BIGGER Than 12 Gauge ??? 👀

why would you ask me that um i've duty you're all right look man you're getting kind of crazy on me i just need to know what time it is i'm sorry you can't ask me that man it's 11 56. sorry [Music] what's up everybody my name is scott and you're watching kentucky ballistics we're back out of the range and today we're going to have some fun with a very large shotgun i'm excited to wear out my of a 12 gauge shotgun but today we got something a little bit bigger this is a 10 gauge shotgun now this shotgun is not very fancy it's not a sem automatic it's not a pump it's just a single shot brake action partner 10 gauge shotgun this is basically just a tube with a hammer on it and it is going to kick the snot out of me i'm super excited to try it out but before we do let me show you some ammo real quick so you know the difference between 12 gauge and 10 gauge this is a 12 gauge shotgun shell and this is a 10 gauge shotgun shell you'll notice that the 10 gauge has a bigger diameter than the 12 gauge most 12 gauge shotgun shells are two and three quarter inch and three inches long there is bigger ammo out there for 12 gauge but standard is two and three quarter inch and three inches long when it comes to 10 gauge you're looking at three and a half inches long and because of the longer shell and bigger diameter you can pack a lot more lead in there the 12 gauge slug is one ounce the 10 gauge slug is one and three quarter ounce almost double what the 12 gauge is and when it comes to double lot buck your 12 gauge is gonna have about nine pellets the 10 gauge has 18 pellets okay the time has come let's try out this 10 gauge shotgun i have a three and a half inch one and three quarter ounce 10 gauge slug we're gonna nail that piece of steel and if it's still standing maybe we'll nail it again i'm really curious to see how bad this kicks whoa all right knocked it over now i know what you're asking right now scott what kicks harder 10 gauge shotgun or elephant gun and i'm gonna go ahead and say hands down elephant gun this may be close second third still nowhere near the elephant gun oh nowhere near the damage that elephant gun did but still a lot more than a 12 gauge whoa that's cool did it again all [Music] right this is one thing i like about brake actions watch this oh we gotta do it one more on time like hitting to the left just a tad so this time i'm going to aim a little higher and we're going to see if we can get it to knock over on the first shot you know actually knock it back rather than it rocking forward and falling over whoa by the way this is just a bead site there is no rear sight so not going to be as accurate if i had a front sight and a rear sight all right listen up with the steel no dents or anything on steel just a bunch of splatter i don't know how this table has made it this long today may be its last day all right let's not start out too fancy we're gonna start out some water jugs and don't worry i've already heard your complaint there's spray painted a color but you want the water colored too so next time you will have colorful water with the colorful water jugs but not today uh just regular water in there today okay we got four water jugs so i'm thinking we do two water jugs with slugs and then two water jugs with double hot bun first up double hunt buck three and a half inch shell with 18 pellets let's uh let's nail that pink water jug first [Applause] oh got a little bit wet let's see what we got next it's luck of the draw because i just threw them in my pocket one ounce slug let's do the blue one on the right side i'm hitting a little to the left so i'm going to aim to the right dang ha ha lee uh looks like we knocked our purple one on the ground there double up buck and i don't feel like walking over there so we're just gonna nail that one on the ground you know it's i'm like i don't know four or five shots in i'm starting to feel it in my shoulder a little bit one and three quarter ounce slug our last water jug right there in the middle let's nail it [Music] holly there's not a whole lot left our water jugs just absolutely shredded those things you guys really liked it when i shot the six pound can of white gravy so when got another one curious to see what happens even the 9 mil was pretty entertaining so i'm thinking slug oh my gosh oh my god [Music] it was raining gravy that was hilarious my berm is disgusting got some gravy on my arm none on the face though wow wow i think it's going to be kind of hard to top that this is not going to be as eventful but i want to shoot this four inch cinder block with one of the slugs if i had to guess there is not going to be a whole lot left of this cinder block jeez just ran right through it now i say we shoot some eggplants because nobody likes eggplant ah that one was dense eggplants require double hot butt oh he fell on the ground nicked that one wouldn't hit that guy on the ground there 10 gauge seems pretty effective on eggplants i have one more new target for us to try out today and that's one gallon of miracle whip the gravy was pretty eventful i'm curious to see what this does oh wow [Music] that was just about as eventful as the gravy [Applause] somehow managed to not get any miracle whip on me guess what time it is [Music] so like i said you're not going to be as accurate with just a bead sight as you would with a front sight and a rear sight but just for fun i've scooted back to 50 yards and we're gonna see if we can hit that piece of steel nice all right well we hit it once let's see if we can hit it again two for two uh oh brake action was a little hard to open i got one more let's see if we can hit it a third time all right three times is enough i'm gonna quit while i'm ahead well i can now say that i like 10 gauge i think i like 10 gauge better than 12 gauge it was putting out a lot of power but i have to say i'm a little disappointed i've heard so many stories about how hard and how bad the 10 gauge is gonna kick but i guess the elephant gun has kind of ruined me because it didn't compare anything to the elephant gun that thing kicks way harder my shoulder doesn't feel anything like it did after shooting that gun but the 10 gauge still does kick a lot don't get me wrong what did you think about today's video let me know in the comment section down below what you
