from Heroes reforge we are reacting to the fifth episode of The Last of Us very very exciting first four episodes as you can see we are properly returned to our little boxes I think we should tell all you for getting us past 100K but it's been uh it's been crazy because we got to see uh the first few episodes a little bit early so we we knocked them all out as soon as we could see over the weeks and I've been re-watching each episode as as it's you know you don't know how many times I cried for the last one I lost it's episode three so four had amazing moments like it is a it is just a top-notch show and it's been so cool to see everybody get into it and again to recap we have never played the video game so the three of us have no idea what the hell's gonna happen in this story we're kind of coming to it from a very unique and different perspective compared to a lot of other people and it has been incredibly engaging and immersive so of course we've been watching it there's been a lot of great fans to come around and really encourage us to keep watching this yeah but also a lot of people who um are following because they want to see this play the game eventually so actor who was in the video game he played Tommy Joel's brother in the game yeah yeah did it feel good watching us get thrown in prison so that you could [ __ ] apples she's not having it well I'm not fedra lucky for you no one here has to die yeah we could put you on track where is Henry your informers inform is Henry her X and Sam is her child I guess they don't know I don't know no matter no idea oh boy he's with him oh oh oh Edelstein was a collaborator well he was a lot more discreet than you [ __ ] idiots you're gonna die anyway he had a place to hold up in the open City in case things went bad but things have gone great haven't you heard Kansas City is free we already got a perimeter around the city we can wait him out door to door take a lot of men and there are other things he's not my seventh priority Perry is that what he is to you no Melanie Linsky this actor she's great Roman is insane oh my gosh we are not really putting them on trial when you're done burn the bodies it's faster of course ah I'm shocked I'm so shocked so shocked all right oh is it the doctor yeah yeah okay and this is where they are so this is where Sam's gonna do a little superhero drawings and little drawings so we'll sneak our way on oh tunnels tunnels I told you 20 counts and six pounds of jerky for the three of us we stick to the minimum I think we can make it 11 days so that's how long you have to figure it out better than nothing nothing I can do about that now he's scared because you're scared yeah duh Doc it's a scary situation yeah why wouldn't you we got mushroom zombies running around of course it's scary Super Sam oh man I think they're brothers and I think he's putting melons cool those aren't zombies those are like folks in suits or something yeah government yeah yeah and bandits or whatever yeah oh they're going door to door um or they've been there for a minute yeah he said they had just enough for 11 days it said day 10 yeah 10 days later oh okay oh I didn't see that I didn't see that either we got you got special subtitles on or something what would I missed I just can't read oh they got the dock they need to move yeah the doctor's been shot this is this is probably after he's already been shot and everything yep yeah they're about to meet Julius this is Kelly yup this is happening concurrently with the last episode yeah I know yeah that's the only way you're gonna get out of there that's seriously if you study what the hell they're doing unfortunately yes probably yes no oh my gosh don't make me cry already 12 minutes into this episode Lord [Music] Shake It Off shake off those emotions I just know when I watch this episode a second time I will cry at that part it's a thing where when you even when you anticipate the emotional moment yeah he's not even seeing the moment where you just go oh no that moment's coming [Music] that's where okay at the end of the last episode we saw Sam had this orange war paint but it's a superhero mask oh my gosh Super Sam let's go oh I know man I'm like lordy man oh God find a happy place [Laughter] like over the weekend I just saw a buddy of ours and he had a kid and the kid was telling me about a superhero and I'm like oh my God the emotion oh did Ellie and Joel just crash it might be that it might have actually the laundromat yeah so maybe this might be Henry and Sam observing Joel and Ellie this one yeah see them fighting back and he's gonna probably come to assumption that they might be allies that could help him get out of there if they'll need to work together this also makes me want to play the video game this section to see it's a close one that guy can roll with that guy he's like all right so man the Mandalorian just showed up killed all these guys we gotta team up with him he's got the [ __ ] in the inside of the laundry mat that we'll be able to get out get the hell out of here to the United States of space oh damn hey we are catching okay we're catching crunch but now do you remember the detail about like Joel said he couldn't hear his writing a well out of one ear at the end of last episode when he woke up he was sleeping on the ear that he couldn't hear out of so that's probably why he didn't hear this glass just now and Ellie's just knocked out because Ellie's a kid like kids sleep through everything eyes on me eyes on me you don't have to worry about what to say we don't want to hurt you okay so we're [ __ ] tone man everything is great dude okay listen Joel's like I can take you in warm or I