this video is sponsored by upside [Music] so you guys probably remember the old 1963 volkswagen bus that we recently rescued out of the woods when we first laid eyes on this thing we had really no idea of what kind of condition it was going to be or the amount of work it was going to take to get this thing back on the road again well this one's got the rounded corner glass back here that's pretty cool oh yeah no engine huh no no engine yeah it looks like all the wheels and tires are here yeah part of the interior i think there's still some life left in it you know y'all know what you're doing we'll get it back to the shop and find out for sure [Music] now today we've got a lead on a car that might just have the perfect engine of getting this bus back alive again we'll just have to head over there check it out hopefully we can close the deal and bring this thing back to the shop with us [Music] [Music] all righty how are you pretty good you tim yes sir i'm lance hey lance how are you pretty good this is my dad wyatt hey wyatt nice to meet you nice to meet you too my name is timothy and i have a 74 volkswagen bug and i reached out to you on facebook to see if y'all would like to have the bug i had plans on you know making a project out of it but i just ain't got time to do it as far as i know it last ran in 2000 it should you know it should run i was gonna try to get it running but i just didn't have time to do it yeah i'm not so much interested as far as the body goes but the engine's kind of what's got our interest in it okay i was hoping it had the dual port engine which it does i don't guess you know anything do you know if it i'm not sure yes sir yeah i'm not sure anything on it really [Applause] yeah she may be locked up unless it's in gear oh it looks good in it though feels out of here yeah it may just be stuck just a little bit seems like those ones kind of follow us around and stuck engines here lately yeah an engine's better no engine we don't have nothing right now so it's definitely something we can work with for sure oh yeah i was told that it was part running yes sir it looked like about in 2000's what the windshield sticker said yeah she had uh lost interest in it she put brand new tires on it got it you know drove it down the road and she lost interest in it and just parked it yes sir yeah they're pretty simple engines i mean most times if you keep some oil in them and oil and gas though they'll stay going a while you think that work for us or i think so definitely better than what we got right now huh it looks complete so price wise do you know where you'd need to be at on it um let's get 200 out if i can 200 yeah it's worth that if i have to put no pistons and jugs on it or whatever at least it gives me something to work with yeah so right now we don't have nothing to work with so i understand well 200 works for you it works for me all right i'll go grab some cash and i don't know if we can back up through this way to load it up that works yes sir that'll work i don't think it'd be too hard just back it up and winch it on there and get it back to the shop i don't think we'll get her going today but maybe by the end of the week well i'll grab you some cash okay [Music] [Music] [Music] so so [Music] [Applause] so guys real quick we'd like to take a second to introduce the sponsor of this video being upside free upside app use promo code restore to receive five dollars or more cashback on your first purchase of ten dollars or more now let's see if we can get this whole bus back on the road well what do you think probably pull them spark plugs out first probably so i said the oil looks crazy good i mean it almost looks like someone just put it in there and then maybe turned it over a couple times they didn't turn it over i wasn't sure it's which that's an alternator i believe instead of the old generators which probably it being a little bit newer it comes with that i was going to say it could be that locked up but uh i think it's gonna be down in those jugs just a little bit i think we get these plugs pulled out sparked some marble mystery oil down in there may have to let it set a little bit but i have faith we can unstick it just i don't know how long it'll take grab a socket i don't know how long that's been on there but hopefully a good little while just glad it's it's pretty complete you know yeah worrying about it missing a distributor carburetor stuff like that yeah it's got a lot of dirt and ground and stuff but hopefully that just wow up underneath there that's a brand new plug that ain't never even been ramped if it has this thing runs better than anyone i've ever seen oh my goodness tight it is tight tight that one there has been ran for sure same plugs that's weird kind of a little scary yeah this one's probably not getting any kind of spark or anything i'm going to go ahead and pull loose this fuel line if we do get it turning over i doubt there's any gas in it but just in case crazy that plug there's almost finger tight the other one is nope super tight yeah usually when we wrestle with these it's it's either missing the coil distributor carburetor or something that one's been sparking at least another go at it i'm hoping we get something squirt down in there and we just get a wrench on that crank boat there and it'll not take much at all no i don't know what just happened but that wasn't it didn't feel good okay i'm gonna have to take that out of your check good news is it's craftsman that had to be already cracked i didn't have that much on it okay it's tight as well it is tight tight yeah i don't want to break it but i'd rather you break it plus my face on this windshield break glass break the glass only good part of the car my goodness well that wasn't just me cali man that's scaring me i know that's the reason why i was like i don't know it's