this is the dynamic discernment of the spirit of god what he's doing in your life prophetic worship is and our worship pastor team pray about what they should sing as a declaration of god's will over our church pastor prays about the word of god to preach over and declare in our lives but it's up to us to discern to discern when god is moving and there's a right now word for you in song or sermon right and just like some who came out of their their seats when they were singing because they discerned it was a right now word for them they came and they they began to praise god as many as are led by the spirit of god they are the sons and daughters their sons and daughters there is huyas in the greek it's the mature sons and daughters of god we don't just sing songs here we don't just preach sermons here we don't just give here no we are the mature sons and daughters of god who are led by the spirit of god and when god begins to give a word in song or in the preached word that's when you discern it that's when you respond to it that's when you say yes i receive that yes i believe that yes devil you're a liar get behind me because i am not turning back now amen i'm gonna wait on you jesus oh yes i'm gonna wait on your lord amen i'm gonna expect the hebrew word weight there means to expect without faith you have no strength to wait i don't know i don't this isn't the sermon but we're just worshiping him without faith you have no no strength to wait wait on the lord means that i believe that he is going to come to pass to come to my rescue [Music] i i don't just wait i expect oh you feel like worshiping more now amen i expect i'm an expect on you jesus i'm gonna expect on you jesus no turning back now i'm not turning back on my faith now it's a prophetic word of perseverance it's a prophetic word of perseverance perseverance is an offensive weapon because the enemy tries to do everything he can to have send hindering spirits paul said i wanted to come to you but satan hindered me he will send hindering spirits to stop your progress to impede your answers to prayer read daniel 10 verse 12. he is going to do whatever he can so when you say no i'm going to persevere [Music] it's an offensive punch in the face wow still electricity up here hallelujah to god [Laughter] so it's a prophetic word whoever is in a trial whoever is in a testing this is a word for you what they just saying no turning back now i'm going to wait on you jesus i'm going to expect you to come to pass and your word to be fulfilled in my life i want you to pray on that right now in the name of the lord come on claim it right now jesus we discern you're here jesus we discern your word jesus we deserve your prophetic ministry to the body of christ we discern that you are speaking a word of faith and expectation and perseverance and patience to the body we thank you lord that that means you are you will bring it to pass you are bringing working all things together for good you are you have already decided on the day of our deliverance you've already decided on the time of our healing you've already decided on the day of our strength so we give you praise today we praise you we act on this right now we're in the rhema we act on the right now word and we say devil get behind us we are going to wait we're going to persevere we're going to expect god almighty it's going to heal and deliver us from all of you hallelujah hallelujah thank you jesus now we claim the provision of christ come on claim it right now i declare healing in this body in the name of jesus i declare the virtue of jesus healing in your body in gee i declare healing and strengthen your weakness get out in the name of jesus lord we receive and declare emotional healing relational healing mental healing in the name of jesus for every wound you're anointed to bind up the wounds that the enemy tries to reflect we now we break every bondage for you have set captives free we will not be bound to satan nor the past lord you will set your people free we claim prodigals for you we claim our family for christ we receive for our nation the blessing that god will bless america once again with another great awakening so lord we are not turning back now we are not turning back now we will expect to wait on you jesus in your name we pray amen amen say amen amen let's give god a praise vivian but lillian and david perez tragic call they received a call from puerto rico that their oldest daughter veronica perez was killed last night and they are going to be flying to puerto rico as soon as they can 39 years of age so please pray for david and lillian perez pastor manny when and nelda went over to be with him this morning i'll be going over after the service today [Music] please remember the calvin durham family this is karen gilley's father who passed away this week and thank god he was ready to meet the lord and we praise god for that services will be this this coming saturday at 10 a.m at oakdale cemetery at graveside service special request is turned in for sam oshina something close to that sam is bill nichols close associate and sam is in a texas or a new mexico hospital with a grave situation needs our prayers today remember linda dye and also claudette and sandra today two saints of god here that are in the hospital and battling for their lives let's pray for them today amen are you ready to pray again this is the house of prayer isn't it don't get tired praying amen let's pray again lord we thank you for every time we lift our voice though you hear us you told daniel that from the day that you first order uttered your prayer your words were heard on high we thank you lord that our words are heard on high we give praise to you because lord you will lead us in our intercessory prayer we pray lord you minister to david and lily and perez and to their family today that god you would give them the wide margins of grace and peace and comfort from god and lord you will bind up the brokenhearted and lord you will be near to them and they would fill your presence with them lord in this time the lord you'll bring those who took their daughter's life to justice lord in jesus name and in every way lord we just pray that your your grace and your peace is with them god we pray also you administer to sam and to linda and to claudette today that god you or grace