nothing hidden from you and you know every detail about us but regardless of what we face in the situations that we look around us to see lord god we know that you're in control of all things and with adoration and complete trust in you we lift up our hands before you and say father we trust you regardless of what the earth may seem to be doing right now so we glorify your name even in this place see he's awesome god in the old testament god said who can you compare me to that's why he forbid any images to be made of him because nothing that we could make would ever come close to what his essence is that's why there was great weeping in heaven in revelation 5 because no one could open the scroll that had a good future except there was one the lamb of god and when he rose and could redeem us from hell redeem us from satan redeem us from sickness redeem us from sorrow to wipe away every tear from our eye when that one stood up then they said you are worthy o lord you are worthy of them you are worthy you are worthy to receive honor glory which is a power strength you are worthy [Music] yes you are worthy lord you are so worthy lord [Music] the bible says in psalm 50 23 that whoever offers praise prepares the way for god to show them his great salvation whoever offers praise prepares the way for god to show them his great salvation i believe god can deliver you right now where you are deliver me right now i believe he can deliver us and believe he can use us today to deliver our county our city our nation i believe that because the bible makes that promise and so i want you to begin to praise him he said well pastor i have a need well we all have a need amen but the greatest thing you have is to praise him because whatever you need he is i am the great i am right i am healing i am provision i am just the joy that you i am the peace i am everything so right now i just want you to praise him for what you need would you do that right now would you expect god to save your loved one heal your body would you expect god to give you the joy unspeakable right would you expect god to do what you need god i'm a robocor holy spirit we worship you today we praise you jesus we glorify you we praise you we praise you our healer may heal and come into every person now in jesus name we release healing jehovah jehovah jehovah heal your people heal your people come on now heal your people heal your people jehovah jireh provide we praise you for providing for your people we thank you jesus salvation saving our loved ones saving our family yeshua you've come to bind up the brokenhearted and to set the captive free we praise you lord we're healed we praise you lord we're free today oh hallelujah may you receive all the glory and all the honor we praise you oh god of this nation that you will once again send another awakening to america we praise you god for another outpouring of the holy spirit we praise you for the churches again being filled for again the praise is filling this nation we praise you again for the outpouring upon our sons and daughters o god we praise you for the prophesied in our young generation and we thank you god for every every balm that you are the ball of a gilead for every soothing calm healing agent that you send into our hearts and minds thank you lord today we give you the glory and we give you the praise anybody feel better today give god a praise amen praise him oh we praise you lord praise you lord amen remember before you're seated those that have lost loved ones remember we've just sent to heaven sue but afuco went to be with jesus this week so pray for her husband tom and their family today minister to them if you didn't know sue was one that stood in the altar and would sing i raised a hallelujah she's raising the best hallelujah right now on the streets of glory for sure i pray for that family no arrangements known pray for susan herbal her son joshua also went home to be with the lord you know she said i thank god that joshua came to know christ here at the city sanctuary praise god this is a soul-saving place and joshua is with the lord we give praise to god for that all the families who lost loved ones this past week well we pray for your divine grace and your comfort minister to them god and strengthen them god deliver lord every person uh lord in our church from from sickness coronavirus from death god deliver them in jesus name no death no destruction no disease in jesus name we declare life and healing we declare we are the head and not the tail we declare revival and renewal and strength we declare that the lord psalm 29 11 will bless his people with strength and peace and in jesus name we give praise to you god in the name of the lord we pray to give i fell into that when i was in seminary i said oh i don't have enough to give and do this and that and the other and i told you the story before but i i found out that that was the wrong way to think and god showed me that he could do more with me tithing than than saving money to put on bills so god is approver he will prove to you his faithfulness i say god will prove to you his faithfulness and he said the only place in the bible he says prove me is with regards to money why because money is so important to us we work hard for it and then also we feel like it sustains obviously our livelihood but god is the one who actually sustains your livelihood god is the one who sustains you and so trust him today and learn to worship him not only in spirit but in also material giving and he will reveal more ways that you can trust him let's pray father i thank you that you're a father that you develop your children and that you teach us and you're so very patient with us i thank you lord that you don't need any of our money because you said if i was in need of of uh of silver or gold i wouldn't ask you you said that you owned the cattle a thousand hills you wouldn't ask us for anything because you own it all the lord you invite us to trust you through giving you invite us to partner with you by establishing your covenant in the earth you've given us according to deuteronomy 8 and 18 the ability to gain wealth so that we can establish your covenant so lord teach us to worship teach us to honor you teach us to trust you and lord show your people great and mighty provisions lord miracles even a provision lord may you give back good measure pressed down shaken together and running over or we ask that you would command others to give unto your uh as we address you asked for it uh we will be addressing some sensitive issues and uh one of those we're gonna be talking about uh you know jesus said and marriage and and then also talking about in the next sunday the uh bible in the lgbtq community i feel like that we need to address this has been a topic on our christian campuses and christian colleges as well as secular campuses and uh feel like that we need to bring truth and grace to the subject so uh that's going to be on two weeks from today so just know that if you have children that you bring in here you may may not want to do that you know we're not going to have anything r-rated but when we talk about certain subjects we sometimes want to give a warning that maybe children that are younger may not want to be present so you as parents decide that we do