52 years of prosperity yeah he blew it at the end but in the year he died i saw the lord high high high and lifted up and his train filled the temple sometimes we idolize other things to be our rock we idolize other things and when those things crumble then you see the king the real king [Music] and i will i've determined i will build my life upon his love because it is the only the only the only the i don't know 120th floor or whatever up there way up there and then the next day an unexpected death in the family of his nephew christopher tookes this is his sister dolores son and remembered delora and benny her husband and remember pastor james and jackie as they travel up after after this worship set he'll be like uh philip he'll be rescued with angels and whisked away on the interstate to get up there to be with his family the funerals tomorrow but you remember them in your prayers right now remember again there's been another unexpected loss i don't want to make mention of who it is because they haven't notified everybody in the family yet but just be in prayer and then of course we have several in the hospital armando lopez and we have tom and sue badafuco who are getting better praise god amen we're glad for that and uh we have um can you help me out here in the hospital i'm sorry i shouldn't do that to you anyway i'm forgetting somebody i i mentioned what was that right brandy brandy and uh there's another one [Music] jim yes jim gurgley that's right brandi and jim thank you both thank you both so please remember then let's pray right now that the king the true king who has a sure foundation knows how to rescue and deliver the godly father in the name of jesus your son we thank you that you've already showed us through sending jesus you've already showed us your heart as peter said that the lord knows how to deliver the godly out of their time of trial and temptation [Music] thank you lord i'm laughing at the circumstances i'm laughing in the spirit i'm laughing not because these things are light-hearted things but because of my overwhelming confidence and faith in the king of kings and the lord of lords to deliver these that are in the hospital delivering them and comforting those like the whites who have lost loved ones that lord in jesus name we pray in every way that you would minister god minister grace today as we pray lord for delaurah and benny brock and that entire family god strengthen them and minister grace to them and help them everybody in our church lord we who is battling covenant 19 lord we curse it from the root in jesus name we commanded to get out of their bodies in jesus name and we command strength by psalm 29 11 the lord will the lord will the lord will bless his people with strength and the lord will raise them up but we praise you for that in jesus name we give you praise so to you goes all the glory king of kings and lord of lords in jesus name we pray and everybody said amen amen praise god you'll wave to telling you that this is a loaded prophetic month somebody say loaded loaded not very often you find rosh hashanah the jewish new year you find yom kippur which rosh hashanah is tomorrow begins tomorrow and then you have yom kippur in the 15th and then you have the feast of tabernacles september 20 through 27th i said it's a loaded prophetic month [Music] wow what does this mean for us well first of all forty days of testimony means preparation prepare yourself began on august the seventh which goes through yonkapoor september the 15th and it begins with the month of elul in the jewish calendar elul means to remember god's design for you and to realign yourself with god's design for your life so we come to communion paul says first question we're supposed to examine ourselves so today let's realign ourselves beloved let's remember what god's design is for us let's let let the devil have any place in us and let's rely on ourselves rosh hashanah which begins tomorrow goes through the 8th of september is the new year in this happy new year is a time when they eat apples and honey to symbolize the sweetness of the new year and they chronicle from the creation they believe of the earth this year in hebrew is 57 82 5782. i know scientists say that you know the earth is millions of years old and all that i'm not going to go through all that today aren't you glad praise god amen year 57-82 but this is also a shemitah year what is a shemitah year see you're getting a hebrew lesson actually glad you came on labor day weekend hallelujah so shemeta is every seven years it is a sabbath year and after seven sabbaths comes after 49 years comes jubilee the 50th years of jubilee so shemitah year is is this year that begins tomorrow which means what it means a day of god's abundance and provision it means a day of release it means a day of power and glory of god god's showing up showing off and you resting in his goodness and provision in your life anybody as many okay well guys must be going to publix i guess or win dixie uh whoo got some sections in here so i got to go down there with pastor manny's crew and they just did a great job of feeding uh talked to one guy and again the bridge folks from the bridge have been visiting with us uh and folks for the bridge would you just stand up we want to welcome you today there's some folks in the bridge right there would you welcome the folks in the bridge god bless you guys thanks for coming they are good people and uh mike down there yesterday i was down there and we had hamburgers and macaroni and cheese you talk about comfort food macaroni and cheese come on somebody oh man they had all kinds of goodies