i mean it'd be a lot easier to get out with the motor out but and obviously we're going to end up pulling it out i'll give it a little bit more we may just try to squirt these three other three i don't want to you having break that to drill it out or something been there done that right three out of four ain't bad yeah it may not take much at all it might have turned over for you to just got on it to begin with but at least that gives it some kind of lubric lubrication down in there hard to get at them at it yep i put enough in that one there to cover both of those i guess that grab a crescent ranch get on that see what it does the boat's turning sounds in i thought it was turning pretty easy but it's just tightening in there sorry to say why has this always happened to us but we just walked into this one right yeah no one off the bat so we can't even feel sorry for ourselves that's just going to loosen it off well i think it's moving a hair because the way that belts it's jumping from side to side and if we are out of gear uh let me double check i'm pretty sure it is but pretty sure it's not a guarantee this wheel was turning when we pulled it on the trailer and i think the brakes locked up on this passenger rear looks like it's in neutral yep oh yeah it's definitely it definitely is moving just yeah just a hair though i wonder if we took that belt off if that belt may be if that alternator grows up and that's what's holding us take it off real quick i got a hammer first time i've ever seen somebody use a screwdriver for a hammer like it's stuck on that belt shot so you can tell it's been that way a while oh wow yeah it's left part of it it stayed in the pulley she's curious it was a little locked up so it might be turn right over it may do it i'll pray it does yeah praise god well that didn't sound good did it clock sound like a ring sound like a ring popping well i don't know what that is that piston back over here the compression on it maybe maybe because it's got the plug in it yep you think we've turned it over lace enough to try to get on the starter and see if what it'll do i think so i mean it's made of full there's no keys in it huh nope i wonder if we can you think it'll turn with the ignition or we'll have to jump it i bet we got to jump just go straight to the starter from what i looked at it on it i can see through the floor pans on this side terrible yeah the body on this i don't know somebody might be able to use something i bet we can at least almost get our money back on the car the seat i thought i was just going to take out it's barely in there that's that ejection seat i think the bottom ain't too bad on the back seat no that's actually really good shape [Applause] no floor to put the battery in so um i guess i'll just try to try try to disguise it where it looks like it'll hold it yeah i try to set enough junk there to make a bridge across the rust hole there you go oh these floor pans are bad bad hey got something i can clean these posts with or the battery ends pretty rough surely it ain't as rough as the floor well it ain't as much of the floor an old road gear type player i remember that when i was a kid oh yeah going to walmart and looking at this place set up and dreaming over which one i'd want to buy it used to be a it was a spark-o-matic when i was growing up oh yeah is that back when the radio was black and white yeah yep starters should be on this side i guess i might have to get up underneath there and see if i can find where to hook some wires definitely going to need an alternator though huh yep most definitely on that i'm glad that's all it was i mean a little bit on the on the block maybe but where are you at i may have to come from this front side you know grab that switch that should be over there starter switch we weren't going to turn it over know how there ain't no wire running back to the ignition switch only down to the battery there so that starter looks pretty rusty on the outside we'll see i guess so apparently it somebody's worked on it since the little old lady um i think the wire i think the wire probably just pulled loose oh okay because the wire end is still on it oh oh man my ears hung on a piece of the floor pan that'd be a great story to explain why you're missing the ear i should have let you try before i crawl back out things are going too easy sounds pretty good turning over so far [Music] from the feel of it is decent producing compression smell that marble mistrill yep smell like pepto business i was just fixing to say it smells like that or the old bubble gum used to get in the baseball cards it smelled like that yeah no clanks and i don't hear that little weird noise we heard earlier no we've got an issue here is it losing compression through the head no look down here at the the little push rod tube i can feel down there it's bent but as you're turning it over you can oh yeah i don't know if that uh if that push rod's bent could be the tube the tube you can feel is definitely bent but could just be the tube then do it again or shining right down there yep you would think as ben as that push rod tube is that it if the rod was bent that bad it wouldn't it wouldn't work it it's a pretty bad bend in it well let's check the uh points i guess see if we can get some spark if we can get these to clean up and start sparking a little bit throw them plugs back in it and hopefully a little gas down the carburetor and this might be the quickest get back up and running we've done in a while now i don't know what it's going to take honestly i have no clue if this is going to fit up to that transaxle on that um bus ride or if we're going to have to change out the flywheel to earlier flywheel and clutch setup or i don't know because that thing definitely would have just had an old single support you know smaller engine right