have a very very qualified children's pastor team my wife and uh and her mother that is available for you and your kids so she was very happy yesterday because she she took around a a potential children's pastor uh candidate to look at housing so she was very happy yesterday and uh i said well i wonder where that joy came from anyway she is enjoying the kids but she also has been praying for god's perfect couple and we just may have landed them uh we'll see they will be coming up uh next friday night yeah they'll be here at 6 30 uh next friday in the student center uh for anybody to come you're all welcome to come 6 30 to 7 30 student center to meet our new candidate for children's pastors and uh be a q a and so forth meet and greet so you're welcome to come next next friday at 6 30 to 7 30 in the student center then they will be teaching our kids on the 17th of october the sunday after candyland when all of you are laying in bed because you're so tired from serving god they will be here on the 17th to actually do the children's church ministry so again please be sure and be there bring your kids to see them on that day living with hope in the last days how would you gauge yourself would you gauge yourself as emotionally full empty half full kind of check with you day by day to see how it's going hope is an indication of where your emotions are and your faith is so sometimes people say i don't feel very hopeful that's an emotional response and many times our emotions can be very much a battle for us living with hope in the last days means living victoriously so one of the questions we're asking answering today when it says you asked for it a question that came in about when is the rapture of the church when is the rapture of the church well all of this is is tied to god's deliverance for you and we're believing for deliverance for all of you if you haven't received what you want yet then we're believing by the time this service is over you will let's look at first thessalonians when you've read that epistle lately first thessalonians chapter 4 and verse 13 15-18 for we say this to you by the word of the lord that's not by paul's word but by the word of the lord that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the lord will not precede those who have fallen asleep for the lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout and with the voice of the archangel with the trumpet of god and the dead in christ will rise first then we who are alive and remain will be caught up harpazzo you agree class we'll be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air so shall we ever be with the lord therefore comfort one another with these words all right i don't feel comfort well hopefully we'll by the end jesus we love you we certainly love you you're worthy of all of our praise you are the most high and we give you glory today bless your people and bless me to preach and bless what is preached to be distributed by the holy spirit into every heart that it will not return void but it will accomplish that which you please to build up lift up and to deliver your people we ask it in jesus name and everybody said amen amen jerusalem post march 26 2020. why do some christians believe coronavirus is an apocalyptic prophecy why do some christians believe that the coronavirus is an apocalyptic referring to the apocalypse in revelation the unveiling of the things that come why do they believe that because the coronavirus points to the last days and then points to the end times it is one of the signs luke 21 and verse 11 that jesus gave for a sign to let us know that his coming was near and a poll by mclaughlin and associates across the nation 29 believe the coronavirus crisis indicates that we are living in the last days 43 believe the coronavirus is both a judgment from god and a wake-up call to turn people back to faith in god we look at what this actually is we know that it is a momentum building sign and the bible records pestilences in the new testament alone 127 different times obviously is one of those replete things that are going to be taking place in the last days and in the end times we can see that in the 19th century there were two deadly pandemics in the 20th century three deadly pandemics and then we can see that the number of infectious diseases over the last century has quadrupled and the last stat on the screen which says that the number of infectious outbreaks since 1980 has tripled so what is that saying to you well it should be saying do you wake up because one of these signs in fact if we were to sit here today we could go through all of them from earthquakes to to wars and rumors of wars so all all the signs are increasing so wake up christian understand you are not just here to shop until you drop you're not just here to watch football all day until your eyes fall out you're not just here to punch the clock you are here in the last days you are living in the last days for the church world now you need to understand god expects some things from you in that but when we look at the prophecy in the bible we know that the bible is a prophetic book what does a prophetic mean it means not in this case foretelling although it does foretell but it is foretelling 27 of the bible old testament new testament combined was prophetic or foretelling when it was first recorded i say 20 when it's first recorded because obviously there's been so many hundreds of prophecies already been fulfilled in fact jesus fulfilled 33 in one day when he was crucified so again many of these have been fulfilled but when the bible was originally pinned penned almost a third of it was prophetic or foretelling about the future and for every one time that the bible foretold his first coming it tells about his second coming eight times for every one time he's coming the first time eight times it says he's coming the second time let me tell you you can mark it now jesus christ is coming back to earth again amen hallelujah he's coming back so what are the signs of the end times i'm glad you asked that question signs of the end times are first of all a great falling away now this great fallen way does not mean there's just going to be a lot of sinners in the world sinners don't know god right sinners are i should say unbelievers we all have sin that comes for the glory of god every one of us so we all know in that regard have been sinners but it is the unbelievers are going to be filling the world but it's not about unbelievers from the world it is about those who have known the lord and have gone back on him and this we find in uh ii thessalonians chapter 2 verse 2 uh talks about that before there is the coming of the lord in verse 3 their first must be an apostasy now that's a a is a negator ah apostasy means to stand away from the faith there's gonna be those that were serving god and then they step away they step back they backslide they stop following the lord and there's going to be a great falling away it's going to be a fallen way of both doctrinally falling away and morally falling away first timothy 4 verses 1 2 says the spirit expressly says that in the last times that people will pay heed to seducing spirits that is moral debauchery they will be seduced into sin and licentiousness and all kinds of of sinful moral