All 38 SPIDER-MAN Suits Explained (Marvel)

hello friends and welcome back to another episode of generation films my name is American Ben listen I know why you're here and you know I am here let's skip the small talk you're interested in cool spider-man suits not some guy who looks like Legolas is homeless unshowered brother in the run-up to Avengers endgame we just covered all of Iron Man's MCU suits Spider Man is going to be a bit more complicated because the suits used aren't as well demarcated or organized nor are there that many different suits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so what we are going to do today is cover all of spider-man's suits that at least have a basis in the comics as a note we are going to include all of Spidey's forms that give him different abilities such as spider lizard or man spider we are only focusing on suits specifically and we also aren't including the suits of spider-man type characters like spider Gwen or silk just spider-man before we begin I ask that if you enjoy the video that you please give our channel a like and subscribe first we have to give a mention to Peter Parker street outfits in almost every spider-man storyline the titular hero wears some sort of cheap getup which he makes soon after gaining his powers in order to hide his identity while fighting low-level street crime or making some quick cash dispatching underground wrestlers after that we have the classic traditional red and blue suit that debuted an amazing fantasy number 15 now there are tons of variations on this suit throughout the spider-man universe of comics shows and movies we're not gonna be able to talk about them all in this video that said the classic suit sets the basis for all of Spidey suits it's made from a skin-tight spandex like cloth and features red gloves boots midsection and mask all with a web pattern running throughout and a black spider in the center of the chest area and a larger red spider on the back the mask has plastic lenses with a chrome covering that protect Peters eyes and allow him to see out without letting other people see in the mask also muffles his voice which helps to hide his identity on his wrists he wears a twin set of web-shooters under the gloves and he also wears a web cartridge belt under the suit the tobey maguire sam raimi version of the suit had more pronounced black webbing than usual and Andrew our fields version was significant for adding a more sneaker like boot the Tom Holland version of the suit and spider-man homecoming we can actually consider to be a whole different type of suit as it takes a step up from the other classic red and blue suits adding an artificial intelligence system a heads-up display embedded in the eye lenses a reconnaissance drone a parachute and retractable wingsuit components goddamn I love you Tony Stark next is the ultimate spider-man suit mostly another new take on the classic suit but swaps out blue for black this suit was given to spider-man Miles Morales by shield miles has some awesome abilities such as bioelectric Kinesis but his suit itself only introduces cosmetic changes really next we have this symbiotic first seen an amazing spider-man number 252 spider-man's original suit combines with an alien symbiote to create the black suit the suit can respond to spider-man's thoughts change its shape and create unlimited organic webbing the suit only weaknesses are loud sound waves and intense heat but has the small downside of making spider-man do evil things unconsciously this shirt of mine makes me do the same thing just like all my shirts the next type of suit related to the symbiote suit is the black cloth suit this suit was made for spider-man by his girlfriend the black cat as a non-living black suit after the symbiote suit was removed this suit doesn't offer the same advantages as the symbiosis ooh after all it's not alive but it still provides spider-man with more stealth capability at night than the red and blue one does next up we have the ultimate symbiotic first appearing an ultimate spider-man number 34 this suit enhances Peter Parker's strength allows for mental webbing generation and makes him immune to bullets however the suit also makes him overly violent next spider-man's clone Ben Riley has his own version of the red and blue suit first seen in sensational spider-man number zero this version features mostly cosmetic changes introducing a different design for the boots and gloves however then Riley eventually became the Scarlet Spider first seen in web of Spiderman number 118 The Scarlet Spider suit features scarlet tights worn under a blue cutoff jacket oversized web-shooters and a visible bed Marvel purposely made the look overdramatic and expected it to be short-lived but it was such a popular look they continued the storyline next we have the electro proof suit first appearing an amazing spider-man number 425 this is a rubber insulated suit that spider-man builds in order to protect himself from Electro's boosted powers the suit can absorb heat from electric blasts it isn't a perfect solution but it is probably better than the rubber air-mattress suit he uses to fight electro and spectacular spider-man number 66 that was fashioned from an air mattress next up we have the captain universe Spidey suit or cosmic spider-man suit this suit first appeared an amazing spider-man number 329 the suit came to be when Spiderman was granted the UNEP hour an extra dimensional force that has possessed many heroes in the Marvel Universe this suit / form gives spider-man even more enhanced senses strength speed flight and even limited telekinesis next we have the bombastic Bag Man suit first appearing an amazing spider-man number 258 when Spiderman finally removes his symbiote suit he has to wear an old Fantastic Four costume with a paper bag mask in order to preserve his secret identity Peter also was stuck without a suit or at least a full suit in the ultimate spider-man comic arc and the temp spider-man costume was born basically a half done spider-man suit next up we have the spider armor when the new enforcers a super villain team attacked New York using high-caliber firearms spider-man creates this armored suit composed of a pseudo metallic compound after the mark 1 version was destroyed by acid Peter created the mark 2 version also known as the bulletproof spider-man suit which features magnetic webbing which blocks out all radio frequencies then came the mark 3 also known as the ends of the earth armor which features a customized helmet equipped with advanced communication in hearing technology and technopathic abilities the suit is also equipped with jet boosters allowing spider-man to fly is electro proof and has a holographic visor designed to see-through Mysterio's Holograms and illusions the mark 4 then is by far the most capable suit perhaps in all of spider-man history it features an endless array of tech and abilities such as the heads up display with x-ray and infrared vision and all sorts of detection capabilities web wear that enables the suit to shoot out tracers and