let's just run a wire from that coil to the battery for now and we're going to have to we don't have no ignition switch inside anyways might pull off the old one maybe so we're not feeding power back to something that's got a bad wire splice together i'm assuming so it'll be the one that comes one comes down to here will be this one here this one goes over to that okay well i can just hook in right there if it's got has it got an okay connection there not really but i mean it's whatever you want to do we can hook this wire just i can just put a clamp right there on that one so you're gonna use that wire yeah i might have enough length with this i have to be sure that's not touching anything not quite we still got some more we got some more here to to give i wish there was a hole i could go through there somewhere there may be one later so we good back there yeah we're good back here i hook it up up here then we'll get a little spark that's good i bet she's sparking everything clear uh just out of the way where that thing's turning yep yeah man this is going too easy we should have set a timer and nothing would have worked right clean the button and those spark plugs and put them back in it see what it does all right so i'm a little concerned that one don't need no cleaning at all i know what that is a scary scary thing there we get it out of here we can dig into it a little bit more if we need to we just want to kind of make sure it does run right no clean planks and clunks yeah [Applause] i don't know what the inside of that uh distributor cap looks like might not hurt right flip it over check it out i told him we probably wouldn't get this thing running today we might drive the thing today i had a volkswagen once when your mom first got married every time it would rain if it was a drizzle or whatever it was going to be three days before that thing would crank up it it would drain right down into the distributor cap oh yeah and i would cover it and everything else and i still had to have points in it or like electronic ignition there was points i ain't even tried that and it's working did you mess with any of the did you try the clutch or anything no no i didn't notice that it's all the way down though which is oh it's on the floor it's on the floor yep yeah i got the cables broke to it then because it's all just mechanical style on that it should just spring itself back up from the clutch on the transaxle there i may have to take this off i didn't know you had that right tool made the socket yeah well here in a minute i want to tighten it a little tighter than what it was coming out it was just finger tight and going in there i guess to balance out that background being super tight wires back on spray this linkage wow and everything else something right it's missing the little set screw thing in there that should go more than it's going there it goes and this is one of those days whatever you need to work on today's the day to do it everything seems to be going pretty good some days you don't want to re-tie your shoe if it comes undone i know it this thing's about to just pop off i'll get some gas and some carb cleaner and try to keep it running if it does try to fill that bowl up you know it's really strange to me why some people are so afraid to work on these things i know it maybe they are like the easiest engines to work on i think they learn on the the water cooled ones and it's this is just kind of just so so seemingly different but it's not yeah ready of course i'm not valves are messed up or we got some wires backwards you think you might have got yours but no because i noticed whenever i started taking off this one goes to the the back one and this one went oh this went to the one closest to me and this went to the other one because i thought how convenient that's but that doesn't mean somebody else before me didn't right one do you remember which way it was turning i don't even remember i think it was turning that way one four and then three it depends on what's this one is the front one on this side or the furthest one back and this is the one furthest away from you two i think that's right i think it yeah i think it's one two so i guess it would be three four though one back here one and then four that's the one furthest back closest to us that's four that would be right then right yeah and then three three two yeah yeah so maybe it's i don't know if that being that push rod maybe being bent might have it could be yeah the valves are all adjusted wrong let's try it again i guess god there's no smoke without the fire it was smoking at first and then through the big old flame i feel the warmth off of it uh i don't know really what would be making it do that unless the distributor is off you know i've got it out out of time son it's tight so but i said that doesn't mean somebody else hadn't yeah i think it's going to be i just don't know why it's popping johnny huh yep something's off a little bit we're popping too much i bet it's going to be those uh i bet it's going to be the bows and they could be just kind of we may need to mess with that distributor too yeah they could be sticking or something so it didn't really take much at all to get this thing turning over what we thought was a locked up engine ended up just pretty much being a locked up alternator on it so once we were able to get it turned over we cleaned up the points just a little bit got them sparking getting a little fire down to the spark plugs dumped a little gas and some carburetor cleaner up here and she's starting to pop off but she's literally popping off like where the valves are out of adjustment our timing's out of adjustment so now we just need to move forward try to see if we can work that out to get it running a little better and hopefully she'll idle for us i bet if it needs to turn