hey thank you I go to a doctor if you cut a heart like that hey guys welcome to took your creative play I'm your host Emma and today I'm here with the amazing the wonderful my fellow took your creative Rekha Shiori today we are going to do seven Japanese words that don't exist in English so I need your help in explaining these and yeah figuring them out so let's get started so first of all my English is not that great so I explain a lot of things but Emma will always support me Emma yes do you know Japanese before eat we always said something oh you have Joanna said together hi okay so before eat a meal say itadakimasu cuz we appreciate food and we are just eating something everyone did the best so that's why I was saying thank you for being food it's like a tobacco if the meaning is my like receive yes so I don't eat you could yeah yeah I'll do my best so if that is to receive basically so it's hard to find an explanation in English the best way I can think of it is kind of just appreciating the food and either the people who made the food or gave you the food also it can kind of be like saying in English maybe like amen I don't know but some people explain like that it's but that's more of a religious right and after finished eating you know what to say watch yourself a Malaysia because this one is also good so means its food cause you saw its food if you go so you can see so many Tama if we usually say it's like a respectful it's it's exactly the same meaning as itadakimasu it just way no time when you finish you'll say that yes I don't know how to fully explain but it's a pretty good explanation Kochi still somehow but I always say it to like a chef at the restaurant yeah if if they make the food as you say it to them I don't think it is things in Australia right not really well you've been here for two years no you you are saying this yes yeah or friends or colleagues or foreigner friends always say naturally because you guys already get used to say yeah even for a while he'll come to Japan please try to say it like you man good so uh what's the next one so Emma mm-hmm when you finish it shooting here and when you leave office you always said something to us yeah right oh it's karin-sama - ah I always say outskirt uh which means I'm tired so this is also pretty Japanese thing to say it's like thank you for your hard work and thank you for today's work kind of meeting yeah so instead of saying goodbye we are saying okay everyone today is the walk in Spanish let's go back but thank you for your work kind of yeah yeah so if if you're leaving work if someone else is leaving work you always say oh it's got ice on my dish so it's gotta somehow it's got it but I also hear it in other situations like at the hairdresser oh when I get my my hair done the hair just is always like it's got a solid edge that even though I just sat there and they did my hair but I guess because it takes a long time to do your hair yeah I'm sure yes so we it doesn't have to be the only the walking story it has a lot of meaning yeah I guess in time you working here yeah that's what scared anyone yeah oh here's another good one for work situations what's the next one okay this one we say all the time yeah yeah ice good we say this quite a lot of choice yeah yeah so you can save your school you're just gonna go see math it's really hard to explain it's like I've seen explanations that I like please take care of me so you you are providing something for someone else and you're like please you know one because I've never lived in other countries so anytime I want to say something in English I always said something in my head in Japanese right oh I said I want to use Yoshi cool yeah but I cannot find any on the words so I I go gray and it comes out thank you please take care of me yeah it's all weird I've seen in dictionaries if the translation is being like pleased to meet you oh you can say it in those kind of situations so for example if I go to like an audition or something you say you - good some point but you go in and you're meeting new people and you're gonna be working with them maybe in the future you say you - gonna go she must like who is a love expectation I think yeah yeah I think if it doesn't fully make sense once you've been in a Japanese scenario for a while it gradually yeah but it's quite hard to explain in English so this one also you can use Yoshi ku to anyone in Japan so the next one isn't so commonly used is it it's not many like an everyday thing but it is a word that I don't think we have a direct translation in English so comedy week this actually used to be my favorite Japanese blood because I was like oh this there's no translation at Sarat see here is the kanji tree making some tree leaking son you now leave yes you love nature yes yes just imagine walking on the forest mmm today is so sunshine shining and so many trees but on the low that you can see a lot of small nose small shadows which is called a B so could you experience yeah so it's just shapes that the leaves make on the ground with the shadows when the light is filtering through the leaves I yeah I'd read in English so am i you guys don't have this kind of specific scenery tuition explanation no we just don't have a word for it yeah it's nice that Japanese her therefore it's very sweet yeah very poetic yeah and there's another world I want the images and innovative features okay she mean you're coaching in yoga she name means forest I love forest sorry that's it five trees it's like three trees in the first kanji and then two trees in the second community so we got a lot of trees happening then together means for us that's right and the yogurt is bakery I cannot produce babies babies babies babe forest baby yes so this is similar to Kamala Devi situation mom we said something you cook it's always you enjoy the place appealing if you feel the poorest forced breathing is like just being one with nature maybe that's the best way to say it in English but going into the forest and enjoying all the experiences the sounds that the feeling of the air everything like that okay that's all I wanted to judges I think this one it has a lot variation Japanese Omaha no motto oh no matapedia every time I call me okay with all cocky creative people I stayed so many sound sound effect yeah yeah so onomatopoeia the word is the same sound that it makes like pitter-patter of the rain yeah I think I think that's a splash its proud when you're splash water that kind of thing it all sounds like the word so in Japanese there's a lot of them isn't there we usually I I mostly I guess for example who I plant you I said took shh shh I think if you play Street Fighter or those kind of game every time you punch in the game they say I don't think about I do because I want the front Chris O'Connell sometimes I get to pitch we have a low onomatopoeia for food I guess uncle pottery I whisper Parker is a big a better at the Mauri Mauri Mauri Mauri buddy like when you have big muscles no like you bulging memory money money take money money today yeah Moscow itself Wow tap it out Oh people say like if you speak really good I personally don't like the texture of never never it's a slimy kind of texture and I remember it because I never never want to eat it I know this hello foreigner living Japan for a long time they already use these words so often so they say I don't like neighbor neighbor food yeah cuz it's easier to say you never never been like I don't know slimy food it's like never never you know you know what foods were talking about we don't about not though it's not like okra okra and the pokey dokey the manga manga doki-doki yeah because they're your hobby hobby thing while while you guys say but um but um Bucky Becky's better but that's more real according to this kind of coma Toby's history this kind of word exists tsukumo castle a long time ago the Kuchiki that japanese most oldest book they always already use it because you can make your own make your own or two because some things maybe not exist yet cutting my nails like the child you know about other country has these kind of things yeah it's quite interesting yeah so if you have your own onomatopoeia all words that don't fully translate to english or to another language please leave it in the comments down below I would love to hear what kind of things you have in your country yeah well thank you so much for coming on the show Sione yay I'm glad you guys with me -
