Body Armor of the Future?!?!?

hey guys I got a new job doing a little little extra work on the weekends now that makes a little extra cash you can hang out at nice range and spend some time out here it's relaxing Java honestly hey what's your name Mitch Matt we'll get back to work please yes sir welcome to demolition ranch today's video is sort of a part two from a previous video the desert eagle video we did a few weeks back that video we shot this plate and what I realized is this plate was too strong for just our desert Eagles we need something bigger and better this plate was sent to me by a viewer from Florida Brandon thanks buddy this is two pieces of metal together so this side is air 500 steel which is a common steel used in steel body armor this side is chrome carbide which Brandon told me was very hard but very brittle if you look on this edge you can see the two metals that's ar500 steel this is chrome carbide so it's just all over the front and this chrome carbide has been shot now we shot with 57 with a 44 Magnum with a 50 AE and it did nothing you can see these large cracks in it it had these beforehand I think this was part of the cooling process but we're we hit it with a bullet right there nothing we hit it there that I think was a 50 AE did nothing nothing Luke did it Dan good day to you sir do you mind wearing the body armor for today's video my man knew I could count on you buddy look an amazing buddy this is not duct tape that is a tactical vest that's made to be disguised as duct tape so people don't think that you know what you're doing but really you do so we got it on here this has proved to be a pretty tough plate but I'm a pretty tough dude and I brought some pretty tough guns I forgot to bring a pretty tough tripod though so this video is gonna be up a little bit terribly shot which I guess is not that abnormal so we'd already stopped a 357 Magnum of 44 Magnum an of 50 AE we know that so we can assume it's probably gonna stop 9-millimeter but I just want to prove it to you guys that this plate is tough so I want to start at the bottom we're gonna start with the nine-millimeter out of my beretta what I do with the mag I lost the mag found the mag 9-millimeter Full Metal Jacket out of this suppress wow that knocked all the tape off in one shot okay we're not gonna get many shots out of this okay so that's one downside to the plate carrier it looks like duct tape is it has kind of the strength of duct tape but this is a prototype later it's gonna be better hooked it back up as you can guess nine millimeter did nothing and I also totally rigged it up with our level two vest plate carrier it's got integrated microfibers anyway you might have thought on that last scene hey Matt it seems like you have a tripod because it seemed really stable while you shot I forgot it didn't bring a tripod a very large tripod right set it right here perfect this won't go through it but I want to give it a gosh let's see what it does I want to make sure this is a five seven shooting a 5.7 by 28 green tip what so this is basically like a small rifle round in a pistol so it's it's going fast it's good at penetrating things if you ever want to play a drinking game just drink every time I say penetrating on this channel alright let's see what happens my bet is it puts a tiny scratch the tiniest of scratches but no then let's find out actually that is our best scratch slash dint yet did not go through doesn't look like he cracked this any more than it already was cracked so I think it's time to step it up but I'm not ready to go to a rifle just yet having a shotgun 12-gauge shooting a 1 ounce high-powered slug this thing is gonna move tons of energy and smack it super hard but it's just led it doesn't have a jacket which makes it less likely to penetrate it also it has a bigger surface area hitting which also makes it less likely penetrate but I think it has a very good likelihood of being able to crack that chrome carbide since it's brittle it's gonna hurt yeah takes care of business that's for sure survey says nothing I don't think it's din it it no it's perfect it is time to step it up to a real rifle caliber out of a real out what we do and it will save you money to the show next up is a 7.62 by 39 the caliber commonly shot of an ak-47 well we don't have an ak-47 here this kinda looks like an air 15 and an ak-47 put together which is why they call it the Iraq the AR a K this is an Iraq chambered is 76039 you can tell by that big banana mag coming out of it and this is perfect for what we're about to do but you know what make it even better than perfect is if we put a suppressor on it this is an AM TAC mantas P suppressor in 30 caliber so the cool thing about this and I didn't even know this existed this is an over barrel suppressor so the threads are not right there at the end the threads are actually you can kind of see them except for the focus is terrible the threads are deep in there they're like four inches deep in there so instead of mounting like a regular suppressor where the threads are here and it threads into the end of it and makes your gun a lot longer this suppressor