everybody welcome back i'm yumble and today's focus is going to be on transit in the city of new market there's currently kind of a half-baked tram system and a half-baked bus system that are sort of separate and i'd like to unify both areas of the city meaning historic main street new market down here and then downtown commercial city center new market we've got our high density kind of mid-rise buildings coming in over here i've i've started selecting buildings to go into little district themes to build out the the houses in this area i want to show you the current tram system that serves that area i want to show you the current bus system that serves historic main street and i also want to show you how we're going to unify the two and ultimately improve the two just with a better transit scheme thus far i've added a a tram depot with some nice bypass tracks and that's all good but what i what i did the the place that i made a mistake in my opinion is i made this big tram loop for downtown and this kind of succeeds at being sort of a jack of all trades it covers the whole area but not very well some spots are going to get hit disproportionately there's really not much opportunity to transfer except to the to the train station there so what i think would be a better option would be several horizontal lines that terminate in a loop until i'm sure of of what the extension is going to look like going this way but using maybe the main roads the main avenues here and using them as as a medium for the tram to come down and i'll do two or three going in this direction i'd like to do a tram station over here hopefully i'll get started on that today as well and along with that we're going to overhaul this area too currently there's this single bus loop this this turquoise line is just a school bus that goes around this area just to just to unify uh you can see it running here hello train you can see it running here where it's literally just a school bus to take people from this area over to the schools and it's a little bit silly and cheesy and it's kind of like not doing us any favors here so what i'd like to do is actually use this road convert it into tram road have a nice riverside tram that connects to this area so we'll have several horizon horizontal tram lines several vertical tram lines too i don't know how vertical this area is going to get but certainly this road is going to go up and connect to old new market to keep the traffic down on on this little road because clearly this is going to be slammed eternally it'll clear every time like i'm not overly worried but we can reduce this ugliness massively by unifying the two areas with a simple tram line a lot of you are probably thinking why why am i not using metro and if you saw the last episode you know i said it about a dozen times the metro is too easy and i use it in every single city i think once you find a method that works every single time it's okay to branch out and try something different if you like traffic lights then try a roundabout if you like roundabouts try a traffic light if you like trams try the metro or buses you know switch it up a little bit or use an alternate combination of each to try to get different results in every city anything really anything to avoid building the same city over and over and over just for a bit of variety in your world let's start with this tram line let's let's start with this vertical one here a lot of the assets that i'm using are going to be revolving around this lrt network by plus plus has this great light rail tram transit network and that's going to be oh god that's not supposed to do that but i've deleted the tram lines so they're now all trying to go back to the origin so anytime you see me using an asset that shows lrt near the bottom it's from clusters pack so this first road i'm just going to go right up it i'm just going to go right up the middle of the street and we'll also do stops along the way of course but for now i'm just going to convert it and we'll do temporary loops at the end until i'm sure of the loops that we need the the nature of them like for instance down here i'll probably end up doing a simple i have this grass tram track also by klus same person this guy right here just a little little tram road i'll end up making some sort of transition here maybe three or four units up and some sort of uh some sort of circle maybe it stays maybe it goes it really depends on how this area develops and how things happen uh 4x4 is probably fine later i'll have to get clever once i'm sure that we're keeping these things i'll have to be very clever and uh and figure out sustainable unique turns for these things because trams unlike the unlike the metro the trams actually require a turnaround they don't go backwards in this game not the trams the trains will but trams absolutely will not um that's fine for now that's probably gonna get switched out for something else eventually but just for functionality we're gonna go right up here keep on going the the current situation is going to get downgraded to regular roads shortly so ignore all the awkward connections that are happening i'll be i'll be fixing those as we as we go i actually don't want a node in the center of this i want to avoid as much awkwardness as possible so i'm going to use node control or excuse me i'm going to use network multi-tool periodically to bash a node or two that's fine we're going to fix all these intersections also as we go now this