behavior and they will pay heed to the doctrines of demons so there's both going to be an apostasy morally from god a casting off of restraint of any of his commands to whatever feels good that's like the time of judges would you know everyone does what's right in their own eyes to also a doctrinal standing away from the bible and the bible isn't the authoritative word for my life it's it's not even authoritative and there's going to be all the challenges and all the perverted doctrines that are going to come in the last days we look at second timothy chapter three verse one through five is going to talk about another moral apostasy and that's where it talks about people will be lovers of pleasure uh and lovers of the world but not lovers of god they will have a form of godliness but deny the power of it it goes through all these characteristics of they'll be truce breakers and they'll be irreconcilable and he goes through all these characteristics of moral debauchery or ungodliness we have the un that means that we were made godly but we have un we've undone what we were made to be so that is going to characterize one of the signs of the last days no wonder you see there being a falling away the last 20 years in america has seen the greatest regression of church attendance in our nation's history and then we have all that's going on with coronavirus and then we have all that you know people have fallen out because that and then all the other things let me tell you that this is a sign that is coming to pass please don't be a statistic please don't be a righteous roadkill please stay connected to god don't lose out before he comes again and then growing globalism we understand the coronavirus helped us do that when all of us were you know couldn't find toilet paper or bottled water in the store right we understood about this the global supply chain and about uh all the way the world is com is connected with the internet and connected with spreading diseases like the coronavirus and and connecting all kinds of way governmentally when the united nations began in 1945 and so there's going to be an increase in globalism because this is setting up the antichrist empire for him to rule and reign one day just like in genesis 10 11 nimrod ruled for satan over the known world at babel so it is that even the eu their headquarters are made after the tower of babel we look at the reuniting of the roman empire this is again going to be that uh reconfiguring of the ancient roman empire that is going to happen in the last days the eu started in 1957 and for the first time in 1600 years the first time in 1600 years we see the the foundation of what would be the restoration of the old roman empire now it has 27 different nations in it right now and that's going to come down to 10 in the time of the tribulation period but it is already being set up for that reunification of the old roman empire another sign like i said 16 years 1600 years until 200 2009 is when again we saw that that was a reality even though that began in 57 regathering of israel regathering of israel is the super sign right the regathering of israel nothing could happen before the end days unless israel is back in their land because everything centers around that and uh it was a miracle after 2000 years to see god uh bring back his peoples that were scattered to 70 different countries bring them back in 1948 and make them a nation began in 1891 and we go through the progression here and in 2009 there were for the first time in 2000 years there were more jews living in israel than any other single place in the world now again right now they have more jews living in israel than we have living in the u.s and we have the second greatest population of jewish people but again for the first time in 2000 years there were more people more jews living in israel than there were any other single place in the world what does that say our god can do anything that's what it says praise god amen hallelujah i understand that the tribulation period again has to all center around the jews being in the land of israel so without them being back in the land there can be no end times as the bible has predicted it but just wake up somebody and understand that this happened in 1948 hello uh i think we're in 2021 right now right so let me just say to you that they've been in the land and they are ready for and i think the stage is being set for uh what would be coming next for the end time prophecy to be fulfilled so what is that well i want to talk about the middle east peace talks obviously we know all about that we understand that there's been middle east peace talks ever since they became a nation and there has been no peace right and let me tell you there will not be any peace until the antichrist comes and that'll even be a false peace treaty that will begin the tribulation period some say well the pre-tribulation rapture begins the the the tribulation period well officially it is when the antichrist signs the peace treaty with israel that kicks off the official seven years of uh according to daniel chapter nine of the tribulation period the tribulation period is not just what jesus said in john 16 33 in this world you'll have tribulation be a good cheer but overcome the world now that's this trouble that comes from a fallen world right uh no he this tribulation period is jacob's trouble this is this is the outpouring of the of the wrath of god it really is on sin and unbelief now you say well man i didn't know god really had an attitude up there you know hey chill out man come on give us a break right uh but no see what we find out from hebrews 12 is that he says if i don't love you then i i if i'd love you i will chastise you if i love you i will discipline you right so we've had the church age for these two thousand years and it's all grace hey whoever will let them come right uh you know you're saved by grace and through faith not of yourselves i'm just giving it away if you'll just believe in me and trust in me right so god's had all this time for people to come freely and receive grace and be saved and some of them has kept saying no don't want to thank you but all that is going to turn up the heat why because it's me no because he loves this world and he's going to let there be a gradual increasing of the tribulation that the world goes through so hopefully people will look up and say oh lord would you please forgive me i accept your son i accept his salvation but four times throughout the book of revelation it says they still would not repent and this is the thing that god doesn't want anybody to perish he wants nobody to perish you read five verses from the end of revelation it's an altar call whosoever will let them come unto me and drink and they can drink in the water of life freely right come on i'm giving an altar call i'm begging you please somebody come and accept my salvation and what i've done to provide it but yet in order to love everyone into the kingdom there's going to be this tribulation that's going to increase as we go through the time we look at are we then living in the end times well i'm glad you asked that question as well you're on top of it this morning well not really we are not actually living in the end times proper you can say end times as a