[Music] hey [Music] [Applause] [Music] i [Music] you are the one i want [Music] it can take everything yeah jesus give me jesus this world is not my home i am just passing through earthly treasures [Music] this world can have it all it can take everything give me jesus give me away my jesus yes [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] [Music] you are forever you are the one that i run to you are my you are treasurer treasure you are my treasure heaven and earth forever [Music] [Music] there is that is [Applause] [Music] moment let's look from jesus into the house this morning [Music] you could offer the whole world but just give me jesus you could offer everything but just give me jesus there's an old song that said he's offered everything that had a name all the wealth of wanting worldly fame but if i could still i wouldn't take nothing for my journey now somebody told me before the devil didn't offer me everything if he offered me everything it might have been kind of tempting but he offers so little in comparison to the goodness and the favor of god i've never regretted turning my life back over to jesus if you love god with all of your heart and you want him to know that more so than your neighbors give him another handclap of praise and let him know from the bottom of your heart how much you love him how much you adore him [Music] find somebody to greet in the name of the lord this morning tell them it is good to see them i want you to especially make our guests feel welcome here today [Music] [Music] [Music] we're looking at us good to see so many new faces here at povc we are glad that you decided to share this morning with god with us thank you for worshiping with us today we have again senator robert mills he stops by to worship with povc every now and then it seems like he can't stay away we love seeing senator robert mills he's a friend of this church it's always good to have you our connect groups it's still not too late to sign up for a connect group if you want to connect with some people some great people you can still do so on the church center app or check out the connect groups board in the front foyer that is right behind you directly in the middle go look there and you can see a group that you could be a part of we have a lot of variety something to help you connect to other worshipers away from church and get to know somebody it's a great opportunity for that next our foundations classes start next sunday foundations is after first step and we had a great first steps group this semester foundations is the next step after our four-week first steps program if you've been through first steps and you want to continue through the foundations you can sign up online at pobc.cc or the church center app foundations will be held sunday at 10 o'clock am in the flc adult one room we also have coming up october the 29th at seven o'clock p.m there are still tickets available for the james wilson tour you can order tickets through the link in our church instagram profile so if you would go to instagram and look at the pentecostals of poster you'll find it there and just let me make let me take time to make a special plug some people said well why do we have to buy tickets to a concert now i know if you're familiar with most concerts but these tickets in comparison are actually far cheaper than most concerts that you'll go to anywhere second of all people have been wondering for years why do we not have enough apostolic musicians and singers doing it full-time the reason is because it was incredibly difficult to do it full-time with a model that existed so look they don't charge our church anything to host this concert they just say if you open up the venue for us we'll provide the tickets and it's actually a way for him to pay all the musicians they pay their travel expenses and everything for a week that honestly this guy has had offers from everywhere and he's turned down so many of them because he said i need to be in a place where at the end of my concert people can receive the gift of the holy ghost they can be baptized in the name of jesus they can repent and turn their lives around he has turned down offers because he said i want the spirit of god to be able to move at the end of that concert like it's a church service his own father-in-law received the holy ghost at one of these that's why we're supporting it in the nature that we are and i know there were some questions so i wanted that to be clear really quickly and let's take a moment if we would to recognize the birthday of our music pastor brother brad crow [Music] the youngest 48 year old you have ever seen oh that's not that's not quite it we do have [Music] we wanted to recognize his birthday today because they do a fantastic job this music team they were all up here yesterday working very hard to increase the i don't know increase the better the sound and better these new in-ear monitors that they've got so we want to say happy birthday to brother brad let's just drag this out for a little while because i can tell you feel really comfortable right now yeah that's right give him a great hand clap thank you all for all that y'all do [Music] if the ushers would come and help us prepare to take the offering we're going to do so right now but what we've been doing lately is we've been presenting some needs to everybody during this time uh you all know that we've been praying for elijah gillespie for a while we're not gonna stop praying for elijah we're not gonna stop praying for his family they need the strength of the holy ghost right now sir we're gonna do that together if y'all don't know elijah how old is elijah right now i keep losing track he's five years old five years old has been struggling with his tumor for so many years now and it's been a long long long long fight we need to pray for that family right now they are they've got to be tired and they've got to be weary but we have a friend that sticketh closer than a brother and we're going to call upon that friend right now this morning