poured out on the pentecostals of moses city and today god as we give our first fruits god ask that you bless this church family in the name of jesus and everybody said amen [Music] you call the sun to rise and you lay it down to rest you hold this heart of mine and you hold by every breath [Music] such [Music] wonderful so generously [Music] [Music] the table listen for me for yourself [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] is [Music] [Music] is nothing comes close to the lord [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] is [Applause] [Music] nothing sweet jesus the son of god hung on a cross to die but not even death could hold you down for foreign [Applause] oh away [Music] is you've been faithful you've been faithful to me [Music] you pour your love on pour it off [Music] kindness us you're [Music] nothing comes close to god nothing comes close to you jesus and nothing comes close to your love god [Music] holy so generous [Music] [Applause] there's not a mountain too tall [Music] there's not a problem so small that jesus can't resolve in time you'll get involved it's our god he cares about us [Music] [Music] [Music] there's not a night to jesus will see you through he'll make you new this is our god he [Music] cares [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] the lord he never felt [Applause] [Music] right now [Music] me [Music] is [Music] [Music] [Music] is [Music] [Music] on you jesus i'm gonna wait on you jesus i'm gonna wait on you jesus i'm gonna wait on you jesus [Music] [Applause] [Music] i'm on the way [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] hallelujah [Music] oh i'm not turning back [Music] [Music] jesus [Music] turn it back down [Music] my [Music] my strength [Music] come on somebody [Music] like you've already received your breakthrough [Music] oh [Music] [Music] i'm [Music] [Music] [Music] hallelujah yeah yeah [Music] the scripture says stay that way upon the lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run and don't be weary they shall walk in nothing so lord i'm gonna wake here until i get my blessing until i get my answer come renew the joy renew the strength renew yourself [Music] [Music] i'm not turning back somebody needs to do exactly that right now just wait on the lord for a moment don't get in too big of a hurry this sunday morning somebody give god a praise and just wait for him for a moment [Applause] [Music] so [Music] oh [Music] what we desire is an uncommon visitation of the holy ghost to feel the presence of the lord in a way that cuts through all of the noise all the distractions all the chaos of the world around us and the perfect clarity of his spirit can cut through all of it right now if you just wait on him a moment somebody needs to lift their hands back up in the air and say god i'm waiting on you i've been waiting on you all week father here i am somebody's all for themselves as a living sacrifice right now don't rush past this moment the blind man bartimaeus cried out above the crowd [Music] there was a program there was a schedule there was a place to be [Music] but on jesus way he heard a voice cut through the crowd and say son of david have mercy on me and that was the moment that stopped jesus in his tracks somebody needs to get that desperate this morning it doesn't matter what's on the program it doesn't matter where we're going it doesn't matter what's on the schedule if one person one voice would say son of david have mercy on my soul [Music] give god a great handclap of praise and cry out to him right now [Music] if you came in with a need speak that need to jesus right now [Music] clap your hands everybody and cry out [Music] jesus [Applause] [Music] so [Music] foreign [Music] god's been doing something special in the midst of the pentecostals of bossier city and now what he's wanting from his people is a willingness to stop to wait and to listen to the voice from heaven the alpha the omega the beginning and the end wants to speak to somebody here today that's it don't worry about what god has in store 15 minutes from now worry about what he has right now somebody again cry out to god i know you want to right now you're wondering is this the moment that i'm supposed to do it there is no perfect moment there's only the moment of need [Music] that's it cry out [Music] [Music] if you've not been here the past few weeks or maybe a few months you might not be aware that we've had numerous occasions of instantaneous healings for many members of our church and people that are just walked in with a need we're praying right now and we're not gonna rush past it at this moment in the name of jesus christ by the power of his word god do it again [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] up so oh and everybody in the house just to reach out to the person beside you right now and i want you to pray over them at this very moment [Music] let their need become your need and take it to the throne room of heaven together father we come with anticipation that your word will play out right in front of our eyes exactly as you ordained it we're holding on to every word every promise every person in this place who's been bought by the blood of the lamb can plead that blood right now father if somebody else needs healing we claim that perfect healing [Music] be healed in the name of jesus if somebody needs relief if somebody needs some sort of escape out of the situation that they're in god break every chain and meet them where their need is right now we pray it in the name of jesus christ jesus name [Music] church body clap your hands and rejoice to the lord of all lords the king of kings [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] i don't want us to leave this spirit of prayer and honestly if y'all wanted to we could go a completely different direction right now if one person would cry out [Music] god give your people direction right now [Music] is [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] uh [Music] [Music] [Music] i know some people wonder why