We made our own new Minecraft Cave Update

special thanks to IC for today's world we made our own cave update for Minecraft 1.15 that's because minecraft needs new cave updates we've got a baby hot caves cold caves even glowing mushroom caves as meaning of glowing travel around and style with a glowstone minecart but be sure to watch out for magma creepers while you're exploring around searching for rare new amethyst ores that you're gonna want to trade to this guy he's got some serious goodies fellow youtuber mumbo jumbo made his own cave update video recently and we've had this one development for a couple weeks now so hey the more the merrier alright let's start with a cave change up in general number one our hot cave biomes finally a different theme to the caving systems that we are so used to today these bombs are filled with orange stone and lava be very careful the reason for that is that they spawn specifically under hot biomes deserts mesas I can't think they even come with some new block types I'm very curious to see what these are called let's see we've got right here this is heat cobble tone cobble tone huh sounds like some kind of sunscreen like I said we did make these ourselves so you'll have to deal with it sometimes but I'm curious what do we used a silk touch we got ourselves heat stone nice so excellent more building block you can never be mad about that but we move on for the time being over to number 2 magma creepers get real found an underground lava pools you'll want to watch out for these guys because they are not your traditional creeper allow me to explain first of all here's what he looks like second of all the moment he notices you oh oh gosh he literally just threw fire at me he blew up right is the same time he threw the fire at me so you didn't quite see that but it's okay it's okay we were the button go no it's my turn anyways check it out see watch look he will literally throw fireballs at me he won't explode until I get too close but look sets fire everywhere to the rain ah Adele I miss you oh but here's the tragic part my friends if they manage to get out and explode somewhere near you they will also deal damage through their withers well it went away really fast but with their dying wish they will literally drop away a portion of status effect this black particles here it will actually give you five resistance so it's tragic for them but it's a great deal for you not bad number three centipedes another mob found specifically in hot cave biomes I'm away for the fire well there goes oh wait no it's okay there goes positive caves and like fish it drops itself and then you can eat them it's kind of gross but hey sometimes you need to snack protein and look at that nice and dropped centipedes gross yeah Alex gross I believe they say something that I didn't you guys will never know what I was gonna say either but hey it doesn't matter cuz we've got lunch it's served yummy here's the thing sometimes you run out of food in middle of caves I'll take a mile back you need every day if it means I'm not gonna get Hunger affect I'm not gonna get poisoned upon eating it as we move away from the hot cave by almost we move into something a little more pleasant the glowing mushroom camp biome number four must have this would be awesome to run across first of all the mushrooms are entirely beautiful love them giant ones everywhere well let's get a closer look okay so we've got a glowing mushroom here now these special mushrooms will actually give off moderate amounts of light and that has something to do with a lot of the other features that we'll be showing you in just a second here number five including glowstone minecarts that's right baby glowstone minecarts hold those are acts I want to show you the name of the blocks oh they just drop mushrooms okay well never mind let's go to the number five the glowstone minecart it will light the area around it when it moves to make it all you need is eight glowstone dust and a single minecart and you've got your glowstone minecart right here yeah look at this thing baby fantastic and away she goes and as you can tell right here it actually move moves the light around it amazing i'ma press the button again I had a really good time when I did that like it yeah oh it's gonna be man it is finicky come on it's probably cuz I'm not actually sat in it but I love that that would be so cool it's almost like a skin it's like a phone skin except for your mind card system and the lighting that's that's really cool number six fireflies these little bugs fly on caves and sometimes light up the area break the torch if you want to test it okay so check it out Firefly Firefly now they will only light up the area once they actually land somewhere so you know you I don't want you to strain your eyes too much but we're gonna spawn in a bunch and wait for one of them to land Oh see look one landed upon landing the Firefly will turn into a lovely glowing area that actually will give off portions of light so if you happen to see these guys around you should know that you're in good company although it does take a while for them to actually land Oh see look another one just landed yeah right there look at that light systems baby so you no longer need torches with you if you happen to be one of these glowing cave mushrooms but it's a good time for that one to end it's right now number seven cold cave biomes look at this love it made of ice and light blue stone it's freezing in here oh thanks for reminding me sign we've got a pickaxe right here instead of our silk touch however we'll show you what they all drop either way so we've got frozen cobble tone here maybe it was on purpose cobble tone uh hard to say but how about we grab one of you now look oh yeah frozen stone again always welcome to have more building blocks but you'll also get some regular blocks you're used to blue ice it's just some blue walls like I should not use to those because those are new you'll even see sea lantern spawning in that's because these specifically will spawn underneath ocean biomes as well as taiga and frozen plains etc but say what's a good thing they do spawn in here because number eight is unlit torches oh it's unlit baby they spawn and caves unlit but you can light them with any torches you happen have on you just right-click where they are and you will instantly light that torch up once again gotta say though love the look and feel of this place and that's where the unlit torches as well as regular lid torches or in this case just torches but we move on to number nine regular cave system alerts the lack Deitz brand-new edition we'd only get too close to them because if you do you're gonna take some serious damage from them because I mean look they're literally spikes I it's painful it sucks uh-huh now you can stand underneath them and you should be fine but you should also be very wary because they might fall they want to actually fall but I mean they might fall in real life and so why would you stand underneath them but you see they'll only damage you if you happen to hit the bottom most portion of any specific one so you'll want to steer clear of them they may prove to be hazardous number ten pebbles yeah baby pebbles are newly spawning tiny little blocks that you can break when you find them in caves which is where they spawn and upon dropping you'll actually get pebbles first of all you can throw those pebbles and if you were wondering yes you have seen this temple before it was in our video we