and and mike says he said you know what he said this is the best meal i've had down here in 21 days it's been the best meal and uh i was so proud of our team and pastor manny and all the group for preparing the best meals that can be uh given down there to people who are in need into a cave and sometimes keep us in a cave well i know you may not be so excited but i know the lord has people here by divine appointment i'm going to read from 1st kings 19 7-8 next week we begin you ask for it series and we'll be doing a series of hot topics we had some responses that came in from that i guess month-wide effort that we had asking for what topics you wanted to hear about so we will be covering some some hot topics next week is going to be along the lines of this but different it's going to be how a person wrote in and say how do i live a positive life with unending negative things that keep on occurring speaking about this covet environment going to hear some i think some real revelations next week about that also we will be looking at the end times people have been asking about when is the rapture when is there going to be the tribulation period when is there going to be this that and the other take place well we're going to talk about that on one of the weeks that we are here together people have been asking about the lgbt community and what is a biblical response in both truth and grace to those and again the role of human sexuality how do we uh relate and address those things in our country and culture today uh we'll be talking further uh about uh some other things i can't remember at the moment but anyway you asked for it coming up it's a good time to invite friends good time to invite people i said it's a good time to invite friends testing one two it's a good time because i believe that god and his word has an answer for us in every situation and i believe god will do some things in us to hope hopefully make us the kind of people that we need to be in these last days first kings chapter 1978 but the angel lord came back a second time and touched him and said arise and eat because the journey is too long or too great for you so he arose and ate and drank and journeyed in the strength of that food for 40 days and 40 nights to horeb the mountain of god father we just pray that you would have an anointing and have a freshly baked word for us this morning and then have freshly anointed ministry of your presence at the end of this message today heal our hurts heal our hearts heal our thoughts lord make us the kind of body of christ that ministers in these dark days and times raise us up and uh be pleased with us may we john 8 29 always do those things which please you so god be with us today in jesus name we ask everybody said amen amen and god bless you and also god bless you by the pastor white amen happy labor day a few hours in advance you say well why would you wish me a happy labor day i'm glad you asked that question look at labor day began in 1882 this is the 139th year of observing labor days labor days began at a protest they began out of the industrial revolution that had positive progress but it also had 12-hour work days seven days a week it also had child labor abuse they would use children as young as five and six-year-old kindergartners in mines in factories in mills and pay them a fraction of what they paid other workers then there was the deplorable sanitary conditions there were no breaks no fresh air in some of those factories it was pretty awful people began to protest and in their protest they came up with actually even the day after the first observance of labor day our nation formed the department of labor and started working on providing a better place to work for the 161 million civilian workforce in america plus the 10 million government and military workforce that currently is working in american life so we understand there has been a reason to say happy labor day enjoy your day off if you have it off there's another kind of labor abuse though that is developed in the 1960s and that labor abuse has been famously noted in the country of japan japan was very ambitious national pride and wanted to rebuild their nation after world war ii and so they put in a ferocious expectation of their workforce they expected their people to work 12-hour days and to work hard to rebuild their country and to get back in the leadership of the league of nations so much so that they began having people fall over dead at their workplace because people were like mr a we'll call them that mr a worked in a snack preparation plant in japan he worked 110 hours a week now that is two and a half 40 hour work weeks into one week you have to work nearly 16 hours a day seven days during the week to put in 110 hours of work and they came in one day and found him dead at his work post only 34 years of age died of a heart attack they came up with the name kiroshi karoshi is a new name it's a new word in fact you see the chinese came up with their own word and then south koreans came up with their own word because their dictionaries their language did not have a word to describe working yourself to death so they had to reinvent a word to describe a modern phenomenon that is that people were working themselves to death when you look at johann hari saying we need to stop talking about chemical imbalances and start talking about life imbalances when it comes to mental illness because 90 of mental illness is caused by life imbalances that our life is out of control somebody say amen for your neighbor elijah's meltdown is fairly simple it's not just that he didn't have enough faith it