can take you in cold but if either of you guys try anything and maybe Joel's thinking too he's like this guy has a kid too like yeah yeah gonna sit up you can sit up slow get up slow so weird situation to be you can't trust anybody in this world dude yeah my name's Henry It's My Brother Sam my own brother and Most Wanted Man in Kansas City although right now I just want to get out I guess these are running a close second sweet what are they wanted for did I bet well great question maybe Sam is that ass yeah it can't just be that Sam is like Kathleen's kid that can't be it how old is he he's like cool I'm Ellie [Laughter] [Music] what's your name kill each other let's call this a win-win and Mom y'all came up here to get a view of the city and plan a way out Henry smart Henry smart welcome to killer City kill a city might be torture to murder people for 20 years hey you know what happens when you do that to people when they get a chance they do it right back yeah but you're not fedra oh that'll work with rats yeah you there's an embankment on the other side of the houses we head down pedestrian bridge over the river [Applause] yeah but where do you go after that where do you go after that I mean other than the stranger you've already seen no infected oh there's infected just not on the surface oh no no no so you want us going into a tunnel everyone thinks that it's full of infected including Kathleen which means that we're not going to be running into any of our people we see what I know is it's empty you've been down there no no but the federal guy that I worked with told me that it's clean it's a risky business it's Risky Business when like three years ago hell no no hell no if it gets bad down there you turn around it's gonna run right back all the same movie well that's your great plan no that's my dicey as [ __ ] plan that is dicey as [ __ ] it's only shot Lord oh no you wanna know they're going to help us Escape yeah so now you have to do this because Sam's like cool uh I mean they think they like Joel and Ellie need a way out too yeah yeah they're screwed too you know what are they gonna do just hang out there and maybe figure something out walk through the streets of Kansas City bro I played the video game you'll get sniped I get killed all the time trying to do that I think it's his way you think foreign I still can't believe they lost that truck with all that gear and now I know right you ready you better do that cracked open can you open it now it was like the mistake was Joe was like screw it let's go through Kansas City no dude you should have doubled back yeah hit up on some Road Country Bumpkin road to get back to the highway and then keep going like avoid the cities see it's empty crosswords we've been down here two seconds we don't know anything ready to run this is intense dude oh my God there's a lot of hiding places there you guys got a tread oh my goodness I'm feeling this in my what somebody tag me on Twitter with like Tiddly bits or whatever Tiddly midlits what was it something like that yeah not in a good way this is don't let the little kid go last come on yeah why'd you keep them sandwiched right in the middle the adults should be on the outside yeah because yeah you're right you're right there's paintings there there's children's paintings there what is this oh good that could be good because it could mean safety dude [Music] um I love how the show is just constantly reminding you of like kids and how they're having to deal with this yeah it's the loudest damn door just everybody just squeezing close the door behind you please oh my God that's a whole classroom somebody was raising a children's Stone here yep people went underground after outbreak day build settlements what happened to them maybe they didn't follow the rules and they all got infected I know they ran out of food I don't think there were signs of struggle in there hey no way I love these like did they not close the door fully indoor and survive endure survive [ __ ] yeah man there's like actually [ __ ] to do here wouldn't be so bad to wait light out a bit different shadows when we pop back out on the other side close the door close that door All Things Considered seems kind of cruel to send a whole Army after you for that you know I wasn't uh exactly what did Henry do oh God what about me not killing someone it was a man great man uh this is what they're after him for free I have a selfish Kathleen's husband there was one drug that worked and well big shock there wasn't much left of it and it belonged to fedra and if I wanted some just kidding so he had to kill the leader of the of the resistance to get medicine for his leukemia sick brother the leader of the resistance movement in Kansas City okay okay bro that's what it is all right I am the bad guy because I did a bad guy thing but you get it though you might not be her father I could tell him waited long enough I don't want to talk about my feelings let's go yeah I'm so nervous about what's gonna happen to these kids me too me too who told you I was here your mom why are you talking to my family affair what is this he says as long as we were together never perfect we would be safe I want to point out this actress is New Zealander so her American accent is pretty Flawless dude she's phenomenal and if you've come to tell me that Michael wouldn't want me to hurt Henry he would want me to forgive I know that I don't care the last time I saw him alive jail he told me to forgive and what did he get your brother was a great man we all loved him he didn't change anything oh you better watch your tongue homie you did [Music] um we're with you you know ten days ago