one's going to be elevated and i wonder i wonder i wonder this tram road is much thicker than the one i had there before i'm actually gonna have to observe if a train can go over it and we'll have to make or under it rather that actually looks great it's very close but it's not uh it doesn't look like it's touching so we're just gonna stick with that and move on we're going up the way you'll notice with this network we're gonna lose a lane to the tram it is a dedicated tram lane but we'll lose an auto lane but that's okay right now the auto network is i can honestly say it's overkill at this moment the auto network the the network for cars and vehicles is way stronger than me than it needs to be at least for this stage of the city's development you also might be wondering what's the difference between this network and the the built-in the built-in uh snowfall four-lane tram road with tracks the configuration is about the same but i feel like that that green is just a little bit cheesy for me and the texture isn't quite as nice and it's fine it's okay but i just think that this is a much more suitable upgrade i love the the concrete blocks there i love the the worn look of the road which somewhat matches this it's a different tone overall but i can i can hang with it it's okay so here's where it's going to get a little bit interesting we've got this entire i'll call this east west i've been calling this the north south that's our compass for now so in effect this is an east-west route that's going to take us from eastern historic new market to western downtown and the goal here is going to be a bit interesting i'm curious i actually don't know if this has an elevated version this grass one probably doesn't if it doesn't that's okay i've got a i've got a solution to that height too high anytime you see height too high and you have anarchy turned on it means that there's no overpass version of that particular network so we're probably going to end up using this one it's it's as i mentioned earlier plus is lrt uh fenceless road so it's a dedicated tram road which may change later i'm not i'm not exactly sure i would love to have a matching road that goes along this side of the river but that's all tbd that's all to be determined at this point for now let's take that lrt network and let's go off-roading for a moment no i take it back we're gonna use the grass one i want to use the grass one as much as possible while we're on the ground and then switch so we're gonna go right up hmm to about here let's see how that looks and then we're going to use elevated elevated lrt to cross the river i'm not sure how thick this network is it actually looks very proportionate for what i'm looking for and we're just looking to be on the ground here across the way because these are both by the same creator they should mesh together fairly well the fact that it's elevated might make a might make a difference in the quality of the connection now let's see so we've gone off-road this is walkable till this point but this network is not walkable currently but that's okay you know if we wanted to be really crazy with this let's try this let's let's do this instead because this isn't in the spirit of quite what i want maybe we want vehicles to be able to drive on this too for now for now and i don't mind this road should not be that popular immediately at least but i wouldn't be opposed to doing a drivable tram road if i could find it that one works so i've got this cool i forget who this one's by but it's a it's a cool us tram road so it's got the yellow line in the middle with integrated tram with parking on the sides so let's try this one out and we'll see if it uh suits our needs and certainly we can design this whole network and then go back and upgrade it later if we want to so now let's rock the freeform road tool and we'll just kind of find our way along the along the way here man the trees i'm going to turn collision off for now i'll delete the trees later because i there is uh there is some truth to if you if you use anarchy and the trees disappear they're not actually gone they're absolutely still there i that i realize that but in this case it's kind of a pain in the butt all right let's do a curved segment and then a straight segment all right we're curving and then the coast seems to go straight for a little bit so we go straight for a little bit and then it looks like it curves again so we're going to respect that the natural curve of the river and try to use the geography as our as our guide here oh i see a nice straight section there so let's map that out first maybe i'm imagining one or two moves ahead as i make each of these that looks pretty good there and we'll curve this in road guidelines i keep them off generally but this is the part where i want them so this is 63 to 67 that's a that's a good that's a good curve in my opinion i'm excited to go back and delete all these trees and see what this area looks like in a moment wow that's going to change things a lot actually that's probably going to ease up a lot of this traffic if anyone's trying to get over here it's going to ease up a ton of traffic on this route all right another instance of flat or straight road rather just like that and then we'll curve it down the old curvy swervey another eight unit curve probably eight by ten yeah that's okay still a good curve respecting the river i really don't want to change the topography of the map too too much i i'm a big fan of certain