Teacher Planner 2017-2018 The Lettered Classroom

hey guys and welcome back to my channel so for those of you who are new my name is Bridget Backman I am a fourth grade teacher in Pennsylvania and I thought kindergarten for four years in Alabama and in this video I am so excited to be able to share my 2017-2018 teacher planner with all of you so I'm going to be showing you everything from downloading the file to all of the things that you're going to receive in the files to editing it by adding some of your text inside of it printing binding and even doing a little bit of a walkthrough so I know that I'm a little bit of long-winded and I have a tendency to talk a lot so I'm promise this is going to be short but I did want to make sure that I've pointed out two different things so down below in the description box I am going to leave all of the affiliate links to everything that I talked about in this video please feel free to go out and compare prices but also know that if you are using those affiliate links that it does help to store and redownload it to receive the latest version so I had a couple of things that I need to fix so make sure that you go and do that alright guys so we're going to go ahead and jump on in I hope you enjoyed this setup of my 2017-2018 teacher planner okay guys so when you first download the file to the teacher planner 2017-2018 you're going to receive it in a zip file just like this and all it has is when you double click it you will be able to get a new folder so I will double click on the actual zip file itself it's going to expand it and then typically right underneath it you're going to see now it's in a folder and this is the folder that you will want to keep you do not have to keep this zip file at all so now it's actually saved in your on your desktop on your computer in a file format that you would have for any other document so you double click on it and inside you're going to see multiple different files so let's kind of walk through some of these files and talk about what they are the very first file that you're going to see here is the 2017-2018 planar PDF so it has the actual cover that you would see whenever you purchase planner and then it just kind of goes and to make this a little bit we've got really big okay and then it just has some quick instructions here so it talks about being able to double click and add your own text and your being able to delete and move pages in this and I'm going to show you guys how to do all of that so it doesn't really have anything those are the only two pages in there so it's not something that you absolutely have to keep so I'm just going to go ahead and close that the next thing that you're going to see are the editable teacher planner covers now with this planner when you purchase it you are going to get free updates for the covers so as the school year for 2017 and 2018 continues I will be updating some of these planners planner covers I really really like being able to change out my covers I like to be very seasonal with my covers so I'm going to be adding some holiday covers some other seasonal covers and in here you're going to see that there's already a couple of different versions that you can choose from I really like this like leafy version that that we have going on right now it's probably my absolute favorite at the moment so I put them in a couple of different formats I really like this rectangle with the the line that kind of splits it I feel it looks really nice and clean and classic I try not to add a ton of things in on the covers just because I want it to be very very clean and very neat I don't like a lot of clutter if you noticed from looking at my planner so let's talk about editing it for editing you will need to make sure that you download and be font that I have here so if you look at the actual file when you open up your file you're going to see an lcy view so happy pts this this is the science that you will need to download I use this font for almost everything in the planner so be sure that you download it this is my personal fund so you just hit install font and a lot of times like with my computer I have to restart it so you will have to restart it so I happy why do so happy font and then I also use if you see this kind of cursive font right here it's really really pretty but I went to dafont.com and this one it's Paducah I'm believing is how you would pronounce it script free version so it's PA d UK a Paducah script free version and this is the font that I'm using for all of the cursive throughout the entire planner so this right here where it says 2017-2018 that is my font that I use the LC why do so happy and then if you notice back here you're going to see a big s y'all I literally did this with the most plain font possible I used the basic here is what your computer comes with font again I just wanted it to be very clean very simple and you can definitely change the colors on these as well so let's say I am just going to use my mother's last main so I'm going to put a Y back there since that's kind of what her last name starts with and then after you have all of these fonts installed here you would be able to go and just change it you would just double click on that change it and then you can also create it to make it bigger so here I can just double click to make sure that it's all it's all been selected and then I can go to and it says 82 right now I can go through and make it 80 or 96 same thing with this down here this is a separate piece that you would have to double click on so again you would double click on it and you can absolutely select it and move it I like to use my arrows to be able to move my numbers just because it makes it a little bit easier but there's how you would pretty much just change any of the actual covers that you had down here now if you would like to add