another person that we're going to call out today many of you do not remember her because you may have come in after this church was built but the laffler family came in and were a vital part of building this building over two decades ago and when they came they had their kids seth and emily emily is now named emily gillespie and we were informed this morning that she's only she's about my age so she's 38 years old or so around that range she is in icu right now and they're considering having to put her on a vent we need a miraculous touch of the holy ghost and that i see you right now so we're going to pray healing power directly where she is and if you have any other needs i want you to signify them with the raising of your hands right now and we're going to pray the prayer of faith father we come to you this day with thanksgiving we know that you're able to do all things god so we call upon that healing power that you promised by your stripes we are healed you already paid the price so father we receive it right now in the name of jesus christ for emily we pray that you would lift her up god that you would heal her body miraculously right now let it absolutely stupefy the doctor's god let them be blown away by the turnaround that takes place for elijah for that family god we are praying the touch of the holy ghost would fuel up that home god we pray strength and we pray honor we play glory in the holy ghost right now in the name of jesus christ would you give god a praise of thanksgiving in this moment say in jesus name [Music] is [Music] is come on [Applause] [Music] my heart's desire with no resistance [Applause] [Music] this life is yours [Music] come set me on a holy [Music] until [Music] [Applause] [Music] until is [Music] this is [Music] this is fill me up holy ghost shine bright until the whole world knows your love [Music] don't set me on a holy farm this is this is [Music] completely [Music] jesus [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] is cause this is [Music] [Applause] nothing like your presence jesus anything can happen in your presence jesus [Music] holy ghost fill this place come on somebody reach out to him right now spirit have your way everywhere when you walk into the room everything changes darkness starts to tremble at the light that you bring when you walk into the room every heart starts burning nothing matters more than just [Music] jesus [Music] when you walk into the room everything changes [Music] heart starts burning and nothing matters more than just [Music] we love you we'll never stop can't live without you jesus we love you can't get enough all this is for you jesus [Applause] [Music] [Music] there is and we'll resurrection stop the dead cause there began jesus is [Music] all this is [Music] [Applause] [Music] my right [Music] i give it all [Applause] i give it up i give it up [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] we can't get it [Music] for you jesus for you [Music] give it all to him in worship i'll give you everything lord yeah i give it all i give it all i give it all hallelujah your hands and shout unto god when the voice [Music] [Music] i give you [Music] [Music] what a powerful [Music] presence of god we feel i looked back and saw people wiping tears and just wanting to do what that song said just feel the lord feel the presence of god just [Music] giving it all that's what we're going to preach about today giving it all oh my you can return to your seats and prepare to receive the word of the lord this morning somebody shout amen i saw troy back there hindering keith and wendy's son and his wife every sunday i'm watching that door for y'all because they've moved over here so you get over there and hug their neck and shake their hand and tell them welcome they've moved from west monroe to our part of the world we're happy to see them today uh before i preach i want to say something thank you that that's that's supposed to be funny that's what the old preacher said before i preach i want to say something we strive here at the pentecostals to be a sanctuary a safe place we have a seven program on tuesday nights brother steve nat and brother barry had this up for us people who have hurts hang-ups and habits they're trying to break free of and uh we're we we pray for seven all the time i know you're praying because these are the kind of people that seem to feel most comfortable around jesus isn't it amazing that it was sinners who felt comfortable around jesus [Music] that's always amazed me all of all of the pharisees and the scribes and the people who were supposed to be the religious people he messed with them but we strive to make povc a sanctuary a safe place doesn't matter the color of your skin we could care less your social status your position economically your lifestyle your dress we want this to be a safe place because we want god to minister to you but we don't want to leave you where you are because jesus doesn't he wants to lift you up change your life and sometimes that may take a while that's okay i just want us all to be going in the right direction moving toward more of god can i get a witness from somebody amen well has anybody here ever taken the bathtub test anybody ever taken the bathtub test a man wrote this and i was so captivated by the bathtub test that i copied it so i knew you'd want to hear about it he was visiting actually a mental asylum and the guest asked the director how do you determine who needs to stay here and the man said well that's easy we give them the bathtub test we fill up a bathtub with water and we give the patient a teaspoon a cup and a bucket and we ask them to empty out the bathtub of the water and the guest said oh i get it that's easy he said you know everybody's gonna know the bucket can get the water out a whole lot quicker he said actually no he said you just pull the plug [Applause] would you like a bed close to a window a couple of weeks ago brother ryan was ministering and he put a leonard ravenhill quote up on the screen leonard raven he'll mess with