[Music] you [Music] as we come with our minds turned toward you and I and our heart open to you now Lord speak to us out of your word bless every song that'll be song every prayer that'll be prayed every gift that'll be given and every word that'll be spoken from you god bless it in the name of Jesus use your word today to break yokes use your word today to set captives free use your word today to bind up and lose God use your word like never before in the name of Jesus all of God's people said a man if it had not been for y'all know it no what did he do oh don't you know he left the Sun oh I wanna know listen it sounded really good it sounded real Church but it didn't sound convincing I heard the words but I don't know if y'all really believe it so if you know that it had to be the Lord that woke you up this morning that started you on your way that kept you from losing your mind that kept your feet firm if you're living in a house that you don't deserve driving a car you don't deserve on a job you know you ain't qualified for let's try it again yeah oh he let the song don't praise the Lord everybody may be seated all over this place I don't know about you tonight but it's good to be in the house of the Lord in the land of the dying on our way to the land of the living we reverence our God tonight he is a good god he's an awesome God he's an autonomous God but most of all he is our God and he allows us to be his people please forgive our delay tonight but it is my privilege to invite to this mic at this time our devotional message preacher capacitor of the more than conquerors church who after he has set his music ministry will sent to the choir loft and lead us even to higher heights but the preaching the declaration of the devotional message is none other than our own pastor Steve green say man form a Zico praise the Lord everybody I surprised the Lord everybody I know it's Tuesday night but I said praise the Lord everybody I was glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the Lord I'm gonna get out of the way I know there's a outstanding preacher coming forth and so I don't want to out preach the preacher and can't do it to start with but I'm so honored to be here when I received a call from the committee to come I say you must be dialing number for the Baptist revival even though I was raised in a Baptist Church in these all my friend I know anybody could have sugar and would have been here other than me so I'm honored to be here tonight and to my good friend pastor Jackson I'm not surprised that I'm here cuz we shared so many moments together so many meetings together so many realities together and we invite him doing one of our major conferences which what one quote-unquote bath is nondenominational he came over and just lectured us and only he can do it so if you are under his leadership I hope you know what kind of gift you got even already preached me crazy for about the last thirty minutes I'm saying what we should've died was just Pike what he was saying and brought it here so let me say publicly to the angel in his house I am so honored to be chosen to be here won't baby say like I did on this Sunday night and you had a preacher that took me all the way back as I let you but thank you for inviting me and thank you for including me look at somebody to say it's revival time oh yes it is I was raised in Saint John Baptist Church 521 4th Street Pratt City under there forever and James Jackson Amen and I know of miss Jackson is here and so I'm and JJ and I'm a part of the family I just I'm just a cousin that went and did something else and started more than conquerors but I was braised around hymns and spiritual songs and got me on fire 47 years ago and I'm still on fire now they told me stuff like Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now I'm found I was blind but now I see through many dangers toils and snares I have already come to us Graceland broke me thus Satan thus far and grace will lead us on him Ana it was grace that taught my heart to fear and grace my fears relieved how precious did the grace appear the hour I first believed when we've been there ten thousand years bright shiny oh I know I'm possibly luxury right shining as the Sun we've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun and then they were going to say praise God oh I better quit I'm posed to be lecturing here huh oh yeah I'm supposed to be lecturing I uh I'm a lecturer but I'm not really gonna need the Bible here but I'm gonna talk out of it cuz I'm almost like a walking concordance I'm gonna be all in the word all the way live I've studied to show myself approve a workman that needeth not be ashamed but rightly dividing the word of truth huh now so revival is coming I'm John the Baptist I'm just a foreigner I'm just breaking up the fella ground I'm here to tell you that Jesus is the way the truth in the life that he's a wonderful counselor he's a mighty God he's the king of kings in times like these when me and are confused he's still the way he's still the truth he's the hope of our salvation he's a played in the Morningstar he's a doctor that never lost a patient he's a lawyer that never lost the case he's my parallax he mine he's my Redeemer he's my fila he's my Sanctifier he's my way and he's my way out he's my all and all in him I live and hear my moving