you can draw this magic bottle I'm sure you can draw this magic bottle as well because I will guide you through every single step of the process all you need is procreate and the free brushes that are already in the program or you can even follow the tutorial in Photoshop or other digital art software and I know that you can do it because well I believe you don't even need drawing experience to be able to follow this tutorial because I will hold your hand through the entire process just check out all of these works from the previous tutorials that you all share it on Instagram during this tutorial I won't just show you how you can draw this magic bottle but I will also show you basic techniques that you can use in procreate so you will be learning things about the software about the app while you are creating this bottle so that's a fun way to learn let's get started first thing we need is a canvas of course we will be working on a screen size canvas that's just the first option you get when making a new canvas in procreate and what we'll do is we will fill the background color with a dark color I've made a color palette and you can download it through the link in the description so you can use the exact same colors as I'm using you will use that color you can just open the layer palette here and then go to background color just click it and then select that darkest color for our background there we have it let's just zoom out a little bit by pinching and now we will make a drawing guide to make a drawing guide you have to go to the little wrench and then to canvas and turn on the drawing guide and select edits drawing guide and now we will decide the grit size if you've made a screen size canvas they can just use the same option I'm using the same setting we will go for a 200 pixel grit size so now you have the exact same thing I have here let's make it Y Q here you can just adjust the colors of your grit but like a light color and then select done next step is to make a circle or actually a novel we will go to calligraphy your brush library and you will select monoline and you can adjust a stream line a bit if you have a little bit of a shaky hand you can turn off the stream line a bit to make smooth lines but we will use the auto shape anyway so it doesn't really matter let's just turn it up to around 80 and we will select this very light color here and we will make a circle that is five squares high and six wide we can adjust it later probably I don't have it correctly right now but we can select edit shape and we can just move around these handles [Music] and we will make sure that it's six squares wide and five squares in height okay now we have our oval but that doesn't look like a bottle yet of course because our little bottle needs a little neck to make that neck we will use the drawing guide as well but in a different way this time we'll go to the wrench and select edit drawing guide and this time we will select symmetry and you can just keep these settings we will have a vertical symmetry thing and select done this way whatever we draw on the left side will also turn up on the right side and vice versa so let's draw a neck let's start about here trying to make a confident line okay so now we have a neck I think that's I think that's fine let's close up the shape like this so we can fill it by dragging in this little circle into our shape what we'll do now is first just let's just turn off that symmetry and make sure that assists drawing is off so now you really won't have any symmetry going on anymore we can just draw wherever we like and we are going to duplicate this layer you can do that very easily by swiping three fingers down and use copy and paste now we have two placated that layer first thing I want to do is change the color off this layer you can do that very easily by clicking on the layer and selecting alpha lock what alpha lock does is it makes sure that you can only paint on the pixels that are already there so you can only paint on these almost white pixels so you can also only fill that area we're gonna going to fill it with this yeah kind of like a eggplant color there and now we will make this shape smaller let's go to uniform let's turn off magnetics for now this way we can we can make the glass of the bottle you just want a thin edge I think I think this looks nice now let's make the well what's on top of the neck of a bottle not release its head but well the part that's on top here and we will make a new layer for that just by clicking the plus here and we will still be using the monoline brush and let's just select that light color now let me also turn on a drawing guide again the 2d grid that way we can easily see if we put our shapes in the center of everything okay so let's make a a n and an oval let's make a novel it's a little bit beat but that doesn't matter because we can just select edit shape make it a bit smaller I'll make sure that these two handles are exactly in the center and that these are on the horizontal line maybe bit more flat I think something like this is nice and we will duplicate this circle and move it upwards I will use magnetics that way we can easily move it up without I'm moving into the sides it will kind of magnetically stick to the to the oval below just move it up to that line there and this circle this oval we will duplicate again so again swipe down with three fingers and we will leave this oval alone for now make a new layer and we will make a vertical line going from that upper oval to the lower oval and an easy way to do that is to again use that symmetry tool because that way we can easily check if our oval is in the middle let's make a line see our oval is not exactly in the middle I'll just move it a little bit I will select all these three ovals by swiping to the right now let's move it a little bit to the left should be in the center now we will go back to that assistant layer with the symmetry on now let's make a line going up there now we have a perfect bottle ahead and we can we can merge all these layers and we will fill the front here and these little gaps sometimes you get these little openings when filling a small shape like this and you can just draw over it filling those tiny little gaps now let's go to that top this will be the top of the I really don't know what it's called it's a head of a bottle let's duplicate this layer again we'll swipe down with three fingers use copy and paste and we will make this one a little bit smaller make sure that it's in the center I think this looks good and I have to make sure that you merge these two layers so you can fill that gap there um let's turn off that drawing guide now we don't need that okay so now let's make the bottle cap or cork so cork right let's put in a cork we will make another new layer by clicking the plus again and let's select this middle brown caramel-like color and we are still using the mono line brush you know let's turn on the drawing guy with