and i haven't seen a lot of relationship and in love with jesus and believing the best and never judging a book by the cover if jesus judged our lives outwardly guys we wouldn't have much hope actually we wouldn't have any but he judges us for creative value and purpose and destiny the bible says in corinthians word and in second corinthians 5 were to never judge any man any longer according to the flesh now that we see the truth what's he saying don't you read a man by face value and what he appears to be you read a man by what he's created to be because then you'll love him and not love him there's a big difference when somebody does you wrong and you run to your bedroom and pray about it and you're crying and bowing because they hurt you and you can't believe they did that and god i don't know how i can trust anymore you've got to help my heart and god they said and i can't believe that i don't even know where to go from here and you call that prayer there's a big difference between that and you know and at your bed and saying lord it's almost amazing to me without judging that they had the capacity to go there there's something wrong something they're missing there's so much more than that and god my heart just is crying for them right now because i'm not sure how this just happened but would you intervene and bring revelation because their life is so much more than what they just did and god i'm asking you to reach out and love them and hold them in this time why are you praying that because you are not moved by what they did where you're concerned you're moved for their sake because if they really knew who they were they wouldn't have done what they did see i can't even preach this when in the american church it stumbles the room every time so i'll give you guys a chance to not stumble but everybody has always stumbled every time why does a spouse cheat on a spouse and the church feels bad for the one cheated on and disdains the one that cheated when the one that cheated on or that cheated is in the biggest trouble of all and we have no compassion for the cheater and we have sympathy for the cheated on so then we stereotype them and make them cheated on and give them permission to be broken and call it ministry and compassion preaching brother moller i got a j moller in the back man i got i got molar support here come on and the one that cheated on the person is the one in the biggest trouble if jesus comes back right now this doesn't look good i don't even know where this stands because for a person to have the capacity to do that and understand and misunderstand covenant and cause all kinds of hardship and pain and reality and bring another person in and it's they're missing something they're hiding behind language they have church attendance or church history but they can't know him in that moment why are we crying for the cheated on instead of crying for the cheater why do we show all the sympathy here and have no compassion here because we all know how we'd feel if we were in their shoes so it's actually an indictment against us that we're not carrying a real revelation of love because watch this if i went home and my wife was in an appropriate so if you say oh brother you can you be careful about what you assume i can't and what i've been through and what i understand because if i go home and find that in my family i would break for her say she doesn't have the ability to make me cry for myself why would i be hurt for me if she's so in trouble how am i any less anointed if she cheats on me how am i any less called amen how is my purpose in christ changed oh come on i'm on you a little bit i'm trying to get you to be the first church that ever handled this analogy because none ever have i share that analogy and they just because i had a man in our church who his wife they got unresolved conflicts they got little children they're married and all of a sudden she's on the internet messing around where she shouldn't be and chatting and talking and right then when she needs to hear things she ain't hearing the man on the internet says it all and all of a sudden she's in love it's impossible to be in love she's in infatuation it's an emotional demonic whirlwind it's not love you don't fall in and out of love love never fails it's a demonic emotional whirlwind she's vulnerable and he's filling her gap because jesus ain't her husband sure and she's calling it love and it's a hollywood emotional movie line and she's going to run to him and fall in his arms and he's going to make her feel like a woman that's wanted ugly movie ugly ugly movie because it's never hinged on truth she said i tried to talk her out but she cried she said i've been good my whole life it's time i have fun i said fun fun and i'm pretty intense pastor i am i love you and i'm gentle but i will try to save your life if i can i will snatch you out of fire if i can oh i'll save you with compassion if god takes me that way there's times i will snatch you out of the fire i hung up on a friend that was in a woman's house he should have never been in and i yelled at him you would have saw me and thought i was in sin i was trying to save his life from hell itself and i yelled at him and said how dare you and try to say this is god maybe you're a spot in our love feast maybe you're one of these clouds without water and all these scriptures came out of me that i didn't even know were in me but they came out of me like fire and i slammed the phone i wouldn't hung up on you when i wasn't saved because i'd enjoyed the contest but i hung up on him after i was saved i was so shook and thought i missed god so bad i crawled under my desk in a little ball and cried because i care and i don't want to miss god and i cried and i said god i think i'm losing it i think i crossed the line i think i i think i'm so mad at him right now i think i yelled at him so bad and the whole time i'm under there crying my phone's ringing and i went and i felt like the biggest hypocrite in the planet because the lord said you better get your phone and i crawled out and i cleaned up hello and i said the church name i'm a mess i'm a basket case but i can't say so i sucked it up hello i said the church name and i got a man on the other end crying so hard you can't understand english and it was him he told me later because he knew me so well and he never saw me even close to that expression in my life that when i went like that on the phone and banged the phone he said i must be way out there deceived for dan to react like that and he said this revelation hit him and spirit of god hit him and he said i literally thought i was in hell itself and he cried and he kept saying on the phone i'm in hell i'm in hell please help me i'm in hell and i said that same thing came on me i said oh i'll help you i said i'll tell you right now what you do because he said i don't know what to do i said i'll tell you what to do and i'm screaming you pack your things now now asap get in the car now and you get yourself back home now i'll see you at home bam i called his wife and said she's he's on the way she said how do you know i said he's coming i said it's 11 hour drive he'll be there in 10 and a half i got a lot of stories going here don't i now the new ones won't understand this one but i gotta do this because it's on my heart i don't usually leave a story hanging but remember when the guy interviewed me and i closed the folder i worked in that warehouse for two months two i worked there six months but two months in i was having the time of my life in there two months in the intercom called my name to a certain office it was new cubicles and things they made in there and i wasn't familiar with the number and i didn't catch who did it because it's loud and machinery but i ran over to my supervisor and i said did i just get called to like room 326 back in that new hall he said yeah he said i don't know who's calling you and why when you're on the floor with your team man he said but try to make it quick i said oh well you know i'll make a quick buddy you know he said yeah yeah just i go back to the human resource guy the new people i i got interviewed for a job and he accused me of using my answers to preach to him and god gave me a word of knowledge about his life and for the last two years and his family and he shook and trembled and raw it was fun and i walked out of the door and never finished my interview and when i got home he had a message on my machine and said hey i know we ended uh quite abruptly and in a unique manner but i i really feel like we're supposed to hire you so i've set you up for orientation and physical blah blah blah and gave me all the instructions on the message so i followed through and got hired after i pushed the folder and interviewed him it was fun so now i'm there for two months working shining having a blast and i hear my name called and i run back the hall and i see the door and it's shut but not closed it's pushed but it's not latched so what do you do you just hold the handle nothing nothing peeked in there's bill standing at his desk trembling sweat pouring down his head he said hey i said bill are you okay he said i need to come home remember when i left the interview it's time to come home and i walked out that's what i left him with that's what god marked him with he don't need anymore my job's done i don't need to keep preaching to him i just walked out of his office bam he said he said i need to come home can you help me come home i said i started crying i said yeah i said father if he's touched anything unclean he has this beautiful shiny bald head i i wanted to touch it so bad