me through the years he's a he's a deceased writer he wrote on prayer he wrote a particular book that would be interesting for our times well he wrote a lot of books but he wrote one book entitled sodom had no bible it's a very stirring book but then he wrote a book called amos goes to washington that was quite a book and when when when he put that up on the screen i can't keep myself from just going and looking for one of those books and reading a little bit of that book but leonard ravenhill challenged you in his books he challenged you in his books to move closer to the altar king jeroboam who was the first king of the divided nation of israel king jeroboam was afraid that if all of these people in the ten tribes started going back to jerusalem for the annual feast that nostalgia would take a hold of them and so he came up with this ideal that instead of moving the people close to the altar i'll move the altar closer to the people he said it's a long way to jerusalem for many of you so we're going to make it convenient for you years ago shortly before we moved to bossier there was a pastor in the st louis area who would often ask us to come and minister at his church on the weekend and so they would have a sunday school similar to what we do a first word here now and then they would have their morning worship we always got there in time for first word it'd be a good idea for all of you because it was certainly good today anyway i didn't have to say that felt kind of good saying it it burned a little bit put a little salve on it it's it'll get better anyway so this was an elder pastor he was quite old and so in his first word he took the pulpit and he moved it halfway back in the center aisle and there was nobody behind him and so curiosity got the best of me and i asked him i said why do you teach from halfway back and he said well you know i tried for years to get the people to move up closer and he said they wouldn't come so i just moved back closer to them we we had a guy i won't tell you who he is because you'll figure out who i'm talking about but he and his family had been in our church a few years and he said man i love you and brother ryan's preaching i think even maybe brother shannon was here at the time he said because my last pastor he just always told us how good we were and he said you guys you're always telling us we're not good enough i i don't know if that's good or bad by the way i think this is an amazing group of people but i want to say this again if you're if you're stuck in your walk with god absolutely we don't want to tell you how good you are i don't want a preacher to tell me how good i am if you're not bearing fruit you need to be dug around fertilized as the parable in the bible said to try to get you to bear some fruit my mother had some tomato plants one time that just bloomed like all get out but they wouldn't make a tomato and our neighbor said they need a good whipping and and this is a true story some of you gardeners know this she our neighbor got a switch she beat the hound dog out of those tomato plants she beat the leaves off and i'm telling you standing up here the truth you should have seen how many tomatoes those plants made i think every time they looked up and saw that lady going to the mailbox they made another tomato so after brother ryan's sermon i downloaded a book by an old author who's now also deceased many of you know him especially you of any age the author of the cross and the switchblade david wilson he has a book called hungry for more of jesus and it's not one of these books that tells you how good you're doing it's one of these books that makes you think you're going to hell if you don't straighten up act right but it is a phenomenal book and i know i've said that some of you are writing it down i'll get a text after church saying what was the name of that book and i would highly recommend it but that book inspired what i want to share with you today because it pointed me to a verse description of david wilson uh who who left the church in pennsylvania and went into the worst areas of new york city years ago and established a church among the drug addicts and people like that he was a very consecrated man and you can easily access some of his sermons and things he said on youtube but he came years ago i had not been here long and a local church had a crusade at david works and crusade at night and during the day they rented the shreveport convention center and it was for preachers only and so our assistant then was uh brother david scott who now pastors in atlanta georgia he and i went down every day at lunch it was only two days we went down to hear david wilkerson and the first day was nothing but a scalding i mean we felt like those tomato plants the first day was about watching television and not praying now i grew up in this and i've heard about that one-eyed devil from the time i was a little bitty boy but i have never been thrashed like this he worked him over and for one solid hour he basically said if you're filling your life with all of this stuff coming out of hollywood and what have you he said you're carnal and you need to do what i did he had a bunch of people pile him up and took a shotgun to him and literally that's not a joke so man brother david and i left that day were like good night you know i don't know about all that business he just worked those people over so the next day we went back and it was about half a crowd literally call brother david he'll tell you no don't call him just trust me all right i'll call him for you his phone don't need to blow up and that day when when we went to that thing leonard ravenhill was there he was still alive he was close to 90. and they had him come up and pray and they two men helped him up to the pulpit and i was so moved that day and so david workers had said okay we got rid of all the people who's not interested who want to play church today i'm going to teach you a bible study and it was a phenomenal bible study on the two priesthoods in the old testament