they took back Kansas City killed fedra or whatever good Kathleen is pretty cath mean turns out we're about to see some zombies dude Bank of America go down the street embankment behind the last house and we're out oh no God no so we crossed the river and then what where are you gonna go I don't know yet well we're going to Wyoming oh God how are you gonna make it to Wyoming and I'm like I'm gonna ask you a million more times you guys are way too cheap you guys are way too chill bro oh oh [ __ ] you got Crosshair up in the tower just you trust me oh God I would never have been walking in the middle of this open Street dude for real as soon as I think I'm like yeah I'm not good I'm not good Bridge out of Kansas City knock knock anybody home buying in the head Mr snipers it's gonna be like like an old lady my God how are you doing oh boy blue it's my boy blue please don't do it please choose life homie um yeah I'm gonna flip it yep he killed this old man yep killer be killed that's the unfortunate truth he had no more rounds in there either and Joel didn't want to do it oh no that's Kathleen oh [ __ ] Anthony here uh Hey Escape they got away [Music] run go go come on go oh God clear them what do they have oh a big old heavy truck yeah oh yeah holy [ __ ] yup that's what that truck is for oh there's still rounds in it okay no Ellie don't always don't waste bullets on Jewel oh my God get out oh my God get out of the road running in the road oh [ __ ] yeah go go go go go go go a bunch of zombies about to show up oh no okay dang L.A get up and run girl get up and run okay right there one shot take her out he's out of bullets dead end Henry you want to step on now save us some time oh dear Lord you don't know that's all right doesn't matter this character like Jeffrey Dean Morgan and [ __ ] Walking Dead I know why you did what you did you ever stop to think that maybe excuse you excuse you you well kids die Henry they die all the time you think you think I'll sniper will knock her out bro take her out is what happens when you [ __ ] with fate get ready to take him and run yes Henry's about to die oh man it ends the way it ends it's Andy's zombie time is that a sinkhole what the hell is that a giant sinkhole shoot him shoot him shoot him remember that thing episode Perry found underground this pulsating thing yeah this is right the infected were under the city dude so that yes they were down there oh no no no no run away run away oh my God there's so many yeah run oh Joe's got him oh my God I feel like this is gonna be the hardest level in the game trying to snipe guys that's having a real son of a [ __ ] let me tell you [Music] what are we about to see what the [ __ ] oh Lord all right what it is oh that's a big boy the cave troll uncover don't look back oh Perry's gonna die nope oh my god oh yeah all right child oh [Applause] [Music] my God all right I think I don't want to have kids let me tell you oh he's clearing away from like from like blood loss and like yeah there you go what they're still coming out of the ground that was crazy dude uncut wow [Music] good Lord okay but did one of them get bit by any of the same God maybe Henry did it's easier when you're a kid anyway you don't have anybody else relying on you that's the hard part truth brother look I don't know exactly how I'm getting to Wyoming I'm probably walking you know if you want to eat yeah should we knock something is not right yeah homeboys bit you think you think Henry I I I yeah those infected really got it Henry like they were getting at him under the car dragging them out and stuff section one five three Stella can you hear me I reach you okay with me oh this is going to be heartbreaking whatever Sam's writing oh are you ever scared do I not look scared oh that would be pretty terrifying in that kind of a world oh that's so sad no no no are you kidding me I would medicine can we save them I don't think it works like that yeah I'm not sure that that's how it works I mean she's already I don't know maybe maybe maybe she does have oh this is so sad are you kidding me maybe I don't know I don't know if she's doing this as a way to like make him feel better or if like she really thinks it's actually going to help him oh no that's heartbreaking dude oh oh my God oh my God damn it does he doesn't want to go to sleep he doesn't want to go to sleep because he's afraid he's gonna die and turn into a monster and as it takes from the foot to the head is going to be maybe 24 hours yeah I think so oh God oh [Music] boy oh boy dude dude dude help Ellie dude oh my God Henry are you okay he's gonna now shoot her because he's like she's bit what what did I do oh they just keep cutting back for the blood spilling out he's gonna kill himself oh Jesus after all that that's exactly the point of this Bleak Bleak Bleak Bleak Bleak thing you know after all of that I don't want to play the game I don't want to play the [ __ ] game dude all day long which way is west oh wow it wasn't Ellie's fault though no it wasn't her fault let's go called a bloated so now that's a big boy that's what that is that's supposed to be a that's supposed to be an infected that's like been around survived for for 20 years like that's what happens to an um it continues to um be surprising it continues to be heartbreaking it continues to want to take our emotions put them in a blender and then feed them through us through through the tiniest straw while they're punching Us in the mouth and breaking our teeth so it's great it hurts my soul so bad it's it's hard to describe because I don't know if I hope I'm never in a situation where I have to kind of make that decision that this the