has been an absolute miracle in our 19 years history nothing like this has ever happened to us if you guys want to help four kids which is by the way a no-kill shelter like they genuinely care about There are a couple. Googling around, it's FurKids in Georgia, and one blurb from their blog is:
Furkids and SmallDog Rescue does not generally take in pit bulls, our foster homes and facility are geared toward small dogs;
This is really sweet imo. I think the second dog adopted out and the black ouppy maaay have been pitbull mixes, but it was refreshing to see such variety in a shelter and a relaxed adopting environment. I didn't get the impression of any particular dog pushing.
I'm shocked an actual bulldog was in there, they're not aggressive to my knowledge by the way. They're oddly an exception to the "bully" line from what I know about them, and it baffles me as to why. They're also considered practically a "luxury" breed because they are expensive as heck to breed.
I was thinking the same thing! And the variety of breeds in that shelter is something that I haven’t seen since the 90s. It’s ALL pit bulls now. Every other breed gets snatched up by a rescue.