anyway i would probably think clockwise to put number one a little bit more out front here but probably right that hose is stretched as far as it can go that direction so it's a turn i remember the last time i did that i broke the thing on it so i can't go a little loose there just okay i don't know where we were but [Applause] try it again and it may just take it running longer to if those valves are sticking them kind of start working and seems like it's gotten a little better i just start to say it seemed like it was kind of apparently though that carburetor is not allowing any of that fuel i put into the bowl to squirt through there [Music] because all it's running off of is what you're spraying yeah it may have a bad motor mount yeah what's making it it's got to be a valve that's stuck that's allowing that to pop back through the intake yep uh i think pour some transmission fluid down in the carburetor while it's running could try yeah or squirt i don't know if it might have to open the door because it's already smoking up in here so [Applause] all right it's like it's a fuel thing that it's backfiring as long as i keep this real steady yeah it stops but huh but there's still something's backfiring back through there too yeah i was trying to tell you you've become a personal fuel injection uh we could try just well it's like i said i filled that full of fuel we're gonna have to pull that carburetor off i guess and clean it up you wanna do this that see if there's something stopped up in there that's not making it work right just get it pulled off and clean it up and i don't want to but i know that's gonna be the easiest thing to do so it sounded good there for a little bit but we'll try that [Music] see what she does you think if we disconnect that cylinder that had the bent push rod over there you probably saw because yeah it's not yeah that's going to be our problem i think it's it should be that one yeah because if it it may not be a sticky valve it's just that that one's bent and it ain't working right it's dripping out of it pretty good on the hole down there yep oh yeah well we know if it quits popping though that's what it's going to be that's where it's gonna be but we're just running on three cylinders right now yep so that's an easy fix but it's easier fixed outside than true yeah yeah i mean we know we got a runner and don't we don't knock or anything like that smoking a little bit but that's going to be that everything that marvel mystery oil and stuff we put down in the cylinders yep well we want to pull it out then i guess and fix that push rod later where we can get at it because like i said fighting it up underneath there to pull it out pull that rocker arm off be a lot easier with this setting on the table yep i think get it on the lift lift it up a little bit get those what like four bolts off yeah from the transaxle disconnect a couple of things pull it off of there yep so now that we know for sure that this thing is a runner we're going to go ahead and try to get it on the lift get up underneath it to help us get it out a little bit easier now we'll address the bent push rod that we found out was giving us a popping issue once we get the engine out get it on a stand where we can see and work on everything a lot better right now just get it up in the air get this one pulled out and move on to the next step [Applause] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] hey man how's it going good now i'm daniel from oak hill automotive we're based here in longview texas we've been here 50 years this is our 50th anniversary my dad started this in 1972. well come over here we've got a project we're working on and i don't know how deep i want to get into it we bought an old 63 volkswagen split win the bus and i picked up a i think it was about a 74 super beetle had the dual port engine i kind of wanted to go dual port rather than the single port uh long story short we did get it up and running i think we've got a bent push rod for sure it was popping like crazy so i've got it outside here if you want to check it out i knew that you would know better than us of what it's going to take to actually make it work and all that so uh i know you've got plenty of stuff around here but like i said i just don't know how much we're wanting to spend or what we're wanting to do to it so far but yeah let's take a look at it cool sounds good man yeah [Music] you know i grew up in this so like you know from the point i was able to walk i mean my dad had the shop and and all the old cars in the backyard and i mean we've just always done volkswagens our specialty is uh you know the air-cooled vw's building uh the performance engines stock engines mild wild and uh you know helping customers restore their older air-cooled cars so this is what i got going on here oh yeah it uh we thought it was locked up but it ended up just being the alternator froze up on it so that's a little clutch disc right got all the pieces but if you see right there that push rod too yeah it's been up so i don't know if something hit it or if the valve was stuck and it it bent it or what but pulled it up i said it was popping like crazy but we pulled this plug wire off and it quit popping so i know it's going to be something to do with those valves there i'm thinking yeah we have a pretty extensive inventory that covers you know from stock replacement parts to performance parts for year models from the 50s all the way up into the 70s we have so much inventory that it appears to be a mess to some people you know but i mean when you ask for any particular part myself or even my dad i mean we can go anywhere in the building and locate you know the one piece that you're needing you know 50 years you accumulate a lot of inventory it's kind of organized chaos is the way we look at it i don't know if it'd