and i got my desire i palmed it like a basketball man i said boom and i'm trusting god's going to get this man i said i said if he's touched anything unclean god if he's defiled anyway wash him in the blood of your son jesus and bill's standing there it's just in his office he goes when he crumbles to the floor and i said welps and i just snuck out i just backed out and i just let him there look like he had fleas i ran out and i'm working i'm fired up i live that way a lot my my co-workers used to say you freak us out so bad man like they said every time we see you you're talking to yourself i said i have never talked to myself ever i said i'm always talking to someone and he happens to be with me and in me i can tell you so many work testimonies why because i never went to work dreading my job never went to work complaining never ever ever once i got saved never caught a vision man life's a gift life is a gift job is a privilege work co-workers are my mission field i never i never went to work except for with joy and couldn't wait to go i would be excited on the way before i used to hate my job same job different view same people different man born again not christian confession mr mohler i'm tearing it up bud come on are you with me bill said i need to come home i'm 40 minutes out on the floor working this man taps me on the shoulder i turn around to build he's looking in the face this man is so changed he looks alive and i said hey bud welcome home and we stood there and held and hugged and cried what a day at work huh you got chris he's your head supervisor he's the main dude he's the big wheel he should be a little more professional than this but he was my biggest persecutor he would walk by the whole crew in the morning and say amen brothers hallelujah how you all doing hallelujah and walk ahead this little stride am i unborn he's just a skinny little guy my unborn again days i'd have probably just stumped him and got fired i probably would have because he would have been that attitude but i don't know how to do that i hurt for him i don't judge a book by the cover i realize he's confused he's lost he's hurt i got the greatest peace in my entire life i'm gonna go to bed and jesus is gonna minister to me and speak to me and i'm going to wake up knowing him and you think you can persecute relationship what do you think made paul tick getting stoned and beat why could he keep going because he knew him you can't persecute somebody out of knowing him oh you can persecute somebody out of their theology but not their relationship he would persecute me he would say snide cynical stuff and he had this error about him and it gave me compassion for him one day he's coming down the aisle and he saw me and he has this walk like he's the man and he comes by me and i'm like hey he says hey he said how you doing dan i said i'm good buddy how about you really good thank you as soon as he went by me holy spirit said he scammed you he ain't good i don't use the word scam but that's what he said he's from new york i use the word you say what you hear he said he just scammed you he's not good i said what he said he's in the deepest depression of his life he's suicidal he hasn't slept for months he's leaving his job going back to new york and he wants to die hey that's what i did i spun and said hey he's down the hall i said chris you're not good you scammed me he said excuse me you're not doing good you're in the worst depression of your life man you've been suicidal you haven't slept for weeks you're quitting you want to quit your job you're going to move back to new york and all you want to do is die he went huh does it show i i said no not at all i said there's a christian word we use in the faith called hypocrisy it just means a game player a man wearing a mask you're doing a great job of wearing that mask watch he got his own answer he said well then how did you know and before he got the word no out he went and realized the one he's persecuting told me oh it rocked his world no that sure beats being angry with chris or holy spirit saying you know he's in the deepest depression good he should be the idiot he always persecuted me just reaping what he sowed i'm glad you're judging him god come on church hello that mentality is here in people not here but here in the earth you don't want to know how to think that way you want to have compassion so when the man that's persecuting you you have a word in the moment because love is the excellent way and gives you details and time frames and all of a sudden you're telling him something nobody could know unless the lord showed i watched full-grown men on their forklifts break down and cry i watched co-workers in the aisle get born again in a moment because of living that way in six months at work i had a kid with purple hair avoided me like i had covet and it wasn't even on the earth back then it's pink hair or purple hair mohawk shiny straight up i don't care that's his business i ain't judging him thinking look at that boy looking for attention religion says that but wonder if they're wrong that's right religion is usually always wrong that kid avoided me like the plague i'd wear my little christian t-shirts he was like leper i'd get near him he'd go the other way he ran from me but i heard he had the flu he's coming down with symptoms he's going to leave his team's bummed out because you work as a team and you make money as a team so if you're down a man you still get judged for eight men you still get average for eight men so it's not cool if two men leave you're in trouble because you're six men and you're averaged into eight men and everybody loses money and they're all mad at you for going home they did it that way to keep people at work they were smart they put you on a team so you had accountability you had to answer to people i'm coming up the aisle i was a wholesale food selector and i'm coming up the aisle on my power jack because i see him and he's got six here four here three here two here he ain't going fast i got one here one there one around the corner two over here i got one and they call him a runner where you take a tour of the whole warehouse to get 45 pieces nobody liked them because you couldn't make time i got a runner he's stuck in place i'm like oh my goodness so i pulled up to him and i said hey man i said uh they told me you weren't feeling well that you had the flu symptoms yeah yeah and he's real nervous i said listen man you've always run from me like i got the plague or something like look you don't have to run from me man i said uh i came i want to pray for you i want to i want to pray for you and believe you're going to be no no man listen and he said a couple of things and we talked for a sentence or two and all of a sudden so random i go oh my goodness now i see why your hair is purple just style the blue and he looks at me gets so mad because he thinks i'm going to be religious and tell him some religious reason and judge his heart and now he's going to get hurt all the more and be angry all the more and be justified i said no i do he said what what about my hair why why is my hair purple you think you know why he got real mad at me because people were telling him you just need attention why are you trying to look like that people were dogging him i said i see why your hair's purple he's i said you know it hurts the heart of your mother you feel like you hate her because she bashed you with a bible your whole life and you did this because it breaks the heart of the mother and i said dude you don't even like purple it's not your color of choice [Laughter] you just know it hurts her and you should have saw that young man lose it because there ain't nobody that can know his motive but god and you're on thin ice when you're trying to reveal somebody's motive you're on thin ice of presumption and judgment see people use this thing in the phrase in the church well don't judge me well you ain't supposed to judge me they just told you in counsel they're sleeping together they've known each other for one week and you talk to them about they say well don't judge me you're not judging them they already know you're sleeping together and they told you you're not judged means to presume upon you know why we use that don't judge me thing because we want to make ourselves untouchable so nobody can correct us so we're never compelled to change so we hide behind don't judge me nobody's judging if it's already out in the open but anyway i said that to him about your mother and i said she used to say the devil saw that you're working for the devil god saw that you just broke the heart of god she quoted scripture at you and i said buddy you don't understand this your mom did the best she knew and understood because she was afraid for you she saw the path you were taking she was worried she was an insecure mama unfortunately and you've reaped the percussions of it because you didn't know how to respond but trying to break her heart and be something you're not in the process is never your answer son now you give me your hands cause i'm praying for you that's what i and he just gave me he he could he gave me three if he had him he just and i prayed for him and god froze him in the aisle frozen and forklifts are coming by they're telling us to get out of the way i had the i said hey hey he's like i said hey shook him said his name i said come on we got to move we got to keep working he said it was like a little kid he went he did this he really did this i'm not exaggerating this he said like four or five times it was hilarious he said neat neat neat he said it like four times and kept growing