that i've never forgotten unto this day philippians 3 7 and 8 says but what things were gained to me those i counted lost for christ can i have a few minutes this morning i got four yes sirs and two amens you're free to leave you're not tied down you can go verse 8 said doubtless and i count all things somebody say all things he didn't say the good things or bad things he said everything i count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of christ jesus my lord for whom i have suffered the loss of all things and to count them but done that i may win christ that word done there means done poo-poo paul said winning christ this is not about his salvation paul was confident in his salvation paul said winning christ and i hadn't been able to get this off my mind for two weeks winning christ was so important to him not about being saved he wants to win christ i looked that word up and i tried to study it in my little hebrew concordance in greek concordance and basically it it's saying exactly what he what we read it to say that he wanted to win god's favor for this he said i have suffered the loss of everything and it's all done it is meaningless to me and i have a hard time wrapping my mind around that his entire life i suppose we could say this was paul's mission statement in life i want to win christ i want to win christ his ministry his purpose for living focused on pleasing his master paul was secure in his salvation j.t pugh one of my mentors said heaven is not my goal heaven is my destiny i'm planning to go to heaven if you hadn't obeyed acts 2 38 you need to do it today because we're running out of time paul never married and he explains in the book of first corinthians 7 32 and 33 why he didn't get married he said i would have you without carefulness carefulness he that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the lord how he might please the lord but he that is married careth for the things that are of the world how he may please his wife and amazingly paul had the audacity to say imitate me as i imitate christ question do we have any young marion age men in the congregation today who thinks this way don't raise your hand we'll think you're weird i certainly didn't think that way my fear was god was going to come before i could get married and i've had the opportunity to be influenced by many great wonderful men and women who were hungry for jesus i guess the only man i've ever met who took paul's advice was lee stone king i guess malcolm gladwell would call him an outlier because he certainly is in colossians 1 and 10 paul writing to that church at colossae said that you may that you might walk worthy of the lord unto all pleasing wow in that song of songs which is solomon's chapter 4 verse 9 and 10 it's a story of christ and his bride it's a story of christ and the church he said thou hast ravished my heart my sister my spouse thou has ravished my heart with one of thine eyes with one chain of thy neck that word ravished means in the hebrew to unheart we would say you stole my heart the little vineyard keeper not born of royalty but a vine dresser she ravished she stole the heart of solomon it's the song of songs which is solomon glenn campbell went through four marriages until one finally took at the end of his days even when he was already gripped by alzheimer's he sang a song called there's no me without you so if i outlive my wife and i pray to god i do she knows that's the song i want at my funeral because she stole my heart i got it backwards [Applause] you know with a slideshow and me and her in the beginning youthful and young startling in our appearance and then the marriage and the kids and the grandkids and then she still startles me gary chapman wrote a book called the five love languages and if you've never read it and if you're married it ought to be required reading because it's a fascinating book he identifies five love languages some of you know what they are and i don't have time to go through them and spend a lot of time but one was quality time now so what happened when i'm meditating on i want to win christ and i'm walking and i'm praying and i'm like god how do i win you this old book that i read years ago that i've not forgotten popped into my mind and i asked myself i wonder if god has love languages are there things i could do apparently there are because paul said i want to win him i want to steal his heart i want to unheart him i want to be that little maid one was quality time i think god has that love language can you say amen to that i think meaningful time with god is one of his love languages that you can lay your phone down long enough and your activity's down long enough to hide out with him a bit uh physical touch i can't touch him in the flesh but i can touch him in the spirit acts of service i think this is a love language with god doing things that would be for him and then there's words of affirmation i know words of affirmation is his love language because all through the psalms he's calling on us talk about me tell me how great i am tell me i'm great and greatly to be praised it's all in the bible and then there's that receiving gifts that's a love language with god he asked for your first fruits didn't he because it says something to him so me and my wife studied this and i immediately identified her love language and maybe you got more than one maybe you got all five i think god has all five but one night she had been the canton trade days on a thursday and so we're just before going to sleep she pops a question to me can i borrow your truck tomorrow so being full of the spirit i knew immediately what she needed i said so you bought something today that wouldn't fit in your car yes but it's no problem and i said why don't i just go with you tomorrow's friday i try to take fridays off and she said you would do that now that made me feel kind of bad yeah i'd do it so boy we did it we drove over there we spent time we loaded up whatever she bought i don't even remember what it was we're on the way home brother she