things will get changed but generally i like to keep it copacetic it's a bit of a lump here i may i may remove the lumpiness of this area yeah it's gonna remove itself that's fine now we gotta get these two together let's do it [Music] curve continuing on [Music] so let's go straight a couple units and then we'll curve it and then we'll go straight a couple more units and then if i can get this curve in one shot that would be really really great i don't think it'll be the case but oh uh okay i like that a lot fairly even 16 units on both sides i i eyeballed it well enough that it'll work very cool let me go clean up these trees and we'll see what the what the result looks like now that adds a good bit of character to this coastline just following the river and kind of mimicking the geography does does wonders for a build in my opinion and i think we actually have our first customer hey let's uh let's take a quick ride on this if i may may we let's follow along it's uh it's not perfectly flat or anything and we don't need to see the whole thing i just want to kind of see for screenshots sake like what sort of view do we get as far as the trees go i might add additional trees that i removed so i want to get rid of some of the trees that are encroaching on the lines and then add some more colorful trees on both sides just to thicken up the area or maybe even remove some on the river side maybe there would be a better view of the river or or something like that yeah i'm glad i'm glad that this vehicle is getting used out of it right away this is three speed just to speed things up a bit so we can get to the bridge and i think all of the people that live in this dense downtown area will will be happy to have a more direct route to the uh to old town cool so the bridge just to highlight the bridge very very nice job plus you nailed it uh this this the bridge is raised up ever so slightly just to keep it out of the water because i found it was a little bit low it's still a little bit low but for my purposes i think it's totally perfect for what we're trying to do every car that chooses to use this road for the record is a car that's not choosing to use this road because the the goal from now on is is absolutely going to be keep as many vehicles off of this section of street as possible there's a train here there's a high density housing development here there's a there's a bridge i gotta move the dump slash add another dump eventually but that's fine so to come complete this bit of line i'm gonna convert this into that same u.s style road i think yeah we're just going to continue this up oh i'll have to swap out the crossing for the us crossing that'll be fun i have never actually seen hmm [Music] let me think about this i'm gonna do this for now and if i have to grade separate it i will if i have to elevate one of them into an overpass i'll figure that out but right now i'm not really gonna worry about that i have not thought that far ahead actually now eventually there's going to be a turnaround for for our purposes today i might just put the turnaround up here in this area and we'll add a couple stops in and get a get a tram line running up here as well but you can see why i'm using this road we've got two different creators two different packs but a fairly unified look the tram track is a bit dirtier looking than the big big urban roads pack but that's okay they're both american looking streets and that's really what i'm going for so we're gonna go up into our area here and this is gonna conclude this part i think so let's add let's add a little turnaround action and this is once again probably a temporary measure just because trams don't go backwards it doesn't really matter right now because this area isn't finished when i finish it i'll have to figure out a nice turnaround for this but until then that's you know it's a little it's a little circular for my taste it's probably not just going to be a lollipop by the end of it neither is this one but for my purposes here today what i want to do is at least establish a stop that's down here close to the train station close to this development that crosses and goes up into this area eliminating the need for that silly bus loop up there so for now at least can i do a stop on the bridge oh i would love to do a stop on the bridge that would be great just across from the train station if you want to get the tram it's just down here i think that that's very um you know close enough it's close enough we'll say so that's good some networks don't let you make stops on bridges that's why i'm so excited about that that option i'm going to put a stop here so this neighborhood will be excited for that it's a bit of a downgrade for what they have currently but in the context the context of future tram options i think it's going to be a very beneficial thing in the long run okay that's good this actually has a bus stop already on it which is not gonna hold up over time uh let's stop at the courthouse this is a this is the courthouse right here next to the gazebo next to the next to this college and that's good and let's actually make another stop next to the courthouse for people going into town i love how that integrates with the already existing like bollards here and the trees and everything very nice network and we'll make another stop next to this area and this is where the line falls back on itself that's where the loop comes into play for trams i think trams are one of the absolute best