general umbrella but actually the end times would begin with the rapture of the church the sign of the peace treaty all the way to the battle of armageddon and return of christ the second coming that would be the proper end times because it relates to daniel's uh you know 70th week it relates to this time of god dealing with israel and god dealing with the world right so actually those are the end times that the prophets really pointed to was about that the last days as it was recorded in the old testament for israel is the days that lead up to the coming of the messiah so again as they try to unravel it they didn't see christ as the messiah they missed that in all daniel's prophecies but yet still they are going to see him come at the end of the tribulation period the last days for the church world though that the we are living in the last days that began on the day of pentecost so remember peter said this is that was the prophet joel talked about that in the last days says god i will pour out of my spirit so for the church age for those of us gentiles and all those jews that accept him anybody that accepts him in this age we are in the church age which began the day of pentecost and will go through the time of the rapture of the church so again everybody every scholar talks about the rapture of the church they just talk about it happening at different times which we'll talk about in just a minute which gets so confusing but what we see over and over again is a motivation we see a motivation here we see these disciples and the church that emerged after christ's ascension and we see that he put in them an urgency he put in them an expectancy that he would come back and he would deliver them and in all that you see then these phrases that talk about in first corinthians 1 7 that we eagerly are uh waiting for the revelation of our lord jesus christ philippians 3 20 we eagerly are waiting for the savior how do you eagerly wait it seems like you're waiting you're not eager but you can eagerly wait on him to come back right and then hebrews 9 20 christ will appear a second time to those who eagerly are looking or waiting for him to come back james 5 7-9 for the coming of the lord is near the judge is even standing at the door well how could they say that when it's been 2 000 years since that was written and he hadn't come yet right this is what peter talks about there's going to be scoffers in the last days it says where is his coming where is the promise of his coming he hasn't come in all this time because this urgency of the rapture of the church as opposed to the second coming because the second coming can't happen without the tribulation period taking place right so and he told them signs to look at for the tribulation period but this rapture uh that was a feeling of this deliverance for his people this was a imminent feeling that could happen at any time well even now much more as we see the day approaching of the signs of the tribulation period beginning to line up that we know that the rapture of the church could take place at any time when we look at that from this portion of scripture in first thessalonians chapter four he talks about let me clear up some things that have got you confused because they thought they missed the rapture or they missed the day of the lord and that they had missed also those that have been died in the lord they missed the resurrection that they should have gone up with and so they were in this confusion so paul says let me tell you this is the way it's going to go down that the lord himself shall descend from heaven where is he at he's ever living to make intercession for you and me right now in heaven right he shall descend from heaven with a shout amen a shout and that shout is the shot of the bridegroom that is a shout that a bridegroom would give that that all things have been made ready when he came to get the bride and uh he would say shout and uh and then he's going to basically uh have the voice of an archangel two archangels there's michael the warrior archangel and gabriel the word angel i'm not sure which one are going to step up maybe both of them but the voice of the archangel and the trump of god again there's the shofars there is the silver trumpets that were used and they were all used to gather god's people so this is a shout this is a trump this is the voice of an archangel to say hey let's get together right now amen or hallelujah amen let's get together and he said that they're going to come with that shout and he said the dead in christ are going to rise first hallelujah you got loved ones like i do my dad just put him to heaven this past may their loved ones are going to rise first hallelujah praise god graves are going to open hallelujah graves are going to split open people are going to come out of those graves it's going to come out of urn it's going to come out of the ground if their ashes were spread they're going to be rising first and then we which are alive and remain which means there's going to be some of us that won't taste death that means that someone's going to be raptured amen we're going to be alive it's going to keep on being alive and whoop i'm going to go around it there right and so he said those that are alive and reigns shall be caught up amen shall be caught up to meet the lord in the air and that air means there's a two greek words one means air means from the bottom of the clouds down to earth where satan rules and then it means air from the top of the clouds up and we're going to the top of the clouds up air praise god that's the word that's used there he said we're going to meet the lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the lord hallelujah then he says wherefore comfort one another with these words now i'm going to tell you if we had to go through the entire tribulation would that be a comfort if we had to go through half of the tribulation would that be a comfort i believe that as we look through this in the next couple of points that this pre-tribulation rapture that i'm going to talk about i believe that's the comfort that hey god didn't forget about you god knows where you're at he knows the trouble that's coming but he hasn't forgotten about you he is going to comfort you by rescuing rapturing you before that great day of his wrath comes because you are not under wrath you are under the blessings of god wherefore comfort one another with these words hold it together god has got you he's not gonna forget you he's gonna deliver you so thessalonians hold it together let me tell you in the middle of the coronavirus hold it together you are living with a hope in jesus not a hope in in the cdc not a hope in the white house not a hope in in this or that nation but a hope in jesus christ our lord he's coming back again he's coming back to get this church amen come on and give him a praise hallelujah he's awesome and worthy of our praise you might be obsessed with prophecy if you always leave the top down on your convertible in case the rapture happens right it could be could be obsessed with prophecy if you never buy green bananas because you don't think you'll be around long enough for them to ripen right you could be obsessed if you always sing the 60s pop song up up and away which i have never heard in my life but