is you know that song pour your love on me she was pouring it on me man she's patting my hands she's holding me she's talking and i black i looked at her and i said i spoke your love language today didn't i she said you did does god have a love language are you interested in winning christ do you just want to be saved is that all are you enough in love with what he did for you that while we were yet sinners he died for us do you want to coast do you want to just kind of have a lukewarm like a day do you no we want to win christ not just as individuals but as a body of believers we want to do something in bosu that god identifies as his love language because you can win god's favor you don't pray for god's favor that's not bible you do things that god likes somebody shout amen you follow his principles he's not a respecter of persons but if you be willing and obedient you'll eat the good of the land god loves obedience more than all your talk as brother levi said in in first word this morning he loves obedience that's why we've been calling people who've not been baptized to get baptized in the name of jesus because it's in obedience to a scriptural command repent and be baptized every one of you god responds to obedience god responds to faith very little in the bible impress god he said if i were hungry i wouldn't call you but i'm going to tell you what happened a gentile gave a bible study one day when his servant was sick at home and jesus said i will come and heal your servant and the man gave a little study on authority and he said i'm not worthy to have you come to my house yes he said if you just speak the word i'm a man i understand authority i'm in the army i can issue an order if i say go they go if i say come they come all you've got to do is speak the word and the bible said jesus was impressed he was astonished and he turned around to his disciple and he said i have not seen such great faith not in all israel is a man who believed in the power of the word of god yes yes i go to that little book of ruth because it is this beautiful love story in the bible of how this gentile lady ravished the heart of boaz a man who was well respected in his land she stole his heart it said in ruth 1 1 when the days it came to pass in the days when the judge's rule there was a famine in the land and a certain man of bethlehem judah went to serge sojourn in the country of moab he and his wife and his two sons i see two famines today in america number one is an absence of the presence of the lord we gather here on sunday mornings we want the presence of god amen let me tell you something when god moves in here you know it you can feel his presence paul said he's close enough to you can reach out and touch him and even this morning when they were singing that song when he walks into the room oh my things happen when the lord shows up i'm not saying you can't be in the presence of god apart from the fellowship of god's people but i will tell you this it makes a difference when we gather together and the spirit of the lord moves in here i see a famine today you know why because things come alive in the presence of the lord and some things die in the presence of the lord some things become rubbish to us in the presence of the lord some things become done to us in the presence of the lord there's another famine it's a famine for the hearing of the word of god isaiah amos saw it in 8-11 god said i will send a famine to the land not a famine of bread nor a thirst for water but of hearing of the hearing of the hearing of the words of the lord we need the presence of god when jesus walks into the room when jesus comes the power of satan is broken when jesus comes all tears are wiped away he takes the gloom and fills my heart with gladness for all has changed since jesus came to stay when jesus comes you felt it then didn't you all the power of satan is broken when jesus comes he wipes all tears away he takes the gloom fills my heart with gladness [Music] ought to make a record at night for all has changed whoa ask the blind man by the road if things happen when jesus shows up ask the leper if things happen when jesus shows up ask the people that the wedding party of things happen when jesus shows up we need the presence of god in our services we don't have time for throwaway services we don't have time for dead church we need god's presence clap your hands and shout naomi left bethlehem which means the place of bread and she went to moab it appeared moab was prospering her husband and her two sons went to moab moab was a wicked place it was called god's wash pot in the bible it's where the scornful set moab was born of the incestuous relationship between lot and one of his daughters mortal enemies lifetime enemies of the nation of israel it was moab that seduced israel at shittim and in the wilderness and 24 000 people died god forbade the israelites to mary moabite women he said surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods the same thing happens today if we have a famine of the presence of god in the church and the hearing of the word of the lord people will leave the church and they will go to moab they will go to babylon they will go to the world and moab is only a place where young men go to die because naomi lost her sons in moab and we don't want anybody leaving bethlehem judah the place of bread to go to moab to go to moab to go to moab to go to moab to babylon to this world to this sick sin feel cursed world [Applause] but one day past memories began to flood naomi's mind she began to yearn for her home she began to yearn to go back so she said to her two daughters-in-law i'm hasting to a close i have nothing to offer you they went out to the border and her two daughter-in-laws who obviously loved her they wept when they thought about losing naomi they wept when they thought about her going without them and the bible is very plain they all wept they cried it was a sad day for them i don't have anything to give you she said if i could have boys you wouldn't wait until they