300 Winchester Magnum Vs Level IV Engarde Body Armor!

[Music] everyone welcome back to the range got another body armor chest with on guards level for icw plate last time we hit this thing with some m2 AP and some five five six and only on the fifth shot of m2 AP it went through so I like to go above and beyond any kind of threat profiles for the what if so what you see in front of you today are some specialty loads these are in 300 Winchester Magnum this is 150 grain FMJ this is the m-80a one bullet and this is the m2 AP bullet we've used these two in the past against some threats I think we use this one in a sealed test so we're going to take a few shots against this level for today and see what's going to happen we use our clay briefcase as always we'll be at 45 feet and we use a pro/con pal chrono to get some velocity readings off these guys so we have the 150 grain FMJ loaded first we use this last time again steel and punched a hole clean through it at 333 feet per second we have the m2 AP and then we have the Mata one we'll try to take a shot with the first two rounds then check it out and then save the mata one for last since we haven't checked that before our test gun will be a Thompson contender compass the 24 inch barrel sporting our Phantom m2 suppressor [Applause] velocity was 33 41 now the m2 18 [Applause] 3152 while we're here we'll still take the shot with Mata ones for money 3463 [Music] [Applause] [Music] so we took all three shots we were dead on where I wanted to be so I figured we just take all three and come down here and talk about it this was the Full Metal Jacket this is the m2 AP and then this was the mata one what do you guys want to take some bets on there there's no pass through these back face though on those two rounds I mean this is like look at that The Full Metal Jacket really didn't do too much to that here's our blunt-force trama pad like I said the in conjunction plate really helps with back face deformation so when you guys see these holes that's that's pretty 150 grain one not too deep maybe an inch this one is approaching a couple inches right there that one in between the two but it stopped it that's pretty good alright I'm just kind of coming up with some random threats to throw against this plate I don't think these are going to go through these are lehigh defenses 79 grain close-quarter ammo it's got an aluminum tip there maybe the velocity has enough I don't know but we just threw some in the m1a here and we'll shoot them and see what's going to happen [Applause] thirty seven ninety eight thirty eight thirty one thirty eight oh nine I seem to be hitting the same part of the plate every time thirty eight twenty [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] we're not putting those shots almost close right on top of each other know how I have a habit doing that so this last one I made sure to put way down there and we're kind of on the edge there but there's no path a little bit of a dimple going on there but I didn't think they'd go through but I was like hey we'll test it anyways there's a little bit of back face down there not too much even more impressed and last time everybody we took our 300 Win Mag with our mata one poles and our M 2 AP pulls at well above the velocity rate of what level 4 is rated for and it stopped them obviously back faces there again this is an in conjunction plate so if you put a level 3a back around there you probably have less but I'm impressed I want to thank OnGuard body armor for providing us with these samples I will put their link in the description below I also have other links in my description that will help a channel out especially by more tie straps since I like to shoot them every time I do body armor tests I mean they're not cheap you know they're like a buck apiece as always thanks again for watching everybody until next time take it easy