anyway you could be obsessed if you embark code scan or scare you is this the mark of the beast or not is this okay nobody that's too close to home man okay you could be obsessed if you refused if you refuse a tax refund check because the amount comes at 666 dollars okay you could be obsessed if you can name more signs of the times than you can the ten commandments just saying folks just saying or you could be obsessed if you believe the church fathers were how lindsay and tim lahaye you could be obsessed if you leap when you hear the trumpet or a trumpet whatever all right what's that saying that there can be a frenzy people can get sensational about the last days and this everything they see is last days or people can become scoffers two extremes please be biblical don't be sensational don't be a scoffer read the bible and you'll be good five views of the rapture and this is where you had to put your thinking caps on right here we go five views of the rapture you say well pastor isn't it clear in the bible well if it was clear we wouldn't have five views of the rapture i enjoy my own jokes more than you guys do i just i i can tell that i really coming through loud and clear first of all there is my personal favorite that i think is most compelling from scripture but again uh i am at the end of it i am a pan uh tribulation guy i believe it's all going to pan out the way god wants it to pan out right so pre-tribulation is that we believe that the bible teaches that the church will be raptured before pre the tribulation period begins okay partial rapture this is my most i think humorous one and somebody came up with this partial rapture which says that the uh really spiritual christians would be raptured but the carnal ones would be left behind i'm sorry seems a little judgmental but you know uh you know probably you may have teased your siblings like yeah you're going to be left behind you you know you're not living right but this this uh again i'm making light of this but you know obviously jesus said in matthew 7 that some that say to me lord lord will not enter the kingdom of heaven right so it's possible for people who who pose as christians to not really be born again and then to miss it then there's something believe in the mid-tribulation rapture mid-tribulation goes into uh the um revelation chapter 11 verse 15 uh i believe it is the seventh seal where uh that's where they teach and also some say no it's revelation 14 1-4 that there is a mid-tribulation rapture why do they think that glad you asked that question they think that because the greatest wrath is poured out in the last half of the tribulation period which is specifically referred to as jacob's trouble so they think well okay god's going to spare his people from wrath but it's going to be mid then there's some that are pre-wrath tribulation people and that is basically they go with about a five and a half years into the tribulation period uh later in the book of revelation where there's like the greatest wrath is reserved for the last quarter of the tribulation period so they would say that it's going to be a pre-wrath and pre-wrath is really by the verbiage they think the last quarter of the book of revelation about the judgments that come and then there are post-tribulation believers and those people believe that the uh rapture of the church will coincide at the end of the tribulation period uh with the return of the lord and and the battle of armageddon and that will be when the church is raptured they'd be caught up with him and then to come back and fight simultaneously and all that process that doesn't though deliver god's people from the judgment on sin and wrath that god has said in many places that he wants to do one of the things that's interesting is that every single belief here all hold to the fact that they believe that god does state clearly in his word that he will deliver his people from wrath they just choose to look at it in different parts of the book of revelation so all of them agree though that the bible is clear about god delivering his people from wrath how many of you are glad that god is going to deliver us to god that's good news no matter which one of these you hold to now just in case you you haven't been aware of raptures in the bible there have been other raptures in the bible and i want to make sure you know the bible has other examples enoch was one who walked with god and it says the lord took him he just boop is gone right kind of like we're thinking that the rapture is going to happen and again if the rapture happens you know many believe like you take a country like america where the rapture takes place uh and we have all those millions of believers that are there are instantly gone that it's gonna not only affect our economy our military our nation but it is going to basically throw america into a real critical situation uh and that's why you don't read about them in the nations of the en end times i don't know if that's what's going to happen but i do know that enoch was taken away and he's coming back he's coming back when he's coming back in chapter 11 of revelation where he's going to be one of the two witnesses that come back and witness on the streets of jerusalem elijah remember him he was also raptured in a chariot of fire man that guy knew how to go out and style right he went out in a chariot of fire and uh was raptured and he came back at the transfiguration uh when jesus was transfigured with moses and talking to jesus but he also will be coming back as one of the witnesses in revelation 11. jesus was raptured or he was ascending on high right when he he he blessed them he ascended on high and with clouds come and receive him and take took him out of their sight there's those same clouds remember the first thessalonians that we're going to meet the lord in the air and the clouds well that's that's the image of jesus going up in the clouds so philip was translated uh you could say rapture but translated from one place to another supernaturally paul was was raptured in spirit where he talked about that i when he was stoned that i was caught up that same word that's in first thessalonians about the rapture we'll be caught up i was caught up to the third heaven and i saw things there that i can't even begin to describe so that was a spiritual rapture while his body was dead on the earth and then he came back to his body and so there is biblical precedent for rapture let's go on in the four reasons for a pre-tribulation rapture four reasons for a pre-tribulation rapture now again folks go study this on your own uh again i'm going to give you even the skinny of it right here on this part uh there are arguments against it as well as there are arguments for and against the other views from scripture that's why i kept telling you that i'm a pan tribulation guy it's all going to pan out the way god wants to pan out number one why do we believe in a pre or why should i believe in a pre-tribulation rapture where the church is raptured before the tribulation begins and we miss all of the wrath that is going to be poured out first of all the place of the church in the book of revelation so if you have your bibles you can turn chapter 1 2 3 4 or whatever you'll find that in the book of revelation that