but it is a move of god and we want to go ahead and stand up and give god the praise and the honor that he deserves i want you to think about how good god really been to you how he protected all of us and how god protected us even while we was on our way to church i want you to get so excited about god that you just start clapping your hands and i want you to really think about his goodness and his mercy think about it even in depth god have already given us the victory oh come on now oh taste and see that the lord is good now i feel so good because i know that god is working some great things out for you and for me and when you think about his goodness it should motivate you to praise him hallelujah we want to give god the praise and honor he deserves because i thought about god goodness had a sudden loss of his son cyril benson martin on friday september 3rd homegoing services will help graveside and tuskegee alabama on yesterday and our thought for the week god specializes in the impossible have faith now let's get back to our worship [Music] amen keep everyone lifted up in prayer i know his his wife just gave a word during the news break but we're going to have elder graham to come up and give us a word from the lord at this time amen if god prays as he make his way [Music] praise the lord everybody praise the lord you know life doesn't always go the way that we plan you know sometimes we go left when we shoot him right right sometimes people will trip us up and at times even our own family and loved ones can throw us off sometime sometimes we're mistreated misled and even lied on but my question to you is what are you going to do what are you going to do when the door of opportunity suddenly closes on you what are you going to do when your debts become larger than your income what are you going to do when a sudden illness takes over a family member or a friend well if we look in the book of acts chapter 16 we see the apostle paul even though he didn't do anything wrong we see an innocent man who was lied on beaten locked up and thrown into prison see paul and his friend silas could have easily done what any of us would have did they could have gotten mad could have got sad frustrated or even given up on god but after all the heartaches and after all the mistreatments that went on what did paul do scripture says that paul started praying and singing hymns to god so what am i trying to tell you i'm trying to tell you that if you can somehow put your problems to the side and focus on god he'll bring you through if you can somehow go to god in prayer and give him a praise he will make ways out of no ways so let me ask you this question again what are you going to do when you don't get that job you won't i'm going to praise god anyway for the bigger and better job that's coming my way what are you going to do when you're tired and you've given it all you had and your back is up against the wall well i'm going to praise him in the advance for making the way when i can't see your way see scripture went on to say that that was suddenly everybody say suddenly a great earthquake that shook the foundations of the prison and immediately all the doors were open and everyone's chains were loosened everybody say chains were loosened so that tells me when i pray and when i praise him everyone that i'm connected to that chain is going to fall off too everyone that you're connected to will see healings they'll see miracles they'll see breakthrough what am i trying to say what you gonna do you ought to give god some praise whenever you're going through it if you want to stand up on your feet right now give god some praise thank you for making the way for you praising it for bringing you out of that bad situation you're in again i say what are you gonna do praise the lord [Music] what got me is the part when he said that if you praising everybody else around you they changed to fall loose too so guess what you may be the door out of nowhere you may be the one to break somebody out you may be the one to show them that they're able to come out i like the way dr ellison said the reason why i know that you coming out because i'm gonna grab your hand in a way where we're grabbing in the spirit and i know you coming across coming out and when we come out we coming out together so on the count of three i'm gonna let you go get it in now you [Music] go ahead and tell somebody that it won't be long now [Music] and tell them that god already made that weight [Music] now guess what that same praise that you had in here you got to take it to your house too oh no no no that same grace you had here when you get on your job go and get yourself a private spot and give god a break when you get back in your car give them a praise all right let's go on let's go on we need time but yeah it's the ministry of giving at this time that's that's that's something that we have to do not just in here but in your car at your home at your job even when you're walking sometime and going in walmart to go shopping and god do something for you come on let's go ahead and get ready to give our offense the ursas are walking but when i think about jesus when i look back on my shoulder and see what the lord has brought me from he's still good somebody give god praise right now i do honor the lord who's served ahead of my life to our co-pastors i'm just trying to get everybody to our co-pastors that are all the locations from from here to birmingham to nx4 we're certainly privileged that you're here to our ministerial staff that's everywhere to our deacons that are at all locations we certainly appreciate you i can see you and and let's just honor you on today i have