be idea to go ahead while we got it out to put new you know pistons and jugs on it or yeah not knowing how long it ran without the head tint on it for the cooling and the fact that you got a broke fin on the cylinder i mean probably gonna hurt to do a top end yeah and uh and whatnot i know this is the time i know this is probably the time to go into it the the most i mean i don't want to have to pull it out later really but another thing like i said on the clutch back here i don't know if what it's going to take if that flywheel and stuff will actually mount up to that transaxle in that bus sir yeah once you machine it out just a little bit i mean there's four four contacts by the stud points and then the bushing has a contact point once you machine those out the flywheel will clear in there fit right in there and the clutch would work just fine you know you got a good base you got all the pieces there and everything like that so you know at this point it's just time to tear it down and and see what you have to work with but yeah it's a totally buildable unit well you think you have most of this in stock as far as yeah yeah it's all normal stock items so it won't be no problem to fix you up with what you need yes sir i said i know for sure that push rod let's just go inside and throw some numbers together i guess and see how or how deep we want to go all right we can do that [Music] so when we drove over here to see daniel we knew that this engine was going to need some parts right off the bat and i think with this being a pretty rare project that this engine is going into it's definitely worth our time and money to maybe go the little extra mile so we'll just go back inside discuss of our options of what we want to take on on this basically it'll just boil down to how much we want to spend and how pretty we want this thing to look when we put it back together and put it in the bus for the first time all right i think that's enough to get started that'll keep us busy for a little bit we did get points and condenser too uh-huh yes sir cool now we only paid 200 for that whole car and engine so i'm hoping we'll be below that this is just 200 car i hate to put too much into it right [Music] we're leaving out of here with a lot more stuff than i anticipated when we first arrived but as long as dad don't know i've got his credit card we should be good to go i guess we'll go ahead and start tearing this one down are you ready figure take this little shroud off and ain't much holding it on there a little alternator clamp there pull the intake off carburetor will come off valve covers rocker arms heads jugs yep yeah just start basically starting from the top and it'll get straight smaller smaller so we can make it bigger and bigger yeah then we'll pressure wash this block up best we can good thing is we'll be able to see everything once we tear it apart and see what kind of shape it was but get that off i honestly think this thing will just pick that up off because it don't have a bolt on either side shrouds missing on this side or the tin just right here off one end to the other had a come on if not a razor blade will get it pretty rough on those jugs [Music] yeah i bet you this thing that's probably why it got so hot on this side melted the wires didn't have that tin on there plus all that junk right this one's bad but not near like that one there so put those out of the way intake yeah oh boy that may be fun too [Applause] i'm kind of curious once we get this head pulled off a couple things what the valves actually look like with this plug remember it was we never could get it out right kind of what it looks like i guess we'll pull these boots loose here because i don't know if it'll lift up it might just lift up and slide out behind this alternator bracket oh or just come loose there come this i don't want to take that alternative bracket off i have to though anyway hopefully it's so unless it once i can come loose here go that way can you go that way with it no [Applause] oh you got it alrighty i guess the valve covers uh yeah working more and more like a project that like a rat turds all stuck down in the fins of those things look at that i get your pants man looks pretty good up there on the valve train the rocker assembly really good or you pan just in case i get a little drip yeah slop or something [Applause] oh yeah yours looks pretty good i'm sure curious to see how bent this push rod is and still kind of work but you know it doesn't look like the valve was stuck on it from what i can tell but it's been pretty bad it feels like yeah would you say that's a reason why we're yeah popping that looks like a pop very rough shape there i think that one's on i don't know that was definitely our issue do we try to get all these exhaust nuts loose or do i just take a sawzall and cut it since we got no exhaust i don't know that i guess i'll try we'll try to see how they come off it seems how you don't need them i say they'll probably be fine for you yeah push rods look fine on that side yeah they look good it's just that one i don't know what i really think they probably hit something down below when it it bent it but and that may have been the reason why they quit driving it could have been yeah it just started backfiring and yeah popping that bad you'd sure think something yeah something major yeah happened look at this steel tail boats getting this good scrap pile anyways i guess i'll pull this head off real quick see what the valves look like on the other side [Applause] [Applause] so uh [Applause] those studs are coming out on the top one so yeah that old back spark plug is pretty rough shape oh yeah yeah [Music] come out of there i don't know just really squeak that didn't it yeah i may need that rubber hammer i don't know i think so that push rod tube was bent bad which i guess