the word church in the greek language the bible was written in coin in greek and is ecclesia you may have recognized that term ecclesia is used 20 times in the book of revelation but 19 of those times are used in chapters one through three when chapter four comes you don't read the church anymore at least ecclesia is not found anywhere uh until you get to chapter 21 when it talks about testify to the church is about what i've given to you so some say well you know with with that being strangely absent you know that seems like the church is not on the earth during the tribulation period remember revelation chapter 4 verse 1 john who was getting this revelation about uh well the revelation he was getting it and he was giving these messages to the churches in chapters two and three and so he was giving them but then in chapter four verse one there's an open door in heaven and and john was caught up there again there's that word he's caught up to heaven and then john views the tribulation period from heaven looking down on the earth well again we understand that we see then pictures of what uh most likely is the church uh they're in heaven during the tribulation period where you see that well bible talks about there were 24 elders uh there in heaven so who are these people they're not angels uh you know who are these 24 elders and the greek is the word presbuteros and one little church of god girl went to visit uh church with her presbyterian girl and uh her girlfriend and i went to the hear them talk about the elders in heaven and there was 24 and they were using the word presbyteros but it sounded like presbyterian so when she got home her mom asked what she learned she said well i learned there's only 24 presbyterians going to heaven not true not true not true anyway 24 elders are there now why is that significant well first of all all of the priests that david put together for the tabernacle his tabernacle and the praise and worship and all the priests they did there was 24 orders of those priesthood 24 orders and when the representatives from those 24 orders came together they had 24 and they were to symbolize all the priesthood well the bible talks about us all from from exodus 19 6 to revelation 1 5 that we in six we are to be a priest unto god right so this seems like represent god's people the priesthood of all believers then we understand it could be an analogy of the 12 tribes of israel and the 12 apostles that we see later uh that they're going to be in the foundations of the new heaven right so we say well they also have crowns on their head never do you see angels with crowns on their head and these crowns are in the greek they're stephanos which is the victor's crown not the diadem that jesus wears in revelation chapter 19 when it comes back as the king but they are the stephanos they are the victor's crown so we know it couldn't be for the angels because angels will wear crowns so it must be for the church who has overcome because in chapters two and three he keeps talking about those that overcome i'm gonna give you know this this that and the other and they're going to reign with me well if you reign with christ you have a crown on your head as a symbol of that in the book of revelation so it appears to be that there is the church in heaven well if the church is in heaven pastor then why do we read about the saints that die on the earth you know why is the bible talk about saints in the book of revelation chapter 4 through 18. glad you asked that question too i was just thinking about that over coffee this morning here's what i came up with that we look at the saints who are those saints in in revelation chapter four through verse through chapter 18. those saints obviously are people who got saved or were left behind or sometimes the bible talks about the elect and jesus talking through the signs of time so the elect would be particularly jewish people who give their heart to christ right and so the elect go through of course the jewish nation by and large is going through uh that don't accept yeshua hamashiach but yet we see the elect referring to the jews that give their heart to christ and we see the saints which refer to people who get saved during the tribulation period and yes some of them are martyred some of them now let's face it guys i mean i don't know if you ever remember seeing the left behind movies or you know man i tell you to scare the living daylights out of you right where you know you're you're you're you wake up your spouse is gone or your kids are gone and you're left behind and and it's the whole world is different well you know you think about people who know about god who know about the gospel who know about end times and yet they never gave their heart to christ and the rapture takes place well i think churches are going to be packed like they've never been packed before people are going to be looking for salvation somebody to help them get saved because they understand that this is going to be heaven or hell now because they're in the tribulation period if they don't give their life to christ they're lost for eternity so yes i believe there's a lot of people going to get saved there are saints that are there over and over in the the record from chapter 4 to chapter 18. now let's go on to number two number two and i'm going to i've got a haste in here deliverance from divine wrath so the big case made by everybody who believes from pre-trib to post-trib everybody always says the bible says that we are delivered from god's wrath we are not under his wrath because of the blood of jesus christ we are under his blessing right jesus took away the curse from us we're not under the curse praise god we're under the blessing of god right blessings of abraham have come down to us right all those things are true for us we are not under the curse or the judgment of god we have confidence on the day of judgment john says because of the blood of christ that god has cleansed us so we can have confidence to go before the day of judgment all that's true so when we look at deliverance from wrath we have to go to things like first thessalonians chapter 1 verse 9 and 10. that we again this is in thessalonians where we took our text he talks about that we are going to be rescued from the wrath to come we are going to be rescued from the wrath to come or what wrath is he talking about well must be talking about the wrath that's going to be poured out in the tribulation period then we go on to second thessalonians chapter 2 and verses 1 2 through 3. he talks about i'm writing to you so that you don't be so easily shaken by these false teachers that were going around there telling that they the day of the lord already went came and gone and they missed it and they're in bad trouble he said i'm writing that you don't be so easily shaken and then he goes on in chapter 5 and verse 3 to talk about the reason i'm writing this to you is that you are not destined for the wrath of god you god did not pre-plan to pour out his wrath on his people somebody thank you jesus right so you are not destined for that he says that in chapter five verse three in the of chapter five in verse three in the middle well chapter five verse nine sorry in the middle of saying in the same chapter talking about the day of