grew up to marry an age but the bible said she heard that the lord had visited his people giving them bread that's where i want to be i want to live in that place i i don't want to be in a place where i can't be stirred and move because i want to i want to listen to god's love language i wanna i wanna find out what his love language is and i i wanna do those things that impress god and having faith in him and trusting him and not leaving because there's a hard time or things are not going my way or i have no bread in my house i went a while back when i was confined to not be able to be on my feet for a week and i listened to brother pugh's message from because of the times years ago it's called the divine flow you can find it on youtube i watched it and i wept and i remembered the sacrifices that my father and men of that generation made i remembered how they made a commitment they were like paul we'll give up everything we'll lay it all down my dad laid it down my wife's father laid it down it was done to them they're trying to win christ is there anybody here that wants to win christ is there anybody in the house that would like for bolster city i don't care if if paul was saying it's not so important what you think about me but i want to know what does he think about me come on pentecostals of bossier come on pentecostals exposure we want to speak his love language and there's so much in our society of moving the altar closer to the people instead of moving people closer to the altar so they all wept and they paused there at the border and this is where many go back and after their talk the bible said ofer whose name means stiff-neckedness the stiff-necked person is one who literally is stubborn or untrackable cannot take discipline ruth's name means a friend or a companion she had nothing to give them they all wept there was a river of tears orpha was torn between two loves like those people the prophet spoke about in the days of backslidden israel they feared the lord but they served their own gods many many have walked through these doors i had a lady tell me years ago when i get out of my car on the parking lot i i get out of my car and literally feel the presence of god in the in this church but she's at the border she told me later i just can't make that commitment i can't go all the way there are many people who are in that place right now there are people that i am preaching to right now you're at the border and and you're listening and and there's a poll there's a tug to go back to moab but there's a tug that said i love you so much nail me that your people will be my people and your god will be my god she forsook all the message of jesus was that if you're gonna be his disciple you've got to deny yourself and take up your cross and follow him my cup is clap your hands to the lord one more time and the jewish sages teach dearer to god than all the israelites who stood at mount sinai is the convert had the israelites not witnessed the lightning to thunder the trembling mountain had they not listened to the sounds of the shofar they would not have accepted the torah but the convert who do not do did not see hear any of these things surrendered to god and accepted the yoke of heaven can anyone be dear to god than that when i read that i thought of the words of jesus thomas you've seen you saw my scars you felt them you believed greater at my niece's funeral it asked me to say a few words and i thought of the words of paul who said he went up to the third heaven he said i saw things there that i cannot speak and i'm like why tell us paul what you saw what do you mean you can't tell us tell us maybe it'll move somebody to want to go to heaven who heretofore had not accepted that call tell us paul when ruth got home it was the time of the barley harvest the bible said they came home empty they had no food to eat it's right in the bible it's a love story unparalleled it's about a lady who loved her mother-in-law so much she said i'll throw it all in you think she didn't have a mother you think she didn't have a daddy did she have sisters brothers she had obviously had gods she worshipped in moab it was a land full of idolatry it was so wicked that one of the kings in order to try to win the favor of his idol god sacrificed his own son in front of the whole nation that was moab she said i'll see you i'm going with you naomi i'm going to tell you how you're going to win christ forsaking all others forsaking all others what do you want me to do god you want me to get baptized today you want me to go down in the name of jesus i want to win him i'm preaching to people who are on the border you're caught between two worlds so she got up in the morning and she said i'm going to the fields stand with me i gotta close go into the field because god had a law it's in leviticus and we won't take you there to read it but the law was you cannot glean the field twice you can't do the corners of the field you cannot go over your vineyard twice you leave it for the stranger and the poor and the homeless and she embraced one of god's principles she said i'm going to the field to glean but the landowner the property owner by the name of boaz came out to see how the harvest was going and he saw a little lady in the field he said who is that woman that's ruth the daughter-in-law of naomi he said yeah i heard about her i heard about what she did it's in your bible he said i heard she's a virtuous woman you know what ruth did because she followed a principle she stole his heart she unhearted him he was her kinsmen redeemer he took her in and he married her and when solomon built that gigantic beautiful 20 billion dollar temple he had two massive columns in the front made of pure brass and one of them he named boaz and they don't know why i studied it for a week to try to find out why and basically they don't know why maybe it was that book of ruth don't live with a divided heart today yeah we don't want to leave you where we find you we want to move you closer to the altar bow your heads across
