We Took Korea’s FIRST CLASS Bullet Train (Seoul to Busan) 🇰🇷

after spending a week in South Korea's  capital city Seoul exploring the modern   areas and experiencing the more traditional side  this looks so fancy it's time to head Southeast   we are at Seoul Central Station and this morning  we are heading on one of the KTX High-Speed Rail   trains to Busan which is way down in the south  of Korea it should take about two and a half   hours the icing on the cake we're going in first  class we need to grab our tickets yeah do you know   where they are do I know where they are no they  should be somewhere in this yeah train station so we have car number four seats  8C and 8B at 12:24. since we're traveling during   lunch time let's go get some delicious  Korean food let's get some packed lunches   some nice drinks and some snacks What you doing? I'm putting the bags in there he told me  to okay yeah now we can buy loads of stuff okay okay so if you want a coffee you can get that here  oh yes right espresso latte Madagascar vanilla oh   vanilla yeah yeah to these two of those I  was gonna say I've never seen such a big   Supermarket I probably have I've been  to America but this is very sizable oh   that looks fantastic they look spectacular also  I have to be honest my mouth is watering mmm   look at this one all the different varieties  of kimchi you could ever want   that looks so good oh it  looks great wow smells good you might not be able to hear this  but there is actually a real life   choir up there singing the most angelic music this is like the theme song that you want playing whilst you're  entering your train isn't it like send off yeah   it's a perfect send off up to now everything's  been pretty calm tickets were easy to get not   that many people here train station is very  big very spacious nice station on a sunny   beautiful hot day like today yeah it's perfect  quite a lot of luggage again I mean this looks I'm gonna eat this, this will be gone. Then this is usually in this. But its easier to access like headphones I don't know little things  when we're traveling around on a train   we're just spreading around too much  again we need like a house home car yeah   one day but for now a high-speed train will do  South Korea's high-speed train also known as   KTX is one of the fastest ways to travel between  Seoul and Busan this train can reach speeds of   up to 300 kilometers an hour which means our trip  today of 414 kilometers or 257 miles will take   us just under two and a half hours just before we  board this train you may have seen a few episodes   ago yeah I feel like I'm in a cinema yeah it's probably  because of the red seats right I think I'm gonna   be quite comfortable here take my shoes off  already I think yeah we are those people but I   say because our shoes berathe we don't have super stinky feet  we're not those people but but you can't sit in   a comfortable seat like this it should have gone  it's too restrictive you can't you can't do it   oh yes wow plenty of like room there's so much  leg room I can't even reach this and off we go wow that's unexpected didn't need  your snacks we had a cookie   okay that will do it for later there's two butter  salt cookies and Blossom nuts this train is   already the biggest train seats we've ever  had we've had really comfortable ones and   then we've had less comfortable ones but  these are massive if it didn't have these   really wide armrests I could probably fit two  of me in here speaking of armrests it's got   two lovely big armrests you can recline the  seat as well it's got a footrest but you have   so much so much so much foot space I actually  can't even reach it then there's a big table that was really loud these are a lot bigger  probably because the seat is so wide there's   a lot more table space and it has this little  Contraption so if you have anything that you   want to lean up stand up or clamp in a little  compartment where you can there's a bit of   literature in there I'm gonna assume that most of  it is in Korean and here this is a little fan you   can angle where you want it to go I don't actually  want it to point at me but this cool air coming   out of there here we have two USB outlets and a  little regular electrical outlet which in Korea   they use the European same as the European ones  up here we have two little lamps one dedicated   to each seat but technically they're both kind  of above me so I guess you'd have to angle them   quite well the windows are very big the windows  reach along two seats I have to say this is a   pretty seat and it's already quite comfortable the  ones not to draw any comparisons but in Japan the   seats when you sat on them when they were in the  default setting was like 90 degrees straight but   then you could really recline that one way more  than this one I feel like that one almost went   completely supine this one's already a little  bit reclined very comfortable don't think I'll have to   touch that at all it's not quite as quiet  as some trains that we've been on and it's   not quite as loud as some of the trains that  we've been on very happy I hope you can hear me cheers cheers that was a good one yeah all the shops in  South Korea have loads of these coffees   I'm really excited for this food it looks  so good Korean food in general is so spicy   so flavorful so flavorful so fresh ah there's  something about being allowed to eat on transport especially   somewhere where you're sitting for a long time  it's just the most exciting thing in the world   the calories obviously don't count because you're  on a train so you're driving so fast that they're   left behind so you can eat whatever you want this  is my lunch box for today I've gone for a Korean   chicken which looks so good look at that at the  glaze and those I wonder if they can be spicy juicy sweet and yeah it looks spicy and  spicy is there no bone in there it's a new   version of the chicken it's just they grow  boneless pretty easy for the supermarket then to   um cook it and sell it I wish there was some form  of soy sauce or something but there's Wasabi inside I'm not a huge fan of Wasabi  there's the rice there's all my side dishes I'm glad I'm not wearing white today because  this looks like it would be really messy that's good it's like the  vinegary, spicy-sweet salty sorry if you have to watch that I'm gonna check  how fast we're going now because I feel like we're   going quite fast now 150 miles per hour that's  that's pretty fast so that's me when I'm running you rolling down the hill  actually my velocity is great feel like I have orange all over my mouth what's better  right sat on the first class train eating   some Korean food and watching football on TV  Champions League football on the TV on the roof I could do without the football. Here's a wipe for your face Good? I don't know I can't see  it a little pout yeah good I was just gonna say the landscape  gorgeous very green Rolling Hills trees fields I'm gonna go ahead and say something maybe quite  controversial here but I think train travel   potentially nicer than flying domestically because  you know no cues no nothing go straight to your   chair your chair is massive it's fast you can get  up and walk around with a lot more freedom you can   go to the toilet. I know you can go to the toilet and  stuff on planes too but it's like sit down put   your seatbelt on I know that train travel is  not as safe as flying but it feels much safer   I hate flying I love this oh yeah let's just  stick to trains yeah yeah if they're available in this first class sort of uh in between  a section there is a vending machine   for first class passengers that gives  you free water and I'll take one please   even though I've got one already  but kind of fun oh there you go that is pretty cool there is also a vending  machine that you could choose to have drinks   some crisps as well but the guy who's  just going on here just in front of me now   broke the machine I'm not sure what's going  on it says connected here now there's also   a library so you can read some stuff if you  read Korean there's also some newspapers down   here as well then just through there is the  standard class which is a 2-2 configuration   and you can tell that the seats are a lot  narrower than the ones we've got in first   class which is a 2-1 configuration and really  wide seats you can really tell the difference hello there is even Wi-Fi on board  this train Not Just In First Class I   think throughout the train I'm going to do  a quick speed test that is pretty good for   a train going at 150 miles per hour that's  better than Wi-Fi we've had in some hotels Do these seats go back? Yea Does it? I don't know