versions of of uh transit in the game and i think it's quite unfortunate oh what's unfortunate is it's trying to turn around using my using the station there that's really not what i want so to simulate something that's remotely desirable i'm going to put a stop back here and then we'll re-add to this one cool every now and then you'll get some strangeness like this and the way to fix it is to simply delete it put it back in if you saw the lines were crossing over there there's no there's no need of that see if that fixes oh and because i'm using advanced vehicle options we're gonna have to add the trams manually i've got these special trams that i'm that i'm looking to use cosmopoli street car holds 45 i may modify the numbers on these they're also very very slow they go 10 miles per hour but let's do this these are very classic looking things two three four five six let's do six vehicles it's a bit of a long route this will probably adjust with time but here it is everyone's on three speed except for this darn tram more of a trolley really or a street car but there it goes let's have a look i've not seen this in game yet but it's very very pretty the reality is the stark reality is that we will probably increase the speed on these using advanced vehicle options in fact let's do that right now [Music] the cosmopoli it should be allowed to at least go oh geez spring stampers passenger maximum speed [Music] let's see improve public transport as active may override this setting no i think this is the place to do it let's let's let it go you can go at least 25 miles per hour if not 30. i'm going to do 30 with an option to turn it down if i want but i think 30 is a fair value for this for this city here especially when it has so much dedicated track to roll on and let's see if anyone's taken to the to the first stop here oh my god they're stuck i might have some stuck sims to adjust and this crossover may not have fixed the problem oh my god where are you going they're all going somewhere i don't know exactly where but they're all going somewhere okay good they've already taken to it it's good information it's good to know 11 people the 45 i'll have to decide what's realistic for this maybe 45 is realistic and i'll just have to have a ton of vehicles on the lines to sort that out or we can upgrade to a different a different looking car if we so desire different vehicle but i love the usage that this is getting this does not seem to be getting backed up in the same way especially since the garbage trucks can just drive through the train so that's really cool it's one of my favorites this is getting some love because this is the best way for this area to get into the city these two stops are going to be the two best ways to move this traffic into the downtown area so i'm happy about that while we're waiting for that to populate and we'll while i'm waiting to decide for myself if i like it or not let's do uh phase two of this operation same tram track take it i would love to do two lines one here hmm at the very least i'd like one here and then another one that originates over here so let's let's start with this let's start with what i know i want in the future i'm gonna let the game run while i while i manage this let's make the turn around so i don't forget on the other end see tram road the grassy tram road and i'm gonna do the same cute little thing i've been doing we'll just go four units up it's a bit goofy but eventually i'd like to have a more elaborate tram turn around here like let's say there's some feature along the river it would be really nice if this tram continued and had a way to a station for the river feature some future development there's so much potential here i really have not i swear i'm going as fast as i can without overbuilding and being silly but i have all these ideas that just don't they don't pop into existence instantaneously let me tell you believe you me do you want it done faster do you want it done right that's the question look at this holy tram holy tram turn around batman not not turn around but tram intersection there are all of the possible outcomes i might have to use my remove cross my remove trax mod to adjust that out a little bit you'll see there's this other parallel tram line that's gonna go away that is it's all part of the plan i think a lot of the plans i had have gone away but that's okay i think i think better plans have been starting to be us you know implemented every now and then i'll see a bit of an uneven spot i know that the node will be centered if i just redraw it this one yes a centered node is a good thing because then the traffic will transfer kind of evenly rather than transitioning in an awkward spot so this is going to be interesting i'm going to leave this area partially unfinished i suppose for now we'll come back to it once i'm sure of the what the what the future holds for this section so i know that that corridor shall exist but what does that say this one will also be an option the way that i foresee this i'd like to have one that goes past city hall and then down this way so let's start with this right now we're into we're beyond where my plan lives i don't i've run out of plan at this point so we're going to improvise a bit so we're going to cross the main road there now this gets us back to the train station glad to see that [Music] and i suppose that this would cross here and then maybe it swings left a bit nice gentle turn swings left right in front of the