a word from the lord i won't be long but we do have with us um dr nicole thompson who's a member of this church is the president of the montgomery chapter of jack and jill of america their entire chapter is watching our service virtually this morning we want to welcome them to our service amen of course i i welcome every each and every one of you some may be here for the first time we're so honored in all vocations so have you uh worship with us on today also i i asked my wife to be with us on at nx4 today so she's at annex four we honor lady geon today amen i have a a brief word from the lord but i just want to say that we lost uh a big guy a good man general of the lord uh pastor jose phillips is more like my brother than anything else and uh we without meeting today or the arrangements of his funeral but we're going to be asking you to pray for their family we will let you know as soon as it is to happen but but in the midst of it all god has let us have someone like him that he really loved god i'm telling him he really loved god he loved people and he did everything he could to help anybody he could and he is truly going to be missed so pray for his wife he had just gotten married and pray for his his uh his children and his sisters and just pray for him amen i have a word from the lord it says in psalms 1 19 and 18 it says open thou mine eyes that i behold but may behold the wondrous things of thy law open thou mine eyes that i may behold the wondrous things of thy law you know when you look at the scripture it says so many things a lot of people read the word of god and they they read it and they get enjoyment out of it and refreshment from it and then a lot of people love to read the psalms because they seem to be a little bit more understandable we read different versions of the bible and with these different versions most of us can understand the bible a little better but there seems to be sometimes a problem when you're trying to get an in-depth look when you want to look deeper than you can understand uh this when he said that word of the law the word law here is taken from a word in hebrew called torah which means instruction and teaching but what he's asking for is so his eyes to be open so he can get the deepest meaning the revelation of what this really means and how will it affect me and how does god and what is he really saying i want to know more than the surface you know jesus in matthew chapter 13 verse 11 and i've read the scriptures the scripture many times in matthew chapter 11 13 verse 11 for the message bible this is what he said to the disciples because they want to know why are you telling these parables and these stories about god and about the kingdom of god and he replied to them in verse 11 you've been given insight into god's kingdom you know how it works let me stop there uh and while it says not everybody has this gift this insight it hasn't been given to them well i'm i'm gonna tell you right now my thank you my commitment uh to you to to know is that if you look at the scriptures and the verses after that you'll find that they really didn't they said they've been given permission and the gift to know a thing but yet they don't mean they really knew yet they hadn't actually uh used their gift to know god and it's amazing uh how that he said you've been giving insight to know how god works in the mysteries of god but but but but you don't really you're not there yet it says but whenever someone has a ready heart for this the insights and understandings flow freely but there's no readiness but there's no readiness and trace of receptivity soon appears disappears and that's why i tell stories to create a readiness and that's what i'm praying for god to do is by his spirit create a readiness to nudge us toward a welcoming awakening and he said in the present state that they're in they can stare into doomsday and not see it listen to the blue in the face and not get it i don't want uh isaiah's forecast to be repeated all over again you know when i'm looking at this i'm saying that you know when i look at people and and i listen to people and if you go back and just sometimes listen to yourself we have these things where we talk about faith how we believe god how we trust god how god can do a thing but if you listen to them long enough you're going to see something that disconnected from what they're saying uh if you're not careful because some things we know the right protocol there are actual words to say in regards to be politically correct with our tone as to how we trust and believe god but if you listen and keep talking keep listening to yourself as events take place you begin to notice that you don't really have the faith that you said you really had because at some point you try to save yourself or some at some point you give up on on the of the actual thing that you're praying about once you know what god has decreed to be so we have the right to believe god in absolute faith doubt comes in when we're not sure about what god is saying and sometimes we begin to worry instead of pray and when we're praying we're not we're not just praying uh just to be praying we're praying for answers the answer is god shall i pursue you know what what do i do about this shall i believe for this or should i begin to embrace what's happening in my life right now is this a test is this a trial this or is this something i supposed to come out am i supposed to learn something from this lesson i need to know exactly and that's what prayer does it puts us in the posture with in the place and the attitude of what we should be sometimes we're trying to get out of something that god wants us to be in