Baldur's Gate 3: WASD Movement, Enhanced Camera & UI Mods + Install Tutorial

hey guys Luke here with a quick video I just had to make a video showcasing these mods they are camera mods as well as UI mods and wasd movement so with that combination I can sort of play this game in an entirely new way as you can see I'm like freely running around as us the character has the brain and it seamlessly works it's really intuitive like there's no issues I've had so far but playing around with it I can just hover over the original elements to show them that way if I need to use them and there's also the tweaks to the regular menus let me get on my original character they're more simplistic or at least feel that way maybe I'm wrong but they just look a little more simple and the the movement is just it's so interesting to play it this way like it's an entirely new experience almost all together I do kind of find the original camera to be kind of annoying at times like it gets locked on stuff it gets funny but this one's entirely unlocked like you can control it however you want you don't clip on the wall when you move through it if you want to look through it you just go closer go far away and it also works in combat which I also like so maybe I can get us to a combat scenario I'll skip ahead so you guys can see combat and now I have Shadow heart I can show you guys some combat to the sphincter and here we have combat as you can see the camera is completely unlocked you can go wherever you want zoom in on whatever you want and just sort of do whatever you want the camera is just so much better Whole New Perspective really interesting I figured I'd share it with you guys and I guess I'll go ahead and show you guys how to install it on the next part of the video and now I'm going to show you guys how to install the mods before we begin I recommend backing up your game files you can find them in your steam Steam app common Baldur's Gate 3 if you're on Steam and I also recommend turning off automatic updates because if the game updates the mods will no longer work and with that said you can go to Nexus mods to get the mods all the mod links will be down below in the description the first one we need is native mod loader and to get this one go to files and manual download I'm going to show the manual download method go ahead and extract the files a folder will pop up that has a bin go ahead and cut these two out and then place it in your Steam app common Baldur's Gate 3 bin and if this pops up just go ahead and hit replace and that's that mod installed now we can go ahead and install the immersive UI here and to get this one go to manual download just like the other and extract it and it'll give you a file called public go ahead and cut that and put it in your Baldur's Gate 3 data folder right here and that's the UI installed I have a personal way I like to have the UI to where the minimap's always showing and if you would like it that way as well you can get the contextual mini map buttons file here and the contextual minimap mod I'll go ahead and put that in the description too but this one's entirely optional you can skip this part if you'd like go ahead and extract it the same way you did the other two and then you'll go into the widgets folder inside of what you just extracted and get the minimap file and now we can go back to here go into bin or go into your data file rather public game and then all the way to widgets and replace the other minimap file and now we should have a always showing minimap and then we can go get the camera tweaks this lets you Pan the camera in any way and unlock it make it nice so go ahead and get the files manual download extract it and in the bin file you'll find a native mods folder go ahead and cut that and then paste it in your bin folder and then inside of here you'll find your your little files and then you'll need to paste two more that have the wasd character movement this lets it to where you can move around with wasd it's really nice as well go ahead and download and extract it just like we did the other ones and in that bin file you'll find a file called sdl2 and it tells you in the description where to put it you can go ahead and put it in your bin folder and then there's two more files that you got with it one second I have like 500 files open here we are and there's two other files you get with it and you'll cut them out and put them in your native mods folder as well and that should be all the mods installed I'm going to go ahead and load the game and see if we got them installed correctly if this thing pops up that says data mismatches is completely normal this always pops up if you have mods installed now I'm loading up and it looks like the mods were correctly installed I can pan however I'd like move around with wasd