circumstances seems so extreme but also so relatable that that like what would you do in this situation how what kind of what kind of person would you be like would you be with Kathleen's Army would you be with fedra would you be with Henry like would you be with Joel what kind of person would you be and I think that's kind of like what these episodes are making me think of at least like yeah totally how would I try or how would I try to behave myself in these type of situations do morals even matter right does a moral compass even matter at this point like is it all about survival do you try to keep human your Humanity do you try to keep the things that like make you fun and make you a person and make you who you think you are or are you a completely different person when it's a fan yeah because the circumstances of your situation completely reshape who you are absolutely that's just that's just the truth I mean of course covet is a very different thing but I mean look what people were doing when covet did happen they took advantage of the situation by buying up all the necessary supplies that people needed to survive and they always present that scenario right you're a loved one and then Sean out of the dead has to kill his own mom like he's gonna you know you have to be the one to do it to take out your loved one because you couldn't see somebody else doing it but even with that scenario I'm like dude I cannot picture myself like shooting my zombie mom even if she's zombie and if you're logically that's the whole point of that of that um Fantastical scenarios to make you feel like could you logically do it or will your emotions and I'm like I think my emotions would let me because I always think about the ending to the movie The Mist have you guys seen The Mist Frank anything to that movie is brutal because like they are isolated and Thomas Jane I'm gonna spoil right now because it is one of the all-time yeah I love it and I don't and I normally don't like things being Bleak for bleak's sake but he shoots his son and he's about to shoot himself because they're like in a car surrounded by the Mist by the fog like they're gonna get killed and he's just like just devastated after shooting his own son to spare him at more grisly fate and then just moments before he's able to shoot himself the Mist clears the US Army comes in and they go what happened what are you doing and you're just like oh my God if you'd waited minutes his son would be alive so I think about could could if I were Henry could I have shot Sam and I'm like no because maybe there's a cure for this infected disease that's right around the corner but people don't know because there's no communication Communications are down maybe go maybe go to Wyoming maybe take La maybe come back you know lock Sam somewhere it's a stupid thing but I don't know if I could do what some of these characters do if that's the point of watching a show like this is to make you think that kind of that is the point to make you think about it and I think it's very different when like I mean watching the show is one thing but living through that and this will only give us giving us a slight glimpse of what living through something like that would be yeah it's like one percent of the emotion that you would actually feel if you were in that kind of a kind of a situation man I just I can't imagine like it's so inconceivable to me to be able to make those decisions but sometimes people have to make those kinds of decisions in the midst doesn't he isn't it not just the sun isn't also like his his wife and like in-laws or something his wife I think it's like yeah yeah so like those types of situations I'm like I don't know if I'm good I don't know I don't know but yeah then there's that situation of like literally it like yeah all these people come through and you're like what what's going on I I don't know yeah and especially it's such a tough it's it's never easy like it's it's never easy when it's adults but it's especially not easy when it's kids like the minute you involve kids it's it's one thing when you see like a fully transformed you know infected who's like going out to Ellie in the car then you're it's you're a little bit more disconnected from it but when you see a little kid um it's different it hurts different they're so young and full of life and hopes and dreams and yeah even in a bleak world like that like they kids kids still have this like sense of optimism that I think a lot of adults now that they lose it but because of their life experience they look at they obviously look at things just differently I mean just just look at Ellie at the end of this episode she was you know buried this kid that she got attached to and she's like it was transformed her a little bit it changed her where do we go next that's it yeah dropped him here yeah this first season they've said that this is gonna pretty much like encapsulate the first game so I don't know like I we obviously don't know what that means but I'm sure for people who know the game you know there's a lot of things that they're sort of like still waiting to see happen or expecting to see happen so like they're like if you thought episode three was devastating get ready get ready I'm like what the hell oh my God I don't even know we can call this the halfway mark pretty much we're like a little bit more than halfway yeah but so far it's been it's it's been it's been excellent I I think I don't think any of us have not enjoyed the show it's a little bit of a different experience like not us not being in the room together but I feel kind of nice that I can just shut up shut off my computer then go cry in my