every time i said yeah god's really neat man i said we'll talk in the lunchroom cool man i want to talk to you man so we sat and talked and prayed and had a great time man's coming up to me in the back knocking on my i said what's up man look man i need prayer can you take me out on the back porch and just pray with me man happening all the time my trainer man can we talk i'm having so much trouble with my girlfriend and i just think you can help me all the time all the time why cause i ain't got nothing else to be but be like him and i'm nice to people and i ain't got issues and you can do me wrong and still not rub me wrong yay so my attitude's healthy and productive in the sight of people that don't know jesus and they might not understand it and they might think it's weird and they know it's different but in time they go i think it'll help my situation in time they start to realize it's consistency they've never seen consistency and except for consistently angry consistently miserable you know being happy is a high moment that we rarely attain because life is so tough most christians think life is bleep yeah life is a gift and the goal of our instruction is love so let's do this we got to do this i'm done with stories 302 we don't have a lot of time i'm going to take about 50 minutes if you let me and we'll we'll depart and you'll have time to do and the new people are here i think they'll be able to get this now more see because first timothy 1 5 says the goal of our instruction the purpose of the commandment is love so if the whole reason jesus died on the cross is so we could be transformed back into love now watch this nobody ever taught me that in my whole life from a pulpit they said the reason i'm a christian is for blessings forgiveness heaven but they never said it was to become love but the scripture says if we don't have love we have nothing and the goal of our destruction is love and if jesus loved us this way ought we lo not love one another and if a man's perfected in love he has no cause for stumbling because of his brother there's countless scriptures on love he said the first commandment he said or a new commandment i give unto you a new commandment and then he says however it's not a new commandment it's the one you had from the beginning in the beginning let us make man for our image in the beginning we were made to love god is love he doesn't do love he is love it's a commandment you had from the beginning it's the reason you're on the earth i'm not giving you a new commandment i'm just restoring what always was you get it yeah oh so good to me but see if you miss love you miss the whole point and if you miss love you'll never walk in freedom because if you don't have love you have self [Music] come on i'm just being straight there's no love and selfishness and there's no selfishness in love nothing doesn't give you permission to grow you're not being judged what i'm saying is love is void of selfishness selfishness can never be love is that fair so let's grow up into him in all things and that's challenging areas that don't look like love and let's become love because the goal of our instruction is the whole point you get it yeah wow just gotta love the gospel i opened up my bible the first morning i was saved people just fight over all kinds of stuff baptism holy spirit other tongues of the devil for today not for today ah debates over theology and we prove we don't know jesus because our hearts get so mad at each other i woke up in the morning in my bed praying in tongues profusely crying overwhelmingly and the spirit of the lord all over me you say well that was probably a lying spirit that was probably a religious devil getting you into deception okay it was confronting my definition of manhood my sexuality and causing me to repent of lifelong things yeah probably the devil oh man and i open my bible pastor and i have it clinging to my chest i'm holding i'm crying it's a dramatic emotional experience i admit it was super emotional some people are afraid of emotion who knows emotion can be channeled through truth and emotion can be channeled through lies people say well god gave us emotions brother no god did not give you the emotions you grew up with adam gave you them and every one of them were hinged on self-centeredness nobody had to teach you to be angry you didn't have to study to be proud you didn't have to take a course to master insecurity or self-consciousness it came with the package called the fall of man and all your emotional expression came out of the motive of your life and god said through jesus in matthew if anyone come after me let him first deny themselves why biggest problem on the planet because it's the opposite of love remember i said the parallels of the cross he was forsaken so we could be always accepted and he was god left and parted for jesus we could be forever joined he died so we forever live remember let's do the parallels do you know what else happened to jesus on the cross there's all kinds of things there's the the seven sheddings of the blood of jesus and all kinds of good teachings out there but you know what it's my personal favorite he was marred more than any of the sons of men his visage was so disfigured and destroyed that when you looked at him there was no way you could tell it was him marr it's scripture more than has men done barbaric things to men has men done sadistic things to men you burn a man in oil you drag him behind a horse for four or five miles like they used to and you tell me you can recognize him when they're done you burn someone on a stake when the fire goes out you tell me you can tell hey isn't that fred he was marred more than anyone was ever marred by men that means when they were done with him there is no way you could tell who he was he completely lost recognition or any way to identify him why why couldn't he just take 39 stripes and some stakes in the hands and feet why couldn't he just shed his blood for the remission why do you have to get beat beyond description and lose his appearance because when sin got done with adam in the garden he didn't look anything like he was created to be he lost his appearance and the image got so perverted that he didn't look like adam anymore because he didn't look like his father anymore so jesus lost his appearance to pay the price for you and me to get the identity back that we were created for and he fulfilled what man failed so we could receive back what it was we were intended to be glory to his name you get it he did that for us we have a hard time with inconvenience we're on the way to church and get a call from somebody that tends to be burdensome and why didn't they call 10 minutes ago when we went past their house now i'm three blocks from church and i got to go back four miles to pick them up and i'm inconvenienced and i do it because it's the christian thing but i do it murmuring with disdain when they get in the car i say hey come on we were wrong the whole time he was right the whole time and he died as if he was wrong so we could stand and be found right i am not going to be inconvenienced i'm not going to complain i'm not going to say he said she said i'm not going to deal with unforgiveness i'm just not going to have it why because he forgave me of everything i've ever done and he's made me clean who am i yea god who am i to not forgive you of whatever you did when he forgave me of everything i did matthew 18 calls it an evil and wicked servant oh he says they're a servant but he says they're evil and wicked in their heart and intentions because they weren't forgiven of all their debt but don't want to relieve men of their debt they want to be recipients of mercy but don't want to become merciful and all of a sudden they miss the whole point in self-centered deception whatever they get from god so they become that in god so man can see who he is through their lives you get it can i be straight we as the church shouldn't even wrestle with unforgiveness it shouldn't even be a challenge if we truly understood or completely forgiven [Music] i asked the lord why do people struggle with unforgiveness he said they don't accept and realize how free and forgiven they are that i never see them for what they did they see themselves for what they did and because they identify through what they did they keep doing what they did but i don't see it at all i see them through my son and if they'd accept the true forgiveness and the liberty that comes through being clean in my presence they would never be an unforgiveness towards a human being because forgiveness is so powerful and it brings salvation so if you're having struggles with anger and unforgiveness you're probably getting your eyes off how forgiving you are and self-righteousness can creep in and deception and pride and all of a sudden you're holding men to a standard to god never held you by see if you take the way you're thinking towards others and you can't translate it into god's mouth and make it work then you ought to change how you're thinking if you can't take your language and put it in jesus mouth and make it fit you get it i do those little analogies in my head all the time like i'll picture jesus just sitting on the mount of olives is it okay if i oh wow okay i didn't know if these were some kind of sanctified corner posts or something i thought i didn't know the heritage here i thought i might be sitting on something holy i'm sorry i'm just having fun it's okay to laugh in church and have fun see because you know why we do those little outbursts and laughs because it's laughing gas it's like in the surgery you don't know you're being