10-Year-Old Has Only 10 Minutes to ADOPT A PUPPY *Emotional*

we're looking for a puppy yeah that's a good photo don't you think I was kind of hoping I could surprise her today but I don't know if it's gonna happen daddy say hello everyone I'm in front of an animal adoption facility in New York my daughter is waiting for me inside what she knows is that we are going to shoot a 10-minute photo challenge what she doesn't know is that I'm also hoping to surprise her with a new pet ever since she could walk my daughter has had a stuffed animal with her everywhere eating sleeping even on the cover of my book and for the last several years she has been begging us to get a new dog she wants a small cuddly little dog that she can sleep with and take care of this week I got a letter from a fan kay-kay and she said that she is a huge huge huge dog lover and she has three dogs that she has adopted from rescue facilities in New York and that I should do the same thing and you are right because we are all at home perfect time to get to know a pet and to have a little companionship so here we are at North Shore Animal League America it is the world's largest nope rescue and adoption organization with shelter partners across the country to find a shelter in your area go to Animal League org okay now there's no guarantee that we're actually gonna find a pet for salish today but I did ask on Instagram if you wanted me to make a video about this and you said yes so let's see if we can turn my daughter's stuffed animal into a real animal okay everybody we are inside the facility we're about to walk in and do our 10-minute photo challenge whenever we go inside we need to put on a mask so put on our masks and let's go oh my god this little face look at that little face you excited I'm so excited there's so many cute animals here all right everyone I am in the rachael ray cat room at the North Shore Animal League America to see how many awesome shots I can get with my daughter and animals in ten minutes for the ten minute photo challenge Rachael is a counselor here she is going to be our timer today whenever you go adopt a pet you do get a counselor to help you find the right pet she's gonna do that for us today when I say ready buffy's okay let's see puppies here do you wanna take this guy yeah let's go get puppies home I like put your mask on we're looking for a puppy here we go I have no idea what they have here for nothing it's like a really cute little puppy it becomes a little dog you guys want to go in to meet the puppies yes yes we do for sure oh my gosh you've gotta be kidding me with how cute this is [Music] so say why don't you just get down in here and start playing with can she take her mask off in here yeah as long as she's over there that's fine oh okay which one is the sweetest one guy right here this guy right there oh okay all right why don't you hold that guy it's like snuggling and pet him like oh yes yes you like that stand up here and I want you to put your right leg on the thing you know that thing and then can you give her one puppy to like hold awesome awesome and then you get a dog in there and hold him nice and cute [Music] hahaha that looks really really good say could either fo you guys like that shot yeah that's a good photo don't you think I want all the puppies around sailors just feet you say saying it did it get that me okay get that mean nice hold it there guys you get you get in the ball pit just sit down in there so I'm getting distracted from our challenge okay I need my strap back please all right here we go and let's see if we can get any number of puppies in there with her are those gonna end up being big dogs they're all gonna be medium to large-sized hey say you know how you always wanted a little dog Wow yeah well these guys are little now but they're gonna be big one day so maybe one day we'll find you a little dog okay Oh oh my gosh that's so cute let me just get that picture I want this guy that's tickly is there a chance that we could give one of these jobs like a bad person yeah I think actually B is due for a bath anyway you want to give a talk about let's do it here say put on your mask for when we go to the next spot okay let's go this way Oh sick okay so can can she wash him with soap and water first a take off your shoes do you have an apron yeah just put that on you just want to maybe surprise sailesh with an actual dog okay but I think we're looking for something little so if you think of a little dog okay okay then just let us know okay yeah okay good Rachel can sailors take off her mask again for the photo uh yes how you doing young fun oh I want every animal at my home but that would be a little much you get down to bat there you go it's not in the gears rub them down a little bit we're gonna put some so Bunton okay perfect [Music] they said you want a couple can I take a photo of you with them hold him like facing your face okay and can you do a big hinge say right like that yes okey-dokey that was so okay big time hinge and good hinge yeah so cute so now we just have to rinse him off [Music] eventually you can step back and we can just get that shot hopefully just be talking to him Oh give me guy yeah wah-wah-wah-wah I notice they say hey you know he's gonna be a really big dog though so now we're gonna we're gonna dry him off okay take a towel wrap them up and just dry it off hold them oh that's too much life you can punch a pudding right here hold it shoulder down yes yes right there so you can look here yes yes that's it that's so cute that was adorable where else can we go um fine we got the big dog great do you wanna see a big dog say shoes your shoes and take off the apron I'm gonna pop them in a dryer yeah oh that's cute you go bud so Salish doesn't know anything about getting a dog look easy there's big dogs but if there's any small dogs okay it's a little sketchy around big dogs okay okay we're gonna run out can you watch the puppy thank you okay if you guys are loving these animals just remember these exact animals might not be available for adoption but these are the kind of animals you can find at a shelter near you this is a walk area this is where our adopters get to meet the dogs for the first time Oh is there a dog that we yeah please oh hi oh what a sweet puppy can sailors take her mask off for a photo that's mine what would you think about a dog like this no why is this not too too scary too big too much energy yeah okay do you want to do a photo with it okay you can do a photo okay if she holds these treats and just hold it out she'll take she'll take it from her Wacka ponche when I say so okay and go yes again go that's so cute go Oh hold on could you lay on the ground on your stomach make sure your legs are right your legs say yes oh that's gorgeous got it okay that's awesome okay let's move on say stay put your mask back on and sanitize your hand and I have a dog right here do you want to walk him outside nice I'm gonna put him on a ring to hold this tight right there bird is about five months old five month old so he's gonna get bigger - oh yeah yeah so he was rescued from a puppy mill a puppy mill and we rescued them and brought them here whenever we rescue and we bring animals here once they get adopted you're not saving one life you're saving two because you're saving the life of the animal that you're adopting and you're freeing up space for another animal to come and be rescued so you find a dog or a cat another animal you're saving two lives yes how big how people that don't pee oh he's gonna be like 80 pounds I was kind of hoping I could surprise her today but I don't know if it's gonna happen okay why don't you do a leap when you leap up and you kick your leg back hold that yeah there you go perfect right let's see if Bert Poppins - woof like he's supposed to here go go jump when he does that nope so maybe that's why we're not gonna get a big dog for Singlish yes you got this yes that's the one got it got it got it okay let's go on do you guys have an outdoor space where dogs roam roam free yes we have a dog park right in here we go right there yeah there's more dogs in here okay come on say hoping for a small dog how cute is this little orange guy I want you to grab him and then I want you to whack a tilt yes oh good again no oh gosh that was so good oh that was so cute oh my gosh say you could do faces guys so cute a he's so cute you know she's gonna be about 80 pounds say 80 pounds is about 65 pounds more than you can handle [Laughter] but you know what I actually have the perfect dog for you guys I put him aside and so surprised and I'm gonna bring you to the other part really yeah we've got 30 more seconds I have one more spot do you guys want to go let's go photo what's up with his dog he's he's available for adoption he was really sweet he's three years old he's been in a few homes so it's hard for him to get adopted so I've always thought if you try and adopt an adult right because puppies go quicker and that sort of thing absolutely once he finds his forever home and he's been given that name for the rest of his life he'll be a great dog it is No Name no name they say what do you think of this dog they say say what do you want to take him home with her I thought you might say that she might not need him anymore what do you think his name
