One of the things you're going to want in Power World is an absolutely fantastic base, one that is beautiful and yet doesn't cripple you later in the game. To simplify it, raid security and endgame resource acquisition. The reason why these things are so important is they are the inevitable truth that you'll eventually have to face. What I mean by that is, for instance, raid security. Do you know how hard raids get as you level up? Enemies start having bazookas, tons of different types. You might be able to knock them dead right now, but I promise you, as you level up your base and your character, they get much, much harder. So it's really important to not set up your base on a flat plane where every enemy can just bulrush you at any possible location. It's much better to have them funnel in at a designated location, at least from two or one routes. So you can set up defenses on those routes or just nix them all together. Although I don't know how long that's going to be a thing that we can do that for. Totally see the designers eventually putting in aerial raids. Anyways, and this second thing, the number one reason why you're probably gonna have to move shop is endgame resource acquisition. If you have any ambition to play the endgame of this game, you're going to need endgame resources. And those resources can be made easy by setting up your base at really high value locations for resources. Please, please do not make the mistake of being stubborn and setting up your shop, having invested so much in it, and then realizing that you're working at 2% of the speed that everyone else is, and you're being left behind. And it's just kind of a mess. Don't do that. Again, I'm here to tell you, you can have it all you can have a place that looks goddamn so wonderfully gorgeous and swamped with resources like you wouldn't believe. So before we get into the base, here's some things I wish I knew when I was learning all this. First of all, you can have up to three bases in Power World, the first base you get right off the hop, but the second base is given to you when you reach base level, not your character's level, your base level up level to five. That gives you your second base. Your third base is then given to you at level 15. And you cannot get to level 15 until you are level 35 or so it's around level 35. You unlock the final upgrade thing that you have to place in your base in order to get the check to level up your base. It's weird, but that's how it is. You have to get to level 35 in order to get your access to your third base. One last thing I wish I knew about my bases, you can set up your base without you necessarily being rated constantly at that location. I think it works on how much you have invested in that location. That becomes a high priority target for you to be rated. I'd also be storing items because that's how raids work. People try to get to your items, take them away from you and store them off. That's why it's important to kill things and again, not to get rated. So you're losing your resources at your farming, but you can set up your shop and just leave it and also have an amazing teleportation location. Awesome. Super good, especially for places that don't have a teleportation point. The last thing to note is that some of these locations are unradable because the only way for you to get to them is to fly to them, which is pretty chill. As long as you can teleport to your base, it's pretty easy to get to it. But that also means in order to get to the base, you need to have unlocked a bird, which the first flying mount that you can get access to is around level 15. It's like a bird thing. Probably already have a flying map, but it starts right out there for people who are brand new. All right, finally, let's get into the locations and why they're so damn good. The first base I'm happy to say that I actually found I am I'm surprised I happened upon it. It had everything that I wanted, especially when it comes to layout. It is located here on the map. It's a straight shot right out the beginner area. And this location to me at least has it all it has probably the highest density of trees and or that you're going to ever need. And the structure of it is just flat enough and just malleable enough to where you can actually get a lot a lot out of this whilst maintaining freakish beauty. The fact that it's not on this weird plane, it kind of dips into a lower kind of crevice where you can put your ranch, which looks beautiful, and your breeding pen and all that kind of stuff. It's one of the more aesthetic places I think, especially with the red autumn dude, I love the look of it so much. And as far as rating safety is concerned, it's actually pretty good. There's only two routes that usually enemies ever come at you from easy routes that you can just block with some stone walls. And one of the best defenses for raids is just having a stone wall thick enough to where you can run around with your mount and then just spam aoe abilities because they all jump up in a cluster anyway. But if there was a weakness, it'd probably be the defense there is still two locations instead of one or none to defend. So there is that I adore this base. But I will say it really, really makes me want the devs to give us just one more base to be able to set up. The reason why is because there is an argument to not use this base because it is right near a teleportation point. So this massive cluster of trees and rocks can be accessed just by you teleporting to this teleportation point, and then you just get access to the rocks, unlike it being in the middle of nowhere, and you have to fly to him. So there is one notch against this base, not because it's not good, but just because you can get to it pretty easily because it's right beside a teleportation point to fast travel point, I mean, but the red autumn man, it's just so beautiful anyways, next next base. This next location is probably the one that you're gonna set up shop in because who doesn't love this golden autumn color. This map I first learned about from a lovely creator called Moxie, big from the Borderlands community, great content all around. But this location has like perfectly flat ground, which makes it so that it's really easy for your AI to path around, which is really valuable, especially at end game when you're trying to get these systems going at 100%. Not only that, but its defense is actually extremely good as well. They only really come from this upper mountain here in which you can wall off. So I'm trying to show you guys with me holding up this wall. And if you just put down a bunch of foundations, AI tends to get jumbled anyway. And you can just equip a lot of aoe abilities, and you'll be right as rain. But this is exactly what you're looking for when it comes to defense, not necessarily unpenetrable, but you can still funnel enemies in and then do mass aoe hits to just nuke them. And as far as resources go, this is one of the reasons why most people love and adore this location so much. There is an iron ore cluster as well as plenty of surrounding trees. So you should be able to be fully taken care of as far as your basic and kind of more end game resources as well. But the fact that things are segregated to one area just being full of rocks and then the other area just being perfectly flat for whatever you want to do is almost perfect. With the one slight issue being of course the defense of the area, which honestly I think is already pretty good. So definitely one that most all of us are going to go to eventually. This one is a little tricky. It doesn't look particularly fantastic. Although first of all, it wins completely when it comes to resources around you have access to coal, which you're going to need desperately at end game as well as