cut so you're like being cut and your heart's being it's just totally circumcised and you don't even realize your chest's wide open and you're like hey are you bleeding that's what's happening so the silver we get the sharper the knife that's coming no i'm just kidding i'm just kidding could you picture jesus sitting on the mount of olives you know he doesn't sleep much it doesn't sound like in the bible he's praying all night he's just having a time could you see jesus just hanging out and peter wakes up he's the first to wake up he crawls up out of his little thing and he sees jesus over and he says well i wonder what's wrong with the lord jesus just kind of sitting there bummed lord what's the matter with you you don't look like you usually do are you okay nah i'm fine peter just thinking just thinking thinking about what well just the people look don't press me okay just i'm just working through some stuff i just i need my space and i really don't need you peter in my face too much okay certainly don't try to correct me or teach me all right uh i'm just i don't even know if you understand this i don't i mean i'm trying to help people i'm healing the sick it just gets tiring man they keep criticizing persecuting condemning i mean god lets me hear their thoughts i wish he didn't they're pretty hard to handle like you know i'm over in capernaum they don't appreciate it you know these towns aren't repenting they fed their belly the whole reason they came across the water and found us is because they wanted another meal they could care less about what i'm saying and i just feel used man i feel unappreciated i feel like i'm going to this extreme i mean you understand i'm god in the flesh right you said i was the christ yourself so you understand that i chose to become a man and come through the womb of a woman like i demeaned myself so much i sat in her belly for nine months in a bag of water i sat in a bag of water like you and and i'm god so it's just ridiculous you think people appreciate that after a while or think about it instead of criticizing it i just don't know where i'm at right now i'm in a little turmoil i need my space but i don't think i'm going out to face the masses today i'm not in the mood [Laughter] doesn't that sound ludicrous to put that in jesus's mouth could he ever even talk that way we don't know him that way but why is it okay when that's in our mouth and we're made for his image and as he is so are we in this world the representative of christ why is it permissible because we're humans wonderful sons why aren't we convicted when we think that way because it's been our training because we were homeschooled in the wrong home i wonder if we were trained by a lie or if we were born into adam wonder if we were born into the fall of man and you must be born again and that attitude right there isn't in the kingdom and go preach saying the kingdom of god is here just take a look at my life you see how nailed i have you all there ain't no way out of this you just have to say i don't want this or wow i'll take this i prayed a long time ago to the lord you don't realize how set up you are when you asked me to come i prayed a long time ago to the lord i said if you're going to let me i have the honor of going to these places and people are going to sit in front of me and come back session after session and open their hearts and listen i said then you have to give me the ability to communicate that when i'm finished a man only has two choices he says man i hear what you're saying and i want that or i hear what you're saying i just don't want it but please god don't let him leave saying what's he trying to say [Music] but i don't ever get that people what's he trying to say i don't ever get that people don't say man you're confusing you talk in circles they say dude there's no way to not hear what you're saying kids understand what you're saying my little granddaughter was eight listening to grandpa preach and she leaned over to my wife her grammy and she said man grammy my friends need to hear grandpa [Music] eight years old i told these guys i was in a service up north preached for three hours and six minutes straight you see how gentle i am with you you don't even know how that's possible but if you were in the room it did seem like 40 minutes and i looked at the clock and i freaked out i said what i said it was going on eleven twenty of eleven i said is that that time and everybody said time what and then it was like this rumble in the room because nobody knew it was that time i said man i to stop a seven-year-old girl leaped to her feet and said no dramatically no wow i said no i said honey i've been preaching for hours man with a cell phone three hours and six minutes i got it recorded i said thank you sir i said honey i've been preaching three hours and six minutes how old are you she said i'm seven i said you're seven years old leap into your feet in distress saying no and i preached three hours in six minutes you should be pulling on your mom's arm saying is this man ever going to stop so we can go home she said oh no sir i get so much out of what you say that's a seven-year-old don't tell me that people are leaving going what's he trying to say no wouldn't the love of god want to make it so accountable in your heart that you absolutely hear what's being said and you have to choose if you want it or don't and that locates you wouldn't the love of god convict all men and give every man a chance to walk in truth i prayed for that in my life a long time ago and i feel like he's graciously given me that i feel like i can get in a room of of grade school kids well i've done it i've preached all day in christian schools and had a blast and you watch kids cry because they're convicted and holy spirit comes and they understand not fun so you would never picture jesus on that rock bombed out would you so i guess if we're following him we should never be on that rock bombed out so i guess if our motive is his motive and our perspective is his perspective and we allow who he is to be one with us i bet that will empower us to live different i bet if we keep studying and show ourself approved and stay in prayer and stay in this place of exchange i bet your grace will make us what our hearts are crying out to be would you agree i got time why don't we read colossians 3. buckle up because we're going there for sure we're not we're not skating anymore around it since you were raised with christ okay since you were that means when he died you died when he rose euros like god paid a price to redeem men's lives you still have to repent you have to believe on him there's people out there teaching everybody's saved everybody's okay and that even repentance is works they're wrong that's not scriptural the kingdom of god is at hand repent the kingdom of god a man has to change his heart you have to say oh my goodness i've been driving the car and it's your car to drive wow i've been self-centered and self-seeking in my life oh my goodness i need to deny myself wow lord i've been really compromising and living on some ends in the flesh and some man's pursuing the spirit but i'm all in i'm surrendered there's always a place for repentance for salvation i'm telling you there's a lot of folks out there teaching that everything's okay don't even talk about sin because we're always gonna and god understands that's why he shed the blood yeah i was preaching on being free from sin and i was preaching on the peril sin in this one service and a young man raised his hand over on the side and he raised his hand and i said what's up bud you have a comment a question he said comment man he said you need to understand christ you need a revelation of christ and i was the guest speaker and i said well that's interesting phrase what explain to me what you mean so i can respond because i'm not sure well you don't understand christ you need to understand christ you're talking about sin why are you talking about sin if you understood christ you wouldn't even mention sin and i'm like i still don't know that i'm following you son try to help me say a little more and i'll see if i can and he said a couple more things i said i got it i got it what you're saying is we're always sinning we're always going to sin god knows our dilemma we're just sin is our resume so he's so good that he sent his son to cover everything we're doing so we're going to keep sinning so don't really worry about that just be glad he sent his son and one day we'll rejoice through the blood and be happily ever after he said exactly i said can you all turn to romans 6 with me please and we turn to romans 6 how shall we who died to sin live in it any longer or do you not know it's powerful as many as you were baptized into his death and it is powerful and i got that one line out how shall we who died to sin live in it any longer or should we continue it says should we continue in sin so grace abound certainly not for how shall we who died to sin live in it any longer and he stood up and he said i'll not live under this legalism how not and he started screaming and he took off out the church the church was already really small i felt bad pastor and his wife started weeping i said sorry man i didn't mean to run somebody out it ain't how many folks begin with this little girl got up and started chasing him she's crying i said honey i don't know your interest in running out there and your interest in that man is a young lady but it doesn't feel healthy to me i wish you'd reconsider before you go out the door she began to cry and ran back to her seat that's that's the kind of pastor i have i'm