we're wasting time right now we're not wasting time when mary broke her alabaster box before the feet of jesus the disciples wondered why this waste but in heaven there is a sweet smelling incense that is rising up to the throne room right now because there's some people pouring out that alabaster box they're washing the feet of jesus as we [Music] speak [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] we're going to do something here but quickly i want to give y'all two updates sister wendy who had not in hodgkin's lymphoma how long ago was that october of 2019 was her diagnosis her body was absolutely covered in cancer she had another pet scan just yesterday or i'm sorry which day wednesday got the results friday the doctor said wendy i cannot imagine how your scans come back this clean when i look at it but we can imagine because we know a god that supersedes anything that we could think or ask [Music] [Applause] [Music] lance barnett at 19 years old was diagnosed with leukemia he's 33 now in a few he's been on medication since then a few months ago they had to call him and they said there's a strange spike in your numbers and then this past week lance got in touch with us and they said we've done a scan absolutely clear absolutely clear [Music] god can do the unimaginable and that's why we're not rushing past his presence right now [Applause] because god's stirring something up here today i'm trying i'm trying to figure out exactly what god has in store i do i do feel this if you're praying right now at the front i'm not going to send you back to your seats if you want to remain at the front and pray i don't mind because today is about prayer if you want to stay around the altar you can do that it's not going to bother me if you want to pray at any point in this message that i'm going to try to abbreviate for your sake i want you to take that moment and pray not to wait but to pray to cry out to god and to touch the throne of heaven if somebody's okay with that would you just give god another handclap of praise and expectation [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] in daniel 6 we read of the 120 rulers and three commissioners one of whom was daniel who's known as the daniel that lived through the lion's den they were appointed by king darius and daniel had distinguished himself by his wisdom by his excellent spirit by his behavior and his ethics his dignity they hated him for his elevation despite not stooping to the loaves that apparently all of them had and in daniel 6 verse 7 it begins all the commissioners of the kingdom the prefects and the sage traps and the high officials and the governors have consulted together that the king should establish a statute and enforce an injunction that anyone who makes a petition to any god or man beside you o king for thirty days shall be cast into the lion's den now o king establish the injunction and sign the document so that it may not be changed according to the law of the medes and the persians which may not be revoked therefore king darius signed the document that is the injunction now when daniel knew that the document was signed he entered his house now in his roof chamber he had windows open toward jerusalem and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day praying and giving thanks before his god as he had been doing previously i'm going to speak for a few minutes on this subject 10 minutes 11 hours somebody say 10 minutes 11 hours father i want to be sensitive to what you're doing today god if you want to interrupt the schedule don't let me get in your way father if you want to take this moment i don't mind handing over the reins to you god we're here for you and we're here for your move and we are here for you to change the life of somebody that wants so desperately to feel your presence to know that you are here that your will has something in store for their life god i pray that we would get out of your way let the holy ghost reign supreme in this house today we prayed in the name of jesus christ would everybody say it with love in your voice in jesus name amen [Music] daniel signed what would be his death warrant by kneeling beside his window that faced jerusalem and praying before god but this was his custom it's what he did not one time not twice but three times daily at this window publicly praying and longing towards that holy city jerusalem giving thanks to his god there was absolutely nothing no decree no threat of punishment that could keep daniel from praying to his god this morning before the majority of the people in this room dragged themselves out of their beds there was a group of people possibly in your neighborhood who have a unique alarm set that they wake up to it's part of what they do it's their custom it's something that they don't skip it makes me think back to my childhood many times i know when my own dad's time was to pray but i remember going to my friend's house the woodard's are back there they're serving today so they're near the door but we'd be hanging out with my friends josh and me and a few others and we'd be kind of loud and rowdy in their living room and then every every time we were over there for too long somebody would walk in and say hey you're going to have to keep it now keep it down now because brother joe's going to bed and that means that it was about three hours before sunset so it was bedtime for brother joe and he wasn't going to bed that early i'm sorry brother joe to embarrass you like this but he wasn't going to bed that early simply because he had to wake up early to go to work although he did that he had to wake up especially early because it was his custom that in the morning he would wake up for an hour to pray and to read the word of god it was his custom and i can say with absolute certainty that if the government had come door to door and said listen there's been a decree i'm sorry but joe woodard you are no longer allowed to pray to anybody except who they've appointed i pretty much know what brother joe's response would have been