some type of text down here like maybe you want to add your school name up here you should have a text box you would click that you would create your box wherever you would want it and then you would write your school down here select it all by triple clicking is it triple clicking or double clicking and then you would be able to change it to any of these fonts that you have so L see why it is so happy is the font that I've been using we make it a little bit smaller and then I can select it here and then scroll it down so you can definitely add your school down there if you wanted to also add your school so again I kind of kept them with two different designs I didn't really go too far too crazy but I really like this design you also have the square this is a very clean look that I've had with every single planner that I have ever launched and it's the black stripes with the gold looking box trimmed same thing here but these are just a little bit thicker and then for the guys out there who need to have a little bit more of a manly look here is a coffee version which I actually really like this costing version I thought it was really cute because like until you have your coffee you're flatlined and then you get coffee and you're back to life that's kind of how I feel a lot of the times so here is that and then you can definitely change your names down here and guys you don't have to use the fonts that I have you can definitely change this font here on the cover to make it whatever font that you want it to be and then I thought that this was just a really nice colorful version that takes me outside of my box a little bit but this is a really another great option for you to be able to change up I will say that whenever you do this one do one letter at a time so backspace backspace e so I would do it one letter at a time so that it doesn't you don't erase all of your colors and have to start all over and figure out where the colors are so I will say really quick to and this is the SC same thing with the planner that these are all images so if you select them you're going to be able to move them around I would be very careful with that and always make sure you hit undo if you do that or delete it completely redownload it and start from scratch because the moment that you move some of these images the printing will come will get off and it's not going to look right once it prints so be very very careful of that itself all right so those are the covers that I have right now I will be working on updating them especially for before the school year starts so that you have more options as well but there are some really good options for the time being that you can definitely use okay let's look at some of the ones so we've gone over the covers we've also talked about the font down here and then you also have a preview this is a preview preview that you saw when you purchase the planner if you went and actually looked at the preview so this is what that is you absolutely do not have to keep that and then you will see that you have four different versions of the editable teacher planner now we're going to go into editing in just a minute I do want to show you the two different versions so if you're going to notice here I have a vertical version and now I'm also offering a horizontal last year a lot of people really wanted to have a horizontal version so I came out with the horizontal so that you can choose from I did not go as far as doing the versions of you have five blocks or you have seven blocks I kept it with both versions have seven blocks it makes it a little bit easier and I just found that the five blocks was just not working with most teachers so I ended up going with only seven so both of these versions have seven blocks and then with each version the vertical and the horizontal you will have one of the horizontal that comes with lines the other one does not have lines on the weekly layout and then one of the vertical has lines and the other one of the vertical does not have lines so you can choose whichever version works best for you so I'm going to open up the horizontal wit lines so we can kind of go scroll through it so you can see it went with a little bit of a different layout this time the covers some what is the same again I try to keep it as clean as possible we have some calendars in there you still have the contact information but the part that's most important like I said is a horizontal piece so here's the horizontal it goes all the way across so here's the spot up here that you can put in your class times and over here on this side and then you have your dates with an area for you to be to be able to write down any notes for like meetings or anything that you have that's kind of going on that's important that day you can write that down here and then of course you have the lines again I'm going to take make a note that these are images which is why it makes it an editable document because you cannot actually you can't change any of this fonts you can't change any of the words any of the numbers on here none of this that you see originally on here can be changed the only thing that you can do is add to it you cannot change any of it you can only add to it you can also delete a slide so if I can delete I can click on that slide and delete that slide now that slide is gone i'ma hit undo because that's scary but you can delete a slide you can move slides you can add slides but you cannot change the contents of each of the slides also again these are images if you see here once you click on it you'll see that it's been selected if you move it be very careful because it will affect the way that it prints do you want to be very careful when you are adding any kind of information or words or changing trying to change anything on these slides so here is the horizontal version it everything is