aggressive she doesn't listen she doesn't listen i'll just give her the chance you get it she ran back and sat down pastor told me they just had counsel with him he's a regular marijuana smoker has a living girlfriend and spends 90 percent of his free time in the bar and he's trying to bring that theology into the church that hey it's all good because jesus shed his blood no sanctification no coming out from among them no new life through jesus christ no walking in the light it's he's in the light forget all those scriptures they don't mean nothing they're all legalism okay then why did holy spirit write them through several many men so it's just a cop out it's cop out so since we've been raised with christ what are we going to do we're going to seek those things which are above where christ is sitting at the right hand of god verse 2 because he knows where our minds tend to go he's telling you listen set your mind that's you that's you doing this set your mind on the things above not the things of the earth what's that mean this little illustration acting out jesus on the mount of olives bombed out that's setting your mind on things above that's that's realizing hey jesus would never have that attitude that attitude's never permissible in me jesus didn't teach me that he's the good teacher you have one teacher he's the christ so if i didn't learn it through him i never learned it at all didn't jesus say you have one teacher he's the christ call no man your teacher you have one teacher he's the christ that doesn't mean we don't have teachers in the body of christ or the office of teaching but we're supposed to be teaching christ right but it all came from him so the source of all teaching is christ when it's in the realm of truth he says call no man on earth your does that mean you're sinning on father's day when you send off the card he says call no man on earth your father matthew 23 9. call no man on earth your father you have one father he's in heaven what's he saying don't limit identify and regulate your life through natural means and biological means your purpose your existence your roots go back to the beginning where the father said let us make man call no man on earth your father you have one father the word father there means to come forth from you think you came forth from this man but you really came forth from him call no man on earth your father you know how many people took a hit in their identity because of their heritage and their roots they're put up for adoption and they think they don't have value and people couldn't love them because they were unlovable and they don't even think that the people didn't have the capacity or we have weakness or overwhelmed or caught up in drugs and then they take the personal hit on their identity because their parent didn't want them why is that a reflection on the child why isn't that a reflection on the moment of the parent that doesn't mean we're condemning the parent but we're sure rescuing the image of the child you see what i mean and i know people they're like you know whoa i mean she didn't even want me man you didn't even want me man i can't have value if my own mom couldn't love me what are you talking about like i will try to belittle that comment not you i will make that sound foolish if i'm counseling you in a private setting i won't hurt you or get offended nobody's ever punched me in the mouth and said they were insulted by the way i handled it but i will make their beliefs sound foolish so they'll never believe it again i'll be like are you kidding me well what about her what if she was why would you what a lie from hell you're just going to buy in and bite the bait and let your years get trashed and let the weakness of your mom or the incapacity for you to see your value you're going to let that ride you through for the next 40 years god forbid what that's messed up it happens to people yeah they think as they were put up for adoption they're not worth anything they think nobody wanted me yeah jesus been willing you the whole time god's been drawing your heart he wants you for keeps man that should matter more i'm telling you this self-centered thing okay let me wrap this up i got to get done you're going to set your mind on the things above not the things of the earth uh oh you see you didn't die you didn't pay a price to go to heaven you died you you didn't like uh pray a prayer to go to heaven he didn't pay a price to take you to heaven alone he wants you to die if you don't die there's no new life right look for you died you didn't pray a prayer of salvation you die that's the point that's why you get water baptized it's symbolic death burial resurrection and if you die in the likeness of his death even as jesus was raised by the glory of the father so shall you be raised in the newness of life death life when you lead people to the lord right you should lead them to death to life you should take them to water as soon as possible if you're just trying to get a street corner conversion you'll know if they're serious if you talk about a water baptism and try to get them to water somebody in my early days i would have prayed the prayer with you made you feel good and got scot-free and walked down the street and you thought you had a convert and i'd have been laughing at you really i was the one in big trouble but if you'd asked me to go get baptized i would have never went with you i said no man look i don't have time for that but look i'm glad you shared that with me man i believe you gave me a track i'd have said oh man i'm already a christian out but i'll take it i'll hand it to somebody on the way to my car thanks for caring i threw it in the corner in the street on my way out to the car because it was just all the same message pray this prayer go to heaven pray this prayer go to heaven pray this prayer go to heaven no you're going to die to everything you've ever been so everything he is can come alive in you you're going to get buried with him in baptism into his death what's that verse 10 of 6 romans 6 the death he died he died to sin once for all the life he lives he lives unto god verse 11 likewise you reckon yourselves dead indeed unto sin and alive unto god in christ jesus you see how he connects it he did this you do this he makes us one all the time through scripture and yet the church says well yeah but brother we're always going to sin you're never free from sin i mean everybody's sinning you're trying to say you ain't sinning you're probably sinning right now man in fact you're sinning by saying you're not sinning man oh i've been around us how's that wrecking yourself dead to sin boasting in your ability to commit it and calling that humility it's false humility it's actually bearing witness that you don't understand the finished work or scripture yeah how's that for straight it's just true are we okay you died your life is hidden with christ in god watches when christ who is your life this sounds pretty one when christ who is now your life appears oh you're gonna appear with him in glory i actually have confidence in that in my heart like if it's otherwise i'd have to know that from the lord right i just believe we're doing well and i'm going to be with him and yay on that day and people are saying i don't know but but he says we're going to appear with him in glory you know the bible says men will be in awe and give glory to god's sake for for you when they see you with them oh my goodness because they criticized and they burst again i had a lady the other day on the phone struggling with her identity and she said you must you might be the most sincere incredible christian i've ever met and she said you are you're going to be one of them that are sitting like right on the lap of jesus for all time i said i don't know honey i'll probably go to sit down and your legs will already be in the way because that's where he paid for you to sit and she's on the phone probably won't be able to get that close because you already be there she doesn't think she can sit there he paid for her to sit there you get it so we get into works and you must be the best christian i understand some of what she's saying but she's thinking okay i'm gonna have his favorite spot because i no i think you'll be able to sit right where i said she got touched by it it was fun okay so christ he's our life when he appears we're going to appear with him in glory therefore because this is true that's what therefore means in light of what i just said so when you're a bible teacher here please don't jump into the therefore and start teaching you always have to make sure that people know what it's there for that's not a joke that's serious that's what it's there for therefore in light of what was just said so if you don't go back to what was just said and catch it in the context you can misinterpret the therefore so i don't ever teach starting at a therefore i always back up and catch thee therefore you get it yes okay so therefore because this is true put to death did he say manage and find self-control or did he say kill oh i love it anger management brother anger management for the christian is hypocrisy i see my buddy mike back there i met mike yesterday hi buddy so it's me and mike getting to know each other meeting each other and all of a sudden mike does something it rubs me wrong and i don't deal with it and i'm like man and also a nice stereotype mic and the more i think about it you know what mike just bugs me now but i'm a christian and he's pretty nice on the outside but the thing that i see he just bugs me about this now it's all i can see i'm wondering why everybody else