tension thanks to surface tension water can form drops it also helps us blow soap bubbles because when we add soap into the water the film gets even stronger but still not strong enough to stop the nothing he's solving a Rubik's Cube no like who's the Rubik's Cube is the most popular puzzle game in the whole world it was invented by Professor Rubicon Hungary the cube has six sides on it and on a rubik's cube each of these sides has nine squares that are all the same color you start by mixing up the colors to solve a Rubik's Cube you have to turn the pieces and you keep turning and turning them until each side is one solid color again for instance red or yellow or light blue hey Tom Thomas how long you been messing around this Cube already it's been three whole days of turning three whole days we could solve that puzzle five minutes now couldn't we simcha oh really then go right ahead I'm off to school well you're ready to show Tom Thomas who's boss I've just count me out hey I put together a picture out of many little pieces for this you need to not only pay attention but be patient and there are all sorts of puzzles for the computer one popular computer puzzle is Tetris in Tetris different shapes fall down on the screen and you have to think quickly to get them to line up into rows and solving puzzles isn't only a great activity for people it's good for fixies too used the amount of wasted electricity would equal the amount of energy produced by a hundred power plants and each of these power plants needs freight cars of coal or rivers of oil to keep running and all that fuel has to be extracted and burned constantly how do you see how expensive burning a lightbulb is for the earth so don't forget to turn off electrical appliances when you're not using them important not to let the wires touch one another or the electricity can burn them out that's why wires are covered in plastic or rubber so the electricity won't pass from one wire to the other or to us when we touch them so always be very careful with wires and never ever touch a bare wire you could get killed by the electric shock Oh what would I do without my wonderful friends thank you ah you won't trick the thermometer sinka what's a mercury thermometer mercury is a type of liquid metal that silver in color there's no mercury inside of new thermometers now they're electronic old thermometers were made with a glass tube with markings and a bit of mercury inside them when the end of the tube warms up the mercury inside of it expands and creeps up the tube and that's how those old thermometers measure temperature the longer the column of mercury the higher the person's temperature is that means I need to warm up the end of the thermometer Thomas but how will you warm it up finally I found this well let's see can I eat something hang in there sweetie I'll make you something hot no there's just no way it will have temperature hey what are you doing in here well how high did you get it 108 is what it's showing Oh No but the temperature that high will send you straight to the hospital and you don't need that you'd better shake that thermometer yeah that's what I'll do dealing with pests and all of these substances can be very harmful to human health but some people don't seem to understand this they might use a dangerous spray or a poisonous liquid and then forget to wash their hands afterward and then they go and eat or rub their eyes with their hands that can cause serious damage to their vision or stomachs and never put anything into your mouth that looks like medicine unless your parents are a doctor gave it to you and if you ever happen to find something on the ground that looks like a piece of candy you must never put it in your mouth you can get poisoned that way Oh humans if they'd only remember this simple advice they'd stay safer and what do we do with the glass that's broken that job's not for fixies hmm Tom Thomas we cleaned up all the can burn them out that's why wires are covered in plastic or rubber so the electricity won't pass from one wire to the other or to us when we touch them so always be very careful with wires and never