him I help my being up [Music] let me let you hear my thought will be taken from Matthew's Gospel chapter number 16 Jesus asking his disciples who do men say that I am he said well master haw there are so many people there's mixed emotions some say that you're Jeremiah's uh some say you're Elijah some say that you are one of the prophets but I believe that when this week is over this revival is gonna be very important that you know in times when sexuality is being compromised and when abortion that we don't know when it began we must know what the answer is and Peter stood up and answered he said I'm gonna give an answer but it's not gonna be we're poking him said it's not gonna be what the street committee said he said ah you aren't the Christ the Son of the Living God and Jesus said you got it right you spied on because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you he said but my father gave you the revelation look at somebody say you go have to hear from the father of his League and he said upon this rock I build my church as we attempt to revive the church that never should have died he said upon this rock I peel my church and the very gates of Hell shall not prevail and because of that is sir I'm gonna talk to the next couple of minutes of them either way he said I'm gonna give you the keys of the kingdom I want to talk about the three keys to revival the three keys to revival because if we're gonna be able to withstand the onslaught of the devil in the last days we not only need the other the revival for the pulpit huh but God promised in the last days uh I'm gonna pour out my spirit upon all flesh your sons your daughters your young men shall see visions your old men shall dream dream three women shall prophesy anybody going to talk to me in this place the Spirit of God is about to sweep through the land in the last days I understand that pastor Jackson has been asked analogically talking about the end time in the rapture look at somebody tell them prepare for an end time harvest I'll prepare for your signs that's in jails and your daughter's is on crack being pumped and prostituted prepared for them to be a major major breakthrough look at your names are you in for a breakthrough but you're we're gonna unlock the jail sails out we must have three keys I learned this much as a as I'm still a Baptist that you need to learn how to stand up speak up shut up and make three points here's my three point the first key you must have a prayer life if there is going to be revival we must get back to prayer we're not to measure our success by passing out bus but God said my house shall be called a house of prayer why because prayer guess whatever you need he said in Philippians 4 be careful anxious about nothing but in everything by prayer supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God that passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and your minds look at your name is your neighbor it's impossible for you to snap crackle pop or lose your mind when prayer is in your life prayer that was a woman that went before a judge an unjust judge you know some of us got trouble with trouble on every side in and we try to we've listened and Alexander Shannara and he said call me Alabama but God said no you call on me and I'll show you great and mighty things now David said I will call upon the Lord and so shall I be saved from my enemies of the Lord and blessed be my rock let the god of our salvation be exalted and she had a case she was a widow woman her husband was dead and the Bible said that that junk unjust charge' for a moment with not reliever of her a problem maybe it was a fight over property but she kept on playing in the Bible says he would not fall while you know what it's like we get trying to get a house trying to get a job and they wouldn't hire you for a while but look at your neighbor and say it's about to happen in the next three days and he said because of this woman's an opportunity not because of our opportunity she troubled me look at your neighbors say your prayers are troubling the enemy you become a spiritual troublemaker and she got a breakthrough the next key that's vitally important I wish I had more time to talk about prayer since our land is so messed up in God's saying it might people with he's not concerned about the white house which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray seek my face turn from their wicked ways then will now hear from heaven and I will heal their land it doesn't matter who's in office democrat or republican prayer chain says denominationalism prayer trips is a politics prayer chance is a sociate socio-economic statuses and no matter what you black white poor welfare section eight I don't know what section you're in they told me in Pratt City just a little talk with Jesus tell them all about my trouble he'll make it right here yes sir okay let me get on my time's running out first key first key everybody say prayer but then you got to stick another key because prayer was just slip you right into a now the key called praise look at your neighbor said you ain't got a prayer life you must not be breathe if you don't have a praise life you must not be breathing for the Bible said whatever go praise him for it said you want to praise him for his mighty acts huh praise him for his excellent