can't see it but he comes to church and he says hey dan and i say hey mike and he has no idea i'm angry at him why because you say i'm managing my anger no it's total hypocrisy the bible doesn't say manage your anger it says put it off which means it's never catch this which means it's never permissible that means it was never from the beginning so that means anger comes from men violating your own space and the self-centered motive of our life gets crossed ain't that something i wonder if you came to god who here put off the lord fought convictions put off the lord fought convictions and then finally surrendered anybody okay that's plenty of hands for an appointment here to be proven how many of you that raised your hands you came to lord on that day and you broke and repented and finally threw in the towel and he said oh now you're coming would have been nice if you came back when i wooed you first in fact six months ago i gave you about the best opportunity i've ever given you i was ready to not even give you another one i was gonna say now or never but i found it in the goodness of my heart to give you another chance but you know what in the last six weeks or months you cause a lot of hell and a lot of unnecessary pain and you know what i'm just not sure i'm buying your tears right now and i'm just not sure how i feel about you anymore because when i gave you the real chance you didn't want to come and all of a sudden you're so sorry i'll tell you what i have a meeting with the 24 hours i'll get back to you tomorrow anybody have that experience with jesus or he just scoop you up and forgive you and love you and give you hope and a future what a father huh oh what a god yeah so why can't we be like that well you burp my you broke my heart you hurt my feelings i don't know if i can ever trust again people in ministry teach to put up boundaries so you don't get hurt and don't commit yourself to people that are going to do you wrong because then you'll get crushed and trashed i am stepping on toes because those boundaries that you're talking about they're superficial they're self-centered why are you so touchable and vulnerable if you're saying i'm vulnerable to be hurt now you're putting up your own force fields then he's never your rock in your defense he's your rock in your defense he's your force field the truth in him protects you he's your rear guard nobody can sneak up on you he has you covered all the way around you think i'm going to put walls up and not let you too close you tell me jesus lived like that now i understand guarding some family time in ministry and not letting people always and learning when not to get on the phone and learning when to say no i get that but guarding yourself from people so they don't hurt you i'm wondering why you're so hurtable jesus surrounded himself with 12 men one betrayed him and he was still chosen and there all the rest ran on crunch time when the shepherd was struck the sheep all scattered they all said they wouldn't but they did when jesus rose from the dead go tell my brother not my backstabbing come on that says it all i just i'm just giving you some encouragement i'm going to personally follow him and i'm asking you to join me and let's be this army that he's raising up in this last day that doesn't just sing to him but loves like he loves that doesn't just learn how to do better church but we actually are her and we forgive and we show mercy and we make peace because blessed are the peacemakers because they are the sons of god amen amen see i have come to you and i preached scripture after scripture after scripture i have not made comments without scripture after scripture after scripture that's why i'm so confident in my speech i gotta finish colossians therefore we're going to what put to death your members which are on the earth this is tough to preach out in this amount of time but i'm going to try it the first work of the flesh on every list in your bible thessalonians 2 corinthians galatians that's a few of the lists of the flesh every place they're listed the first thing on the list is always sexuality the first one always is sexuality why because there's not one topic in your life in my life that's been more exploited than sexuality because it works with sensuality and emotions and you never counterfeit one dollar bills so the thing that's the most valuable and has the deepest highest value of truth there satan perverts to get your eyes so far from it that you never walk in the glory of it but you walk in the compromising counterfeit there's not one area in life that's focused on and exploited more than sexuality it's in every commercial they they got women with slit open dresses and fans blow in and hair for insurance there's people that'll teach god gave us our sexuality and made us to want women and women to comply he did not let me make this real clear he did not create what we grew up with and he did not create what most christian marriages experience because usually we take the world and tie christian terms around it every christian book on sexuality is the world with christian camouflage and phrases there is zero selfishness involved in sexuality there's total covenant it's a total giving of yourself for the sake of another period and in that place you find his presence in that place he's there it's ridiculous i've tasted it i know what it is now and i can't even fathom that i used to live here why because he counterfeited what was always there so i could never see it because this had me so captured and mesmerized the first thing on every list is sexuality that should speak loud to all of us that one of the biggest lies and works of the flesh is our sexual conduct and he's saying kill it as you know it he's not saying kill it he's saying kill it as you know it is that good is that fair yeah i'll leave it at that but his first on every list and he didn't say manage it he didn't say control it he didn't say young man find some self-control there guys we're all going to feel what we feel and we all know women are hot but you got to control it dude that ain't what he's teaching he's saying put to death fornication passions and evil desires fornication is any sexual activity whatsoever outside of the covenant of marriage you hear me yeah there's no arena in our lives that is driven more by self than that arena a woman that has integrity that made covenant vows to god gets hurt emotional and vulnerable and she'll fall into that thing just to feel loved for a moment and then the horror of where she's been hits her and tries to condemn her and destroy her because it's not who she is i've seen it i've pastored it it's bizarre how it works it's bizarre how it works it's women you get to know that would never be in that arena and all of a sudden they're there and they're confessing and they're crying and they don't even want to think of and live with them something because they feel like they violated something but it was a moment of vulnerability and it worked with sensuality and they were vulnerable and they were getting her identity through and the man left them and i've watched the lady her husband of all these years boom and she's 50 and a little over and now this guy's saying and all of a sudden she's booming she's only ever been with her husband in her whole life and all of a sudden she's with another man for for a moment just a moment and haro hit her she grabbed her things and ran grabbed her things and ran but it was too late she already had an incurable sexually transmitted disease one sexual sin in her whole 52 years of life in a moment of vulnerability and there ain't no mercy out there in darkness and that snake bit her for keeps one minute of crossing the line coming to herself pushing away grabbing her things can you imagine the horror of that night and her crying at night all night long crying feeling like she so violated everything she's left for feeling dirty feeling cheap feeling all that stuff but in the moment she had so much need that had permitted her to be there now that she's there being there's trying to destroy her you see it's a crazy emotionally driven whirlwind and he said you put it to death because there's never life there i'm gonna show you and then that's a great question she said how do you put it to death and then she gets diagnosed with a transmitted sexual disease that's incurable and the doctor said it's going to affect her organs and cut her years short and i watched jesus heal her completely because she told me the story and i cried with her and i held her little chin and she kept saying i'm not that kind of girl [Music] it broke my heart and i said honey i don't need to know nothing look i'm just gonna pray for you no and she whispered the whole story to me i said that's coming out of you and boom i saw her six weeks later six weeks she come running to me she said pastor pastor guess what i said what she said i got a test it's not there at all it's not there at all they can't find a trace of it i said do you know why she said yes because god is loving and merciful and kind and who knows she's right and i said well you're right but all those things you claim him to be need a place to land let me tell you why you're negative in those test results i took her little chin and i said because you're not that kind of girl because as soon as there's repentance there's vindication and the mercy of god triumphs over judgment and if god won't judge you for where you've been then why is where you've been judging you you get it we're gonna probably have to finish this later it's so much no you don't understand i'm in verse five and i'm trying to get