y'all he'll hear what i'm saying and so here we are we find that he's asking so lord open my eyes so i can see what you're really saying in your word i want to understand you i want to i want to get to know you i just want i don't want to be just one of the people in the crowd that that that has a scripture that we can repeat and shout on it listen right now we are we're in such dire distress and trouble in this world right now we need precision we need to know exactly what god is thinking and what he's going to do next what he will allow what he will not allow we need the keys to the kingdom we need to understand lord shall i believe for this or should i should i bind this should i loose this oh god what should i do about this situation and when you begin to read the bible you've got to have god's help with it you have to have him to illuminate that word and you otherwise you're just you're just reading a story or something you're trying to understand when you begin to read the bible the bible uh and with the holy spirit what he does he will unlock something for you to show you what he's really saying and that's what i've been praying saying lord i need you to unlock some things for me because you've already said my thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways and you say as far the heavens are higher than the earth and the my ways are higher than yours and my thoughts are higher than yours you've got to understand i've preached this so many times that you can actually teach a dog to to to go fetch you can keep teach a dog to heal you can you can teach a dog to bark you even teach them how to use a bathroom but at the same time you can even teach them to go and get your newspaper but then you you bring the newspaper you can't teach him how to read it and the reason why he can't teach him how to read it because it goes beyond his understanding of his comprehension that's why we hallelujah are like in that same position hello we can do things like church folk do we can shout we can praise and we can run around the church and do all those things we can read the scripture we can do all those things but without insight you can't worship right you can't get into that place where you need to be so we've got to say lord i need understanding hallelujah let me tell you something it's almost like this uh when you read the word of god with a supernatural help of god what he does is uh and without without his supernatural help what is like this it's like this not it's two two scenarios one is someone who was is uh was could see and now is blind and they then now the sun is shining on their face and all they can do is feel the rays but they can't see the sun okay let me go even deeper than that in some cases it's like this you've never seen before you're born blind hallelujah and you you feel the sun but you have no idea what it looks like you hear people talking but you don't have no idea what they look like what i'm trying to tell you without the supernatural intervention of god there can be no real understanding don't you understand he said i am divine and you are the branches and without me you can do nothing hallelujah tell somebody i need something more from god tell said again say i need something more from god i feel my help coming on now hallelujah hallelujah tell someone we need something more from god so god unlock your power of your word so i can live my life as it has been designed for you i'm tired of going down detours and and roadblocks and and and things that the enemies put in my way when i don't know what to do you've got to understand is that we've got to get out of this place called worry and you can't worry and pray at the same time do are you listening to what i'm saying i'm not ready to do that just yet okay now the thing the thing i want you to get here is let me just read the scripture to you because i want to share this with you it says in philippians chapter 4 verse 6 says don't fret or worry instead of worrying pray repetitions and praises shape your worries into prayers letting god know your concerns now now the thing is don't get a fear and concern mixed up hallelujah a lot of people are just afraid of everything you're afraid of this because and when you become afraid of things usually people are afraid of things that have never happened and some things never will happen and we worry about things that that that never has happened or never will happen because worry it brings about it let you know that you're uncertain about the next thing that's going to happen so what god said if you just yield your heart to me i will show you how to always know i will let you know that's what he told jesus jesus told his disciples i'm giving you an upgrade i'm i'm upload grading you from being servant to my friend because a servant a master doesn't tell the servant what he's going to do next i just need you to follow but when you are a friend he'll let his friends know and then he said these words he said whatever you ask in my name because now i can give you the blank check you know me well enough you followed me you've been faithful in times of trouble you know you know where i'm going you know i love you you're not uncertain about things you know i won't lead you into evil and i just come to tell you that though i walk through the valley of the shadows of death huh oh yeah well i'm getting old you know they said holy get the lord your voice go okay here we go he said though though i walk through the valley of the shadows of death i will fear no evil now we are surrounded by death and you hear me say sunday after something sunday death coming in all kinds of ways heart attack stroke cancer the