would go to those hospital rooms and in jesus name and god you lord would walk in there to those rooms and you would touch these each precious ones and you would give them lord the miracle touch of god but we pray for them all in jesus name and we thank you for them we just pray in every way you touch every request it's in the hearts of your people and we thank you you've already answered those by faith and the things that you've given to us in the worship time so to god be the glory great things you've already done so we give you our praise and thanks again in gospel mark chapter five we're going to look at the press we're not talking about your favorite news agency talking about the atmosphere of the world and we're talking about the the uh need to know the weapons of warfare for you to have victory mark chapter 5 beginning verse 25 and a certain woman which had an issue of blood 12 years and had suffered many things of many physicians and had spent all that she had and nothing bettered but rather grew worse when she had heard of jesus she came in the press behind and touched his garment for she said if i may touch but his clothes i shall be whole and straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague lord may your hand be upon us as we continue to worship you and declare lord that we're not turning back now we're going to wait on you jesus in your name amen carla cohen was someone who's credited with beginning essential oils now a 27 billion dollar business annually how did that begin began with the problem she didn't feel well she would wake up even though she was successful with money she was an la entertainment director had lots of money lived in los angeles california had perfect weather but yet she didn't have a perfect life she would wake up every morning foggy brained weak and discouraged her doctor said you just need some antidepressants which seems to be their answer for everything today right you just need to take some antidepressants she said i'm not depressed he said well take him anyway and she just she decided to not go with the doctor's advice she began to look at body toxins studied raindrop therapy came into contact with plant oils and these essential oils now made famous gave her her full recovery from her symptoms i want to submit to you today that there are more important essential oils that are needed to cure mankind than just these plant essential oils and even though many wake up foggy brained and confused in the times in which we live many wake up weak spiritually and somewhat discouraged i'm here to tell you i've got good news for you today that there is an answer and his name is jesus christ his essential oils can touch your heart heal your body we look at the foreshadowing of the old testament in essential oils we've confined foreshadowing in the grain the grapes and the olives we find in the grain that the grain must be crushed in order to produce the dough that produces the bread through the fire so it is that jesus christ was the bread of life and that means in john 12 and 24 he said if a kernel of wheat grain falls in the ground and abides alone then it brings forth nothing but if it's crushed and if it dies then it can give birth to many other colonels so it is that he had to die his body had to be crushed in order to give us new life then there is the grapes grapes have to be crushed in order to give wine so it is that the wine is a symbol of the blood of christ and so it is he said in matthew 26 he talked about this is the new covenant in my blood but not just the new covenant that saves you it is indeed the the covenant of god for the lifestyle that he wants you to live you'll find that in revelation chapter 12 and verse 10 it says that they overcame the dragon by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony so again that crushing of his body and the crushing of his blood caused there not only to be the new life but the new lifestyle that we are to live as overcomers over the devil and everything that he tries to bring into our pathway and then there is the olives the olives had to be crushed in order for there to be oil in order for there to be in the analogy of the old testament symbolism metaphors the giving of the spirit jesus had to die be raised again in order to send the holy spirit into our life to give us a new power and to give us a new authority in the way that we lived acts 1 and 8 but you shall receive power after the holy spirit comes upon you so it is that we can see that the oil in the old testament was used to anoint kings used to anoint prophets used to anoint priests and in first samuel 16 13 when david was anointed with oil a symbol of the holy spirit the bible says that the holy spirit came upon him in power from that day forward why did he have boldness when all the army of israel did not against the giant goliath because he had been anointed with the holy spirit i'm here to tell you that there is a boldness that comes with the holy spirit it is a boldness that says the devil you won't defeat me life you won't defeat me no i have the boldness of god i am a son or daughter of god and greater is he that is in me than he that's in the world hallelujah so we see the crushing there had to be a crushing the press is a crushing look at the essential oil of the holy spirit we know from psalm 92 verse 10 that i will be anointed with fresh oil the hebrew word for fresh really means green or that first press that virgin oil that comes out of the first pressing of the olive we look at what was used by the jews uh in that time it was used uh to light the things in the temple which i'll talk about in just a minute but what he's saying here is that there has to be a new anointing god didn't just save us to give us one anointing you get saved and you have a good feeling and some goosebumps and that's all you get for the rest of your life no peter preached about it in acts 3 that there we needed to repent to receive the times plural of refreshing from the holy spirit that the holy spirit wants to continually reign into your life and to refresh you with a new anointing olive trees can live for thousands of years but their trunks become hollow how do they keep maintaining themselves they do that by sprouting new branches but also producing new trees that come out from around it so an olive tree