through 13. lord put to death your members which are on the earth fornication and clean this passion evil desire coveness it's all idolatry it's making something matter more than what matters most that's idolatry because of these things the wrath of god is coming upon the sons of disobedience that means those that continue to disobey don't follow convictions or don't want convictions whatever those that disobey there's there's judgment coming to those who who die in disobedience all right watch here's where you don't get self-righteous and stay humble towards those functioning in disobedience and indignant you don't get indignant because you yourself and me all walked in this list when we lived in them you get it okay now watch but now you yourselves are to put off these things it's not an order call it's not a spirit of anger you don't need deliverance you need to understand your life's not your own and you're not here to live for yourself she said how do i put off these things here's how you put it off you get alone in prayer and you understand the purpose of god the purpose of the cross and the real truth about your life and you say wow god you made me wanting for nothing you didn't create me to crave for sexual this and fantasy and pleasure and you didn't put anybody in the earth to scratch my itch or meet my need you put me on the earth to love the world around me in holiness and in righteousness and god i renounce every work of the flesh in every way i was taught before i knew you and i thank you your way is righteous and true and in me and holy spirit i yield to you and whatever makes sense to you and whatever you have to put off and whatever you see has been a real struggle or a thing that's touched you put it off in prayer you put it off in prayer that's taken off that thing we talked about that doesn't fit you and you get alone and you say my life is not my own and god nobody owes me a thing and next thing you know you're down on your knees in your bedroom and you're weeping and the spirit of god is there and you're putting faith in the truth and grace is coming and saving you through faith and all of a sudden everything you believe is becoming your reality why because you are what you are by the grace of god are you following me you say father nobody owes me a thing man i've had a short fuse all my life people have called me a short fused guy they've known me for having a short fuse or a short wick god i've had outbursts and anger and wrath those days are over i renounce them watch this you never made me that way from the beginning you start acknowledging that you never made me to covet a woman to lust a woman to just need a woman for pleasure god you made me to love a woman called my wife and lay down my life and give myself to her so she sees your love through me god i thank you for doing this in me i have no desire for any other thing no desire for the flesh and you're saying all this in prayer you're putting off this list whatever that means to you you're putting off this list you get it you're not trying not to be angry you're separating yourself from the root of anger in prayer realizing i was never made for me men can't push me and move me wrong i'm seeing them for who they're created to be i'm not judging men according to the flesh god i thank you that you're raising me up to know you and to become love and see men through your eyes father i thank you for the transformation now you say brother i don't know how to pray that way listen i've been preaching and praying this way for a long time you don't have to sound like me you don't have to repeat those words you just have to be sincere and say what it means to you are you hearing me but that's how you put it off and that's how you take off the things that were never made to fit you and you put off wrath and malice and blasphemy and filthy watch this you don't lie to one another why because you put off the old man and his deeds how do i put all these things off without running the risk of getting into works and failing i do it in prayer by simple faith and recognize god never made me this way i was homeschooled in the wrong home i was trained by a lie my feelings were accepted as normal but my motives were twisted god you give me a brand new makeup of emotion and expression cause you change where i live from you get it watch this in the simple truth that i'm on the earth to love and to walk in his image and that no man owes me a thing anger swallowed up in that it's never my reaction i don't even know how to react that way anymore for years you can call me a liar you can say i'm deceived that's your business you'll just find out someday that you weren't willing to listen and i was right and you were comparing yourself to me because i'm either lying and i'm a twisted basket case or i don't react in anger and i either need your temporal impressed and me go because you say oh that's awesome or i'm just telling you the wrong truth it's never my reaction why because i renounced it in prayer because i took away the motive that allowed me to be angry so you yourself put it off if you're outbursting in anger towards people how can you tell me that's not self-centered and if god ain't bursting out in anger for you against you every time you're not right why are you bursting out of anger towards others if they're not right see this all clicks to me so i get alone in the bedroom and i pray the stuff when you're not looking so that when i'm around you i can see the best in you and your value that's why i flew here i told you that earlier i flew here because i wanted to didn't fly here for an honorarium i didn't fly here for any other reason then i believe what i'm preaching and i wanted to share it with you that's the only reason i'm here yay and whether you receive it or whether you don't i got to deposit it i sure sowed seeds and i understand seeds and i'm a farmer kind of guy anyway and if you he's renewed the new man he's renewed in knowledge according to the image of him who created him what the bible saying is the whole reason for the cross is the restoration of the image oh yeah so you say what's your gifting in the body brother you have some apostolic in you people are always trying to figure me out i said just call me an image consultant i'm an image consultant in the body of christ it feels good to me you say well i can't find that brother that's blasphemy that's heresy you must be a false teacher you're using a phrase that ain't in the word okay you figure it out i'm going to state free because the whole time you're trying to figure it out you ain't loving on nobody i promise you're frustrated and mad in writing articles oops oops sorry backtrack whoa [Laughter] and while you're writing the article of my heresy i'm on the airplane in the person's crying and they can walk when we get off the flight and then all you can say is that's either the devil or i'm lying ah you ought to be careful you ought to be careful they killed jesus for being right they killed him for being right and it was people that thought they knew people with authority maybe took the authority in their own hands maybe assumed the authority needed the authority is what jesus exposed wow who's this new man he's renewed in knowledge according to or in agreement with the very image of the one who created him so now in verse 12 he's going to reveal the image just like in verse 5 through 8 or 9 he revealed the old man you know how we had the list of the flesh that we put off now we put on the new man look at verse 12 here's the new man here's how you know it's the new man because it's the same words watch therefore as the elect of god holy and beloved put on so when he says put on now you know he's defining put on the new man who's renewed knowledge according to the image so now he's defining the image just like he defined the flesh so now we know what we're putting on so you ask the question how do i put off in prayer how do i put on in prayer you make the exchange and you don't have to do it all the time you just do it when it's on your heart you do that thing if weakness creeps up on you and you find yourself with an attitude and you catch yourself in it don't condemn yourself and say there i go again i should know better by now man i don't know what's wrong with my heart sometimes i say my heart's pure but my heart can't be pure because my heart was pure i wouldn't even been doing that i even wonder if i'm even safe you ever see anybody go that crazy with it no no as soon as you catch it you ought to rejoice and say oh my goodness father thank you for the truth that's working in my life that's exposing these lies man i lived my whole life living in these things and i didn't even see it now i see it you're doing such a work of me i'm such a conviction i so appreciate the way you're changing me and the way you're molding my life to agree with who you are god thank you for the work of your spirit i welcome you god and you don't lose a step and you know him more and you love him more and you're wiser and you're sharper why because you're never condemned you're never guilty and you're never ashamed because your heart's sincere and you're coming after him come on that's his good awesome yay preaching okay we're gonna put on what are we gonna put on we're gonna close with this i'm sorry i'm a little late we're gonna put on tender mercies kindness humility meekness long isn't it funny that this whole list is things that everybody feels like they would have to work at because it hasn't been us that's because we were born into perversion and now god set it straight so it's not something you're working at it's something