to that that government employee and it wouldn't have been pretty because it's custom many of you have your customary time with god the time that belongs to him and him alone and you would not deviate that for anything but this morning there was a group that prayed somewhere fairly near you and at dawn the entire family woke up together and they went through a process together they first washed their right hand three times and then they washed their left hand three times and then they took water into their mouths and they would spit it out three times and then they would take some of that water in their hand and they would sniff into their nose and then they would blow that water out again three times they washed their faces three times from their chin to their jawline to their hairline and then they would take the water again and their entire right arm to the elbow they would wash and then the left arm they would wash again three times and they would wash their hair from their hairline to the nape of the neck and then they cleaned their ears and then finally their right foot in their left foot three times they would wash and then they would get down on the floor and they would recite their prayers in their scriptures and they would do this without complaining they'll do it again at noon they'll do it here in six more minutes then in the afternoon then in the evening and then at sunset five times a day every day without exception without fail for one month out of the year they will fast from sun up until sundown they will not eat they will not drink they will not even take water i remember i've told the story before i won't tell you the entire thing for the sake of time but there was an incident on a plane the man beside me was asking me which direction is east and i looked out the window to see where the sun was setting because the sun was dipping down below the horizon and i said it's kind of this way and then whenever the sun dipped completely below he began to ask of the flight attendants he said i need crackers i need water crackers water and they were completely not to his aisle yet but they went and kind of acquiesced anyways and they gave him a bottle of water and he drank the entire thing so quickly and then he put the bottle back and he threw it down he said water and they said sir you're going to have to wait your turn and he said no i need water so they brought the water and then i saw him devour these crackers in a way that almost reminded you of an animal or somebody that had not eaten for so long because the man had been fasting from sun up to sun down and it was sometime during that month and he had to pray at towards the east and he did this because it was part of his custom the muslim world does this five times per day it doesn't matter what's going on they arrange their schedule around it and meanwhile meanwhile a little over half of christians pray daily a little over half 21 of christians pray weekly or monthly 23 percent say we almost never pray at all women are far more likely to pray than men are 64 of women will pray while only 43 percent of men only 63 percent of american christians say that praying regularly is an essential part of their christian identity and my question when i hear that is what happened to the other 37 percent how can we expect to know a god that we do not speak to that we do not listen to hear their voice again a muslim will pray five times per day every single day which equates to 1825 times per year and will fast a month out of that year without even a drop of water to wet their parched lips and yet the church struggles to have a majority of the church not rush from the altar every sunday to beat the other churches to lunch we cannot fast from social media for even one week without us getting text messages from people saying you know who's cheating on social media and like how do you know that they're cheating on social media well i accidentally clicked instagram monday morning at eight o'clock i remind you with a burden deep in my heart right now that the church of the 21st century cannot simply say that we want revival we must pray that we want revival we want ministry opportunities we want to feel fulfilled in our life we want financial blessings we want our desires catered to we want the right temperature in the sanctuary we want our favorite songs during worship we want the admiration of our peers we want we want we want but what does god want he wants to hear from his people to hear their voice cry out to heaven so that he can speak back jeremiah 33 and 2 thus says the lord who made the earth the lord who formed it and established that the lord in his name call to me and i will answer you and i will tell you great and mighty things which you do not know but you have to call to him he wants to let us in on the secrets of his will he wants to raise our level of expectations for ourselves for our families for our city for our church but our ears must be inclined to hear and can how can we hear without prayer without it being the overwhelming force that shapes our lives not just for a fraction of christianity but for anybody who calls upon that name i highly doubt that any soul in this building who enters heaven will walk through those pearly gates congratulating themselves on praying enough fasting enough or seeking god enough i think that it's far more likely that we will enter into splendor acknowledging that if we'd only known how real heaven was how beautiful and great it would be that we would have cried out thousands of times more for the loss of our homes and of our cities and of our workplaces i believe that we'll look back and say if i'd only known i would have believed for something greater than what i settled for me the world has done its best to convince us that our prayers do not make a difference with every great tragedy that befalls our nation there are countless critics who mock us with statements like keep your thoughts and your prayers to yourself we need action i acknowledge that god does not want us to stop