greatness a tale where L my to praise him I can't praise him in school why don't you try praising God in His sanctuary and the last time I checked I think this is a sanctuary it's not a gym is not a school if it's a sex aware where is your place pack your head and give God a shell right now for revival time [Music] [Applause] the reason we're doing all that prayer in praise huh why we're praying so much in prayer having prayer so much huh look at your name say cuz this is just a rehearsal the last key the reason you died the reason you give the reason you serve in Russia because this is just a rehearsal we are preparing for the end time the last key is prophecy it's all going to come to in here now therefore you must go to the book of Revelation and I'm about to take my seat and there when you go and I almost want to call this pastor Jackson I'm through I want to call this the doors of the church all open I know the revival coming but I want to take you my revelation prophecy if you don't understand prophecy you're not gonna be say very long when I first got saved for you seven years ago I read the book of Revelation a prophetic book and I sell for 216 it declared the end from the beginning I wanted to know how this thing was going to end so I looked in the book of Revelation and a solar revival in Revelation chapter 1 you see John I know the element Padma's a band for the word of God but John I was in trouble put it in kill my brains because I was in the spirit on the Lord's Day and I mess around his soul Jesus that change goals he showed up and he had on a row he hadn't eaten help on his Crossley garment and he said he was dead and I'm getting ready to remind the churches huh and then so he told him to write to seven churches I know it's just one church and he wrote to the church at Ephesus said you lost your first love he wrote to the church in my entire so you got too many preacher preaching that ain't got no license for real he wrote to the Church of Pergamos he said I know you in ears that were trouble heal but you're the light of the world in the soul of the earth he wrote to the church as Sardis say strengthen those things that are ready to die he wrote to the Church of Laodicea say you ought to be hot but you're told you're lukewarm ah therefore not your eyes with eyesalve he wrote to the church at Philadelphia he said you're the one I'm looking for he's the only church that he did not rebuke he says I'm giving you the keys and whatever you bind she'll be pal and when he gets through talking to the church and I'm out of here pastor asks your neighbor are you tired of having Church I think was timbala me in this said I'm all churched out please let me by the doors of the church of open when you look at revelation after he gets to rebuke in all seven churches chemica what the nomination what church every church fall under those seven churches and then when he gets through writing to the seven churches in Revelations 2 and 3 he said I heard a trumpet follow me up and I walk through a door look at your name is said the doors of the church I hope are not matter of fact what I'm really trying to say is the doors of the church are closed it's time to stop having earthly church and walk to the next level we're really worshiping it was through that door then he saw the elders not watching his back today but the elders took their crowns o you the no strength of the church not by the choir but watch how the pastor prays watch how the elders casting down their golden pow [Music] [Applause] cause of the pastor can't get his praise old if the food ain't good enough come on you chefs you know what is light if you cooking the food the reason you only eat because you've been tasting it the whole while you've been preparing it so if he know fire something wrong with the service and look out for the elders look out for the Demon Lord I'm sorry the Deacon board tell me you do they clap their hands three cheese I'm almost through here so then the Catholic congregation because my Bible teaches me how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together it is like the ointment that flows down from the head to the beer just to the double to the seasoned ones down to the skirts to the body and when that oil starts flowing from the pastor to the biggest to the elders then everybody in the house goes up together there the Lord commands a blessing that made the sickness got to go the castle got the goal the other party's gotta go [Applause] and there they began to worship they began to worship and watch this and I'm true prophecy this was a little I Cathy and he said I saw four creatures one look like a calf another look like a lion another look like a man and another look like an eagle I pray that when this is over its prophetic that you will start looking like one of those four qualities you just walked into a cap anointing and ox that means you'll be able to carry your load you look even though you're a man you got problems you've got sicknesses and everything that would stop you but Jesus whipped the enemy as a man and then you will start looking like a lion therefore won't nothing turned you back he's the king of the jungle and the last of this prophetic point is you will start looking like an eagle I pray this week that you would not look like a backyard bird a chicken that can't