tram depot say hello to your origins and then maybe this continues on to the end that was a whole bunch of little nodes in there so let's just redraw these to clean up the nodes a bit it comes from making things and deleting things and accidentally adding nodes where you don't mean to things like that but there should be three even segments in each of these good and i'm gonna do another lollipop on the end here just to just to finish it off uh let me i'll do that and i'll come back in just a moment so here i am trying to come up with ideas for this turnaround we're gonna have two different sort of vertical tram lines two different just to show you where we're at so far these purple lines here oh geez there's all these other older ones that are going to get erased ignore the ignore the small purple line but the large purple avenues are tram lines and they're going to end in this area and i want them to to be able to turn around and also transition from line to line if somebody wants to transition from this line to say this one to get to city hall or or whatever the case may be i want to give them a smooth way to do it and i've got this kind of crazy network we'll see if it works as intended but i've got this crazy weird network that i think will be magical in kind of a mad scientist sort of way we may end up this might even be a whole station by the time i'm done with it this might be a station which will give us access to this pedestrian what is supposed to be a pedestrian shopping area leave your car in the parking lot leave your tram in the tram lot tram a lot so we're going to select this this should all be tram road i suppose since this is where that one ends so this is probably where we're going here's the high school incomplete high school with some sporting areas we'll end up with roads in and and uh parking and stuff it's that's the high school for this entire area so it holds a lot of people but the tram will serve it if people want to pay extra to take the tram to come out this way then so be it so that's cool but it doesn't give us a turnaround just yet does not give us a turnaround this can be the turn around and this can be the funky station okay i'm excited for this it might crash and burn but i want to share this network with you because it's so nutty and i never actually knew i'd be i wasn't sure how i was going to use it this one right here tram exchange segment so in the center of this whole thing it's going to expand out now what this is is a tram two tram platforms and at least one or two car lanes to get around so if cars want to follow this in to drop people off at the station they can but be warned be forewarned it's gonna get get weird or maybe do we keep this wide i'm probably not gonna like this but i'm gonna try it anyway just for the sake of experimentation we're gonna use our same lrt network hmm what i don't like about this is that the cars well let me see let's see how this works out the cars could go anywhere i guess let's do it this way first and i may change my mind i have the right to i have the right to change my mind let's put it that way i've established the turn around at the end of this one and this vertical line there are going to be stops on each of these that are close enough to the vertical line so that people can walk between the two vertical is relative forget what i'm saying and watch what i'm doing at the end of the day that's what it comes down to the outer lane is going to correspond to our lower line and this may change i i don't really know what the benefit what the upshot or the downside might be of doing this either way but let's do a stop there we'll do a stop over here for the people trying to get to the to this side of the high school for sporting events we can do a stop there's nothing in between yet so we'll do a stop down here right in between everything so right in the middle of this downtown section great access for everybody [Music] we can do a stop i don't know what this area is going to be yet but i may do a stop here just to serve the folks from the train station so they can just walk down and catch the train we can skip this for now this little in-between segment is going to be good for a transition for a transfer between these two lines at some point and then let's flip it back hopefully that uses the turnaround as intended it does i'll have to get some one-way track some one-way grass track stop there so people can get on stop there for downtown for the discerning downtown traveler another opposing stop for this area it's really good to do opposing stops if you've ever been on a real transit network it's nice to be able to go to one place and and [Music] is there any point to what i've done here this is the part that's going to require a little problem solving on my part is there any reason to do this i'll truly have to see what the other uh let's connect this for now and we'll call that good there's only two tram lines are we gonna need bi-directional support is the question because these are four separate stops here basically four separate stations it'll allow four trams to pull into this station at once but as far as the turnaround goes i just i just don't know yet let's do the same thing over here i'm going to do this this outer one will become yeah that works the outer one we'll use it for now and coming up this way i it may even be smart to move this to up here so it can be on a main on a main road right in front of the shopping center but for now