ingots iron or essentially and trees galore. In fact, the trees are the thing that's kind of getting in the way. So you want to chop some of those down and put down a platform. The other issue is the fact that the just ground is really, really gross. But I promise you, it's not that bad, especially when you really dig in to the base building mechanics. But not only that you also have a tree that someone's with skill fruit. Just go right down. Don't fly back up. Just go to the teleporter. If you're that far down, it takes way longer to ascend. Anywho, but the real cell of this location, it's 10 out of 10 is because it is all the way up at a top of a mountain top that is almost unreachable from any enemy. Essentially, it's almost impossible to be rated successfully in this camp. Granted, they also can't get to you so you don't get to resources either, which is why there could be an argument the one we just showed being a little bit better. And I'd be willing to wager that the developers are eventually going to add an aerial raid, aka birds or whatever that are going to eventually find a way to this location because the devs want you to most likely invest in their catapults and their overall weaponry that defends your base, right? Kind of makes sense. But again, advice for this location, put down foundation where you can and I would highly advise you put down all of the foundation that you could want sooner rather than later. Because when you put down your foundation, you'll realize that oh, I can't keep building outwards because foundation needs you to touch the ground. And if I build it at the highest point, then things oftentimes can't reach said point. So it's weird, you almost want to build it below the peak. Like right now I'm actually showing you guys I messed up, I actually built it way too high, I have to go back and do it lower because in order for me to have as much flat ground as possible, it has to be able to touch the ground and you can't stack two foundations on top of each other, which would be really convenient, you cannot. So yeah, you got to got to work in this weird system, I'm assuming they'll eventually upgrade the buildings. So if you are five months in the future, you're probably okay, the building has likely been fixed, things crossed it soon, but that's just something to consider at least right now. But all in all, definitely a location that you should at least consider when it comes just for the pure resource gain that you'll get. Also quick, quick fourth one, I just probably not gonna I'm here, here, this one, I love it to bits thing looks really cool. Not exactly the flattest ground, but a ton of cold ton of iron. And also read, write literally right beside a skill tree, which looks beautiful, it glows at night, aesthetic as hell in that regard. And it's flat enough to where you could still build platforms and have them all uniformly flat, which is pretty sick. Lastly, you also have this beautiful mountain off in the distance. And overall, this has a nice peaceful vibe. This is in the bamboo area of the world. So of the map, so you might just fall in love with that. And ladies, yes, just quickly, bonus one up. And lastly, these two locations, which are amazing, honorable mentions, which are fantastic, they actually have really good resources that are end game based resources. But like you guys can see, both of these locations that you have to pick from are really, really good, but you only have access to three bases. So there's a little bit of conundrum here that I want to talk to you guys about at the very end of the video. So here's the problem. Yes, you have three bases, you can plop down. Awesome, I really hope the devs again, give us four, because that would just solve our problem. But right now, you have a choice between this location, this location, this location, or even these two locations, which are equally as good granted, you have to wear certain clothing to exist in them. But by placing down your third base, you lose access to a infinite teleportation point at any point on the map. And that's a tough sell. That's where I think it's probably beneficial for you guys to have two bases and not three using the third base is kind of a teleportation point to jump to certain locations that are really high value for what you need at the time. That's the trickiness of all that. Now, first of all, some of you guys may be like, well, wait, Grant, don't I have to build up the right manufacturing and all that stuff to actually be able to dip into some of those resources? Actually, no. One of the cool strats that exists within this game is this massive shell like creature. Now, when you level up enough, this is the one you get access to its special ability, this ability allows you to throw him at a rock, which these are all the endgame resources are rocks, you throw him at this rock, you activate his special ability, and he starts spinning like crazy more than normal and just destroying and harvesting a rock in like seconds, where normally it takes still hours and hours for them to completely deplete a rock. Now, that's good. But eventually the thing is going to go on cooldown, and that little spike of power is going to be gone, right? Well, not so right. Actually, if you take your Pokemon, take him out of your inventory, and then put him back in like I'm doing right now, it resets the cooldown. And you can only do this when you're near one of your bases, because that's how you trade out pals. So this is essentially a really good resource farm, go to the location, put down your third base, get your rock monster, throw the rocks, blend all the rocks till it's done. When the cooldowns gone, swap them in and out, it resets the cooldown go again and again and again. That's a really good way to farm, at least right now. Who knows if they'll patch it? Look in the comments if they did. If you want to be as optimal as humanly possible, I think you would choose this as your base and this as your base, you'll definitely be good with iron, you could be good with coal as well. And of course, you can go to these two locations to get the rest. Granted, I don't know if you really need to go to the fire location on the map. The reason why is because if you go to this location right beside the tower, it is literally filled with things like sulfur and also sulfur is not nearly as heddlism heavy as ore or ingots. So you can just kind of be okay with that as well. But ladies and gentlemen, we're getting a little rambly. Point is if you want to solve for just go here, I think you should only really need to step shop in the winter area because this resource is kind of a pain to get. But ladies and gentlemen, hopefully that makes sense. Hopefully I can see you once again. And let me know if there's any God tier based I definitely need to make a follow up video of because maybe there's a base that literally has it all and all you really need is to have whatever base you want and the base that's OP that has all the resources and you'll be good to go. But right now I think if you really want to hyper jump your progression, you definitely want to use the rock monster and keep cool down resetting him and even using the grapple hook to travel if you're a little over encumbered. Although you can put down a box and it's not going to cause you to get rated 20 times or anything like that. Really hope they give us a fourth base so that we can literally have it all have the three bases that do a lot and then have the fourth base that can kind of get us to where we want to be. Hopefully you guys enjoy the rest of your day. We stream this game in ungodly amounts. I'll be playing it for probably months and months and months in the future. So hopefully you're ready for that ride. Thank you once again and goodbye my friends.
