Ark: Survival Ascended - Our 8 Favorite Console Commands and Cheats

[Music] Ark survival ascended just released in Early Access and you know what players love cheat codes if you're playing on PC and just want to skip to the good stuff we've got you [Music] covered to start make sure that console access is set to on in the settings menu and on PC hit the TIY key to bring up the console commands menu while in game here's where you'll type in your cheats directly a quick note these methods for entering console commands only apply to single player mode or private servers now that you're set up here's the fun part in the command bar you can type in a ton of prompts which you can browse through by simply starting to type something it'll automatically complete the command for you these are the eight that we found the most useful but you can find a full list over at ign.com wikies god mode is usually a good starting code to enter while you fly around the map and fight dinosaurs to turn it on just type God so you won't have to worry about fall damage or any other ailments as you get your character set up just the way you want experience points are how you unlock craftable items in Arc so you'll want a ton of them to quickly level up just type this command if you look at the auto complete while entering this command it will tell you what each number means the first number in this string is the amount of experience you're granting the 50,000 the second two numbers the zero and the one have to do with sharing that experience with your tribe and can only be set to false or true or zero or one respectively since they're Boolean values for all your binary code nerds out there for now since I'm an inherently selfish person I just have it set to excluding my tribe from the equation also no one wants to play with me just know that you can type this string in the console get really strong and really rich and then just buy all the friends you want hello dinosaur will you be my friend thank you good talk you can also add experience to your favorite dinosaur maybe one that's not trying to kill you by entering this string while writing it ever want to get from point A to point B in a Flash why not simply fly there by typing fly you will enter flight mode and be able to quickly go from one end of the map to the other once you'd like to walk again just type walk to once again walk across the land like a boring normal person this is a great cheat if you start in a spawn you don't like and just want to get somewhere with a bit better view or loot if you just want a Ted dinosaur to ride across the map and I don't want to talk to you if you're not into that just use the code GM summon to spawn in the dinosaur of your choice for example this string of text will spawn a tamed Raptor for you to go on a little ride with another example would be to use this command to spawn a set of tier three dinosaur SS fully equipped with saddles so you can pick one and head to the next [Music] location the code infinite stats will make it so you never need to worry about food water weight or stamina again enter it should you not want to worry about being pinged with reminders to eat also if you only want to do one of these feel free to enter infinite weight very fitting for Thanksgiving month to never need to worry about carrying capacity sure you could walk around in your undies but that's how you get sent to jail how about some easy armor instead use the code to give armor set or give weapon set to get any armor the game has to offer I tried out the tech set by entering give armor set tech 20 and give weapon set tech 20 to see what the fancy armor and weapon sets were all about but you can enter any set of armor and then set the quality to what you wish basically this does exactly what it says anything and your crosshairs instantly dies if you simply type the word kill while looking at it sorry little buddy G this feels bad if you want to Blink something out of existence rather than leave a corpse use the destroy my target command instead huh somehow this feels worse if you want to focus just on creation and not worry about survival the command give creative mode will automatically enable flying give you the admin blink rifle with a capability of teleporting inspecting and killing anything in one shot and disable most if not all crafting restrictions no more prehistoric anxiety craft to your heart's content and that's the quick and dirty on how to get started with cheats and console commands in Arc survival ascended the forming of civilizations and Taming of dinosaurs is only now getting started so make sure to check out the IGN wiki for our growing guide and for everything else gaming keep it right here on IGN