may have several sprouts that come out all in a new season of the life of that tree so it is david had three anointings at three different times one was samuel one was king over judah one was king of all of israel let me tell you that god has an anointing for every phase of your life he has a new anointing that you need for the times of the press that we live in and you must not deny the power of the holy spirit you must say holy ghost come on me and give me a fresh anointing of the holy spirit of god in my life today and then we know from joel chapter 2 verse 23 and 24 that the symbols of grain and of wine or grapes and of the olive the oil are symbols of the latter rain the former rain was the day of pentecost when the holy spirit was poured out peter said we are living in the last days and now we are in the latter reign where we have seen at the turn of last century the pentecostal movement 1960s the charismatic renewal and several waves of the holy spirit's work in our world since that time we are living in the days of the latter rain what does joel say about that time he says that there's going to be an abundance of what of grain talking about the bread are you talking about an abundance of the wine and an abundance of oil again these three things talk about that all that christ died to accomplish for the church is going to come to full power in the last days that the power of the holy spirit is going to be poured out in great power upon all flesh and that it's going to be an evidence and a witness in the world of the true work and power of jesus christ so we see that there is also a yoke destroying oil that is in isaiah chapter 10 verse 27 where there the prophet began to speak and he's meaning to say that the burden of assyria is going to be lifted off of your shoulders and the yoke that's around your neck is going to be destroyed so the assyrians were doing what a yoke will do a yoke is put on oxen and it pulls them in this direction or pulls them in that direction it dictates which way they'll go the assyrians were pulling israel in whatever direction they wanted to do that and if you allow the devil and the world circumstances they will pull you in whatever direction uh as the wind goes and and news goes that you know you'll be pulled here and pulled there as paul said toss to and fro and so it is he says that i'm going to destroy that yoke i'm not going to refix it it's not just going to be broken because if it's broken it can be repaired and the enemy can again use it against you i'm going to by the oil that's a symbol of the holy spirit i am going to destroy the yoke hallelujah let me tell you that god didn't set you free for you to get back in bondage again god set you free for you to stay free and that's why we got to stay free and galatians 501 stand firm in the liberty wherewith christ has set you free what is that second corinthians 3 17 talks about where the spirit of the lord is there is liberty hallelujah to god for real liberty that doesn't come out of a bottle doesn't come out of a counselor's office doesn't come out of some kind of a talk show it comes straight from the presence of almighty god thank god he set me free he set me free he broke the bonds of prison for me hallelujah to god i pray he did for you as well but we know that jesus had to go through a press this is a scene where he was in gethsemane in gethsemane in the greek the word gethsemane means oil press there were lots of olive trees there and it was a place that jesus frequented and of course it's most famously noted for the night before he would be crucified we look at him in that night before he was crucified he went through the press the oil press pressing out of him the very oil that god wanted to use to break satan's hold upon humanity so it is that when you're in the press god is wanting to press out of you the anointing which will come by what we'll see in the second half of this message he's wanting to to allow what the enemy means for evil to for him to work good in your life and to press out of us the good things the spiritual things of god that will defeat the enemy and produce a greater anointing in our life so it is that he went through the what he went through the press what was the press he went through the press of suffering anybody ever had any suffering they say that untold suffering seldom is untold right we've all gone through suffering sometimes we rehearse it sometimes we nurse it sometimes we curse it but god wants to reverse it praise god he wants to allow his power and his anointing to come against what the enemy meant to destroy us so he's there with the suffering looming upon his life and he's going to die for all of our sins and so in that time the bible says that he had what was called medically hematetrosis hematodrosis is that he prayed so fervently until his sweat uh came with blood his capillaries burst because of the stress and and blood came with the sweat that poured from him as he began to pray to the father let me tell you if you were in a press take a lesson from jesus begin to pray more fervently than you've ever prayed before because that's part of the oil that's going to give you the anointing to make it through the press of everything coming against you he said to those disciples could you not tear with me one hour and this is why we're calling the church to prayer in august why because we need to press through to get the victory uh in our lives and for those in our our community and area so it is that he's basically praying and he's he's understanding the suffering that's coming his way and when we go through suffering when we go through times of pressure and stress let me tell you that he's already been through it in gethsemane you may be in your own oil press but let me tell you that crushing is not going to destroy you that crushing the world's mind destroys them but it never destroys us the bible talks about it in second corinthians 4 verse 7 8 that the power of god might receive the glory that we are and afflicted in every way but yet we are not crushed hallelujah to god we are perplexed but never in despair we are persecuted but never forsaken we are struck down but we are never destroyed no that divorce isn't going to destroy your life know that the loss of a child is not going to destroy your life no that loss of income