with our prayers faith without works after all is dead but do not buy into the great lie that sincere and fervent prayer in itself is not enough to change everything in a moment we have diminished the power of prayer in our lives remember the average american christian prays 10 minutes per day but absorbs whether directly or indirectly 11 hours of media per day 10 minutes against 11 hours 10 minutes in 11 hours 10 minutes against 11 hours this is why even though the floor in this building is sloped toward the altar inwardly and spiritually it is an uphill climb that we must make and for some it even feels like a mountain to climb up to make your way to an altar and to humble yourself before the lord it is a struggle to make our way up and to fall down to our knees and today this very day across this nation preachers will often go home discouraged because they feel the lack of prayer at the altar is a reflection on how good their sermon was or was not for that day when in fact it is a reflection of the entertainment centric society against which we labor ten minutes against 11 hours entertain me preacher and maybe it'll be enough to guarantee a response which is why we have to have the anointing of the holy ghost in our pulpits because we cannot preach a sermon good enough to change you without prayer without prayer before the service during the service and every day when we open our eyes the very first words that should escape our lips are that this is the day that the lord has made i will rejoice and be glad in it no man can come except the father draws him ephesians 6 and 18 with all prayer and petition pray at all times in the spirit and with this in view be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints and he says pray on my behalf that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel for which i am an ambassador in chains that in proclaiming it i may speak boldly as i ought to speak the church has to fight this apathy in prayer it has to fight the notion that anything that you accomplish in your workday in your home in your place of business on the athletic field in your social status none of it none of it compares to speaking to god and having him speak back nothing compares to the moment where you bow down and you pray lyndon ravenhill was a preacher who spoke often of prayer what kind of prayer brings revival and there was a preacher i've told you about him before but he was based in portland maine his name was praying paxton of maine or praying paxton of portland and when they buried the man they went to his house and they noticed on the floor there were two edges beside his bed in the hardwood floor where his knees had resided day after day and he prayed constantly and sought god constantly so much that his knees had dug a hole into either side and i wonder sometimes if there's even a disturbance in the carpet of our homes or a single pair of pants that bear the mark that show where somebody hit their knees and they prayed with humility and said god i can do this on my own i need you desperately and i need you more than i've ever needed you before god is crying out for the church to return back to the legacy that they had before where prayer was the thing that changed everything it wasn't their design it wasn't their structure it wasn't their ideas it wasn't the fads that they got on top of before any other church but no it was the power that came out of a church body that bound together to pray whose voices cried out to god and would not stay silent for a moment because they had to have a move they had to have the holy ghost they had to have healing because they couldn't afford the doctor they had to have blessings because there were no jobs to be found they needed something and it was that need that drove them to their knees i wondered before god how bad do i need you how bad do i need you god are you simply something that makes the element of my life look a little bit more glamorous than it is the things look all right for the christian the christian that still doesn't have to depend upon prayer but can depend on any doctor can depend upon any financial plan can depend upon anything that they've laid out for their future and said i know how it's all going to work out but one deviation from that plan and one moment where that perfect world comes crumbling down and suddenly it drives us back to the need and for a moment we're restored back to the relationship that god wanted to have with us always does the church need god the way that leonard ravenhill said it was this when the church is prosperous she never has revival it's when the church is poor prayer is the language of the poor the self-satisfied don't need to pray the self-sufficient don't want to pray the self-righteous cannot pray but the man who realizes i need something outside of anything that's human at all he wants to bathe his soul in prayer god wants us to be saturated with communion with the holy ghost god saturates your people once again somebody cry out to god for a moment right now is there a soul that desires to reach heaven for a moment [Music] don't be satisfied to wait for the rapture and the coming of our lord jesus your people still need you prayer is the oasis in the desert for anyone who thirsts for the righteousness of god who can find no other will to draw from that state sheets at first for anybody who needs to hear from god who desires nothing more than his kingdom come his will be done on earth as it is in heaven 10 minutes 11 hours 10 minutes in prayer and 11 hours bathing in the media that would consume us that would drive us from our need of god that would tell us it's not something that you need it's only something you seek out of ignorance and weakness and i would confess to you all today i am weak and i am ignorant and i need to be able to talk to my god now in matthew 26 and 36 then jesus came with him to a place called gethsemane and he said to his disciples sit here while i go over there and pray and he took with him peter and the two sons of zebedee and began to