let's just let's just do it again these guys are going to transfer they're going to transfer beautifully once there's a stop a little closer to it but line sharing is is going to prove crucial right now it thinks that that's the best way to turn around that's not really what i want so i'll have that stop there it'll come back this way and we'll double back on ourselves here and we'll see what this turnaround looks like it's very messy very very messy for my for my tastes no crossover here which is nice but there's so much crossover up here that that's totally messy and there's going to be a lot of trucks using that as well some modifications are in order let's put it that way modifications are in order what what if we took this station track and put the station right up in front of the shopping center or let's forego the station track for now and we'll just see what it looks like without it entirely regular track uh this this whole thing is about to get downgraded a little bit it still knows there's stops on there but we will downgrade the whole thing i might even make a tram only network for this that might be the best option um i'm going to let the trams run for a second there's no trams running on this line of course but i'm going to let them solve solve the problem i've given them looks like they have the re-pathing has been a success now let's see if we can if we move this up to this area somewhere well that's nice there's no crossover on the yellow on itself at least now the blue a little bit of crossover for the blue here it looks like but that is okay in my opinion [Music] this may be the best approach for now until i figure out something a little more substantial but that's good we've got our north south here or orienting it this way we've got east west unifying this area to this area it would be really nice to have one more vertical line though i don't think they need it suburbia will largely have cars plus the option to walk to these stops i suppose but people are already gathering which is good let's put some trams on it i'm going to add trams to each of these and firm up the transfers and we'll see if that yields some good results so i had an epiphany over the course of adjustments that i made i removed the entire old tram line to avoid confusion and i had another lollipop over here because we love lollipops temporary lollipops don't forget they're temporary that nothing lasts forever especially the things that i'm building right now but what occurred to me was that i wanted this side to have another this area to have another vertical line and i wanted another horizontal line for this section and i think the way to go is to allow this section to cross go up here and not do this this is not the way of this of this thing it's going to go up here and then we're gonna do another lollipop lollipop lollipop you know we're gonna we're gonna do what i would call the right thing here i think this is the right move this is temporary as well everything's temper until i'm sure what these areas are i really don't want to commit to some elaborate turnaround system but just to get this functional and just to get it operational and good looking i'm going to take the the tram stop oh i'm going to remove these and we're going to take this guy and move him over to here nice something walkable here would be fantastic too but for now let's do that and then it comes down and it's still going to stop here it's still going to stop here some more frequent downtown stops make a ton of sense to me so i'm a fan of that and then i'll turn around back here that's really great so you can see we've got these three lines that all interlock at different places whenever i look at a metro map i know we're not building metro but whenever i look at a metro map in dc specifically i see all of these lines that cross over one another and you've sort of got options if you want to go if you want to transfer at one station or another i think there's always an optimal path but this is going to give our sims options and just like the road that we developed up top in fact exactly like the road that we that we established that goes to old town new market which will give everyone an option to go from a to b just like that they're gonna have tram options within the city as well i'm i'm really excited about this actually good idea yumble if it doesn't work then hey we tried but if it does work as intended then it's a then it's a good idea i'm eliminating this what was previously an asymmetrical road and i i don't think it's going to cause any problems sorry oh they hated that sorry guys yeah if i can reduce this by a single node i totally will and we're going to need one more very temporary lollipop for all i know the city is actually going to extend down into this area so by the time that happens this may go even further and connect to something that i don't even know about yet that's why i say these are temporary but we gotta have them it's the nature of trams the nature of tram four by four by four by four four is an arbitrary amount i just know that the turn will probably look pretty okay ideally this would be one way also but whatever and this is kind of a mess but temporary is as temporary does all right tram line so starting in this area perhaps yeah we'll do this for now starting in this area looping down we can put a stop here we can put a stop next to this guy because we want as much transfer as possible as much transfer we will put a stop right next to