pretty much exactly the same with a vertical - the fact that you know it's horizontal that's pretty much it okay guys so we are going to jump right on in and get started with putting this planner together this planner that I have right now is my 2016-2017 school planner so I still have all of the contents from this previous year inside of it I am going to be going through taking everything out because I will still be using the exact scene cover and this is the Martha Stewart brand for the arts system it's in a very nice durable I guess it's like a fake leather feel quality and then this part right here where the rings actually will hook in it's a very heavy-duty plastic and they have not broken on me which has been really great because there are some versions that when you're popping these in and out that they will break on you I also went on ahead and purchased the larger sizes I believe this is maybe an inch inch and a half somewhere to that extent and this is a Martha Stewart brand as well I know that there's like the happy planner that has some the actual arc system itself that originally came out with a design has them and you can find them everywhere I just feel like these are great quality um they should stick every once in a while but I don't have an incredibly hard time getting my papers and stuff to move from it so it works out perfect for me I haven't had any issues with it I mean it sticks but it's going to like I I don't expect it to work perfectly every single time okay so here's what we're going to do I need to get this ready so that I can actually start putting my planner itself in there so I have my planner printed let me show you guys that here is my printed planner itself I went through and I have everything printed out for the entire year for the planner and I also went out and printed all of the different covers that you will be able to find I wanted to show you and talk to you guys really quick about the actual paper itself so this is 32 pound white paper that I purchased from Staples I just go to Staples and I purchased this paper it is great durable paper it is very thick and it will last a very long time so I'm very pleased with the paper itself and I will also say that in previous years when I first started printing at my Panerai planner I had a laser planner which was phenomenal I think laser printed so beautifully and it just comes out flawless as of right now I have an HP printer that's an office jet Pro 8710 if you're curious and that printer is an inkjet and I do the instinct which is where you know you pay $10 a month and you get so many papers and they automatically send you the ink it's a phenomenal deal so be sure to check that out if you are a teacher and you need something to be able to kind of manage yourself and how much you're printing but this year I ended up printing my planner at school because we got really really really nice laser printers copiers and Printers that are phenomenal and they are attached to your computer so I could actually just print it from my computer which was great and so it has almost like a sheen to it I don't know if you guys can see that but it has like this Sheen and it looks kind of shiny and that's just because of the printer and you know me using a laser jet I wouldn't guarantee that it's going to look this way whatever if you were to print it on like an inkjet itself but so this is the planner I have it ready to hole punch and get it ready to place inside of the binder what I'm going to do first is I'm going to clean this clean it out set the contents inside and then I'm going to actually kind of rinse and wash my planner itself and then as its drying I'm going to go through and hole punch this I am actually going to only select a few months to be able to hole punch I am NOT going to hole punch the entire year I'm actually going to store it away and then I will hole punch it as a later date because I only put probably three four months maybe inside of my planner I don't like to put all of it in there and that was one of the main reasons why I ended up doing a kind of make my own planner and put it into my own binding system because you get these planners yah and these planners are huge I mean look at how much paper that is but they're huge and they're bulky and I add stuff to it throughout the year just between papers that I need to be able to keep track of you know things that my administration gives me and I just cannot stand having a bulky big chunky clunky binding system so now I just need to figure out exactly what is it that I'm going to keep and not keep so I'm going to do that now [Music] now there's the planner it has dramatically changed it is not as thick as what it was before and especially if you're using a great quality paper guys you're not going to want to place all of these papers inside of your planner so now I need to go through and hole punch it and make sure that I have it on the correct setting I also use this to be able to hole punch my a5 planner so I also have an a5 planner that I use and that's more for like my to do's my home my business my you know things that I have to do for school as well but it's more of my everything planner whereas this one is more of just an actual teacher planner itself so I have two different planners that I use just because this will typically say at school I don't need to bring it home back and forth so I'm going to go ahead and hole punch this now I have it set to my letter size and then this is kind of my stopper where I'm going to stop it so I'm a hole punch these and then we can start to put these in [Music] okay so now I have it completely punched and ready to get inserted into the planner itself you're going to know this here's my planner that I just removed this was so this is my previous year I actually took a piece of and this actually has the mock planner that