Granger Smith vs Hand Cannons 💥

[Music] what's up everybody my name is scott and you're watching kentucky ballistics i'm down in texas with the one and only granger smith thanks for having me out you're welcome brother thanks for coming yeah he told me that he has never shot big war handguns right yep what's the biggest handgun you've shot man i haven't shot anything probably above a 40. really smith and wesson yeah yeah he's in for a treat today i've brought you a spread of risk breakers yeah now this looks like it you do have a dental plan i have a dental plan yeah yeah all right so i figured we'd start out small i'm just joking and uh i've got a 44 magnum okay and so let's start with we're going to start with that and i got you some 300 grain okay hollow points perfect that would be a good starter so what's the order of how we're going to move through these here so 44 minutes we're going to go up yeah okay i will work up to uh what i consider to be the most snappy okay so uh we got 44 magnum that's the smith and wesson combat magnum with a three inch barrel then it's kind of a big step up next but this is the alaskan it's a two and a half inch barrel 454 casual and that is right there okay and this is actually my first uh big bore handgun that kind of started the addiction when did you start shooting this oh it's not like a lifetime thing okay yeah like five years ago four years ago and so you got that then we're gonna go up to the 460 smith and wesson magnum and this one's actually pretty snappy too it's a two and three quarter inch barrel and this comes out of their bear kit so this is actually like bear protection gun that's what we talked about earlier so that the the purpose in life is bear protection yes dangerous game protection you want to go hike with your family but still around hiking you better not be going far well you know you still wear your weight pack that day and you just wear this and then we will step up to the 500 smith and wesson magnum which that's the big daddy what's the purpose of this one in life again bear protection yeah and watermelons you know they're dangerous so thank you youtube and then i brought this one for fun this one doesn't kick that much but it's still fun to just shoot it it's the 45-70 snub nose okay and then also i just couldn't help you i brought everything i just packed it up i hope i don't get pulled over on the way at home uh 20 inch barrel 500 magnum with a scope and i may have also brought the elephant gun so what man what's the difference in in performance on these two how is this going to feel so this is going to be more of a push okay it's so heavy that you are aren't really going to have a snap but with this uh because the barrel is so short you don't have a lot pulling down on you up front and that gun's going to want to more come up rather than push back okay so the barrel link has most of it yes okay yes your barrel length the shorter you go to a point uh is when you get your higher recoils okay you will definitely be a part of the risk breakers club after today is over okay are you excited i'm ready i'm so excited a little bit nervous making sure my teeth are gonna be okay i got a mouthpiece i'm the perfect candidate for uh for trying out this table because like i said i haven't i haven't shot any of these before um we're out here at my range and so it should be it should it should be good it'll be good i'm excited let's get started feel free it's double action or single action so you can just pull the trigger or you can [ __ ] the hammer back number one it's got a little pop yeah yeah yeah i like that i like it so this one definitely want to hang on to it this one's pretty snappy okay um and i say just [ __ ] the hammer back on this one do single action there you go [Music] just like that fireball that's awesome there's something bigger oh we're still yeah we got two more two more bigger ones all right so that's your next step up okay now what's the snappiness i should expect um it not a whole lot snappier but it's definitely snappier than what you just shot it's got a lot more weight yeah just in the gun itself too i'm excited for you can you tell the difference a bit yeah there's a lot more a lot more power you're doing good though you're doing great all right this is this is it after this no step up after this okay actually i lied there's same gun just bigger ammo okay so this is 500 smith and wesson magnum three and a half inch barrel so we'll start you out with a 350 grain okay but if you're willing we'll finish you up with that that's a 700 grain hard cast and this out of this is the worst you're going to feel in a handgun out of all handguns in the world that's all i've shot yeah that's gonna kick more than anything and what is the the life application of having this snub nose they uh i don't know i think someone just decided they wanted to get as big as they could okay there you go sir i like how he he does a little giggle right before i know [Music] hey we should have left the yellow jackets up there they would have left after that like hey i'm out i know you're while you're fresh i'll go ahead and give you this now is it will i feel the difference in this yeah yeah you will it'll be a little more but this is it after this i'll leave you alone oh yeah oh yeah tell the difference in that one oh yeah that's that went from like a seven to a ten yeah yeah that's that's that's as bad as it gets i'd say he's officially a part of the risk breakers club that's like rocky balboa just hits you right in the hand well you got the the rough stuff out of the way yeah i you want to shoot something a little more fun it's not going to hurt you but this looks really intimidating but it's not okay this is more of a push and it's it's just fun that's hard man it's so heavy i know it's kind of hard that's what i was saying i've never even tried to hit anything at distance standing so uh if you don't hit it it's okay it's a really awkward gun were you aiming for the silhouette yeah you got pretty close that was just a little high you got two rounds left you got one more round you'll get it it's it's it's holding that weight is the hardest part it's just tiring to hold that out like that granger was really close standing and i guarantee him that he could hit that target with the rest because this isn't really meant for anything really but definitely not meant for standing shooting uh at 100 yards so we are going to set him up with a rest here okay all right yeah i told you you'd hit it with the rest all right well you've went through all my handguns that i brought um i do have one more thing if you want to shoot it i brought the elephant let's do it man okay so this isn't a hand cannon i guess maybe you should call it a shoulder breaker i don't know that's right this is a 458 lot and this is like for safari hunting and it kicks really hard and everyone really seems to enjoy it i guess because it kicks so hard so for up board i brought that for you too yeah man absolutely so it's a bolt-action gun it feels very normal right not normal if you picked it up you would be like oh it's just like a 30 odd six right yeah and then you open that action and you're like that's a really long big action all right um i say we give you like three rounds yeah okay yeah it's internal fed magazine okay okay i'm gonna let you loaded in there and everything okay sounds good it's empty right now you're a lefty i'm a lefty i always shoot right-handed bullet action oh do you i've never shot a left-handed both really yeah and what i dominate are you left-eye dominant okay but it makes sense to me because i could i could potentially never take my finger off a trigger right as i'm reloading the bolt yeah so for uh hog hunting trying to drop a deer yeah it works out nice to keep hunger on the trigger that's really interesting yeah so we going down oh i'd say stand when we stand yeah you're it it's gonna hurt worse if you squat okay you got you got some give right now let's do this sucker [ __ ] there we go [Music] you got two more in there washing machine yeah you nailed it oh that third one i was like okay it
