Here is one user's input and he wrote:
"It's harmonically complex to pick apart with my ears. I'd like to know if this is correct:"
D F A
C F A
D F A
C F A (I can't tell if this is a different chord or timbre. I think the hit is just being held longer.)
D F A
A D F

"This is complex to pick apart with a spectrograph since there's a hit layered in and the tuned notes are lower in volume."
He continues:
"I wrote it initially as each chord in 1/4ish notes because the effect is based on an LFO rather than multiple instances of each chord. The patch is harmonically complex so I was also having trouble picking out the base notes vs harmonic content. Play as a straight saw wave the chords are actually rather disappointing and boring. I wrote it the letters are first, middle, high note of each chord. The x's are beats where no chord plays. The notes I picked do match the spectrogram* best I can tell but the long hit note played on beat five really confuses me."

He also said:
"Funny enough I'm not confident in the note but I know exactly what patch/sample they used: http://synthmania.com/Roland%20JV-2080/Audio/PR-B/074%20Tekno%20Hit%202.mp3"
What does he mean by patch/sample? I know that sampling is when an artist takes a piece of a song and plays it on a loop, usually for the background beat or for the main melody. But is he right?
I would appreciate any help with this, thanks for reading.