get off the ground you won't look like a sparrow that only can fly about 20 feet in the atmosphere but you would take on in this revival as you walk through these open doors and Eagle quality and I have pulls it by anything with this question have you not known that you not heard nobody told you yet that the everlasting God the creator of all the ends of the earth faint if not and neither is he weary he gives power to the faint there is no searching of his understanding but even the you shall faint and grow weary and young man shall utterly fall but they that wait upon the Lord and she would shall mount up with wings as they i believe you can fly I believe you will touch the sky [Music] spread your wings like an eagle and fly away I believe you will soar see you walking through you open doors I believe you can fly I believe you can fly I believe you can may the Lord bless you may you take may you take prayer praise and prophesy until you become everything that God has created you to be God bless [Applause] come on bless the Lord all over this place again for pastor green I don't know about Yeoh Jackson say man everybody say man again turn to the person said massage just tell them it's good to be a city-wide sad to them like you mean to tell them it's good to be a city-wide amen amen certainly we thank the Lord for blessing us to be here at the genesis of our annual citywide revival and we certainly thank God for all of the pastors who are here certainly vice-president of January and vice president Alexander the two men who stand at my side in the leadership here at the minister's conference our secretaries here Pearson our new secretary stand up man so they can see you a man smilk Pearson thank God for him a man and I'm pointing out our financial people for a particular reason I just won't do that so we we thank God for them a man and we are just bubbling over to have again with us pastor told them more you [Music] [Applause] old man behind we just reconstructed our fuse from last year so I don't even know why I'm putting our through this again so we have to reconstruct the pubes again so we are more than grateful to have him we thank God for pastor Steve green new cane amen and share the word with us amen amen so thank God for all of you now what I want to do is receive our offering tonight so Brooks if you guys come on I saw Billy you hold your seat here you will on the round two come on Brooks and Macon come on thank God for a retired secretary dr. Hammond says that prayer and preaching go together but not only does he need your prayers listen we are who we are he needs your a man a man now he's much younger than I am but I tell people and I'm preaching don't be sitting down nodding at me I may not be looking your way say something turn to the person sitting next to yourself say something so while he's preaching we're gonna say something a man Donal Fitz were you'd on offense is gonna do a preparatory old song and the next voice you hear is gonna be that order on the dance team pastor the Fellowship Bible Church the imitable dr. right because the Lord is maja I have everything on DD he lets me rest in the meadow grass and he leads me beside the quiet stream here's for the most is why I'm safe I'm delivered when this is well do this is the day the Lord has made yeah [Music] [Applause] well that's what we come to church to do I know she's not the only one there God been good to you somebody take a minute to think of some reasons why you ought to get in Lord [Music] [Music] tell somebody I got a writing a reason to praise them tonight I don't have to wait to the last night to give him glory I can give him glory right now [Music] [Applause] because he's been just that good I said he's been just that praise God that I don't just have a Sunday praise every day is a day of Thanksgiving we honor our Heavenly Father his son I saved in the Lord Jesus Christ who hung for six hours one Friday and died and to death died three days later he comes out of the grave not as a weakling but with all power in his hands fifty days later he sends the Holy Ghost to reside and the priests I don't inside of us what a joy it is for us to not just be his creations but his children enjoy the know that after all we've been through we still have our right minds for he will keep you in perfect peace as you keep your mind stayed on him we honor our host pastor our chieftain tonight doctor yo Jackson mo Hebner celebrate this wonderful man of Valor to all of the pastors that comprise the Birmingham Metropolitan Baptist ministers conference I want to thank them publicly as I have privately again for entrusting me with this responsibility share the gospel of Jesus Christ for this this series of services one thank God for all of you the men and women of God they love the Lord and are called according to his purpose I don't take for granted that I'm supposed to be here there are plenty of their options of voices for this week so I want to thank again this fellowship of clergy who again have asked me to come and to be back in Birmingham Alabama a man it's good to be here and it's good to be alive in the land of the dying it's good to be in this place once again and it's good to know that I'm around some people who don't mind giving God the praise [Music] [Applause] it is my custom for series of services such