is not going to that loss of a husband that loss of you put fill in the blank no no no that is not going to destroy your life because that's a mockery to the power of god that's in you it says that his power is able to keep us even though we go through every affliction we are not crushed and we are never destroyed because greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world we are not going under we are always overcoming and going above we look at he the second thing of the crushing the press the press was also oppressed of the flesh oh yes you read about it in 22 39 that he said father if it be your will let this cup pass for me what was the cup the cup was the cup of suffering you read in revelation it's a judgment of god the the bowls so it was that god was going to pour out his wrath upon sin upon his son who's going to bear all of our sin on the cross so he knew that there was going to be a great wrath of god on sin he knew the judgment of god on sin was coming through the the crucifixion that was going to be right in front of him and yet in all that he was 100 percent man as well as god and so as a 100 man he said oh father if it be your will let this cup pass he knew how grave the suffering was going to be but in a time of the oil press in the time of the press that's when the the the crushing of all of our fleshly desires takes place when we may want to lash out in rebellion we may want to lash out in in bitterness we may want to lash out in walking away from our faith walking away from relationships and all of that carnality that battles with us when we're going through pressure oh that's when we go to our gethsemane and that's where we ask the lord to come and bring out of the press and oil of the holy spirit and the holy spirit begins to quell all those rebellious disobedient all those kernel thoughts and ways and begins to perfect the will of god for our life to make it through that particular time of pressing and so in his crucible he was able to crush the fleshly responses that he could have had but if he would have then we would be completely lost in our destiny but because he surrendered to god not like the first adam adam who who rebelled against god was disobedient because he surrendered and obeyed guess what he gives us the power in every situation to not be defeated by the devil first corinthians 10 13 god is faithful every temptation god will make a way for your escape that is that because of jesus you don't have to cave to that bitterness you don't have to cave to that anger or response you don't have to cave to losing your faith you don't have to cave to life you don't have to cave to anything because jesus was tempted in all categories like we are yet he never sinned he never came and his spirit lives inside of us so devil get behind me until you tread on every serpent until you tread on every scorpion and over all the power of the enemy say in jesus name i am not going under i'm going over and i'm going to have the victory in jesus name come on and praise him today carla robert horsham and third and finally he had the oil press of the crushing what is the crushing the crushing that crushes the grain produces bread the crushing of the the grape that produces the wine the crushing of the olive that produces the oil what is the crushing the crushing here is the crushing of the spirit he is there praying until sweat and blood mingles together he's praying alone his closest associates are sleeping he's rejected by men he's forsaken forgotten by those closest to him he feels completely alone except for the father of course in the world with the press of the world upon him you see the bible talks about it in proverbs 18 14. who can bear a crushed spirit when somebody loses somebody when somebody has something terrible happen somebody endures something that's terrible who can bear a crushed spirit why does the bible talk about who can bear across spirit because it basically says in the time of affliction it's the spirit of the person that sustains them you see if you don't have hope in god you don't have hope in this world you read ephesians 2 4 2 and 3 you know if you don't have hope from god you don't have hope in this world there's human hope runs out that's when abraham said and he had hope against hope he had divine hope when human hope ran out to have a child with sarah at their old age let me tell you in the time of affliction the enemies after your faith he's doubt to destroy your spirit because if he destroys your spirit and crushes your spirit then you live with no hope and you might as well be dead see that's the reason why jesus came he came to give us life but to give it to us more abundantly he came to give us in 1st peter 1 3 a living hope that every day because he died and was resurrected we always have hope praise god if he could die and then be raised again there's nothing that we shouldn't have hope about amen because even in death there's resurrection power so it is in that time he he suffered that that crushing of the spirit the attempt to crush his spirit this is what we find from paul's writing in second corinthians chapter 1 verse 8 9. he said of the trouble we have in asia he said we were crushed in spirit above our ability to endure have you ever been through a time where you said i don't think i can make it have you ever been through a time you don't think that i can just get through this situation that's where paul was but he said that it pressed out of me some oil hallelujah it pressed out of me my self-reliance he said we learned in that pressing not to trust in ourselves but to trust in the god who raises the dead because if you've ever been in a situation that you couldn't get yourself out of and the only way you were going to get through it is if god did something in your life then that's where god wants you when you come to the press you say oh god only you can help me now that's what god says i've been waiting for you to call on me because here i come i raise the dead and i can raise you up and paul was raised up because he trusted in the god who raises the dead psalm 34 18 the lord is near to those of a broken heart and he saves such who are of a crushed spirit if you're crushed in spirit he's looking for you today because he is wanting to rescue you from the enemy trying to snuff out your hope