the 2d grid again so we can check if we are still in the center all right let's make an oval hold your pen in place to let it snap to the automatic shape I think this is nice and we will duplicate this layer as well so swipe down with three fingers again copy and paste and we will fill this new layer and make a new layer above this one now we will have to make these sides of the of the cork the front let's pick another color for that let's use this darker color let's use the symmetry tool again so we can make this line on both sides there now we can merge these two so we can fill that front section as you can see we have a little gap here so we'll need to make our cork a little bit bigger [Music] and now of course we need to remove that front of the court and we want to be pretty precise so what we can do is use a selection we will go to that top of the bottle and we will go to the s-shaped ribbon and now select automatic to make an automatic selection of this area and now if we go to this layer with the cork we can use the eraser and just erase this section Aaron as you can see there's a little piece sticking out here or we can just erase that without the selection so now we have a really basic bottle but of course this bottle still needs a little bit of magic so let's start adding that now the first well that's really for real this time let's turn off that symmetry drawing guide let's see if none of the layers our assistant nope none of these are assisted we are going to add a new layer on top of this this eggplant bottle act clam colored bottle a new layer and we will set it to clipping mask and it's time to add the fluid to the bottle now let's use this nice bright blue for that and we are still using the mono line brush and we will make an oval somewhere around here and we can use edit shape and just let it touch that edge of the bottle I think something like this and we can fill it by dragging in that circle and now we of course we don't want just an oval floating in our bottle we need some fluid here as well so we will make a layer below this floating floating oval and we will use this darker blue and let's just make a shape you can't really see it because we have clipping mask on well we will make a shape that is yeah just make sure that it's connected again somewhere around here just try to use some feeling and fill that shape so because it is clipped to the layer below you can paint on the entire canvas but it will only show up on that act lamp bottle eggplant color bottle so now we have filled our bottle with fluid but this fluid looks really kind of boring doesn't it it misses that touch of magic so we need to add that we can do that by clicking on this dark blue layer and setting it to alpha lock perhaps you remember from the other layer that we have alpha lock turn on you can only paint on top off the pixels that are already there and now we will change our brush we will go to airbrushing and select the soft brush and we will do a little tweaking we will set our brush under general you'll go to the general option and then to blend mode and we will set it to color Dodge and now we're going to add some magic by adding some color let's pick that bright blue now let's just add some random magic effects just vary the shape the the size of your brush and make some some dots now we can also use this purple hair also add some different effects let's let's turn this soft brush to screen to add some purple magic now imagine that this would be a real magic potion what would you wanted to yeah what kind of effect would you want it to have I know that if I could make a magic potion I will probably go for a potion that would give me super speed so I would be able to get well get way more stuff done in one day let me grab that light blue again maybe make a stroke here and on this side it's like a little bit of a reflection on the bottle and we can also turn our soft brush to multiply that's under darken and let's also make some darker spots it already looks so much better this way if you are enjoying the tutorial so far if you enjoy watching these fully narrated digital art tutorials then you might consider checking out my patreon page because actually I have shared a video about painting a magic bottle there as well it's just not a stylized bottle like this one but it's a more realistic looking bottle so if you want to push your digital art even further if you want to take that next step then consider checking out my patreon page and perhaps yeah joining me there to watch even more digital art tutorials maybe a little bit of light on this side there let's also give some magic to the other part off of the fluid the top part again don't forget to select alpha lock so you won't be able to paint outside of the pixels that are already there let me use multiply first because this area is pretty light I want to darken it up a little bit by using that blue dark blue and just make some random random shapes and I'm looking forward to seeing your magic bottle and to see where you will come up with let's go to lighten and to color dodge and use that light blue again and I like to make a very bright edge here and because we have alpha lock turn on this is very easy and you can you can apply this to other drawings as well I think this is a good way to learn the basic techniques the basic stuff and procreate and yeah you can apply them to your own creations I'm gonna grab I'm not sure I'm not gonna grab anything I'm gonna go to screen this time and I will select this very light color and I will make this bended line here there this looks pretty magical I think let's move to this gap this area which I really don't know the name of you know but I know that this is the neck but what's that it's the cork I don't know it's like it's caller let's remind let's put the soft brush back to normal turning back to normal let's go to that unidentified area and again we will use alpha lock because we don't want to be painting all over the painting you want to be painting on that area specifically and we will select this great ish blue now we still have a soft airbrush selected now let's just go over this area and we will make this area here a little bit darker and we will make a lighter area here so I'll make multiple passes here and now we can move towards this darker blue and as you can see I'm making vertical strokes and the opacity is set to what is it 37% so I can make multiple layers call our before it's getting really dark you can slowly build it up this way and right here we want it to be very light let's move to that top plane and again select alpha lock and we will make this side darker let's move to discolor first and like I said you can download the color palette for free through the link in the description so you will be able to use the exact same colors but of course you don't have to if you want to use your own colors please go ahead you won't be hurting my feelings just yeah do whatever you want let's