downtown downtown is going to have this nice set of options surrounding it same thing over here we're going to go just past so they can transfer to this if they want to and then hopefully this cooperates yep goes around the lollipop comes back for people that want to just get on here and go right towards the high school or right towards the shopping area or right towards suburbia whatever they want [Music] and the koopa de grassy up here cooper de gracious noise noise noise noise uh these two are very similar in color but that's okay so for this [Music] here's a couple ideas i'm going to to encourage line sharing here let's say somebody comes from old town newmarket and they come in and they want to transition here for whatever reason maybe they want to get slightly closer to the train station whatever i want that option to be there i want them to be able to walk just around the corner within within two half crosswalks they can be where they need to be two half crossings i'm not sure if a half crossing is a real thing but here we are similarly i'm going to nudge these up a piece [Music] sorry everybody who thought that was a thing nudge that up a piece so it can be close to this and i'm going to add another stop right next to these i could have picked either side for these stops i i don't really i don't know that one side will be better than the other necessarily but that seems nice to me so we've got a lot of opportunity to transfer now let's look at the next set of areas [Music] oh we probably don't need that anymore either yep that's unnecessary i'll revisit this as we add things the stops will get modified for sure these are going to go away this is a bit close from for my tastes there's no real reason to have stops there when there's a stop here if they want to come down this way and transfer and then go out or just walk down here if they can walk to to here from the train station just to explain my logic if they can make it to this bridge they can make it to this sorry charlie you can walk a little further you'll be fine uh this is for the train station almost exclusively this is for downtown both of which are good we might even be able to get away just with that one now this makes me want to put a transition here just looking at this the obvious ability to transfer here would be beautiful for those who want to transfer and continue going up this way love to see it same thing for for these folks i'm just going to pick a spot for them pick a spot for them and then give them the opportunity to transfer if they want i'm gonna move these back at some point we will probably have a single stop this this spot doesn't need two stops just the nature of the thing once this is one way track it's going to need one stop which will face the neighborhood probably and give them the ability to it'll be centered on this park this is going to be green space so the green space will house the tram turn around slash station for this entire area that looks pretty good they can transfer here they can transfer here this is a transfer between the two these two lines which don't really need a transfer but that is great i'm going to add a bunch of trams to this and let it run for a little bit and see how how the current citizens like it and then we'll look into old town historic new market and maybe just get rid of the bus line i'm not sure yet i think the tram network is complete what we're looking at right now is actually the two most popular tram stops so the uh the red vehicles are actually signifying that this is the old new market line so it goes all the way up to old new market which has now become retroactively it's become a streetcar suburb i suppose is what it actually is and this is the the midtown line so this this line that goes all the way up to the shopping area and the hospital and everything and turns around and comes back that is the most popular transfer in the city and i think i've got everything balanced well enough right now the cars are carrying 100 people each which is a bit high um but it might it might be a matter of picking a different asset or something i do love that old street car look though like i would love to have proper street cars in here rather than like a full light rail system but i'm somewhat flexible at the same time but yeah that that is the result we have hundreds of people riding here let me show you the numbers 617 people ride the tram currently so these the two lines the blue you can see it flashing there the number four line i'll name these properly later but the number four line and the old town new market green line that goes all the way up are the two most popular spots i will say i love i love looking just outside the courthouse this is so great this little this little spot here this whole little scene is very very nice i think this area is going to flourish once we add some some more low-density housing kind of surrounding this core i think this area is going to be great and then the same concept here where we're going to get more more high-density housing in different capacities and we'll have a couple like high density nuclei around the area very excited for the future thanks for hanging out thanks for letting me show you how i approach transit or at least how i'm experimenting with trams in this specific episode um it's definitely not my normal approach usually i'm using metro and then trams and then buses now i'm going to try to just use trams and buses with trains bringing people into the