project Holograms sonic disruptors acid webbing quick dry concrete webbing spider drones temperature control stealth camo technology poison antidotes and an emergency beacon as the suit features multiple variants of webbing its web cartridges can be switched using voice commands and include a stronger version of the standard web fluid that's even able to block Iron Man's repulsor beams this suit is so strong it can withstand attacks from the legendary zodiac key and can knock back Hyperion with a single punch this is one of spider-man's most powerful suits and can perhaps even be labeled his god armor next up we have the iron spider armor first appearing an amazing spider-man number 529 this suit was created for Peter by Tony Stark and features similar technology to that of the Iron Man suit the main difference being that the Spider Man suit is more mesh than metal the iron spider armor features radio transmission scanners and receivers biological sensors multiple vision settings bullet deflection technology and hand strength and even limited gliding capability the suit also has three retractable pseudo arms and can change its appearance at Peter's will next we have the four suits created by Peter Parker to hide his identity when he was framed for murder by Norman Osborn in the Trapster first up is ricochet suit first appearing an amazing spider-man number 434 this suit features special throwing discs stored in the sleeves which can bounce off of walls with incredible force then comes Hornets suit and sensational spider-man number 27 this suit features enhanced strength and a jet pack for flight in the shape of wings which adds to flight speed the suit also is equipped with sedative darts the third suit is dusk suit first appearing in spider-man number 91 this suit is adapted from spider-man's negative zone suit and allows him to blend into the shadows and fly just a quick aside the negative zone suit is a suit spider-man gains in the negative zone an alien universe made up of antimatter this white and black suit makes spider-man almost seem invisible anyway the fourth suit spider-man uses to clear his name from the murder charge is prodigy suit first appearing in spectacular spider-man number 257 this suit renders Peter bulletproof next we have the fear itself' suit which first appears in the comic fear itself number 7 this armor forged by Tony Stark and the dwarves of Nineveh Lear has mostly unknown abilities but is made using Roo a metal or unique to nineveh Lear that contains incredible damage resistant properties one other thing that we know about the suit is that it has two gauntlets which are equipped with blades that can be used for melee combat next up we have this stealth suit first appearing an amazing spider-man number 60 this suit warps light and sound around it making it invisible another stealth suit is the secret war suit first appearing in secret war volume 1 number 1 this suit however can discharge amplified EMP build-up to stun enemies and disable their weapons next is the Future Foundation suit first appearing in Fantastic Four number 1 the suit is constructed with unstable molecules allowing it to repair itself change its appearance and never get dirty some suits give spider-man x-ray vision and cloaking tech others save him money on laundry next we have the spider-carnage outfit a product of the carnage symbiote attaching itself to a rage-filled Peter Parker spider-man this suit seen in the comics perhaps most notably an amazing spider-man volume 1 number 410 as Ben Riley has all of the abilities of the carnage symbiote and as such can create weapons with his hands extend his limbs and produce tendrils he can also morph the symbiote to appears his old costume next we have the spider-man 2099 suit first appearing an amazing spider-man number 365 Miguel O'Hara the spider-man of the year 2099 wears this suit featuring mostly blue throughout the suit is made of an unstable molecule fabric that can resist tearing and also features a light airfoil on its back made of a web-like material called light bite this foil emits a low concentration of anti-gravity particles that allow O'Hara to glide on currents of air next we have the quote all-new all-different spider-man 2099 suit that first appeared in spider-man 2099 volume 3 number 1 this suit created for miguel by peter parker glows red and can change color this suits material is unstable molecules bonded to Kevlar to increase durability it has better integrated light bite material to improve gliding and thrusters built into the boots for launching off the ground the suit also has Spider saucer projectiles running down the sleeves and integrated into the gloves that are strong enough to destroy tanks the suit also has onboard sensors that allow spider-man to inspect the vicinity next up is the spider-man 22:11 suit first appearing in spider-man 2099 meets spider-man number one this suit features a mechanical helmet and four red mechanical arms similar to doctor octopus's next we have the spider ninja suit first appearing in the Marvel mangaverse and spider-man number one this suit features short sleeves and is fitted to spider-man for peak agility next is the superior spider-man suit first appearing an amazing spider-man number 700 this suit comes about when Doctor Octopus switches bodies with Peter Parker aside from cosmetic changes to the classic suit this costume features glass lenses on the mask with a heads-up display a built-in communication system that can activate nano spider tracers retractable claws integrated into the gloves and retractable talons built into the boots an upgraded version of the suit features spider arms on the back as well next is the spider-man unlimited suit first appearing in the comics in web spinners tales of spider-man volume 1 number 13 this suit features spider darts impact webbing sonic weapons and a wrist Morpher which utilizes nano technology allowing spider-man to change into his new suit in seconds there's also a few suits from spider-man into the spider verse that are also featured in the comics but don't really have any special tech or abilities first we have spider-man noir which is a stealth suit first appearing in spider-man noir number 1 and then we have Ezekiel Sims this spider-man outfit that first appears in edge of spider-verse number 5 and is actually based on an earlier spider-man suit itself and last on this list we have the advanced suit which appears mainly in the videogame marvel spider-man but is included here because it's a popular suit and a version of it is featured in the comic Peter Parker the spectacular spider-man and is seen briefly in the movie spider-man into the spider verse this suit features more sneaker like boots and each of the suits colors has a specific function the right part is made out of a thick reinforced material that provides enhanced protection the blue part adds flexibility and the white parts are carbon fiber designed to absorb heavy impacts who we get it again that is a brief explanation or so of all of Spider Man suits with a basis in the comics if I