as these like I wait until the last night to greet people and to speak and to shake hands and so I don't want anybody to think that if I leave out I'm acting funny I'm not acting funny but I have to preserve myself a man it's one of me and it's a lot of y'all and so we just wait til the last night and so I will be you would be prayerful for me as I'm praying for you and then that God will bless us in a wonderful way this weekend that we would be revived to carry out the work of ministry if it is your custom that you stand for the Word of God asks that you would do so I want to summon your senses and invite your intellect to the gospel that has been recorded by John I don't want to lift up a familiar passage of Scripture out of John chapter 9 the Gospel of John chapter 9 and I want to begin reading at verse number one if my math should read it as Jesus passed by he saw a man which was blind from his birth and his disciples asked him saying master who did sin this man or his parents that he was born blind jesus answered neither has this man sinned nor his parents but that the works of God should be made manifest in him I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day the night is coming when no man can work as long as I am in the world I am the light of the world when he had thus spoken he spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay and said unto him go wash in the pool of Siloam which is by interpretation sent he went his way therefore and washed and came seeing the neighbors therefore and they which before had seen him that he was blind said is not this he that sat and baked some said this is he others said he is like him but he said I am he therefore said they unto Him how were your eyes opened he answered and said a man that is called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said unto me go to the pool of Siloam and wash and I went and washed and I received sight then said they unto Him where is he he said I do not know I won't tag this text I see the light and be seated in the Lord's Church you can give me just a little bit more volume on the monitors here on the pulpit I appreciate that thank you so much it is John's divine assignment and personal thesis to present the Lord Jesus as God he pushes the envelope beyond Matthew Mark and Luke who have an accurate yet safe perspective Matthew says that he is a king mark says he's the son of man Luke says he's the son of God who is in the posture of a social activist who lifts up the calls of those who were the least the low on the left out but John pushes the envelope beyond the human realm into the divine realm to make a claim that from his perspective is his revelation of Jesus but from everybody else's perspective it is blasphemy so John takes a risk gets himself in trouble to say that Jesus Christ was not just a king he wasn't just the son of man neither wasn't just the Son of God it was God in flesh so he spends the rest of his book trying to explain one verse in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God he spends 21 chapters trying to explain one verse and he's already flunked in his thesis because he used the word beginning because to suggest that Jesus is God is to have no beginning but he's just doing the best he can this is hard it's hard yard to use human language to describe God it's just it's just rough the best he can do is with the limited language he has but if he is going to pitch Jesus as God he cannot begin with Mary's womb he's got to begin before Mary's wound to discuss the life of Jesus before the birth of Jesus so there is no genealogy in John's Gospel there is no birth in John's Gospel he has to go back into eternity and trying to discuss Jesus in in terms of eternity but he also if he's going to establish the argument that Jesus is God he's got to pitch these moments in Jesus life where Jesus did things only God could do [Applause] [Music] [Applause] because if Jesus is God I can only convince you that Jesus is God if they're clear signs that he does godlike things thus there's one there's this content in John's Gospel that is not in anybody else's gospel one of them is tucked away here in John chapter 9 he is ending this particular section of his book where Jesus is attending a series of Jewish festivals and he is not just attending the festival he is pitching and making himself the focus of the festival in this section between in John's chapter 5 and tend as a series of festivals that Jesus is attending and he is replacing symbols with substance John chapter 5 he attends the festival of Sabbath and there at that hospice is the Pool of Bethesda where there's a man there who cannot walk he's been that way for 38 years the focus the focus of that particular festival was work or the absence of work and thus Jesus pitches himself working on the Sabbath while everybody else is all [Applause] John chapter 6 r attends the festival of Passover it is that reminder of where God released his people from the bondage of Israel and walked them through the desert and fed them bread and mana and Jesus replaces the symbol by telling them he is bread John chapter 7 and 9 he attends the festival of Tabernacles of which the focus there is water and light jesus said I am water in John chapter 8 he says I am the light of the world and here is where we camp out in John chapter 