Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
We do not have nearly enough genuinely eloquent games writers. Noah really opened my eyes to how many ways you could approach a game while still writing a βreviewβ in a real sense (rather than some other more diffuse kind of βgames writingβ).
The hardest working man on YouTube strikes again. Seriously, I have no idea how he manages to pump out such good content at so high a rate.
Kind of surprised Gervais made a video for Death Stranding when, if memory serves, he said he wasn't interested in doing Metal Gear Solid. I'm so looking forward to hearing what he has to say, though. He's perhaps YouTube's single best writer on games, and this game is absolutely wild. Of course, I can't actually watch the thing yet because a completionist run takes so goddamn long that I still haven't finished since I started in November. Roads, man.
this dude is an amazing writer and deserves more recognition. they way he takes something like a quote from the good place and tie into the appeal of kojima is just too impressive.
Watching someone as thoughtful and articulate as Noah sampling Kojima for the first time, at his most Kojima no less, Christmas is either real late or super early.
Itβs not complicated enough to untangle. Itβs a fine game, but the plot is over explained to the point of exhaustion during a playthough.
Dammit, wanna watch, but also waiting for the PC release.
Love me some Noah.

This was way better than I expected.
I think he was really on to something when he spoke about the earnesty of the game. No matter what this game said, and how dubious the effectiveness of it was, I never once doubted that it was entirely sincere. There was someone behind every line and every moment who genuinely believed that it was good, and it meant something to them. And sometimes they were batting 1000 and sometimes they tanked, but I really felt that they were putting their heart out there and it enhanced the work. No part of this game was anything but deliberate, and you can't often say that. I couldn't stop myself from appreciating the game, even when it made me scratch my head.