coronavirus murder and all kinds of things are happening even some people have been wounded so bad so they're killed in their spirit and they and they're just walking zombies because they have nothing else to live for though you walk through the valley of the shells of death it's shallow as evidence that there's death around you but i come to tell you if you're still alive you're still here there's hope in your life there's glory that's yet to come i need somebody to believe me right now to believe god that you're going to live and not die and declare the works of the lord tell us if i'm going to live and not die and declare the works of the lord you know us preachers got to get used to this because you know we're so used to people they have my mouth open and and now this is the way i looked at so we got to get used to that so if i if i look a little funnier i'll stun a little bit you know why i i'm so used to having some noise come back to me i can't hear you well i mean the thing is is that tell your neighbor don't worry you know in the spiritual definition of words that the energy that we spend worrying can put to much better use in prayer live one day at a time and handle each word as it comes through prayer most of our words never come to pass anyway and those that do can only be handled at the moment at the by the grace of god now what does it mean spiritually the spiritual side of world is an indication of emotional attachments lack of willingness to put forth consistent effort the lack of faith and ultimately a lack of understanding of how life and god can work now you've heard me say this many times i need you to get this you've heard me say this many times when when jesus got ready to cast well he was coming down the mountain that had been he had been transfigured and the thing that they were doing there was such a ruckus going on because the disciples could not cast the demon out of a boy and so everybody would gather around they were talking about them and jesus said what's going on and when they begin to ask questions the father said i brought my son to your disciples and they could not cast the devil out in other words i've been waiting in line like everybody else i've seen this person get healed and i've seen that person get healed i've seen their life change and be turned in a great position but in my son's condition he's acting the same way why is it now that that everybody else getting theirs and i can't get in mind what i've been struggling for he said jesus if you can do anything i want you to heal my son and jesus threw it right back in his face he said if falcon just believe all things are possible you've got to understand somebody give god some praise right now because somebody's getting ready to have some faith in god i'm praying for god to unlock something in you that when you hear a word like this it's not a regular word but a spirit word that this spirit where i can penetrate the darkness in your heart it can penetrate the dial in your heart he said my word is like a sharp sword that cuts asunder between the soul and the spirit i gotta get between what's beginning between you and god i gotta get between what did happen and what didn't happen i gotta get between your doubts i gotta get into your worry and let you know that i'm still gone listen sometimes i have to do this to myself sometimes when i pray for people i got many testimonies this week i got my healing people were texting and and emailing me and you've been calling me so i got my healing and i was excited about that i was telling people even blocking even white uh caucasian people that have been praying for god get that got the mama's healed and all kinds of things happen and when i had a loss when i prayed for my friend i stood outside of his room and cried out to god and pleaded for his life and god would not answer my prayer hallelujah i am crushed by it god while you answer the prayers for others but i needed this for me i wanted you to do it god i know you could that's nothing you can't do huh hallelujah and you didn't do it like i asked you to you know what i thought about it i said i can't be a small brat and get mad at god because he didn't do one thing i asked him to there's greater than you can see you've got to understand now we've got to stop praying the line of sight we've got to pray in the spirit and see what the lord is saying about the situation we've got to understand that god has a plan now you've got to understand uh many have come with us some will not stay with us us say hallelujah there's a lot of friends that i expected when i was a child hallelujah i had a prophetic anointing on my life i cried all the time that i could see the pain that people were in i could see what we were going through hallelujah they called me a crybaby i cried all the time y'all don't hear what i'm saying hallelujah and even so huh i would see death on people i was misinterpreted hallelujah and i thought they were going to die hallelujah i'm sorry i thought i was going to die and so what happened is thank you jesus i began hallelujah to write up my obituary i put people on the program hallelujah i wanted this person to preach this person to read the scripture hallelujah i and what you've got to do now is embrace your purpose and say god nudge me toward my purpose let me see open let me know that they that be with us i'm more than they that be with them tell me how to to do with my selfishness god never does something for just one reason he's so big and so complicated than we can imagine he has all kind of reasons and purposes for everything that happens in our lives sometimes we misunderstand him and we cry about his decisions oh i