removed punching trees in Minecraft where he made a whole data pack around the inability to make a crafting table right away and by the way the world download for that is now available so you should check out the description of that video you want to play it for yourself now while you can throw these pebbles I would highly recommend you save them because you're going to have a much better use for them later on in today's video but as a fun side fact you can of course craft nine of them into cobblestone alright this next one's gonna be a favorite of mine it's number eleven amethyst found in caves they can be used for special trades here's a nice fortune three pickaxe for one shovel and here's what they look like lovely lovely blocks thank you very much also good give them all to me now they currently look like read textured emeralds and that's because they are because we just made this update but this is what we'd like them to yeah they're pretty pretty and my guess is that you could use them for blocks and building but that's not where you're gonna be using them for we're gonna be using them for number twelve the geologist villager that's because this guy specializes in taking your amethyst and gives you a lot of really good trades to boot they can be found in small cave houses similar to this one randomly spawning in throughout the cave systems and as you can see here he has a lot to give us diamonds gold iron glowing mushrooms and even a silk touch pickaxe yeah don't mind if I do yeah thanks baby now I think I hear a zombie pigman somewhere did you all hear that huh it must have been nothing anyways we move on for the time being number 13 revamped dungeons will go with a cave update B if we did not have improved dungeons to accompany first of all they come with more rooms that come with more threats and they come with a few too many torches I imagine we put those down just so that you could see the cave just a little bit better but if you were to find this it wouldn't have the torches so that these mobs would probably start spawning in like mad you know I can get behind that but to that point they also come with way more loot dungeon loot look at this averaging two chests per room right now I'll take that thank you very much and of course you've got the option to take out any mob spawning devices which are excellent source of experience but could even be greater source of experience if you decided to turn them into some sort of mob grinder now here we got loyalty ooh good stuff up here we've got a few others you now have an access point for mob skulls which are normally a little harder to obtain you'll need a charged creeper for that and use a trident I guess but it'd be a lot nicer maybe a little bit more fun to find them inside a mob dungeon that would be awesome now this final room here you'll actually need to take out the mob spawner in order to reach the chest that's been placed there I guess you could maybe break the chest but it would be locked and so you'd lose the items inside if you did that oh yeah so we're gonna not let that happen you can break you sucker and what we get hoo thorns nametag alert pumpkin seeds nice bless the dungeon itself comes with a lot of other cool features that you can take advantage of you mind yourself some iron bars you can get some brewing stands for trouble there's even a whole set of blast furnaces which sometimes come with loot or things already cooking inside in this case we got a little unlucky but hey speaking of unlucky number 14 unstable nether portals ever tried building this thing is quite unlucky - someone tried to make the portal but it didn't work but however the nether will leak out from time to time and it will sometimes flicker on and off - that was crazy well at least that explains where we heard the pigs coming from now when you find one of these unstable nether portals I would highly recommend you do what you can to complete the portal so we've got some blocks here we're gonna fill in all the missing parts and then we're gonna light this thing and see where it takes us that's because unstable nether portals have a nice little perk and we'll see if that happened for us today they will occasionally lead to special areas within the nether oftentimes being closer to fortresses or even custom chests loot not always though and in this case we seem to get a little unlucky but hey we at least got a discount on the obsidian we needed for a portal better luck next time huh we move on number 15 unstable caves they haven't actually made that fart of the world yet so it's hard for me to know I don't get what's unstable about it oh geez oh okay that makes sense look at the ground just fell out from beneath us and all the falling ground turned into cobblestone or cobblestone or whatever we're calling it it would appear here that unstable caves collapse wouldn't mind or walked over and it would also appear here that we somehow made it all the way through this cave update video without reaching Stone Age advancement until right now that's a nice little bonus number sixteen slingshots Yoho we'll remember those pebbles from before well you're gonna want to take advantage of this five stick and one string recipe to make a slingshot that my friends is because the slingshot can also shoot your pebbles out and you can hear them being shot right there and they have got a fun trajectory and arch and angle to them it's a great weapon before you get a bow and hey it's a lot more fun to use in my opinion it's been my opinion this is great it has a nice takes a few more pebbles than you'd probably like it to to be able to kill a mob but you can't spawn it so if you time it right it's it's essentially free ammo you know what I'm saying like it's made of stone well calls them but hey maybe you want a little more bang for your buck and so we've got number 17 here dynamite they have a slightly weaker explosion than TNT but are fun to use then the less for them you'll need string and TNT but Yoho check it out Wow we threw it and look it's stuck in the wall and it's gonna blow up and I love it yeah oh gosh what'd I just do I don't know we should be going that way or not maybe we should be going that way but you know for now let's just throw one more of these Dynamite's oh gosh yeah that might be a little too close right number 18 gauntlets made of leather these tools will allow you to climb walls the easiest way to remember the recipe is to pretend you're making a goldfish cracker cuz that's the kind of look like gauntlet love it when held in your hand you can easily climb up walls by going right next to them then you climb up it is really fun yeah plus I like the way you hold it it's it looks like I got my hand like stuck in a box number 19 conglomerate I love all the spellings of the blocks today so check it out we've got a compacted version of cobblestone but nine cobblestone a crafting table make yourself some conglomerate it's an easy storage block for cobblestone it's also very easily mind as well so now you don't have to have them constantly bogging down your chests at home and finally my friends number twenty placeable gunpowder I wouldn't have it any other way baby you can now use a gunpowder to place a line that will lead to any tnt that you want to have blown up now here's the cool part about it right it's delayed so you can watch it it feels more real you can get some cool cinematic effects for it for b-roll later on thanks Aaron overall it's a good experience and more importantly once the
