we ask you to move here right now in the name of jesus father we ask you to heal right now we ask you to touch right now god because god if you touch god you touch everything and we ask you to touch friday i could have lost my life on southern boulevard i was out there on the highway and because of god's quick direction and because i heard his voice i looked to my left and i was able to avoid the accident by getting off the highway but i praise him on today who wouldn't want to serve a god like this and just a few days prior to that my friend and co-worker wasn't so lucky cedric lost his life when someone hit him with a truck on his motorcycle he was just parked there but god when i thought about cedric my hands went up in the air and i said god i thank you you bless me one more time you deliver me one more time and you crown me with love and kindness and tender mercy and for that i'm grateful today i have two two uh verses i want to share with you on today to encourage your hearts thank you jesus quickly and i'm gonna get out your way i'm gonna be coming from job 13 and 15 and habakkuk 3 and 18 the verse says though he slay me yet will i trust in him habakkuk 3 18 says yet i will rejoice in the lord our joy in the god of my salvation when you read the first verse or the first word of the verses you know it follows a lot of trouble habakkuk and job had a lot of trouble in their life a lot of hard times a lot of heartaches hot a lot of hardships and a lot of pain and those brothers put it on the record yet in spite of what i went through in spite of the dictionary defines yet which means in spite of or a but or still when things go terribly wrong i want to tell you this morning there's a yet in a way yet is a comforting word because you know things are about to change for the better how many of you know trouble don't last always there's a change coming and it's coming for the better sometimes when things are difficult and times get hard we have a tendency to complain and we forget that there's a god but i'm here to tell you this morning that we serve and in spite of god we serve it all wise god we serve a butt god who likes to interrupt the work of the devil he's working when you don't see him he's working when you don't feel him but i hear brother job said i will trust in the lord when i can't feel him i'm going to trust him when i can't trace him i'm going to trust him when i feel like i can't hear him i'm gonna trust him in my darkest hours i'm gonna trust him don't he slay me yep well i trusted him brother how about i will i don't have a choice in the matter cause when i think of the goodness of jesus and all that he's done for me i've decided to i will rejoice in the lord i will join the god of my salvation so the next time you're dealing with a disaster or something that scares you to death like you did me on friday i want you to know that you gotta get to the yet and when you get to the end you know that it's yet possible for things to turn around then you can reach a place where you can rejoice in the lord the god of my salvation he's the god of my salvation yes he is without a doubt he's the god of my salvation yes he is want somebody say yes he is yes he is yes he is yes he is and because he is why don't you please him in here today why don't you praise him like it's your last day why don't you praise him hallelujah like you in your right mind give god the glory give him the praise because he's worthy he's worthy he's worthy to be prayed does anybody got a yet crazy it is [Music] [Music] wow i believe it's elder children he would always say it's easy to praise the lord when everything is but can you praise him when all hell is breaking out in your life the early part of this year i got a diagnosis of cancer [Music] i went through my treatment when i get praying in my spirit everybody gotta get praise and experience no matter what they're facing no matter what you're going through i gotta yet praise him i didn't slow down oh one thing i knew god said i'll never leave you nor will i forsake you i don't care what you're going through he'll never leave you lord help us take you along i'll be with you going through no matter what it seems like sometimes you just have to call god to let his power fall let his power saturate the atmosphere and god we're calling on your power this morning those who to do what the spirit they takes to us instead of us dictating to him let him dictate to us how to worship you in spirit and in truth heal those that are sick save those that are lost change in the house of the lord and here in birmingham and nx4 we're so glad you're all here with us on today and those that are also on facebook and all the different platforms we have that you're watching we appreciate that we thank you for uh tuning in because i know that god has a word for us today we've enjoyed the worship and the praises services everywhere i've watched i've been watching uh them and the lord has really come in and every one of them i thank god for that i honor the lord who's certainly the head of my life to our wonderful co-pastor in his absence today but also we thank god for ella davenport for doing such a tremendous job and putting this all together it takes some coordinating between all the three services uh so so so sometimes i have to come up because the other two servers are waiting for us to come up so we thank god uh for for everything and and also we thank god for a co-pastor uh in birmingham uh to ella glenn dreading and to ella brannon to dayton is over officiating in uh nx4 service and at eight o'clock servers were jamming this morning i mean god came in that service of my law i was on the back and i started to jump off but i thought about myself and had something called common sense tell me this just don't do that don't do that today uh i honor the ministerial staff or deacons everywhere and to the the ushers you know it's just a wonderful job at all locations i appreciate you doing uh such a good job also i honor my wife on today to say man for my wife lady jay and to my sister gwen serving you back in service again it's your hard-headed self god bless you pressed her way to church don't supposed to be here but she pressing her way to church i believe god gonna do something for you today man uh i uh uh would love to uh say this i thank god for uh i was out last weekend