mounts right here the threads are like probably about right there actually it mounts there so you have a much shorter package here this thing only extends like five and a half inches past the end of your barrel but it still has a lot of volume in here to help muffle that sound the barrel comes all the way to about right there so this thing has a lot of volume in there like a big suppressor but doesn't stick out an extra five inches I really like the a rack overall I've never run it suppressed until just now I just shot one to make sure it worked it's interesting so the a rack you couldn't switch it to ambidextrous and so it can eject out either side which is a pro if you're a left-handed shooter for me it doesn't matter because I'm a right-handed shooter so I only use this side anyway but the problem with this is when you put a suppressor on it it shoots gas back in any gun it shoots gas back out this way at you but that's not usually an issue because it's firing the gas out right here but now it's coming out this side too and so every time I fire there's more pressure up here than normal and so it shoots a big puff of air hot gas right in my face it's not the most fun thing I'm gonna go ahead and turn the gas setting off so it doesn't do that on this one can turn it to low and everything I had it on low it still puffs hot gas in my face not super fun so maybe this isn't the gun it will stay on but right now have the gas turned off so it's not gonna cycle and I do have earmuffs on because these are supersonic rounds and when I fire them without your muffs the gun is not loud but the bullet cracking through the air is still loud let's see what it does to our body armor plate smacked it I'll turn the gas on just so you can see it I don't really want to shoot it close to my face cuz it really it does not what the flat dark earth gun with the flat dark earth am tak over barrel suppressor is this not the best looking package you've ever seen all talking about in this channel freakin penetration and good looking packages seven six to eight thirty nine has put a dent in it I think it might even chipped off the very slightest of the top layer that is the first thing that has actually hurt this plate and if you've watched this channel for very long at all you know that if you need to penetrate something you got to move fast a regular ar-15 chambered in 5.56 this actually is a really good example of something where an over Barrel suppressor be handy because it would go down like this it would actually go in the handguard and this one has a big enough handguard opening that it would slip down inside that things still really hot and sit like about like that should be really cool if this was the 30 Cal maybe you just need to put it through in your black eye barrel on this I think we're gonna have similar results with the five five six so a little small hole maybe chipped off top layer I don't know did not do much desert tech SRS this gun has not been on the channel in a while some people think that when they don't see a gun for a while and I sold it I don't sell guns anymore the demolition after receiving the signal will assemble and be ready for whatever whether it's zombies whether it's terrorists whether it's Canada attacking us I'm on to you Canada got to make sure I can I'm the demolition I lost mag again I think it's going to stop I'm I'm 99% sure that it will not go through that plate it's getting annoying to tape this thing up oh my gosh we broke through it finally it went straight through so this plate really did not give at all until it finally gave all the way the steel behind didn't seem to do much at all that makes me actually wonder if this is actually our 500 steel because it's it's pretty thin in some spots like that's pretty thin there but it's almost a quarter inch err 500 steel maybe I shall shoot one more time just to be sure it stopped at that time so did we just hit a weak spot oh man it's so close that did not come through but it is so close busted through the chrome carbide it almost came through that back plate I kind of want to just try something just to try it we know what its gonna do but we still want to see it happen yeah that's a 50 BMG first one up as an armor-piercing incendiary round we're gonna send it I don't intend on shooting more than one because I think our target is going to be knocked out and destroyed after one but I've got more rounds just in case it's not so this is the armor-piercing incendiary round the way I can tell is it's got some scorch marks on the back there and it is a much smaller hole than the regular Full Metal Jacket this one looks like a 50 Cal went through it this one looks like a golf ball went through it you can see how this metal on the back is super flexible it bent out of the way whereas this there's no bending in the front it just cracked pieces out and broke off so this on the front is a much harder more brittle metal this is a softer more flexible metal I don't know if y'all realized but this channel just hit five million subscribers y'all are awesome never ever thought this channel make 2 5 million it's such a crazy number to