in him three pressings the three pressings were first of all the jews pressed olives three times the first time they pressed it was virgin oil and virgin oil was used in the temple to light the menorah it was used to light other things in the temple it was used to bring light first thing we see out of that illustration is that in every time just like in the time of christ's darkness he said in luke 22 53 that now is the time when darkness reigns he said that about the time of his arrest and his upcoming crucifixion he understood that there was a time when everything was going to look dark he said that for the benefit of his disciples let me tell you today that sometimes christians just faint in times of darkness sometimes we faint when we can't see the light of god's love and the light of his answer to our prayers in the light of his promises in our life and everybody said amen but yet in that time jesus acknowledged that this is the time when darkness reigns but yet we know from 2nd corinthians 4 6 that god commands light to shine out of darkness hallelujah it goes all the way back to the creation of genesis where out of it was all the earth dark and void and god said let there be light from the very beginning to the time of our redemption there is always going to be a time believer listen to me there's always going to be a time christian we say i'm going through a time of darkness now i've just lost somebody i've lost my job i've lost this a lot got health issues let me tell you that season cannot persist god is always going to bring light into he's always going to bring relief he's always going to give you a word of hope he's always going to give you a light in your heart he's going to give you something that you can uh wait on your jesus as we're saying this morning right i'm not turning back now because god is light in whom is no darkness at all and so that anointing is going to say you know what like david ziglag i feel like i'm going to weep until i have no more strength to weep but now i'm going to encourage myself from the lord and when you encourage yourself and lord the light of god comes into your heart and in that light you're going to find hope again that yes god is going to do something for me he's going to bring a victory into my life the second part of the press was for medicine when they when they pressed an olive they'd use the second pressing for medicinal uses for some kind of salve and ointment in in the body some kind of healing that would bring to the flesh so it is we know from isaiah 53 in verse 5 he said by his stripes that we are healed his press on the cross his death and crucifixion provided our healing i'm here to tell you that your mess is going to become your message if you allow god to heal you with the oil of the holy spirit i find that some christians want to hold on to bitterness some christians want to hold on to how bad so they were treated somebody treated them some christians want to hold on if it hadn't been for that then i would not be in the situation of men today friend i'm telling you you've got to let go and let god do something new in your heart you've got to let the oil heal you of the past and you've got to press forward to the future this is what paul said he said in philippians 3 and 14 he says i in order to get past my past i have to press toward the goal of the prize and the high calling of jesus christ friend you've got to have determination i'm going to make it past this failure i'm going to make it past this trauma i'm gonna make it past this loss in my life i am going to press for the high calling of god i'm not gonna give up because there's a mess a message in my mess there's a healing in my heart that god wants to bring and that healing needs to be told the people around me for their good and healing oh praise god i know i've got to come to a close cleansing is the last part they used the third press for cleansing cleansing they would make soap they would do different things with purifying things with that oiled on the third press so it is not only did his blood his pressing of crucifixion resurrection not only his blood first john 1 7 cleanse us from all sin thank you jesus for that but also we know from ephesians 5 that there is a washing eye the word of god that cleanses us that continually gives us the cleansing that we need to live above the enemy's devices what does that cleansing do that cleansing takes care of you when when you are in a time where you want to respond and keep bitterness that when you want to keep him forgiveness when you want to uh take anger out of it on somebody else when you want to verbally really attack somebody whatever the case might and yet the holy spirit that oil in the press when you go to your gethsemane and you feel the tension of what's what you feel inside in the flesh and then the holy spirit begins to come into your heart and he begins to work in your life and the word of god begins to wash you from all those things and it begins to produce in you a cleansing and a sanctifying worker that keeps you above and being the head instead of being the tail you see if you and i surrender to the carnality of the world then we are no better off than the world if we surrender to the carnality of the world we cannot be blessed by god we have to understand it's all a trick of the devil to try to give the same kind of responses as we were treated and trying to act in the same way but god has given us the word of faith he given us the word of god that by that word we are washed and we are cleansed it might be oppressing where you want to respond in this way but god says no let the oil let the holy spirit have his way in your thoughts let him have his way in this relationship let him have this way in your future don't let the enemy get a stronghold in your life and the root of bitterness in there oh no friend it don't let it don't let someone hold you back no forgive them get it off your chest out of your spirit it's a poison to your heart you've got to be free from that no hold on no hold lord i forgive and i'm moving forward into the victory that jesus christ has given to me to be the head and not the tale to be pressed into something good the image of jesus christ come on and praise him if you believe that hallelujah to god i've got to move forward sometimes we don't