and we had a few emergencies that did come up uh a sister chasing's son was shot three times and uh survived it he's in the hospital right now but shot three times and i just want to thank the prayer warriors and the co-pastors for for coming in the ministerial staff for coming in and seeing about uh him and and consoling uh uh such a chance uh chasing at a time like this also you know just it's good to know that you know i believe that this church should run off one person uh jesus is the head but he have many people in here that can are capable and i thank god for that capability being shown on last week amen and now we're going to do it again i would buy myself last week we're going to ladies and gentlemen we're going to leave and do it to ourselves this time we hadn't spent no time together and i don't know when and so we're going to share with you with each other this week don't be mad get glad for them amen i'm going to rejoice when you rejoice or not but it's such a refreshing time i spent some time with the lord i didn't just sleep or try to rest i would just rest god let me rest my mind and get my mind renewed and and i feel so much better i'm here in the name of jesus amen uh i also want before i get in the message i want to say this also uh to people we have some when someone's missing on the media team it's it really has an effect on all the services because so many people are watching from all different kinds of platforms and so i'm asking young people women young girls don't let the guys out do you we are all guys but we want anybody who would like to serve here mother church and nx4 and in birmingham on the media team we need your help so we can get better shots we can always help somebody on and so if somebody's ever out we don't have to worry about who's going to fill in i don't believe that you should be 1d one person shouldn't know everything it should be at several people so so something go wrong service goes on as normal so we ask you to volunteer call the office and uh and and you get asked for here for ex for uh elder uh sherrod graham and get it they'll make sure you get in touch with you and in birmingham we actually call deacon dwayne mcdaniel or my daughter elder courtney down here man are you ready for a word from god not going to be long at all but i have uh you know seriously going so good today everywhere i said why did i come back i could have stayed gone and uh uh but i have a word for for the service today i want to call your attention if i can um to a passage of scripture that i feel like is gonna gonna bless us this morning if you go with me to philippians chapter 4 verse 4 from the king james version it says rejoice in the lord always and again i say rejoice hallelujah let's read that from the living bible now it says always be full of joy in the lord i say it again rejoice let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you do remember that the lord is coming soon don't worry about anything instead pray about everything tell god your needs and don't forget to thank him for his answers if you do this you will experience god's peace which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand his peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in christ jesus and now brothers uh as i close this letter let me say this one thing fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right think about things that are pure and lovely and dwell on the fine good things in others think about all you can praise god for and be glad about it amen uh you know as i was uh this week i was beginning to reminisce in my mind about all the things that god has done for me all my life uh when i look back and trace my my whole life back uh it's just good to sometimes reminisce and you go back over your life you begin to see all the things that god did do for you and the things that could have happened that didn't happen how god saved me out of so many different situations and still i'm here and i'm clothed and in my right mind i thank god for those things and when i think about those things my soul becomes full of joy um sometimes we you got to understand that this world has came to grips with itself and let me digress here i need to say this for a moment uh we uh uh we have we had the loss on i would when i turned my phone really off when i left here and i saw this afterwards when i on the way back uh but deacon rick randall lost his great aunt would have been would have been 100 years old on october 9th let's keep him in prayer his great his great auntie also i don't know if he saw my sister aslan shanks uh her daughter tawanda brown sanders has been missing since july 16th last seen the eastdale mall here in montgomery so i want to be in a prayer that she be found amen now let me get back into the word uh this is the world now we set up basically by opinion and the whole world now uh uses their opinion and it's become such a big deal because our society is now ran off opinion uh if you look at it started with uh social programs like uh phil donahue back in the day and then it progressed on to oprah winfrey and to all the talk show hosts people giving their opinions about what life is and how things are they begin to testify about their lives and people have opinion then the news uh reporters you begin to have shows and say what do you think about this your opinion your opinion and then it's get down to a point where you even when you get into the realm of uh like for example the the realm of uh just in everyday life situations people are evaluating each other by their opinion and now many people are led by their opinion and many opinion is formed by an emotion and and when you look at the definition of opinion it means it says a view or judgment formed about something in someone's mind not necessarily based on fact or knowledge but based about how one feels about an issue and so now the world is full of opinion and if you're not careful you'll judge your whole life by an opinion and so now the way you see things the way you look at things you look at others and maybe others are being blessed more than you are and sometimes your opinion is that god uh loves someone else more he loves me or and then if not not careful some people will go after what you have because they can't stand the fact that you are happy about something let me just tell you but