have cried some tears this week but in spite of all my hurt i still love him he's been so good to me just wave your hands after lord you've been good to me through many tolls and snares too many pains and uncertain moments you prove yourself faithful hallelujah hallelujah come on give god praise give god praise hallelujah hallelujah thank you jesus hallelujah i just want to pray for your insight today i want to pray for god to open your eyes so you will know what to do so you won't panic when you see trouble coming you know that they that be with us are more than they would be with them that you're not out of god's protection you're in the hand they said no man can pluck you out thank you jesus hallelujah i pray for you every single day of my life hallelujah i press i don't just pray one prayer i pray several different prayers over your life to cover you that make sure that you get everything that that's that god has coming and what has i'm telling you in the midst of this craziness god's still going to do something great for you come on come on give god praise in the midst of all the things we've seen god is still god he said i'm going to do it according to my riches in glory have faith in god have faith have faith in god father i pray for our insights our eyes to open so that we can see the way you want us to see to do the things we you want wants to do take worry away from our hearts and god give us how the throw-away doubt uncertainties and things that we may be guessing about hallelujah you have given us the gift of insight hallelujah we know and supposed to know how you work so god give us how to perfect that gift that you've given us perfect and get close to you to know what your will is we already got upset with the disciples of all the things and the demons they had cast out the bodies that healed them dead they had raised the levels they were cleansed and there's one situation you fussed at them and you said how long should i be with you but god i understand why you did now because if they had just spent some time with you and not just working for you but some time with you they would have had the insight to know that the boy couldn't hear so god give us how not to pray by line of sight but by your will hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah no matter what we're going through give us how to say lord not my will let thy will be done hallelujah and we'll give you the glory and the praise god open our eyes whether it's a dream or vision or insight or enlighten us in some way that we can know our direction you know which the way we take and so god if you're going down the wrong way hallelujah shove us over to the right path in the name of jesus i pray for healing for those that are sick and afflicted some they're in the hospital lying on their bed of affliction right now can't even or don't even know they're in the world we come against their sickness and we rebuke death in the name of jesus death for the lord rebuke you in the name of jesus we come against a cancer in the body no matter what kind of cancer it is we come against we come against potential heart attacks and strokes gotta ask right now to heal arteries and and and and cleanse them out god right now you medicate them in the name of so many things that are too numerous to name cataracts should be falling off eyes and all the things you're able to do god bring low high pressure uh uh down and a little pressure up come against the diabetes and all the underlying illnesses that people are having and and god right now we speak it because you said we could so many so many people are burdened by so many things and factors of life and god so many things are coming at people at one time but you are the god that can deliver there's nothing no fire too hot that you can't hallelujah quench there's no berlin to heaven that you can't carry do something right now we pray in the mighty name of jesus and we believe our faith hallelujah we're not just talking but we're believing by faith that it's already done body is a big hill things are being turned around in the name of jesus and god don't let nobody's mind get in the way hallelujah don't let them think analytical and try to process what you can't do but god you can do it right now as we speak let let your breath be upon them let the fire the holy spirit build their bodies right now change conditions in their bodies and their minds and their spirits do it like only you can do in the name of jesus change it around turn it around death how do you have no place here hallelujah we rebuke you in jesus mighty name thank you lord amen god bless you come on give god our praise come on celebrate with you celebrate celebrate our healing when we celebrate hallelujah thank you jesus hallelujah god bless you at this time is there anyone that is not saved that need or backside of you to come back to the lord we open this door for you right now so many people are dying and people need truth now i believe people you know at first they won't hear truth and we have things that tickle their ears but now when people get close to death begin to ask now what do i do you know so is there anyone that's not saved or backsliding you need to be sure about your salvation you need to be sure hallelujah there's so many ways that people can die hallelujah if if you are certain about your salvation you should celebrate god right now if you if you know you're saved i know i'm saved hallelujah thank you jesus hallelujah how many people just know you're saying i'm i'm i'm doubt ready i'm diarrhea i'm not afraid of death thank you i know i don't die anytime soon but when it comes i'm not afraid because jesus promised me maybe a
