Hellooo everyoneeee! I've been craving some bubble tea lately but if I drink too much in the cold, I'd need to go pee :( (*subs note: hello y'all :)) I'm here for the clout lmao) So, today I'm going to make BOBA CAKE! It doesn't just smell good but also is soo delicious. Worth every minute of pain and struggling :)) I'll make the milk tea first. Put in 20g of black tea into a pot with 250ml of non-sugar milk Then, take her to the bedroom- I mean the stove :) Remember that, because I'm making a cake, I'm using this technique. If you want to make milk tea to drink, there's a video on my channel on how to make it After the milk starts to bubble, cover it and leave it in for 20 minutes I'll continue on reading these books so I look as cool as those Korean actors in K-dramas :)) After waiting for an eternity, take all the tea bits out That'll leave us about 170ml of milk tea. 50ml we'l use for the cake and the 120ml we'll use for the frosting After filtering, leave it there to cool and we'll use this to make the cake (*subs note: bruh I thought it was already cool enough to vibe with us cool kids) Next, I'm going to make the boba flavoured cake foundation (is that what it's called?? idk man i just work here) Crack 3 eggs and seperate the egg yolks and egg whites in seperate bowls so they can't gossip about your ugly face anymore :)) If you failed and some of the egg yolks got into the egg whites it's ok, no one expects much from you anyways :) After that, take the milk tea that's been cooled and pour 50 ml in (remember to not mess up this time, pour in only 50ml) Put in 20g of cooking oil (ew) Then mix it up, go crazy like you just ingested 6 lines of cocaine :)) I'm just saying that but I'm a child of Jesus :)) I don't know anything about drugs and alcohol not like someone sitting there :)) After getting obliterating that mixture, mix in 70g of flour (the kind of flour you use to make sponge cakes) and half a spoon of crushed up black tea Continue the process of destroying the mixture :)) The black tea bits are crushed up so you won't feel anything while eating it and it smells reaaally good too We're now done with the egg yolks so set it aside Now, we'll put in 1/4 a teaspoon of lemon juice into the eggwhite Whipping the egg whites is pretty easy when you have done it many times and can estimate the airyness of the egg whites Just don't be scared to mess up and then it'll be okay (Nino is unordinarily nice today, I'm scared) After whipping up the egg whites, put in the sugar. In this recipe I'm going to use 65g of sugar I'm going to divide it into 2 parts. We'll put the first half into it first Keep on whipping it until the air bubbles becomes small (only small, not completely smooth) then put the rest of the sugar in Mix it at medium speed. The egg white will transform from a trypophobia mess into a smooth consistency I only whip it until I reach a soft peak while making this cake so the air bubbles won't pop too much when mixing with the egg yolk I'll put in 1/4 of the egg white part into the egg yolk part to lighten it In this step, use a whisk and mix it with confidence. This will loosen up the egg yolk so it'll be easier to mix with the rest of the egg whites Then I'll mix the rest of the egg whites with the egg yolks. Use a spatula and mix it by the folding technique This technique is pretty common in the cooking community, if you're already familiar with it, you can use a whisk If not, watch videos on how to do it. It's 2020, dude The mixture is light, fluffy and airy and not watery I'm using a 18cm pan, not 16, it was an error on my part. If you use 16 it'll leave out a bit of cake batter While making sponge cakes like these, I don't usually prep the pan first and use aluminum pans instead Bake it at 160°C for 50min (can vary depends on your oven) Remember to heat it up for 15 minutes before putting it in, okayy? When it's cooked, get it out and put it on a rack (aaaaaa my oven is so weak that the brown skin on the cake is gone :() Now I'm going to make the frosting. My godddd it's so deliciousssssss I'm still using my useless barfing chicken :)) It sucks at what it's supposed to do On camera it looks like it's really helpful but actually I had to seperate a lot of remaing egg whites in it off camera but it's here so I can show off sooo :)) I'll use 1 egg white and 40g of brown sugar to make the frosting Throw in the 120ml of the milk tea we made earlier and lastly 5g of cornstarch Whisk it until it's all mixed, especially the cornstarch, until it's all water. If you don't I'm going to drill a hole into that sweet tooth of yours :))) After whisking it, my beloved audience, turn on the stove at low heat and keep on mixing the mixture. I wuv you too much to hurt you hehehe :))) Remember to keep on mixing it and keep the fire low When the mixture looks like jelly poo, turn off the heat and take it out :)) Cover it and put in the fridge for about 50-60 minutes okayyy? While waiting for that bowl to cool down, pour out 200g of whipping cream Because I'm bored and want to completely break my bones, I'm using a whisk :)) You normies can use a hand mixer :))) Only whisk it a little so we can change the airyness later After you've destroyed your bones Midoriya Izuku style, take out the jelly poo and mix it again Pour it in the whipping cream bowl And keep whisking it until they both are corporated This step is where you can change the airyness and fluffyness of the cream. If you're an extra dramatic person you can whip it until it looks like mine so the finished product looks cool I'll boil a pot of water and then put in 50g of boba (you can see how to make it on my other video lol) Boil it in scorching hot water okayyyy? :)) After the water starts boiling again, put the fire on medium heat for 30 minutes Remember to mix it again every now and then so it won't burn. After 30 minutes of pain and mixing, the water will be evaporated and the pearls will be delicious Filter out the water and only take the pearls Put the pearls in the cat bowl that everyone definitely has. The pearl is only good when it's in a kitty bowl :)) Mix in about 10-20g of brown sugar (*subs note: I'm going to have diabetes from just watching this vid lol) It sounds soooo satisfying :)) (*subs note: that's what good pssy sounds like 0-0)(yes its a vine reference please don't kill me) When you're done with that, put it aside for it to cool down and absorb the sugar I'm going to use a mica plastic cover to surround the cake's top half. This will make the frosting less sticky to the mica and won't waste any frosting Next I'll pour in the frosting. Remember to cover the cake tightly so the cream won't slip out oop- O-O Hehehe here comes the delicious sugary pearls You can put in how much pearls to your liking, but if you put the pearls in the fridge it won't be good anymore Aaannndd we're donee!! If you want the cream to be less t h i c c, mix the cream less and it'll be loose It looks good, doesn't it? I planned to record it again because I didn't like how it looks :)) But I'm both busy and lazy so I'm not going to :) Who cares anyway if it tastes good :)) Oooff look at that deliciously sexy cream :))) It looks soo gooddddd :)) The cake is seriously too good to be true. Even if you don't like pearls, eating the cake with only the cream is good enough Even the sponge cake itself is good enough on its own, tbh Taking one bite out of this cake is death for your toungue. The flavours keep hitting you constantly. (please Nino I haven't eaten anything since breakfast don't torture me like this) The pearls are chewy and sweet. If you don't like it, you can still eat it without them I'm a total boba fanboy so everything tastes good with boba in it :)) If you want to learn how to make something, just comment below and I'll do some research and make it for youu :)) Don't forget to share and subscribe!
