This is why you never let anyone remotely access your computer

this video illustrates why you should never give anyone remote access to your computer in most cases they're just after money and won't do anything malicious but for some scammers they can't help root through your personal information and damage your computer as we start this video these scammers have already established remote access via teamviewer to this person who's called christie's computer she suspects they are scammers but because they've got remote access she's now at their mercy so mom how are you going to get your money you can see on the online id and putting my username from my keylogger he just types stars and the password will you able to see that no assume [Music] so mom you're not going to get your money back then the scammers have promised a refund but it's a ruse to get our bank details all right ma'am so it's totally up to you i'm not going to force you in anymore mom right because it is your money and you want to get your money so you have to go ahead and to do the transaction for them this way all right she's plainly not going to log in in front of them so they try a different approach we cannot clean another another way ma'am if you have a western union account so we can send you the money from the western union this is a fake website which the scammers have set up themselves for that man you must be have an account online from the western union so you can go and get it western unit is a favorite of scammers because it's much harder to trace where the money goes to all right then ma'am if you don't if you're not feeling comfortable about it you can hang up the line all right but ma'am let me remove everything from your computer just hold on [Music] hello just let me go ahead and get out from your computer okay just hold on he says he wants to get out from her computer but what he really wants to do is change her password so she can't get back in [Music] he selected the option to change the password of the account that she logs in with mom you can put down the password out there he doesn't know her current password but unfortunately she's compliant and types it in he hands over to a second scammer hello can yeah can you hear me ma'am [Music] no no you don't need to put anything exactly hold on this call has been transferred to the account department of this company you're speaking with john okay [Music] now you're speaking with my kelly and michael he confirmed you that you need to exactly we are going to refunds the money to you right she's not interested in a refund she just wants him off the computer i do understand madam just see i don't understand what you are trying to say or whatever but you see exactly what uh i do believe that my kali he confirmed exactly this call it's a recording call right we're not going to ask you any single informations over the phone that what you're typing and whatever because which is illegal for our company let me show you something at the moment just look on your computer i do believe you friend of your computer right madden now just see have a scene our bank which is chase bank www.chase.com they're obviously not chase bank they're still pushing her to make a payment okay there's no problem at all didn't you see exactly you don't want your money back right if you don't mind menu what's the reason is that ma'am she again explains that she doesn't trust them but you don't need to give me the informations that's i'm going to show you [Music] no problem ma'am it's depends now he invokes the teamviewer controls which disables her keyboard and mouse and blackens her screen the services you know so hold on give me once again got some software which is not working this is the driver which will black out her screen but the scammer can still see the screen been hold with me and when we're going to fixing the recover internal part of your computer sometime your computer screen goes black or whatever so you don't need to worry or panic okay then when they blacken her screen again they set a password and a pin number which they don't tell her now with her screen blacked out they start to look at all of the various files on her desktop okay yes can you hear me ma'am yeah just just just hold on give me a five minutes so we can recover the internal issue on your computer okay hold up no problem [Music] having looked through some of her personal photos they now want to use her webcam now what do you see on your computer screen madden they don't see your face here so they call her back over to your computer screen with this it's a black right okay you need to hold on okay because we are working a computer if i required something i will just let you know okay so don't go anywhere okay [Music] okay [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] is now you see can you hear me ram right we're just going to take our software so right which is there on your computer okay our software's all right madden so hold down [Music] they continue to watch her for several minutes now in the few minutes you can able to get back to screen ma'am alright [Music] can you hear me okay the receiver screen [Music] only recycle bin having locked her out of her computer from your computer you know the our softwares was protecting your all the documents that you do have but you told me that i don't want that money refund and whatever so i just took that our software and when we took our softwares that happened you know your all the documents that you do have on your computer whatever all has been deleted from your computer okay they're going to use her deleted documents as a bargaining chip to get money out of her i didn't delete that man we just took our softwares because our software's who are protecting your your all the documents right because when you're downloading or saving the pictures everything is saving in our software but when we took our softwares from your computer all the document [Music] because man we called you to refund the money back to you that's why [Music] so just see you you don't want the refund i don't understand that but it's our job to take the softwares and refund the money to the customers that's the point that's why i called you we called you to refund the money [Music] you want to put all the documents back but [Music] yes you're all the computer the everything that you do have which is uh because we took our software that's why it's happen [Music] she has to watch helplessly as they start to delete all of her files including all of her pictures she's screaming at them to stop i do understand man but you see that hap i can't let this continue so i kill their teamviewer session all has been gone from your computer madden they haven't all those files are in the recycle bin and can be restored [Music] okay what do you see on your computer screen tell me that the scammer hasn't realized that it's me who's killed this session i spoke to christy later and she was able to get her password back and restore those files but hopefully you'll see from this video it's always a bad idea to give a scammer access to your pc [Music] you