9 John chapter 9 pastor Hammonds is his exegesis on being the light in John chapter 8 and here's the joke of the tech show he pitches his statement in John chapter 8 verse 12 and says I am the light of the world and then he conducts the S exegesis on verse 12 I am the light of the world but proves it through somebody who can't see light John chapter 9 if we if we if we have an honest attempt dr. who is suffering from congenital blindness he's born blind he came in the world blind that this distant one where we have record where he suffered from congenital blindness his disciples who have who have pulled out their badges of holiness said Jesus why is this guy blind is he blind because his mom and daddy or is he blind cuz his own sins what's the reason first of all they don't have the right motive because the first thing they did was associate his sickness with sin so do you all know this guy personally that would give you some kind of authority to pull out their fallacy Oh are you so familiar with him that you think he's not good enough for Jesus to deal with their motive is not right not only is their motive not right their logic is not right listen at what they say cuz he sinned is he blind because of his parents sin or his own sin that's jacked up yo cuz if that's the case you're suggesting that he's sinned in the womb [Applause] which you wouldn't be able to know I'll see anyway even if it was possible that's not even something that you would even be cognizant over so their logic is wrong their motive is wrong and their perspective is wrong can I tell you why their perspective is wrong because they're focused on the origin of his issue and Jesus is focused on the outcome listener what Jesus said Jesus said neither him or his parents sinned but this was done for the glory of God y'all missed it so much right again aka that's none of your business y'all missed it I'm not answering your question because I designed this by prearranged challenge so that my name give you everybody's been trying to figure out what is this fault what is what is this spit for well first of all it was a giveaway because when he spit it became clay and not mud when you and I spit it don't make clay [Applause] but when Jesus speak it became clay if I spit is mud if he spits is clay because it's in alignment with John's thesis to present Jesus as God y'all mr.sarma shot myself ladies and gentlemen the man was born blind and since he was born blind Jesus is not trying to restore his sight [Applause] Jesus is trying to give him sight for the very first time so Jesus mimics what he saw his daddy do cuz in Genesis chapters 1 & 2 he took dirt and formulate the human body and breathe into some divine substance and you and I are the result of dirt and divine substance and in charge he does it all over again cuz I'm not trying to restore his sight I'm trying to give him sight for the very first [Applause] so he only does it y'all to confirm his deity but he secondly does it to correct the defect past Jackson I'm a little slow right here so y'all got to help me he puts clay on the eyes of a man who can't see and tell him to go wash in a pool that's outside of Jerusalem now that means that God has healed me in an area where I used to need you so now you've already picked up on the fact that now that I don't met Jesus there's an area in my life where you ain't necessarily know more and I preach it adhere to somebody that wit you met Jesus some of your friends fell off your lifts but they have certain areas in your life but God healed you in area where you don't need [Applause] ain't gotta beg you no more I got site now so I go get my own job I'm not gonna be sitting here waiting on you to give me nothing I can now get up on my own two feet and go do my own thing and now you struggling with the fact that I no longer need you in this area I don't know who this is for but God don't give you vision so you can get to see who been talking about you I apologize I'm sorry this is they say for real they say for real cuz we got three more months to do this he said yes me that's been they said how were your eyes open sir listen what he said listen it the question miss never to answer the question is how were your eyes open good answer a man named a man they called Jesus made clay put on my eyes totally go watching the pool and I came back saying gentlemen if it's a real miracle you can't explain it all no no if you can explain it all God didn't do it but if you can't explain it all then car did it cuz there's some elements of your miracle you Jesus because he put the clay on your eyes you didn't see him he sent you to the pool you didn't see him when you come back you didn't see him and nobody called his name so how do you know it verse 1 he's a passerby verse 2 he's mastered verse three and four he's a daytime employee verse five he's a pharmacist verse six he's an environmentalists verse seven and eight he handles the issues surrounding the situation but nobody ever called Jesus name how do you sir who's never seen know his name hey Rashad this is when I want the miracle I didn't just give your sight I gave your sight and your loved members family members died you gonna call his name when you walk in church tonight I don't call his name do I got anybody in here tonight that feels better when you call his name I can't