I first printed out and this is actually printed you're going to see the difference between this and this I don't know if you guys can see that but this one was printed on my inkjet whereas this one was not see how that has a shiny and this one does not shine at all so the quality is a little bit different but this was also my my mock when I was just first trying out and printing it and to get a feel of what it would end up looking like so I actually used a piece of scrapbooking paper that I found at Michaels and I thought it was just so pretty and I ended up just cutting it to size and punching it to be able to use it for my planner itself I'm actually going to put one of the covers that I have made into it but first I think I want to laminate it because I'm going to end up using it as a dashboard so I'll show you guys exactly what I do with that one once we get the other part of the planner put in and so I'm going to show you that to you and I'm actually going to if you're curious I use a scotch laminating system so I'm actually going to plug this in so that I can get this heated up and I can laminate my cover sheet this does three mils and five mils ended up deciding you know like literally I think it was almost right before the school year started that I decided that I just was not loving the spiral-bound I didn't like being confined and conflict' saying that my planner is stuck this way I can't remove papers I can't add things the way that I want to add things and I hated it like I just could not do it so I went back to the Arc System I'm going to go ahead cook this up so that I can get my covers laminated and then show you guys what all of that looks like in just a second so let's get this baby going while I have my laminator heating up I'm going to go through and just kind of take out some of the tabs so last year time I purchased these tabs right here that you're going to see and these are Martha Stewart brand like I said so August would be this one and then September there's October November and December [Music] okay so that works just grab some and you snap them in y'all this is the easiest thing ever being able to insert these you don't have to worry about like if you're using a three-ring binder you don't have to worry about your your binding not matching up because I cannot tell you how many times that has happened to me like after a while of you like putting your binder everywhere it just starts to mess up and it becomes such a pain to have to deal with these just they just fit so perfect and I know people get really worried about papers falling out I have never in the three years of me ever using this type of system had an issue with the papers falling out never which there's something to be said about that which is really cool and it gives you the flexibility of having that feel of a spiral notebook while at the same time you're able to customize it and make it fit your needs because we're all different you know we're different teachers we we teach differently where we organize things differently there is no way that I expect anyone to do the same exact thing that I'm doing like the tabs you may be thinking to yourself she's why is she doing that that is the dumbest thing ever and that's totally okay because it doesn't fit you in my brain it works out perfect so like I said I just I love this system because you can make it fit then your leads and make your planner work for you you know I know you see so many different planners out there and you're like oh my gosh it's so cute it's so pretty I want to do that I want to have that pretty cute cleaner but the purpose of a planner is not just to be cute I mean we want it to be pretty who doesn't like pretty things in life heck I like to be have pretty things in life but like at the same time the planner itself is not meant for you to just have it to be pretty a planner is meant to help you stay organized to help you get on top of your game and to be the best you every single day it is to help you organize yourself as a teacher organize your life that is the purpose of this it is not only be to be cute you can make them cute but if you're slowly looking at a planner just because it's cute I mean Town Hall is is you need to make sure you're also asking yourself the question of is it going to fit my knee is it going to literally work for exactly what I wanted to work for and the problem with planners that you purchase that are already bound for you is that they don't have everything that you want you end up finding out that it's not working out for you and then you flick and then they do give you like the option to customize it to be able to add things and take away things but y'all it ends up being like a hundred stinking dollars at the end of the day and I'm sorry I'm not spending $100 on a planner it's just not happening let's eliminate so if you're curious I use the oh sorry about the rings the light the scratch thermal laminating pouches I am really digging this I think I might keep this one right now just loving it love love loving it so really like this one because it fits the men out there you know if you need something that's not so cutesy but it's still pretty cool I love this love it like your flatline until you have a drink of coffee and then you start to like it revived that a cell we y'all like this is so mean look how pretty is that I'm going to laminate this one too because it just makes me happy so I'm going to let these run off to the side and we're going to use this one just because it's making me feel very happy right now I don't like the look of having like the extra lamination off on the edges it just and then like they're different sizes if you don't get it just right it just bothers me so I'm just going to cut these down to fit the paper size and then I'm going to punch it and place it in my planner move that off