be grieved and distressed and he said to them my soul is deeply grieved to the point of death remain here and keep watch with me if i heard those words out of my savior i think i might pause for a moment and say i'll wait here with you and i will touch heaven for you and he went a little beyond them and fell on his face and prayed saying my father if it is possible let this cup pass from me yet not as i will but as you will and he came to the disciples and found them sleeping and said to peter so you men could not keep watch with me for one hour keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak he went away again a second time and prayed saying my father if this cannot pass away until i drink it your will be done and again he came and found them sleeping for their eyes were heavy and he left them again and went away and prayed a third time saying the same thing once more then he came to the disciples and said to them are you still sleeping and resting behold the hours at hand and the son of man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners the first time he woke them up the first time he said you've got to watch and you've got to pray the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak but the second time he didn't say it and the third time he only woke them up to say i'm being taken away from you what god wants from his apostolic church is to refine the people to return and find us once more not asleep not resting our heads but watching and praying the flesh might be weak but the spirit can put strength back into it if you only invest 10 minutes 11 hours it's 12 12 they're already flooding into the restaurants but god wants to return to find the people that are watching and are praying your flesh would say you've got to leave you've got to go it's time but what god wants us to hear the voice of the church crying out there reminds him of the people that once cried out and said god fill us with the holy ghost we've never seen this we've never received it right now but god fill us with the holy ghost who is willing now to cry out i know your flesh is weak mine is too we share it in common but if there's a voice that is willing to cry out to god right now heaven is going to come down and touch the hearts of god's people but do you want to know him if you want to know him you should rush down to the front as quick as you can if you've got to stay where you are turn around sit and kneel down on the floor if you can but god wants to hear the voices of a desperate people who still confess that they need god somebody break open your alabaster box right now don't leave anything in there [Music] break it open and pour it all out on the feet of jesus [Music] i'm speaking to somebody right now that every prayer that you have prayed over the last several years have been prayed in passing they have been prayed quickly they have been prayed conveniently but as i'm speaking right now you remember a day when it was you at the altar and you cried out in a manner that everybody around you heard you [Music] and the passion that you cried out with broke the hearts of those who needed so desperately to be broken in the presence of the lord god wants you to be broken again [Music] god wants you to cry out again [Music] i need every prayer warrior alert right now if you know how to pray then pray with all fervency right now if you know how to pray in an apostolic altar call you need to lift up your voice right now [Music] god's still waiting on somebody right now [Music] [Music] hello [Music] oh [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] every eye closed in this house for a moment [Music] we have an incredible church incredible things have been happening but they are only the beginning of what god wants to do somebody has already said it can't get much better than this but god says oh [Music] how little you believe [Music] when peter was in chains the church was praying a prayer for him a prayer that they didn't even believe could be answered [Music] and we know this because whenever he started knocking on the door they had no idea how could possibly be him the church is about to start praying some impossible prayers [Music] but i want to do something together this church needs to repent together that all too often we have gone by without talking to our god you might have your prayer time with him but he still wanted more i want us to lift our voices to heaven right now and say father forgive me for falling silent when you wanted to hear my voice when you wanted to spend a little time in my presence i ignored you because i had things to do [Music] 10 minutes against 11 hours church family began to repent before god with me father i'm sorry [Music] i'm sorry for robbing you of the time that you wanted with me you just wanted to hear from me but god so many times there were things to do father help me to turn my heart [Music] god help my life to not feel complete if i'm not speaking to you at every turn [Music] church family repent with me right now [Music] and commit that this is a new season of prayer a new season where the pentecostals of berger are going to have altars that sounded like the altars of all where nobody wanted to leave because there was nothing out there that could compare to the thing that you found in these altars [Music] somebody cry out to heaven right now don't fall silent on me now god still wants to hear from you this [Music] morning [Music] foreign [Music] oh [Music] um [Music] so [Music] oh [Music] me [Music] so [Music] oh [Music] shame and guilt take me there [Music] the glory of the lord [Music] take me there [Music] your feet [Music] i wanna know what it [Music] the glory of the lord to fall [Music] [Applause] [Music] for [Applause] [Music] [Music] the glory of the lord to fall [Music] [Applause] [Music] for [Applause] me there [Music] so [Music] oh [Music] heaven touches [Music] it earth like the glory of the [Music] me lord [Music] glory of the lord [Music] feels like the glory of the lord take me there [Music] so [Music] [Music] you