the lord talking about that that day of judgment is not reserved for you in verse 3. he is describing the wrath was not destined for god's people and the wrath of god was not something that god was going to let happen he was going to rescue them from it you read revelation 3 and 10. he's talking about church in philadelphia that because you've been faithful to the word of my my patience that that i will be faithful to rescue you in the time of temptation and trouble that is coming upon the whole world well again the whole world that's that has to be a tribulation right it's a one reference not the strongest one but it's one reference to again god has not destined us he's going to rescue us from divine wrath the whole history of the bible from noah and the ark to to ezekiel 14 to god saying that you know the righteousness of moses and daniel and no and job saved them from from destruction or wrath he's talking about personal righteousness saves godly people out of a time of of mass judgment and destruction you know israel and egypt and goshen that doesn't doesn't doesn't the plague doesn't come the goshen there's there's so many things that we could say to make a case for god delivering us uh that we're not under his wrath and so we have to understand that this is the biggest argument it's just when do people think that that escape or that deliverance is going to happen number three the time gap between the rapture and the second coming the time gap is basically one that you look at the bema the second corinthians chapter five the bema the judgment seat of christ that you don't read of that anywhere in the book of revelation what you find at the end of revelation is a white throne judgment which is for non-believers so many think that during the seven years the church is in the in heaven during the during the tribulation period they are coming before the judgment seat of christ and revelation 19 7 it says that when he comes back the bride has made herself ready well what does that mean you know it goes back to the jewish wedding ceremony and and all that goes on there that again the bride is making herself ready during those seven years to do what to come back with the lord see first thessalonians 4 is the lord coming for the church revelation 19 is the lord coming with the church coming back to again win that battle of armageddon so we look at these things to testify and finally the removal of the restrainer if you understand second timothy chapter two and verse three and following you'll find that there he says that he that restrains will restrain until he is taken out of the way and then the man of lawlessness shall be revealed and it's actually using two different two different um tenses for the restrainer it uses a neuter and then it uses a masculine tense the masculine tense is who obviously it's only god that can restrain the evil it's only god that can restrain the antichrist so it has to be the holy spirit or you could say jesus but the holy spirit this is the jesus sent the holy spirit into the world for this age right so it's the holy spirit then the what that restraints has to be the church and when the church is taken away then that restraining force that keeps evil at bay is going to be removed so that the person of lawlessness can be revealed and have free reign you think about the church of jesus christ being taken out of all the world what's left folks you you're left with people who who maybe don't even even honor god whatsoever you're left with people who are going to be just easily led by an antichrist who seemingly has a peace solution for the middle east and who has a global economy solution to help everybody's pocketbook out all you have to do is take this mark of the beast and you're going to be fine well that's the kind of setup that's coming by the devil the devil wants to set you up set up this world to again lead them and deceive them to where they come down to destruction but destruction is not in my dna destruction is not in your dna it is not in your destiny it is not in the will and the destiny of the lord for you that's why the lord is going to come down with a shout hey it's time to get out of here right it's time to come up and to prepare yourself it's time to come to the bema the judgment seat of christ and receive your rewards right and so that's where we're coming as pastor james comes i'm going to end with this six books in heaven six books in heaven basically come down to say this and that is that there is going to be a remembrance god is marking everything down he's got a library in heaven here's the books in his library you know these are anthropomorphisms right there's basically human analogies that let us understand that god keeps the record what has he got he's got a book of life seven times in revelation is the book of life mentioned right that is that your name has to be in the book of life in order to enjoy the the things of god for eternity and how do you get your name in the book of life right you get your name in the book of life by by confessing your sins are you in repenting asking christ come in your life and uh so then the book of tears psalm 56 8 the book of tears where god records your tears that you pray in righteous ways god records your tears of sorrow he records all the tears of sadness why because he's going to wipe away all the tears from your eyes there's going to be a reckoning day there's going to be a justice day there's going to be a time when he makes all the wrongs right and gives you and me a reward for any unjust suffering you may not feel like you've been gipped so far but let me tell you there's coming a day of reckoning people aren't going to get away with their sin let me tell you god is going to make things right one day that may be one of the greatest joys of all book of works that is that the books were open in the book of everything that you've done on this earth and also the beam of records that the works the books are open the work the works that you've done are going to be rewarded on the in heaven then the book of destiny psalm 139 16. that before you were created there was a book and all the things that you were supposed to do were written in it that's the book of your destiny things that you were ordained to do before the foundation of the world hallelujah thank you god there's purpose in my life well not just another brick in the wall that was pink floyd i think pastor james did you listen to pink floyd didn't you pastor james just kidding that was a total joke sorry for the reference the book of seven seals this is revelation chapter five where who's worthy to take the book jesus is worthy to unveil a new brand new future to redeem our life in the book of remembrance malachi chapter 3 verse 16 15 16. the book of remembrance is a book where the lord says you know i am going to i have i put you written you in the book of remembrance that i'm going to remember you like a son or a daughter i am going to come down and deliver you now this is the last book before there was 400 years of silence [Music] i mean it's hard enough if you have a prayer moment with the lord and devotions and you don't feel like you can hear from him that day 400 years but he said i have a book of remembrance and you're in it and i'm going to i'm going