you're putting on through belief and you're saying this is my desire and this is who i'm gonna be please don't go to god and pray like for your heart from this place where you're so far away god if you don't do something with my old wicked wretched heart i don't know what i'm gonna do god here right here it is come on what do i need to do cut it out for you you need to open up my chest and take out my heart and put a new one in god don't pray like that you go in your bedroom and say father i so thank you for healthy conviction and truth and the work you're doing in my heart god i so appreciate that your heart is one with my heart that my heart begins to see the things that have always been there in you and i just thank you for the grace that's working in my life don't go to god troubleshooting and problem conscious go to god with the answer on your lips and proclaim the work he's doing in your life by the spirit so that when you come out of your bedroom you have faith wrapped around encouragement and hope rather than walking out waiting for the magical moment where god blasts you come on countless sincere people go into the room and pray they wouldn't go in the room pray if they weren't sincere but they go in and misappropriate faith and prayer and all they do is pray from the problem pray from the problem pray from the problem when they come out they're only conscious of the problem and until they experience or feel changed they don't believe change so they're always a step behind and always trying to make up for lost time but if you go into the prayer closet and you just say are you just driving to work in your car you don't have to be alone in the closet you're driving and working hard father i said thank you your eyes are in me i so thank you that your ways have become evident in my heart my life god i thank you today it's going to be so fun to live life in the spirit holy spirit i welcome you thank you for looking at men through my eyes so that i can see what you've always seen i so appreciate us being one you're just driving to work somebody pulls out in front of you praise ye the lord hallelujah [Laughter] somebody cuts you off jesus bless them lord we'll just be a few minutes late but above all these things that are so powerful and life-changing and important above all these things put on love why because it's the bond of perfection the goal of our instruction is love and we fail to become love we fail to walk in what he paid for and all of a sudden the cross is his theology to us instead of a life change you all good with that okay so here's the thing can we live this way can the just live by are you saved by grace through so don't let anything steal your faith in this matter don't let life speak louder than truth don't let's pass practice don't let men's experience don't let men's resume use earthly wisdom to talk you out of where we're heading emotion counterproductive emotion don't let that stuff talk don't just live for an experience live for truth [Music] yeah the only way those knowings come in your life is time spent with him the greatest privilege in your life is being with him and there is nothing that surpasses the beauty of god giving us the right to be with him your life has changed when you're with him yeah and that's communing loving appreciating honoring fellowshipping exchanging putting off putting on it's impossible to spend time in that place in that way and walk out of the door and not see clear who you're created to be and all of a sudden your life starts responding through truth and you're not trying to apply scripture along the way the lord said dan i don't ever want you to live crossroads christianity i said i don't think i ever heard that sermon he said it's where you're trying to apply the truth where there's a crossroads in front of you like oh i shouldn't be angry now and then i apply scripture he said i don't want you to see the crossroad i want you to become true so there's no crossroad and i just want you to live your life in me where you don't have the options of a crossroad where i don't have to get in a jam and then back up and apply the last thing i heard pastor dan armstrong share who knows at least if you're doing that you're heading somewhere but what god's saying is i don't want you living there i want you becoming the truth not trying to do the truth become the truth don't try to do the truth become love don't try to do love you get it does that make sense all right why don't you stand to your feet please we're going to pray and i don't do a lot of ministry stuff we don't do a lot of praying for people in these teaching sessions they so feel like grace to teach if you can tell i've just been a teaching teaching teaching it just feels good to me last night was fun at the end we prayed for each other but i am going to pray something over your bodies today if you can't come back tonight i am going to believe something and step out and just believe something so if you have ailments and aches and pains and things that are hindering your life i'm believing god's going to touch that area and do something so be positioned for that and just say thank you for that okay yeah i'm just going to take the initiative to do that from up front and i'm going to do it in a timely quick manner and i'll get you all out of here so father i just thank you would you if you don't mind if you know what it means you don't have to do this i'm not going to open my eyes and see who is and isn't but if you know what it means to just lift your hands it's so liberating to me like you lift your hands it's just a sign of yielding surrender submission honoring him it's a beautiful thing i i love the whole lifting your hands to the lord if you would if you want to if you understand what it means lift your hands to the lord with me as a sign of just yielding and surrender and saying yes to the things you're hearing like god i am so all in and i thank you for the grace that's in my life to walk out these truths because i sure want to right so father with hands raised in humility here in front of you lord i thank you your spirit is working mightily and effectually and god i thank you you're growing us into the army that you're raising up in this earth that walks in love and doesn't know oh way but the way god are people of no compromise of people that have the strength of heart and emotion like they've never experienced i pray that this weekend is so much more than an event you raised this man up over here and his family and wife to be here and you have preached through him a whole lot of this stuff and you've invested into this house identity and truth and clarity and i thank you have a mouth of two or more every word is confirmed and established so i thank you through this weekend all you're doing is clarifying and cementing the things that have been shared in this house and i thank you lord god you're adding to it and you're perfecting it and it's being established i declare and prophesy if you will that these truths will be our expression our actions and our life and god i believe you're doing a work that won't stop for what you started you surely will complete and i just release that faith over this house and i thank you for the grace that empowers now father everybody every person every everything that's weakness infirmity or sickness lord i just ask you holy spirit to go right up through these aisles and touch every person touch everybody make everything strong god make everything stronger that was weak if there's degeneration god i ask you to make things strong and regenerate and increase god i ask you lord god to continue to work in those that you've been working in holy spirit come and bring healing to this room lord where there's sleep disorders i thank you god they'll be amazing sleep tonight where there's pains that come in the body from laying i thank you tonight they'll come no more i thank you that not one person in this room will have to find a comfortable spot however they lay will work fine i declare that over this room i just heard that that discomfort in the sleep is going to be a race tonight you're going to sleep in his presence fine i just thank you for solecal abilities and and soul equal soundness mental capacity being touched and empowered by god i thank you nothing's foggy i don't know who you are you feel like you've had a cloud over your mind you feel like you can't focus i'm telling you right now just put your fingers on your forehead and god's just touching you and bringing clarity right now to your mind and your emotions and i just declare wholeness over every organ over livers over bladders womanly things god gynecology stuff god the things of a woman her anatomy i just thank you they're all aligned in this room and every woman right now wow it's kind of crazy i'm a guy i'm praying and stuff but i hear this i that the the menstrual thing the getting wiped out and the cramps and the pain i just thank you right now god anyone in this room that's been experiencing that as a woman young or older alike i thank you god that will never happen again i declare it i hear it i believe it i have faith for that god if that's been you just embrace that and say thank you god i believe you're doing that in my life god and i ask for strong joints strong eyes strong ears and i just thank you god for the salvation of jesus christ to rest upon us spirit soul and body blameless till you come in jesus name amen amen yeah love you guys get out of here you're in church too much no i'm kidding we'll see you all love you make a friend if you want to come back at six i know me and pastor will be here see you bless you