respond to stress and pressure good sometimes we emotionally eat about that it kind of looks right pretty good right now right about now sometimes we we don't sleep like we should sometimes we don't exercise like we should sometimes we just look like we're full of stress people can look at us and say wow they look like they're really under it we don't live under we don't live under yokes of bondage we don't live under as the tail we live above as the head we don't live under in anything come on somebody we we don't live under. so we shouldn't be walking around looking like that because of the press the full court press and basketball began in the 50s that's where they try to double team the person who has the ball and they put one-on-one pressure on each of the offensive players so that they will have their offensive scheme to score disrupted and hopefully hindered and there'll be a turnover where they'll get the ball taken away and they'll be scored against so what does the enemy do he tries to put full court pressure on the church in fact you read daniel 7 19 it says that the antichrist tries to wear out the saints he's trying to put pressure on you read ii timothy 3 talk about perilous times there will come those are pressure times those are times of of demonization these are times of of attack you read revelation 9 you'll see the demons released and the the terror and the demonic pressure of evil that is put upon the world we're talking about a real serious uh uh situation here we're talking about life and death we're talking about quality of life we're talking about salvation here we're talking about victory we look at the full press of the enemy uh when we look now at this woman who had this issue this is where we're going to find christ's pressing as a model leads us to our pressing for the victory christ's pressing and in what he provided for us leads us to our pressing to claim his victory does that make sense to anybody today because christ went through a pressing providing what he has provided for us then he's left a model that we must go through and i wish that we could be eliminated from this time i wish it wasn't stressful on you personally i wish it wasn't stressful as a nation or stressful in our world but these times the bible says on the one hand will grow worse and worse they'll grow more pressure filled so what are we to do just kind of make this a bunker and try to hunker down until the rapture comes or until jesus comes back no god has a very different view of the role of the church and that is that he wants us to not be so full court pressed that we're always looking for the devil behind every bush and always feeling like we're in defeat by the devil because the devil's done this and devil's done that no when you read about the gates of hell will not prevail against the church it is not about us coming against the gates of hell and trying to get in it's about the gates of hell trying to resist us as we move forward by faith and we take new territory for jesus christ i'm here to tell you that we are on the offense and the devil is on the defense and he is trying to full court press you and put pressure on you one by one so that he can try to double team you and keep you from your offense let me tell you you were meant to do more than just pray oh god deliver me from this trial you were meant to do more than say oh god this healed my body you were made to heal the sick of other people's bodies you were made to cast out the demons of other people you were made to save the souls of those that are being lost we are to be on the offense never the defense oh yeah we've got some defensive weapons but we got one big offensive weapon called the sword of the spirit and we've got the overwhelming power called the holy ghost the greater city that is in you than he that's in the world it's time to go forward by faith and not be on the defense i know i'm going to end this sermon sometime this month help me i'm working on it in five minutes pastor james you need to come pray i mean come play i might want to pray while you put why you play god help him to shut the sermon down god help us virtue and authority is greater than your issues christ's virtue this is what she touched and received virtue to heal her and his authority which is represented in the tassels of his talit is greater than your issue praise god amen let's this lady had some real issues long-term issues she was hemorrhaging for 12 years not 12 days not 12 months 12 years the talmud said we've got 11 remedies for you she tried every one of them and none of them worked you have anything that's been a long term struggle see we're not playing patty cake here today we're wanting to come over we're wanting to go for the victory for long-term hard to move mountains in the life of the believer nothing's impossible for god come on folks come on get get with your faith she suffered many things she spent all of her money she had mental emotional health issues why do i say that because the uh the bible the old testament tells us that you had to be if you had issue of blood as a female you had to you were unclean for seven days now she had a hemorrhage for 12 years she was unclean she couldn't go to the synagogue she couldn't go to church she wasn't allowed in she couldn't if anybody touched her they were considered unclean and had to be separated for seven days nobody wanted to hug her touch her you talk about the isolation we've had a year and a half for kovid try 12 years on you think we got issues come on now these people in the bible they've got some real hard situations that are illustrations and examples for us that jesus can do anything oh i feel like just preaching she didn't grow worse she did grow worse and not better do you have anything that has gotten worse instead of better i'm god's coming after your heart today he's coming after your heart today because that's where somebody here maybe several have got something that's stymied your faith because you've got some things that gotten worse instead of better and you prayed about it now the good news pastor james is coming to play see there's always god i said light will shine out of darkness praise god here there's hope her press produced new oil you see you're responsible for your own oil [Music] first of all it produced a new faith the