pick this lighter color and add a little bit of light here maybe a little bit of this bright blue yeah I like that and a little bit on this layer as well that side plane yay alright let's move on to the cork so we'll have to go to another layer let's begin with the top and let's select alpha lock again and you know by now what that does right we can only paint on the pixels that are already there now for this cork we will be using the grunge brush which is under textures and let's pick that darker one first now let's go over that a little bit what this brush does is it gives a little bit of texture to our quark maybe I want to go even a little bit darker there let me put that in the pallet as well now of course I spent a lot of time preparing for a tutorial like this and I have drawn multiple bottles before I was confident that I could replicate this in a tutorial but of course every time my bottle ends up a little bit different and that's why I am free to change the color palette while I make this new bottle let's pick that a light color also so it changes a little bit every time every time I draw it I expect your bottle to look very different as well I expect it to be your bottle and not mine okay we will go to that side huge side of the cork layer and select alpha lock again and we will add this lighter color to the sides a little bit and of course we also need that darker color there now we have a nice base texture for our pork but I want to add a little bit more let's go to that top again and go to spray paints and use the flicks flicks some nice word okay let's add some flicks not too not too many I'm gonna go for this star color and I think yeah a flick snow flakes look nice on a quark so nice flicks so clicks here maybe some light flicks some Netflix yeah this looks cool all right I want to add a little bit more of a light edge there so what we can do is go to airbrushing and use the soft brush again and we will tweak it again we will go to screen so that's under general blend mode and then turn it into screen and screen makes everything lighter unless you're using black then it's not working yeah this is nice yeah I also did a little bit on this layer it's a little bit of a light edge okay our bottle is starting to look a little bit magical but yeah we have the magic in in the fluid but we want some shine on that bottle right so we're gonna make some shiny reflections do that we will make a new layer above that fluid layer and we don't need to use clipping masks or anything we just need a new layer and we will select this light color it's almost not a call it's almost white and we will have to go to calligraphy and to monoline again now let's first make a big oval go to edit shape to adjust it just a little bit move it around something like this and then then just drag the color into there and then you can click on this big capital m and slide down the opacity all the way to let's say 25% and make a new layer on top of this one then we'll make a smaller oval just edit shape again I think this is nice and fill it by dragging in the circle again and let's do an oval here very small one [Music] beneath that I will make a new layer now let's zoom in a little bit and I will make a rectangular shape be sure to close it and let's turn down the opacity for this one as well again to 25% there let's add one more reflection I want a nice shiny one here on the side and I will do that by making a new layer again we have lots of layers already any big circle and I want it to be here this edge almost on the edge yeah I think something like this and let's fill it and now we want 99% of this circle we want it gone and we are going to do that by using the mask tool where is it there it is mask and by using a mask you can mask a lot of or just a little bit of the pixels that are on a layer so you have turned it to black now everything that is black on a mask will mask what's underneath it so if we make a circle mouth like this you see that that black is masking everything on the layer we can tweak this circle a little bit let's let's do this and now we can fill this circle that is actually black on the mask we can fill it with black and now everything is gone well it's not really gone it's still on the layer but it's masked by two layer masks now we're gonna do a little bit more on this layer mask we're going to airbrushing and use soft brush and we still have a sense of black and our opacity is at what is it it's let's say 35% and now we can erase well not really race we can mask I don't know why isn't it working well it's not working because I forgot to set it back to normal it scream out and like I said if you're using black and you have it set the screen nothing will happen so we have to put it to normal now if you paint over that area with the brush set to normal you can fake these edges a little bit and give it a little bit more of a subtle effect and you could do the same to other reflections using a soft brush you can make a kind of a smooth gradient you're almost there we're almost finished but let's add some final touches of magic to add that final touch of magic we are going to add a glow to the surroundings of this bottle and we will do that by adding a new layer all the way to the bottom you have to move it underneath that white bottle and we will set this layer to color Dodge it's under lighten and to color Dodge and we will use the soft brush which is set to normal but our layer design is set to another blending mode now let's first pick this dark blue and we will paint a glow underneath the bottle there and we'll make another layer on top of this one by clicking the plus and we will set this one to scream yeah let's just use the dark blue for now in the middle here we will add a light area s if that magic potion that's in there as if it's glowing let's also crap this lighter blue it's a really nice glow and finally let's go back to that color dodge layer and we will select that dark very saturated blue and let's add some magical particles that are floating around space in which this bottle is standing we will use a small size brush we are still using that airbrush and just make some dots surrounding the bottle make it a bit smaller vary the size of the particles that way you're giving it a little bit more depth the smaller particles will be more in the distance and the bigger ones will be closer to the viewer now let's also use the brighter blue here's our magic bottle I hope you enjoyed following this tutorial and be sure to share your results of this tutorial because I really like to see it and maybe you will see your artwork in my next video if you have followed my other tutorials and you haven't seen you work at the beginning of this video don't worry there were just so many artworks that I couldn't show them all but just keep growing keep painting and maybe you will see your work next time in the next video and I will see you next time for the next you can draw this tutorial have