wasn't that he just didn't know enough of the word in the bible he didn't have the bible the scrolls it's not just that he needed to have a little more self-will determination no he had worked himself into his condition under the juniper tree of asking god to take his life it wasn't because he was a spiritual weakling no in fact the bible tells us how strong he was and that in james chapter 5 if we're like him and pray like him we can see effectual fervent prayers avail much so what was it that caused this great man of faith what is it that in this coven 19 disgusting era in human history that we need to guard ourselves against well we need to guard ourselves against some of the things on his path some things that are were not on his path but first of all of course was isolation we talked about that yesterday we talked about the fact that he had been isolated before and then now he was withdrawing from people left his servant in beersheba and went on from there into the where he'd be in the cave so he was all alone withdrew from everybody and of course what we find out even the new york times article about uh again i'm lonely and living article basically said this that there are now more suicides double in fact more than double than there are homicides in our country that more people are taking their own lives than there are any murderers or people that are taking someone else's life in a violent way also we might know dr dan sorter dr dan sorter has pointed out that loneliness is so emotionally lethal that it is equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day that's how damaging loneliness is to your health elijah was in a loneliness that caused him also to be depressed isolation goes to exhaustion exhaustion is that point of him outrunning the the uh chariot over there to jezreel it is him going from excuse me can we turn that down thank you so much it's bothering me appreciate that thank you it was going from jezreel down to the uh wilderness of mount horeb it was going 260 miles from the place of victory to a place of defeat he was tired he was worn out and he goes under the juniper tree and says take my life we look at the interpersonal conflict that is ahab and jezebel who rejected him emotional rejection is again lethal to our emotional depletion and he came up with this distorted view of life that this sort of view of life which many in this covenant 19 era in fact in covet 19 what we find out is that one out of every four young people under the age of 30 had suicidal thoughts one in the 10 of the rest of us adult americans had the same suicidal thoughts that antidepressant medicine went up 300 percent during 2020 because of covet 19. people were trying to deal with their depression and all that was going on divorce has gone up 20 because of the stress that kovid 19 has placed on families and on marriages we are talking about something that has been lethal suicides are up alcohol consumption is up people are struggling under the withdrawal of of covet 19 of being away from people of being exhausted with it all of again the threat and the worry of the illness so we are dealing with real situations but here's the antidote on this point that physical restoration leads to spiritual revitalization i submit to you that when you're tired when you're worn out when you have just lost something significant that you are in a vulnerable position you may not feel god anywhere around you you may not have the strength to pray like you normally do read the word like you normally do and it's in that time that all of us need to pray for you amen that we need to gather together and pray for those that are going through times of transition because sheep are the most vulnerable every shepherd knows when they're in transition that's when the wolves try to devour them so when we look at this this part of our life we understand that the lord told the angel not to say to elijah you should be ashamed of yourself why aren't you full of more faith why are you so wimpy right now and want to ask me to kill you why do you want to check out but no he didn't do that did he no instead he said to the angel go down there and tell him to get up and tell him to eat something and then to go back and take a nap how about that anybody can can anybody get into obeying that word from god hey eat and sleep i tell you what it doesn't get any better than that folks right so he gives them this instruction he sleeps he gets up and again he gives them something else to eat now this was not the 150 pounds of sugar that we consume every one of us as americans because it's all in our processed food but no it was a what is called a a desert cake it was a flat cake a flat biscuit it wasn't biscuits and gravy and sausage and bacon and and jelly and jams and all the various things we liked you know it was something that he needed to make the journey in the wilderness for 40 days right so he gave him something good to eat how many of you can stand a change in your diet say amen after labor day amen after labor day so we look at sleep you know it was sleep that we all are supposedly two we get two to two and a half hours less sleep every day than those americans that lived a hundred years ago i tell you 54 of us say we're tired all the time so what's that saying it says that we walk around depleted if you're depleted you have nothing to get right you have nothing to get people are gassed people that seem like they're worn out people are emotionally down why because they're also going through this time of withdrawal they're going through this time of emotional and physical uh stress he told him to fast 40 