bible says that when she heard of jesus this woman who had been crushed pressed when she heard of jesus she came now again first of all when you hear the word it's different than just hearing the word it is hearing the word in the bible means that you hear and receive to obey or you hear and you believe to act and if you don't believe to act or obey then you haven't heard the word you see we may have been we've heard a lot in america about jesus right and in the church we've heard a lot about jesus but when's the last time you read the bible in your devotions or you heard the word of god sung or preached that you said i believe that [Music] just saying i believe secondly says that that she came and she pressed now again the fact that she came means that she did get out of her comfort zone that is to say that she had been cooped up and isolated for all that time [Music] and so she got out and did something different i read the bible you read about people who got some great miracles you read about those guys that tore off the roof remember that and let that paralytic down through the roof jesus talked about your faith has made you whole talk about uh romans and churian romans were occupying israel and the roman centurion comes to a jewish rabbi and says would you heal my serpent you don't need to speak the word and they'll be healed i mean out of his comfort zone come on i mean even the even the synagogue leader jairus who again there's pressure to not believe in this jesus guy right if you're uh you're a leader for synagogue you've got the pharisees the scribes and everybody trying to say don't do that but here he says you know lord my daughter is dying and even when they said she's dead and jesus said only believe he still believed in jesus i'm talking people who came out of their comfort zone lepers who would come to him blind men that would not stop yelling because they believed in jesus all these people had to do something different to get something different in your life and friend i believe that this whole covert thing has put the body of christ in a paralysis that we have stopped we've got into the same cookie cutter kind of paralyzed we've got to get out of that coveted paralyzation and we're going to say god you're still the god of abraham isaac and jacob and i'm coming to worship you i'm coming to an altar to pray i'm coming to come after god i'm coming out of the fear and the anxiety of covet 19. come on somebody oh jesus she came she came and she touched we look at the woman who has been in hemorrhaging for 12 years and a woman who was weak a woman who who knows how old she was but we look at the press that was around jesus the press was mentioned two times the press was a a throng that was you couldn't hardly move that the closest i've been to that was in israel when i was there with one of our church trips and bulldog you remember this on the day of the feast of tabernacles on the western wall square when the rabbi was saying the blessing there were so many people in there that you couldn't move that's the press jesus was being engulfed with the press but yet there's a woman who's in coming through illness for 12 years and this woman somehow is able to mark her way through the press until she touches can i tell you as the times get more fierce it's time for the body of christ to get more fierce can i tell you it's not to pray lay me down to sleep patty cake prayers anymore it's time that we are here to press in this is what the bible says in luke 3 and 10 it says as many as pressed in they were healed by jesus i'm telling you it's time to have a i'm not taking no for an answer kind of faith it's time to have a pushy faith it's time to say i'm gonna push my way into the promises of god and the touch of god in my life i'm going to press until i touch jesus and then when i touch him i know he will deliver me [Music] [Laughter] oh my goodness i've got to let you go what did she touch she touched his tallit she touched the tallit which is two kinds it's the goodall which is the full garment which is what he wore the goodall is a full garment where they had in the four corners it had the the basically fringes and the knots that again the fringes relate to you see all these fringes that is the 613 or 600 of the fringes then there's with the knots makes up 13. so there's altogether reminds them of the 613 laws of moses that they were to keep and again law is uh the word that basically means to walk and they as they walk they were to remember to walk in the laws of the lord you can read about it in numbers chapter 15. and so this was a garment that was worn or there could have been a smaller one like this which was wrapped around someone and then on the back it came at the back and there was there was a not like this it wasn't wrapped around but wrapped around so that the knots were in the back and the knots all correspond to the four consonants of the of yahweh and so what it was is that these fringes represented the laws and promises of god knots represented that all of the promises are tied back to yahweh tied back tonight tied back to god almighty right the fringes represented what the freedom that god set him free from egypt right freedom praise god they she was reaching out to touch that word of god but she was reaching out to touch the authority of jesus to enforce that word of god she'd heard of jesus that he was a healer and of course you know these these these talks were used in many ways one of them they were used as a as a time to to basically have an intimacy with god in fact if you you the jews would would with these tales they would put them over their head and they would have a time of prayer they would kind of close out distractions and it was meant to be a time of intimacy in fact this is what matthew six and six means that you enter into your prayer closet this was the prayer closet it was when you shut out everything and you being prayed this was the elijah's a mantle right when elijah uh he didn't hear god in the earthquake and the fire and the wind but it says that he he wrapped his mantle around him this was what it was it was the delete and it was in the still small voice when he was in the prayer closet right there that god spoke to him it represents what david's uh david's uh uh tabernacle was the tabernacle of david was a was a