to remember you and i'm going to deliver you like a child i'm your father you're my child you're my son my daughter i am going to remember you and i'm going to deliver you now again when you look at those prophets prophesying in times of bondage in times of incarceration in times of deprivation anybody been through some pain in life yet come on somebody i mean i'm not just talking about not having enough toilet paper doing a corona virus i still have i still have chinese toilet paper i can't give away so if you want some chinese toilet paper i got some my wife won't let it in the house when you look at the fact that no matter what trouble corona has seemingly brought to our lives and there's been some real loss some death some devastation some career changes some real problems some real hard things god wants you to know that he remembers you he remembers me he remembers his covenant to us see all the things done for israel are going to be because of the covenant that he had with abraham and then with david and the covenant was a unilateral covenant what does that mean it means that god in exodus excuse me genesis 15 cut the covenant he did everything provided the sacrifice cut it up he did everything walk he walked through for abraham he did everything for the covenant which means he cannot break it if it was a bilateral covenant then because israel sinned so many times god would say i'm not obligated you blew it i had a covenant but you you keep your end of the bargain guess what happened to salvation jesus christ did everything for you he he did everything he he was he was wounded for your transgressions he was bruised for my iniquities the chastisement of our peace is upon him by his stripes we are healed he did every single thing in a unilateral covenant it wasn't conditioned on whether i'm faithful or not it was conditioned on his faithfulness his condition on what he did and because he did it praise be to god i can guarantee he's going to remember the righteous hallelujah so it comes down to this beloved it comes down to this living with hope in the last days because we are living in the last days for the church and i believe that the rapture of the church could happen at any time and there's lots of things that we could say well there's this and this and this that's why i said it'll all pan out the way the lord wants it to pan out but that urgency does two things one first john three it keeps me pure he that has his hope of seeing him purifies himself number two it keeps me motivated to be a witness to somebody else who may be on their way to a devil's hell that was never made for them god made hell for the devil and his angels not for us if you go there you go there as an intruder you're never never meant for hell nobody was [Music] but what are we doing to share christ somebody else what are we doing to live pure ourselves what are we doing to keep ourselves out of apostasy and the last thing is that god said i want you to tell them that i am still a deliverer that whole thing about delivered from the wrath to come is not just about the tribulation period it's about delivering us colossians chapter 2 and verse 14 that he is or colossians chapter 1 actually when he talks about in verse 15 he has delivered us from the power of satan and the power of darkness to the power of god god tell you that his deliverance started when he saved you can i tell you that his deliverance has not stopped can i tell you today that paul said in second corinthians chapter 1 and verse 8 through 10 that he said i want to tell you that i despaired of my life i didn't think i would make it through the trial i was going through there were times that i didn't think i'd live come on somebody some of you been through coronavirus some of you've been through loss of loved ones some of you've been through uh devastation of your finances some of you've been through some terrible things here and there whatever and you know you may have been in despair come on somebody quit buffing your halo we may have been in despair but why are you still here [Music] you're here because what paul said but all this just helped me all the more to trust the god who raises the dead and this is where he says it because he has delivered me [Music] he is delivering me now and he will always deliver me past present and future oh yeah we're talking about the rapture delivering from that but friend hey who knows when the rapture is going to happen i want to tell you right now i need this deliverance amen right now i need god to deliver me how about you right now i need every day to know that he is my deliverer and that's what paul said he said i went through some rough things and oh god i pray we come out of coronavirus not bitter at god not bitter at life not bitter at the the politics not bitter at this i pray we come out better in faith i pray we come out saying you know what all this may have happened but it taught me something i can't trust politics i can't trust the cdc i can't trust this that or the other but what i can trust is the god who raises the dead what i can trust is that god delivered me before god's delivered me now through this and god will always deliver me no matter what happens in the future in the last days god is always going to be my deliverer devil get behind me get under my feet i am living with hope in the last days i am living with praise in the last days i am living with joy in the last days because my bride's room is coming again he's coming again he's coming again praise him in the house oh come on and praise it everybody let's stand together prayer workers come if you would you say pastor you're trying to hype us up no i'm just genuinely on fire [Music] i'm just sick and tired christians trying to feel like they're the tail and not the head because of coronavirus i lost good friends just like you did i lost a parent some of you lost a spouse [Music] let me tell overcome those that are overcome by tribulation and those that overcome it by their faith in god you are an overcomer you bow your head with me please you know i just feel like there's a call for going on but the devil's working overtime i know that i want to tell you god loves you too much to let you go to hell he loved you too much to see your marriage go to hell he loves you too much to see your health go to hell he loved you too much he said no i remember you and i'm going to deliver you like a son or a daughter i remember you son or daughter i remember you i am with you i haven't left people who shrink back in our faith because god has no pleasure in those that shrink back but we are the people who have confidence in our god we and the people are persuaded that what he has promised of god but he's a deliverer all right i'm going to ask you if you need a deliverance from god oh well that sounds like i got a demon i'm not saying you have a demon i'm saying paul who didn't have a plant the new seat of faith we can proclaim that god is our deliverer he has and he is and he will deliver me and i will see healing i will see deliverance i will see emotional joy i will see the recovery of whatever wound the enemy is trying to inflict i am delivered by the most high god i am set free by jesus christ i will always be remembered by him as a son or daughter and he will always