days he would go on this journey he would fast fasting is good fasting is good for cleansing your body fasting is good for getting certain things out of our diet fasting is good for getting the spiritual discipline in our life and then he told him to keep moving keep on journeying to to mount horup so many people make the mistake of in this cove at 19 climate that they just want to sit and withdraw and do nothing they want to just cocoon themselves and stay inside all the time and not get out and live in fear well let me tell you there's a story about a guy named nicholas white he was trapped in an elevator in new york city took him 41 hours 41 hours for someone to find him and get him out of there and in that time that he tried to get out through the ceiling couldn't do that open he pried open the doors of the elevator just a brick wall was in front of me he couldn't do anything he couldn't get in or out anything he was desperate thought he would die there well after they got him out when he was stuck in that position do you know that it wasn't long that a job that he had had for 15 years he lost the job and the reason he did is because he couldn't function on the job the post-traumatic stress was so great that he couldn't function on the job like he used to function lost his job spent all of his savings lost his apartment one of his family members had to come and get him why because of post-traumatic stress effects in his life can i tell you that this is what was happening with elijah that he was going through a post-traumatic stressful event and in that time he was vulnerable in that time he seemed to not have the faith to be able to get out can i tell you that you need to be aware that if you don't feel so hyper spiritually if you feel more reserved and cocooning things don't feel like they used to be in your marriage things don't feel like they used to feel in your life and your emotions just maybe you need to take some physical advice to eat sleep okay everybody let's go to take a nap and let's go to krispy kreme doughnuts no don't go to krispy kreme let's eat let's sleep let's fast i've got leaders too but let's keep moving one third of people who go through lost and in this coven 19 uh environment we've all lost something not we haven't been a part of a graduation uh lost someone in death lost a career situation in all this environment we have to keep moving we cannot just sit and die in a cave of depression why are you here elijah why are you sitting here no you need to get out and go let me tell you keep moving because just like elijah god had great plans for elijah he just had to get elijah out of the depletion physically and mentally that he was in so he could lead him to the greater season that was about to happen in his life oh god help me to communicate wake up get out of your funk in the name of jesus christ he has got good plans for you for america for the church we just have to awaken ourselves to believe it and walk in it come on somebody give him a praise in his house come on somebody give me a praise like you mean it come on praise him god wake us up help us oh god help us okay [Applause] i'm really not mad i just felt that we've got to wake up we've got to shake ourselves out of this we got to get out of this funk and get back into the presence of god this is what hershel walker had to do herschel walker now is running for the senate in georgia hershey walker is is a great athlete he is a he is somebody that was uh again a great university of georgia a running back led him to a national championship he won the heisman trophy was spent 12 years in the nfl he was racking up 8 000 yards and 61 touchdowns in the nfl successful businessman you'd never know that this guy at one time was suffering from a disassociative disorder in his personality what is a disassociative disorder it is where he talked about in this book breaking free where he was raised in adjective poverty where he was an overweight child where he was always bullied in school where he stuttered as a child and could not break out of it and yet in all of that upbringing he developed an alternate ego and he would try to uh act in a different way than what he really was act in a compliant way than the fighter that he was act in a defeated way to bullies instead of a victorious one as he really was in his own identity and he talks about through his faith breaking free from this disassociative disorder in his personality he's not the only one that battles that when we look at what elijah was doing elijah was ruminating ruminating and he was warping his identity this super prophet had become a wimp this super prophet had gone into a cave this super prophet had lost his identity and all he could do is ruminate about how bad things were sound familiar in america what is ruminating ruminating is another term psychological term for what a cow does called chewing the cut anybody heard about chewing the cut well we got some agricultural folks amen chewing to cut cow eats grass cow swallows grass a cow regurgitates the grass back up into his mouth anybody ready for lunch right now how about that a cow chews it again swallows it again the cow regurgitates it chews it swallows it again again he regurgitates it chews it swallows it again are you getting sick to your stomach yet how many of you know that every time that cow chews that swallows it and he regurgitates it again then it doesn't taste better than the last time he chewed come on some farmer come on anybody here you see ruminating on negative thoughts is that that we think a negative thought about i'm worried about catching covet or i'm such a