large tallit that was a covering over the tabernacle of david but one thing that it represented was authority because if you remember at first uh samuel 24 it was where uh again saul was in a cave and david cut off the corner of his robe what was the corner of his robe well in the robe of the doll there would be four corners of the of these tassels and and these knots and he cut off that that part of the four corners that basically said that your spiritual authority is gone that your spiritual authority god is taken from you disobey god and that's why he was so convicted because he knew he shouldn't have done that even though he didn't kill him he cut off that corner which was symbolizing that you've lost your spiritual authority but let me tell you that when that woman was coming to find jesus she knew that he had had the authority to enforce the word of god and so she decided she was going to do something to come out of her comfort zone and that she was going to press through until she was able to touch the very hem of the garment to him meaning that those knots tying the promises of god back to the nature of god himself tying it back to the authority of the one who was wearing it who was jesus christ the son of god friend we're not here to work you up today we're not here to play fast music so you and i can jump and shout around we're here to base your faith squarely upon god almighty squarely upon the word of god squarely upon the authority of jesus christ who defeated the devil and everything he tries to bring against us so if you're going to touch something you touch that you touch the authority of christ and the power of the word of god you believe him and then you'll have the new miracle that god wants you to have that's what we want to do we want to touch him we will not touch his word we will touch his authority come on and praise him everybody stand your feet this morning [Music] hallelujah [Music] jesus it's time to practice time to practice it's time to practice time to practice our faith please don't leave here without practicing your faith i believe for healing i believe for blessing i believe for provision boaz's bow as a skirt was the to leaf she said put your put your skirt over me and i will have provision ruth got the provision when he put the edge of that that tallit over her saying i will provide for you i'm here to tell you the word is your authority the word is your protection of your provision but there's one final thing folks praise god it's only 12 25 hallelujah i've got a good heart i i mean well i do i i want to end earlier it's in my heart to do that but you just pray for me because i'm struggling a lot with being a long-winded preacher and now thank you now that my wife's doing children's church she doesn't appreciate my long-windedness anymore so i want to say here's the key beloved god help us today the woman when she was discovered when she was healed she said she had said in her heart she had said in her heart if i can touch the hem of his garment faith is never a head issue it's not how much you know about god it's really what you believe in your heart and whenever you say today in your heart i believe you're going to have it whatever you say based on the word of god based on what god is putting in your heart to believe i believe you're going to have it today that was bold how about you are you that bold what do you believe i'm here to tell you that that woman could have stayed in her house and died of a hemorrhage and you can stay in unbelief and keep the same situation or you can get out of your comfort zone and you can say you know what i've heard of jesus and i believe jesus said i am going to do something different i'm going to believe him and i'm going to in my heart say i believe if i can do blank that i'm going to be blank i believe i believe in the authority of christ i believe in the word of god i believe in god who backs it up so today how many of you would say pastor i've been in the press i've been in the press [Music] the enemy's trying to crush me but i believe i'm going to have new faith i believe i'm going to have new actions i believe i'm going to have a new miracle because i'm going to let the oil of god come out of my life oh i see hands raised lord jesus look at your hands that believe in you lord we're pressing to touch you every hand is out to touch you raising it toward heaven to touch your jesus oh yes we're gonna wait on you jesus yes we're gonna persevere on your teeth right now we're raising our hands and right now we're declaring come on get it in your heart in your mind what is it you need from him right now come on begin to pray it right now oh yeah we can lay hands on you but it's more important you lay hands on jesus right now come on lay hands on him touch him right now jesus here we come we're touching you for our kids we're touching you lord for our health we're touching you jesus for our deliverance we're touching you lord to break every yoke of pondage we're touching you for a new miracle in our relationship we're touching your lord we're touching you lord to move our nation we're touching you jesus to move oh god on our behalf we're touching your lord now and we believe we believe we believe oh god that you are going to do the delivery work of god that you promised we believe it right now in jesus name hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah amen thomas hallelujah i'm going to ask before they sing i'm going to ask for whoever feels moved to god for prayer for praise to make a stand a symbolic action i believe the woman had to get out of her house she had to come forward she had to press just you touched i'm going to open the altar while this thing you can leave now it's only tuesday or is it wednesday i'm not sure thank you for being so awesome but if you feel touched this may be the day for your miracle and your breakthrough so i'm going to invite you as they sing if you want to come forward come forward if not i'm going to invite you to praise god where you are and while you're worshiping press through and touch the hem of his garment would you say you want special prayer to really make a stand come and make your way this way come and make your way this way right now if you want to take a stand or you want god to do something pray for john's healing i see mary come
