we can't have him anymore how about this guy crazy well you know Mario Cantone was on last Friday he looks exactly like maybe you should just drop him but your ratings areas your ratings happen was it hot because of all the political stuff you're doing your twenty two Emmy nominations I think this is the most in your history they congratulate yeah well we thank Trump's well I don't think we'll be giving a speech but if you were to give this speech do you think you deserve a little shout ideas like the way like people winning when they thank God yeah I'm just looking yeah he's a well I'll thank him for all the stuff he's doing for America but I don't know if he's you know the speci tuna for our show we'll say well well so that feels like I can't make jokes like that feel like maybe does like them I do like Donald Trump I just wish you was an hour program yeah if you would say France for example you could you leave Larry all that if you the president anywhere else I was like yo just got Donald Trump is hilarious I hope he never does hey what is our cause I thought that funny yeah everybody likes drunk dad but now when is your drug [Laughter] the point of comedy uh your former colleague I guess you aren't there when he was in Norma Donald yeah form SNL guy he wrote a column saying that you guys are playing right into Trump's hand that you making him more likeable by Alex impression is making him more likable and that comedy is not helping the situation what do you think if Alice goal is to make him more likable I would say if not working I don't think he's I don't I mean I don't know there were I feel like he was already the way he's likable he was already likable before our show like clearly some people respond to him but I don't think we're yeah TV show yeah somebody why are you a neck only on NBC I loved it it was a funny show like I said he's a fun show guy i watch his show I'd watch him in a show about it I wasn't on I wanna watch my kid XML XML can take the responsibility for bringing down Sarah Palin to some extent remember what you did to her again I think you can hear a lot of that or so I agree with that imitating life imitating art yeah yeah well I think politics has become such a TV driven that it's only a matter of time before somebody that's really good at TV becomes in politics like that's just the way it is we watch everything that they do and now somebody actually exploited that to the point of getting higher phones Oh Holly over doc yeah a reality star maybe we all sort of went through yeah yeah yeah is now running stuff it's kind of we got Kid Rock next hopefully acquaintance for Jerry Springer he was a mayor and then he became reality otherwise so you guys are going to be doing some weekend updates some specials during prime time this summer tell us about that [Applause] yes they're starting what next Thursday the 10th August time they told me the day before yeah different manager should be fun you know I think a lot of people I don't know it's fun to do but it's also there's also real news out there cuz a lot of people come in so they're like oh man I love the way you're coming but I don't think that's what we're doing good you know we're the back of class economy is written in the back of classroom we're just with those spitballs at anybody but really also pay attention to accent this is part of the problem though innit because I think it's hard for people to distinguish between what is real news and what is kind of real the fake news because you give you're so good at stuff and it's so to the point and it makes such sense people say well of course this is real this is what you're supposed to me and then you say no no we're parroting what's happening right that's I think that's yeah that's that's the frustrating part is that you want things they know this is all jokes buta I don't like the way you cover when I come we're making jokes I learn who's in office we have to make fun of him that's our job it's not yeah or anything but you know it is good that people are still watching because I think that just shows how bad the regular news is doing if you're looking at yeah why you used to see it in my tabloid or the grocery store you see fake news like you see Hillary Clinton an alien yeah yeah and now you see that like you know speaking of social media though calling there I want to ask you about something you did you recently took one of those BuzzFeed quizzes uh-huh yes can you turn my fear about what happened must be good I took it was stuff I saw I really know I've never taken a bush swear I never take one piece BuzzFeed quizzes but it was like are you Michael che or Colin Jost I took the quiz and I got Michael che a sore subject for both of you but being Michael is maybe not the lucky guy because co-star lively Jones yes she are Leslie Jones we ignore co-star okay yeah look Leslie absolutely I can't have a picture yeah we went to [Laughter] okay are