loser or i made such a bad mistake or y'all never get over this and you think about it you swallow it and then you then you regurgitate it back up again yeah i really am a loser yeah i really am afraid of kobe yeah i really don't think i'll get over there and and you swallowed it again then you regurgitated that and every time you do it gets worse and more negative before long you are in a cave and you don't want to go anywhere talk to anybody and do anything see brian tracy said this said that 95 of our emotions are determined by the way we talk to ourself i know it's not funny but it's true what are you saying to yourself what are you saying to yourself about kobe what are you saying to yourself about your future what are you saying yourself about god what are you saying yourself about your own self identity what are you saying to yourself about the things you're facing in life what are you saying to yourselves you see what we find is that elijah had a warped eye identity what does that mean well i'm glad you asked that let me just point this out to you elijah would say i've done my part but nothing is working out god would say go back the way you came you can face your problems selah next one please elijah said i have reached out to people they're all against me god says they're not all against you there are seven thousand who have not lowered their knee to baal elijah said i'm all alone god there's no one on my side [Music] god says i have appointed you partners that was going to be uh jesus l and that was going to be jehu and a successor which was going to be elisha don't say you're all by yourself and then finally elijah would say i have a dark future everyone is out to destroy and get me god said not you will succeed at overcoming all of your enemies [Applause] can i tell you in the name of your elder brother jesus in the name of your father jehovah god can i tell you to get rid of the post-traumatic stress of covet 19 can i tell you to clean out the the things the devil the accuser of the brethren is trying to convince you and all his lies can i tell you to tear down every uh every vain imagination and take every thought captive to the truth of jesus christ because you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free can i tell you to wrap yourself in your anointing of god step out and square your shoulders and say if god is for me who can be against me i can do all things through christ who strengthens me may and all these things i am more than a conqueror through jesus christ my lord and my savior come on and praise him if you believe that it's time to get out of the cave and to find your purpose my family went to boston for vacation this summer and went by the very place that the bomb went off in the boston marathon 2013. story is about this guy in the cowboy hat see the guy in a cowboy hat this is carlos arredonto carlos aerodanto used to be a a guy that went into the rodeos when a rodeo bull rider would fall off and was injured he would run in and he would rescue that injured or fallen cowboy in that dangerous scene with that bull raging he was the guy that volunteered for the fire department he was a guy that just had a served spirit but why he rushed into and was the first to rush in to rescue someone's life when that bomb went off was because that he had also lost two of his own sons he lost his first son who was a marine a u.s marine in 2004 war in iraq and it was so devastating to that son's younger brother that his younger son brian in 2011 took his own life and so he said on an interview of why did you go in first and save this guy's life and get your hands all bloody and get the tourniquet and get him safety why are you either we why were you the first person he said well because i lost my two sons i wanted to help somebody else's son because i lost my two sons i wanted to help somebody else's son see 40 percent of people who go through trauma and loss end up having a greater compassion for those who have also gone through trauma and loss and in that they change they become more others focused but others get stuck others don't become more others focused others become more narcissistic like america did in 2020. during the first three months of covet 19 drug addiction went up in march 19 in april 29 and in may 42 instead of us focusing on others a lot of americans focused on themselves in a narcissistic way of trying to cope with the stress of what was going on you see all of you here today and all of you everybody listening online you have to decide what the meaning of life is you've already decided it in some way shape or form freud which i would not recommend you reading a psychologist that was totally demented said that the meaning of life is pleasure so just live your life for every pleasure under the sun like the epicureans victor frankel who was a jewish psychologist who counseled many of the people who came through the holocaust said he found that the meaning of life was purpose not pleasure but if people didn't have a purpose they would fill their life with pleasure i submit to you because of the greatest backsliding america's ever seen in their faith in 20 years the greatest number of people who have left church the greatest number of people america is trying to fill their lives with pleasure instead of purpose but don't let that be said of the church what have you and i done what are we doing are we cocooning or are we also understanding that god in this season has a purpose for us to be the light in a darkened time you see what god said to elijah is elijah i've listened to your ruminating you have wine two times two different