about joe because we're going to talk about with joy and rejoicing today but one thing i noticed about a joy and that joy is is that when people your enemies greatest fear or greatest discomfort is when they see you happy when they see you joyful and happy about something that upsets your enemy to the point where they will want to either cause some type of disturbance in your life to drain that from you but that's what i want you to understand that's why the enemy has been after the saints of god so much in the in in so many forms and fashion because he's been trying to drain us of our joy the old saints used to tell us the reason why some people would backslide is because the joy of the lord came from the holy spirit and so when people were backsliding when they come back to god they said what happened to your baby is that you lost your joy now what what is joy joy is it's not just a happy feeling but george which pete the people of god should have is a holy and pure the joy rises above circumstances and focuses on the very character of god that's why in scripture read it says in nehemiah when they had read the scripture and they the people had not heard the word of god or the law of god written in years they saw how they felt short and the bible says uh nehemiah had to tell they they got very sad and then i said listen this is not a day to cry or be real you need to fix a meal fix yourself up and begin to praise god because the joy of the lord is our strength what does that mean joy of the lord is our strength i've taught this before but i need you to really get this the joy of the lord our strength is that we change our attitude based on the fact that god is doing something for us and prepared something of truth for us we're not guessing about it god has given us a word where we're celebrating god for what he has done for what he is doing and for what he's going to do i remember when i was a child you know my mama would uh you hear me talk about my mom all the time in the kitchen because that's some great memories in there but mama will be up but cooking some at night one of the best meals you could have at night for we call it supper and that the best meal was when mama was cooking some buttered rice some salmon some eggs hallelujah go to god and some homemade biscuits and we used to just to smell the aroma of that hello it gave us appreciation that we could hardly wait to get there so there was a joy knowing that god had that mama had something getting she was getting it ready for us wasn't ready but we could smell it coming together right now you need to understand that you maybe look at your situation maybe you're sad about it right now but you need to start how to get a whip of what god is really doing for you and you'll begin to understand instead of my bad circumstances there's something in the air hallelujah there's something hallow that god is putting together right now he's cooking up something just for you that's gonna satisfy you more than you can realize somebody give god a praise now let's go to another word of god for a minute let's go to john chapter 16 verse 20. let's read this from the the message bible it reads uh then fix this firmly uh in your minds john 16 and 20. you're going to be in deep mourning while the godless world throws a party you'll be sad very sad but your sadness will develop into gladness in other words it will turn into joy when a woman gives birth she has a hard time there's no getting around it but when the baby is born there is joy in the birth this new life in the world wipes out memory of the pain the sadness you have right now is similar to that pain but the coming joy is also similar when i see you again you'll be full of joy and it will be the joy no one can rob from you you'll no longer be also full of questions this is what i want you to do ask the father for whatever is keeping with the things i've revealed to you ask in my name according to my will and he'll most certainly give it to you listen this your joy will be a river over flawless banks and let's look at that first verse again the first verse we read it says you're going to be in deep mourning while the godless world throws a party in other words that the whole world is going to the king james says the whole world is going to be rejoicing over your sadness hallelujah so that tells me the enemy can help can have joy and rejoice with that you got to understand what the difference between joy and rejoice joy is that the thing when you begin to focus on the character of god and me and your attitude change instead of being so overwhelmed by your circumstances you're overwhelmed by what god is going to do for you so that joy becomes from god if you begin to get excited about what god is going to do hallelujah joy is not what happened it's what's going to happen hallelujah hallelujah thank you jesus it's a preparation for what's to come and so because you have joy you rejoice hallelujah you rejoice that means you put your joy into action some people run around the room some people jump up and down some people say thank you because you got to understand god does not want us to come to him murmuring he does not want us to come in with a sad face what he wants you to enter in his course with what it enters the gates of what i got it backwards let's say it again into his gates with what and into his course with praise so in other words i want you to come to me before you come i need you to have the right attitude even when you come here the word was that even though they were going through hell at the time he still wanted them to come in rejoicing because the key to your success is not your sadness it's your joy y'all don't hear me you you've got to understand when you start rejoicing about what god is going to do and stop griping what he hadn't done you're going gonna see some things happen for you some of us are under tremendous strain right now and we're wondering how we're gonna make it through hallelujah this is the will of god concerning us that we begin to have joy if you don't have it do something to make joy fulfilled in your heart your life sometimes you got to get out of your ordinary and get into an extraordinary and say god i don't have it right now but but but i'm going to leap forward i'm going to keep hallelujah i'm going to keep jumping i'm gonna keep praising until joy