Am I an empath?

i recently discovered something about myself something that is surprising to a lot of people but it turns out that i am what they call an empath i know you're surprised given all the videos of you know dogs being eaten by crocodiles and animals being punted by cars you would think i lack empathy but nope surprise this guy an empath i want to preface though being an empath is not just any normal thing it's kind of like you have a sixth sense you know you might be an empath as well and if you're not sure i can help you figure that out right now matter of fact this article from healthline uh the number one thing about empaths is they have a lot of empathy now there are other qualities like you have a hard time not caring an empath doesn't just feel for someone they feel with someone you know you really absorb what people are feeling around you another good one is you have a high sensitivity to sounds smells or sensations so if you've ever smelt someone fart you're an empath man congratulations then there are these other qualities like you often feel like you don't fit in you tend to isolate you sometimes find it tough to cope with sensory and emotional overload like i said spider-man without the cool parts just being a loser i'm kidding but really i had my production assistant dig up some tech talks in pairs and i want to see between the two which one i have more empathy for and it's kind of like a made-up empathy quiz to see what i care more about between the two you know as an example we might show two videos like i don't know a kid trying to jump over 12 stairs on a razor scooter and almost landing the trick and being really frustrated and then the other video might be i don't know a cat being eaten by a crocodile and we all know how i feel about animals getting eaten um that's just nature man so get back up on that scooter and land that trick buddy i'm i'm rooting for you so let's get into these video pairings let's see if we can't analyze my empathy a little bit and maybe you'll analyze your empathy a little bit and maybe you might be on my side of things more than you expect in which case you'd be okay because you'd still be an empath right all right let's get into it now each set of these videos is going to share a theme so the theme of this first round is meeting your replacement which i'm very excited to see what that means you know maybe uh maybe in this case i do feel for soldier coming home when you've had the worst week but you finally get a bit lucky oh okay i say that because i see a playstation and i'm already impressed i want to cry with him right here it got delivered while you're out oh look at that look at that now you know ruined this moment if she said she was pregnant i'm kidding i'm kidding might ruin it for me on the surface you could say i'm juvenile maybe that you know a kid seeing his father for the first time in however many months versus a dude getting a playstation how could i favor the playstation but to be fair the ps5 reminds me of moments that elena and i have shared where maybe i bought something for myself or she bought something from me and uh something that i was really working towards um and so that's why i think i connect with that one better but i do connect with the first video not in the way of missing my father but um i've definitely punched him in the nuts because i thought that was funny but if i had to vote i'm going ps5 round number three healing inner children which i have no clue what that means so maybe i'll be surprised here oh video unavailable pour one out let's see if this one today was a good day [Music] today was a good day you know i didn't have anything to compare it to but judging by this video as an empath i'm sensing the vibes are good in this video this woman seems to be enjoying herself i think i can gather that which no one else in the room really seems to be able to pick up on the person who filmed this isn't even focused on it they put a bunch of text on the situation so clearly they're not in tune with it as i am um that being said i i did connect with this i think this is actually a very endearing um this makes me a you were to lose it it's your whole personality down the drain you know every friday saturday sunday you're hanging out in parking lots with other guys that are there to show their you know four thousand dollar car and what do you do once you don't have the car to do that it's devastating i'm gonna pick the srt4 video and i know i know i know i know how that looks but it's just as an empath i have that higher sensitivity to smell and sensations and i can smell this scene i can smell how bad it is so round number five this is titled crying husbands oh boy [Music] oh my god man a song that features abercrombie clothes and 15 pairs of shoes as a line and that's what kills you in your live laugh love temple watching baseball i'm sorry man it's just funny to me it's funny by the way i don't listen to country music if you do this singer dropping abercrombie is that like when rappers reference amiri you know or designer is that what they do in the country world they reference dying brands like american eagle and perhaps aeropostale you know i'm curious i'll watch the other video but i already can say i can't connect to this holding a white baby and crying to country music while watching baseball i'm struggling with that one personally i am but let's give the second crying husband a chance yeah see [Laughter] [Applause] get the [ __ ] out of here you [ __ ] oh man oh man this [ __ ] is so palpable you heard his voice right there he's hurt so far a moment with a child versus a moment with a gaming related item kids are losing in my camp and again that's as an empath i can i have a higher sensitivity to smell and i can smell those kids and they stink you ever been to a kindergarten class kindergarten has a smell if i sold a spray that was scented as kindergarten you could easily replace fart sprays around the world with that smell it just it stinks you know it smells like dirt and crafts it's just that's why the kids are kind of losing out for me you know next on the subject of kids here's a good one you're a dad why did you get such a big bag are you serious right now i'm so serious shut the [ __ ] up yeah i took them to look at they're in there i took them like as soon as i got off work you're telling me i'm going to be yeah are you excited shut up dude i didn't have a box so stay further than that oh wait this can't be real i know i'm gonna save my commentary let's go to video number two asking my stepdad to adopt me after 13 years my mom had no idea tear the box i don't even have to read it damn can i say neither no uh i'm feeling for the adoption a little bit more in this scenario having a kid is special but i'm gonna vote adoption because that's just a much more complex thing and i think between the two the other guy and his lady you know they tried he you know he went raw several times and they were able to make that connection bam but this adoption one just feels a little bit more special to me as an observer now at this point in the video some of you may be realizing you may in fact be an empath which means you're familiar with the feeling of feeling left out so this next round is related to that feeling left out your fave little boy just can't act right when dad locks you out but keeps bentley with him during a work call because you don't know how to act [Music] that's sad poor guy you know the dog doesn't even know what he's doing uh let's see what this other video is i always feel left out jk they love me right i stopped walking to see how long it takes for my friends to notice [Music] i'm voting the dog already i'm voting the dog okay i don't even feel for this scenario at all for a number of reasons one you're in a group of five okay it's clearly two couples and then you you were already the fifth wheel okay you signed up for that you can't volunteer to be rudolph and then complain that you're alone okay you chose to do that red nose also parents lose their kids in these scenarios with less people parents lose their kids one-on-one all right so i don't feel for you in this scenario and i'm not sorry about it and i feel more for the dog all right this next set is called accidental flushes and i'm really curious to know what that means my fish was dead for a full 24 hours and decided to resurrect the moment [Music] [Laughter] that's not funny that's not funny they should have consulted almost seemed to be a layer of regret when she's like oh he's swimming around like they were both hoping it was dead and the kid says what do we do now you know the whole time he's you know projecting in his mind mom do it mom do it mom do it you know that scream he let out it didn't it was just sort of like a ah oh no oh no that was that kind of vibe but the other one is there's real pain there there's that final frame of that girl crying and it pans up she's like not even 0.25 seconds it's not funny it's not funny speaking of going a hill why don't we just close it out with this round which is themed save the spot [Music] that's hilarious her corpse is lying there and she's just for the last hundred years this is a nice metaphor for some of your tinder accounts video number two first christmas without my mom [Music] this is sad but as i always say this specific moment relies on the music and i can't do the benny hill theme because the last time i parodied it even just acapella i got a copyright strike so um if you can imagine like a scooby-doo chase song or a carnival theme song playing while this is in front it's funny it's not you don't feel anything so um i feel for the for the dead woman who's been waiting for a hundred years for someone to lay down next to her i can only assume she has a husband who took uh till death do us part very seriously she died and he's
