Good Old Fashioned Deer Camp

oh no way that was awesome [Music] this is uh it's beautiful out here and freezing cold you've got little icicle ears yeah that's just a true testament of how cold it actually is sun's just come up we got lots of fresh deer tracks but i haven't seen that i haven't seen the actual bodies i'm drawn to the light me too let's go so that's a bit of a bugger up but like this one wow that's not deer it's almost it's a mouse yeah it could be something nice i like when you're frosty i love the walton we've had this i don't know six seven eight years maybe and it's been awesome hello okay let's see this thing what do it turn what turn oh you can't see the lights [Music] what nothing turn that thing around oh wow that's deluxe oh you can't see if you turn no hey dave the girls are making fun of my hair how's uncle babe's hair oh my goodness is it really that bad i guess i'll just put my tooth back on that's much better that's too kid are you ready yeah you got on enough layers because if i can count correctly one two three four five six you're just jealous i think you'll be okay i'm not sure let's go well what'd you get nothing what'd you see lots of sign down there yeah really really fresh yeah that's why we came here to go hunting we beat you i think we are here do you think there's enough hunters here like do you think we could take care of it well nothing tonight nothing today here heroes back in our little wall tent oh this stove is so nice wow oh yeah sun's up it is where's the deer though hmm wow is cool it's a big rock just breaking out chunks look at the colors and the weird formations here it looks look at these pieces here well there's a vein of this stuff it's a real milky milky courtsy looking stuff thank you it looks like it looks like a coral like something grew it what is this stuff that's a weird one look at this it looks like the formation of egg at hey layers like that yeah it's got a milky creamy look to it cream bacon breakfast is calling this makes me nervous when you're filming me because now i feel under pressure don't be under pressure while the eggs are just don't screw up the eggs who how who's crushed all those ones me those are fast those are for me are they the way you like them yeah keeps us warm cooks our food am i talking about the stove for you how is it dave it is marvelous marvelous look at the bacon bacon eggs with bacon toast tell me how it is i want us i want to see this yolk soaked in toast oh yeah [Music] we got uncle dave and we got uncle shawn uncle shawn's out there somewhere with abby the girls did the bacon we even heard any shots yet so one more time i think they're just getting exercise it's a little tiny bowl there's another one over there that was a little tiny bowl too pretty cool huh yeah three little balls not scared of us at all not really i'm not gonna lie they look really tasty we're out here looking for deer but it's always nice to see some animals no matter what well let's keep looking for deer okay reload quick yes guess where were you aiming right at it well girls nice work you hauled it out to the road by yourself and now you're going to load it by yourselves uncle's dream come true no way look at that you should see what we pulled through yeah i did see i walked ahead of you remember i found the best trail you watched that's a doe right here right here it's a mule deer doe for sure [Applause] well i don't know did you get here oh here there's a whole bunch of air right there i don't see any blood right through here oh and there's blood okay starting to bleed okay hey looks like pretty pretty blight bright what does that mean pretty bright well dark blood is like gut blood bright blood is from the lungs it means it's a better shot hey so i think you made a good shot but let's give her some time okay we'll come back look at that guy look at that guy so many moves hey that's five what if you sing that's number six to look at the footage and see if that's the same one we saw before i think it's bigger than the other one didn't have i think so too that one had brows yeah oh cool okay we're back on the trail it's been about 45 minutes so hopefully there was no problem but we just weren't sure how she was hit she's not leaving a lot of blood holy cow she only went 30 yards but no blood that is so weird hey look her tracks oh man there she is christina good job that was a great shot she only went 30 yards 30. we we followed her the first 10 and then thought oh i better back out of here hey here we go and i heard a little rumor about you what did you get up to i got the same kind of deer you did another mule deer dough and how many shots did it take yeah one good job good job you're putting meat in the freezer hey and maybe some for sarah and ethan too hey look right behind the shoulder oh man beauty christina oh wow that's gonna go right isn't that a heart shot that's a great shot dad we get we we made it so we can keep ourselves yeah we're gonna keep the highs i want to keep my ears for what i don't know like gloves or shoes or something that's weird does it look like those ears would fit on your feet around your big toe okay well let's see christie there let's get her back to camp and we'll skin her and maybe fry up a little bit huh abby and uncle dave are probably sitting on a ridge shivering and wondering why there's no deer while we're just shooting them all huh yeah you ready that's it okay hey what'd you get man nothing zero zero what'd you see what mother why i've been moving you must have been too loud yeah i think they saw you i was still they couldn't see me yeah i think they did you stand out like a sore thumb okay well we're having um french toast with strawberries and sausage yes i'll be right back okay wow french toast with strawberries and whipped cream in deer camp down on a wood stove that's the way it should be just cooking in their underwear for everyone [Laughter] this is what deer camp's all about hey that's right we get to eat good hang out in the warm wall tent we got deer hanging outside we tell people that we're going hunting but it's kind of an eating holiday rose what you're a star thanks yep well it's the last morning we're looking for a whitetail buck looks like it's gonna be a beautiful day this guy just did this that last few hours [Music] a little bit harder you're done where'd he go he's gone no yeah no white tail dead yeah he wasn't really running he kind of he scampered a bit but maybe we just wander over there we can probably pick up this track and just follow it yes let's go get it pretty fresh now that is listen he's only a couple minutes ahead of us but we'll just go slow and hopefully he'll move into an open spot or something well like a good whitetail he lured us into the thickest loudest blowdown that's around here for some reason i always imagine that when they go over hill it just like opens up do a big clearing and we'll just walk up the hill and they'll be kind of like slowly going through the clearing on the far side but no i think that's it time to head back have one more glorious breakfast back up in it homie it wasn't a booner but it was uh you know it had a broad beams on them like he was a real buck he wasn't a little spike fork or anything where'd they go now time for breakfast they're all up there okay we're just eating breakfast and uncle shawn just went out for a few minutes and we just heard two shots like right near camp so we got to see what he got uncle sean shot a buck we're trying to find it look this is blood here on these ears the buck's still kind of going right so my last bullet from the first time you sure grazed him he like just grazed the hair on his tummy one time i grazed it the whole long length way back there yeah not sure where you went cute maddie's breakfast is getting cold in the tent your eggs are going to be so her bacon they're really going here this is a last minute buck eh this is like we got camp half set up and yet this is like have some bacon and eggs and yep oh just run from camp and without my knife and with only five rounds look at this tiny little guy boy he'll be yummy though hey just perfect look at that it's gonna be tasty what a great deer camp three deer i have a fat on this one really nice probably only what five minutes after that yeah and cut that up in a week or so it's gonna be awesome well girls good jump yep nicely done rose i just want to hunt with these girls hey i know they're like the most professional doctors ever rock stars julia found the found the blood in the hair oh yeah that would have been that was christian oh christina like oh she's even honest yeah i know i know she's a gym glory for our own records in the future we'll forget but just so we remember i think kezia and christina each took one shot and harvested those two deer and then shawn emptied his clip and his ammo belt and got that little guy but sometimes that's what it takes right you do what it takes no tell me about your gear cut [Laughter] christina i think hey christina good job dear hunter this one boom that's another year of you hunting without shooting it on video it's true or did we get some video no i wasn't there um actually kezia was ran after you delete that for the last the last three shots yeah no we're not going to edit that out