comes somebody said we've been man do it for night but sure it comes in the morning somebody give god a praise but look what it says here it says you're gonna be sad hallelujah and many things in our lives have made us sad we've had losses that made us sad we've had things that happened to us that made us sad we have things in our lives that cause us pain that causes us much deep grief and sadness he said but i want you to compare it i'm gonna let you know i don't i had never had a baby neither had jesus but he says he's the creator of all he begin to explain how the process works he says when a woman gives birth she has a hard time hallelujah and there's no getting around it he said but when the baby is born hallelujah there is joy in the birth now you've got to understand the difference here is that when when the god we're in a time on a world where we're trying to get substitutes in other words god remove this from me so i can have some peace and some joy in my life what god said he's not going to do he's not going to take you or the problem away from him he's going to transform it in other words i'm not going to substitute you because what you're birthing through your life right now cannot be substituted hallelujah it's maybe calling you pain right now but i'm going to make the same thing that cause you pain by the time it's done it's going to bring your joy hallelujah hallelujah i don't know what you're going through right now and none of us would have actually signed up for it knowing exactly what was going to happen we did say for god i deliver for god i die you say lord have your way in my life we set those things holly but we sat it with a blank check not realizing that one day we have to pay that price but god bless him i said but god knowing how much we can take we was designed to last past what we're going through he said listen this pain may hurt you right now but instead of substituting and taking you out of the situation i'm gonna transfer the situation for you [Music] there's joy coming out of this i'm gonna say there's joy coming out of this and then he said this sadness that you have right now when i see you again you'll be full of joy in other words when things change i'm gonna make sure hello that you are actually gonna be benefited by what you went through and many uh listen let me just tell you something uh when you begin you gotta understand when you begin to to go deeper in the lord you don't work hallelujah for his presence you weren't from his parents i wish i could get this right everybody said i'm going to work from his presence when i begin to work from his presence i begin to realize that the things i've been going on is through stages i've been going through stages in my life god is developing us to actually what we're supposed to do like the lava it goes through stages before it become a butterfly god has been allowed us to take us through stages of development that we didn't understand hallelujah there's nobody there to explain to the lover when it's born what it's going to have to go through it just automatically goes to you've got to say lord lord you're saving yet what i trust you those things are going crazy in my life i know it's something good coming after this so the joy of the lord is my strength hallelujah i'm going to be glad because i don't have no fear and love i know no matter what's happening in my life i know that god loves me tell somebody god loves me i wish i had some help over here yo somebody says god loves me i wish i had a bass player gonna help me out a little bit come on say god loves me i need somebody to understand that what god is doing how he's been he's getting ready to shift some things in your life you're not going to stay where you are but what you've got to do is hallelujah let where you all know that you've been there hallelujah you know where you are that i'm not defeated you can shout in front of your enemies you can praise god in front of your trouble and say you almost had me but when i start thinking about how god god has done like i stopped doubting him i stopped hallelujah but complained about what he didn't do when i think about what he's done how god could have thrown me away because i know at one point in my life but i was no good to my you i was no good to myself but god brought me anyway because he knew there was a day after the day i was just going through a stage y'all wanna hear what i'm saying huh hallelujah hug thank you jesus but now that i'm serious just have to tell someone now that i'm here hallelujah i'm getting ready to go to the next dimension before i get there i got to give god a praise for where i am because the devil designed her for me to be defeated he thought i was going to give up he thought i was going to throw in the towel but before i leave this dimension uh i'm gonna dance i'm gonna praise him i'm gonna rejoice and be glad someone says this is the day that the lord has made i will rejoice i'll be glad hallelujah right what do you think it'll do for you wrong if what do you think because your heart is right i want you to understand he took the cup as i now do minister in his name and when he accepts saying this is the new covenant in my blood when you drink this you don't do so in remembrance of me so as often as you eat this flesh and drink this cup from this cup you do under the lord's death until he comes is there anybody in this house or in actually nx4 as well or even in your homes you're not saying they need to come to jesus right now here's your opportunity i still have the the the uh where we speak life and healing to those that are sick and god we speak prosperity to them that have lack you're our shepherd we shall not have any lack in our lives so god do that for us now so many people are hurting in different areas in their life hurting in their hearts hurting in their situations and with god you're the holy we're not asking you to take nobody out or something but we are asking you to transform them hallelujah from one place to the next and let them enjoy what made them sad let them bring them joy out of what how what caused them pain in the name of jesus i pray this i decree it right now in jesus name the joy of the lord is our strength amen go in peace amen god bless you and we're going to exit the place in in here and also in uh nx4 we're actually in the ushers to assist