times in just one chapter he's singing the same old blues song about you know lord hey let me tell you how bad it is i'm the only one serving you that they have they've broken down your altars they have forsaken your covenant and now they're trying to kill me two different times he rehearses this rumination of his negative thoughts he's been thinking about it all the way in that 40-day journey through the desert you know about how bad things are and he winds up in a cave and if we'll do the same thing if we are going to wind up in a cave it's going to be because we are thinking about negative things and our distorted thoughts and perception or robbing us of the faith that god wants us to have to overcome but in this case purpose god says to him listen buddy this is what you're going to do you're going to go back the way you came and you the way you came you came through beersheba which in one regard was known in israel as the gateway to the wilderness you can again go into a wilderness all your life but yet i want you to go back and come through the wilderness but also beersheba means the oath the place where again elijah would take the oath to serve god he says i want you to remember i want you to remember i want you to remember that you made a commitment to me and i want you to remember that commitment and then i want you to know that it's not just about you elijah and the way you think things should work out but i want you to minister to others i want you to find purpose i want you to anoint hezel for syria i want you to know jehu for israel i want you to throw your mantle around elisha get a buddy in the ministry don't go it alone and build a successor in the ministry i want you to have friends elijah i want you to do ministry with somebody elijah i want you to have purpose but that purpose is focusing on what i can do through you for others and it's not just those three people it was nations that god wanted him to affect let me tell you that jesus christ is not in a panic uh attack up in heaven because of covet 19. let me tell you he's waiting for the church which the gates of hell will never prevail against to rise up and say we are the answer we will help you we will pray for you we will come to you we will be the answer in these times that you need we are not afraid but we are going to be emboldened by our lord and our savior to make a difference in this nation and in 9 11 we're going to come and pray our way to victory as well we are going to make a difference to finding the purpose that god has for our life amen and give him a praise clap today come to piano please that's why we do these launches you know these launches are about you finding your purpose about finding a group finding finding a finding a team to serve finding finding a place where you can turn your mess into your message and help somebody else but the final thing is the best thing and the most important good getting out of the other side of the cave and this is this is not as practical as the other three this is more spiritual but it's the most powerful because this is really the key christian church is not a bunch of rules it's a relationship so the only way you get through things is with christ the holy spirit so i want you to see this and we're done what we find is that elisha excuse me elijah gets in a funk and he's afraid he runs but the only thing he did that was right was that he ran to god he he first went through beersheba and then he went another 200 miles through the wilderness to mount horeb which the scripture says was the mountain of god the mountain of god sounds impressive well that was actually mount sinai that's where god's glory was revealed and right with moses and actually 63 chapters i said 61 the first service but actually 63 chapters in the bible are devoted to just what happened on top of mount sinai that's pretty impressive so what did he do he he decided to do whatever he had to do to get into the presence of god [Music] fasting and going 200 miles in the wilderness i want to tell you that the greatest thing you could have is a spiritual hunger during these days [Music] the greatest thing you could have is not just i just want to sit and play it safe i'm telling you the greatest thing that you should have is a desire to get into the presence of god oh amen amen amen you see the scripture on the bottom here says go and stand before go and stand before the lord but there's another scripture that talks about in verse 7 that when he fed elijah the angel fed him he said elijah you can't go without this food the journey is too great or too long for you [Music] so here's god who is sending an angel to make sure he feeds him with what he needs to get back to horeb where he's going to meet god can i tell you whether you know him or whether you're backslidden whether you have been raised in church or never knew anything about church can i tell you that god will do anything to get you back to him the devil's stolen you away from him if you don't know him the devil will try to steal you away from god but god will do anything he has to do to get you back to him he wants you to be his he wants you to be in his fellowship [Music] second thing is this ironic to me because here's angels feeding them to getting ready to go 200 miles in the wilderness away from where god would tell them to go back to [Laughter] y'all follow me and then when he gets there then god says to him twice what are you doing here elijah [Music] you guys are already eating barbecue right now your mind somewhere else isn't it you guys have already left me haven't you [Music] he says an angel to feed him and then