it had to be you want to hit it right there i'll catch you he's going to end up pulling out the whole jug and everything there does it even try come a little bit back here yeah it is pulling out the whole jug huh i'm just stuck that much inside there i'd rather it not do that but i can't just don't want to break those fins on it but again it won't matter when ain't putting them back on i hear it say that they both pulled loose from the the block itself they just put that out of the way should be able to smack it pretty much that thing was even still up in there yeah no not much holding it huh kind of low sand didn't it it may have can you kind of grab it just i don't want it to drop whenever i flip it yeah i felt like that's going to i think yep now that's just pulling out the hole yeah the whole thing's coming out there oh well i guess just don't want that dirt and stuff getting up in there and they see them bones bones well i guess that's one way you're doing it yeah the thing about it it's not stuck pistons nope ah there we go when the air looks kind of rough yeah it's a little hard to tell [Applause] you're going to come right off right away you know i'm not sure that mine had the washers [Applause] oh that piss in there it looks rough that's been hitting something is it broke right up here something ain't right about that something got down something got in it yep i wonder if that's what we heard kind of it may have been popping a little bit that's that one that's not uh the plug see how clean that plug is yeah i bet they've had issues before but when we cranked it up it probably wow yeah it's a good thing we went ahead and that's something i just hope it didn't mess up anything on the rod bearing you know right i'm glad we went ahead and got no pistons and stuff let's try to get this outer part off to see what it looks like that one don't look bad oh wow man it's all the whole side of that piston is that what got inside there it broke off and then got inside there maybe so because it's that's pretty rough it feels solid there ain't no in and out on it i think we're okay huh yeah i bet that's what somehow another that started breaking off and got up inside there and started crushing it of crushed pepper and pull these pistons off real quick yeah i think so and once we get it off it's kind of plug everything up and pressure wash it huh i think so cool i guess you can go ahead and do your side and then we'll turn it over and i can get my back one whichever one you can get how's that feel it's tight [Applause] yeah feels good let's rotate it so i'm gonna get some other ones out yeah yep that's good last one should do it plug up some holes and get it pressure washed start putting it back together so now that we got this engine tore down we found out that we not only had a bent push rod in it but we also have a piston that was just completely shot so i'm really glad that we're going as deep into this engine as we are now we've got a pile of old parts we're going to start replacing here first thing we need to do though is get this outside get it cleaned up get it pressure washed where we could start going on with the new gaskets new parts get it put back together and hopefully she finally runs right for us now that we've got this engine degreased and cleaned up real well we're going to go ahead and start bolting on some of these new parts we'll start with the pistons and jugs now when you're installing these things you want to be sure that you got everything clean and well lubed up for the process there's also some little small arrows you'll find on the head of each one of these pistons now be sure that each one of those arrows is facing back towards your flywheel next we'll go ahead and start bolting on our new heads as well as our new push rod tubes so that's super simple just be sure that your push rod tubes are lined up well get your boat started torque everything down to spec in the sequence it takes and move on to the rockers once you get down to the rockers and the push rods we're going to need to go ahead and adjust the valves on this so we've got it set at top dead center and on the number one cylinder back here all you're going to need is just a 13 millimeter wrench and a flat blade screwdriver i've already got these loosened off we're just going to put our filler gauge in between there and set these at six thousandths on both your intake and your exhaust so both of these are looking pretty good we'll turn this to bottom dead center move to the next piston which is going to be number four on the firing order adjust those the same way top dead center the next cylinder and then bottom dead center again for the last cylinder and we have our valves adjusted [Music] so [Music] [Music] well guys unfortunately i think we've made it as far as we can on this episode but i have to say i'm super happy with the outcome so far when we first found this engine we thought it was going to be completely locked up like most of the engines we've worked on lately fortunately once we got it back to the shop we found out it was only a stuck alternator and once we removed the belt she turned over like she should after we were able to get her to turn over for the first time she literally fired up for us [Music] so we decided to pick up some new parts for and ended up going a lot deeper than we originally anticipated once we tore into her a little deeper we're glad we went the extra mile as we also found that the engine had a bad piston [Music] i have to say this 200 engine is definitely looking a lot better than what we found her now the struggle is just to get it put in the bus see if she'll fire up and run the way we need her to and hopefully move it on down the road we hope you like this video don't forget to like subscribe ring that bell and we'll see you on the next one [Music] you