when he gets there he says what are you doing here i guess nobody thinks that's funny miss guarantee but you and me right let me tell you god would provide everything he needed to get him into a place of his presence where he could speak to him [Music] see elijah he wasn't in the position you know sometimes we just don't want to hear it do we sometimes we're just not in a position to hear some correction from god or maybe we're maybe we're thinking that god's like one of us as parents and say hey kid hey you fall out of that tree and break both of your legs don't you come running back to me right or we're yelling something a kid you know as a father he's not interested in yelling at you he brought him to a place of love he took care of him he fed him gave him his comfort food and brought him all the way to a place where he could then correct him in love and that's what he said are you ready to receive this elijah what are you doing here not just here but what are you doing in this mental state and spiritual state [Music] i want to tell you when you worship god that's when he begins to change our distorted thinking come on somebody when you worship god alba your heavenly father begins to correct some things you know you really should apologize to that person you really should repent from this you really should not do that you really should move in this direction but you and i can't hear that if we're not in the presence of god and we trust that god loves us [Music] he got him alone he didn't rebuke him in front of all the other prophets in front of the king he got him alone talked to him privately what are you doing here elijah then he told him the key in verse 11. he's in the cave he says here it is elijah go and stand before the lord go and stand before the presence of the lord king james says go out and stand before the presence of god now this is an invitation go out and stand before the presence of god [Music] i just can't tell you what an invitation it is when only a hundred high priests were able to go behind that veil to the holy of holies in all those hundreds of years only a hundred people could get into the presence manifest presence of god and here he's saying to this prophet go and stand before the presence of god and yet we come to church it's like [Music] i want to tell you that [Music] the key of why this is on board it comes down to this and will be done the only way that this could have been the turning point that it was supposed to be where it would open up the greatest future that he had never even seen or realized he could he didn't conceive what was going to happen you know anointing these people and the succession and then raptured in a whirlwind of chariot fire and then he comes back in the amount of transfiguration then he's coming back in the tribulation period you know he could he didn't see any of that coming but he knew he loved god made his way to horror but when god said go and stand he had to get in the atmosphere of worship oh yeah there's going to be the earthquake there's going to be the wind there's going to be the fire there's going to be the things that go by but then there was going to be that still small voice and there was going to be that new bond of intimacy some of us need to rebond again with god some of us have been in a cave where we just kind of didn't know why god allowed this didn't know why that happened not sure why he didn't heal this person not sure why this loss of job not sure this and we were in a cave friend you got to go stand before the presence of a good god who knows how to work all things together for your good and who has a great future and you got to go stand because he wants to prepare you for a new season come on somebody he wants to prepare you for a new season but in order for you to get to that season you've got to be able to come and stand with the hands lifted oh lord i'm going to praise you i'm going to come and stand before the presence of god i'm going to worship and as he began to worship as he began to hear from god god came in that new intimacy he came in that still small voice it was just like the psalmist in psalm 73 my foot would have slipped when i saw what was happening in the world the wicked seemed to be prospering and we were not but then but then but then i went to the sanctuary [Music] then i went to worship and it changed everything in my life one moment in the presence of god will change your entire life i'm here to tell you it's if you don't can't find god just begin to worship him and he'll find you john 4 24 he seek as such to worship him in spirit and in truth if you want to find god get out of your cave and begin to worship him say god i am standing before your presence for you to do a new season a new thing in my life and i'm believing that you have great and mighty things in store for me let's minister to someone else in need there's a commission here today and i want us to not just be blessed i want us to be used by god we got to come out of the cave and say god i want to be a minister for you so lord have your way in me send me send me send me to the places that i have brother would you come up and help me pray for some folks here today do you want prayer today i'm going to ask you stay here do you want to have prayer we want to pray for you if you need healing in your body you need strength again papa you're here to help me pray as well i want you to be you can stay here but right now i want you to let's ask god to use you and then we're going to pray for everybody that's here that wants to be prayed for jesus come on pray lord i give you my life [Music] i ask you to use