to the side then I like put it inside of the planner so there it is I know it's shiny and I apologize about that but because I laminated there's nothing I can do about it so now I have a nice little cover to protect my actual planner itself and now what I think I want to do is just kind of talk to you guys I'm going to walk through this planner talk to you about some of the differences that are very like wow that's totally different from last year's planner I cannot show you all of last year's planner mainly because a lot of it has writing on it so it has a ton of writing on it just said it's confidential I cannot be able to show you guys everything but I am going to talk to you a little bit about how I'm going to be using it I laminated this for one a couple of different reasons because I want to be able to protect the papers that are behind it another reason that I wanted to laminate it is that you can use this as a dashboard so I don't know if you like to watch like planner communities but a lot of people will refer to like a dash or something to that extent but you can place all kinds of sticky notes here and so this will be like my catch-all for my sticky notes so that if I have a sticky note that I write something jot something on I can always place it here and then come back to it once I'm kind of processing processing some of the information that I've had from that day into the actual planner itself so that is going to be another purpose that I have for this so looking at the planner you're going to see some things that are a little bit different so I went around and I added this kind of border to it one I like how it just kind of it finishes it I feel like it has just a finishing touch I've had this clip art for years and years and years and I've never really used it I ended up using this this year because I thought it just again was just something else that I just don't really do and I wanted to add a add a clip part to it so I picked this one this year because I thought it was really cute changed out the fonts I feel like this is a little bit more dainty er just is a little bit more classic and prettier it reminds me a lot of the hand lettering that a lot of people are seeing out there and then the find that you see here that you're going to see throughout the planner is my font this is my handwriting font this is what my I actually made this fun okay so moving on when you open it up you have a 20-17 gear calendar and you have a 28 year 2018 year calendar right here for you to be able to look at what I like to do with these is I like to circle these I told you guys that I have some pins that I absolutely love that will save your life if you are weird like me and don't like the way your handwriting looks so I found these pins actually no I did not my partner found these pins these were a little bit different these are the ones that I found at Target and they're called the friction and I've used these before it's by Pilate they're erasable pens and they're great this is a point seven which is great it's good it's not a bad pen at all it's actually probably one of the thinner ones that you can find out in the stores but then I went online y'all this is a point O 3 these are the Slim's and this is shinb all slim 0.38 my apologies so it's a point three eight and it is so skinny and pretty and beautiful and then I love it but they had all these wonderful colors so now I use these for when I'm planning out my group too so I cannot wait to show you guys how I end up using these pins but definitely check these pins out I'm going to leave a link down below so that you guys can go and find them but here's what I do with these with these two pages I will use maybe a color pin and I'm going to end up circling the date that I know for sure that we're going to have off so any of the things that we can have off I'm just going to circle it and then I'm going to create like a little key down here at the very bottom where I might just kind of draw in a color and just say off or you know it's going to be like a teacher work day or something to that extent but each one is going to have a different color so that's going to be how I use this and I will definitely show you guys how I use it a little bit more during the school year too so when we're doing some of those planets some planning sessions together I'll show you guys exactly how I'm using it but that's kind of the idea of where these two pages are going to go then you have your student contact pages now these are very different from last year's last year's contact pages did not look like that let me see if I can actually so I have kids names all over it so I'm really sorry but you have this one little bitty area to be able to put each kid in now granted you were also able to put eight kids on a sheet now you can only put four but y'all I could not fit in information on these little bitty squares at all like it just was not happening for me so now what I did was I went through and I made them longer and bigger to be able to add the student names and to be able to add two phone numbers along with their contact information because I would only put one phone number and then I wouldn't know who it belonged to so if it's this person I'm going to put their contact number here along with their address and their email here so you're definitely going to need more pages but like I said I don't put all of my months in here so that I can have this information here with me at all times to me this is more and having every single month in here you know and then I can go through and just kind of clean it out afterwards so I have my student information pages and I have quite a few of those because I have quite a few kids and then the next thing that you're going to see is your contact log again keeping with the scene designed here the only thing that I actually changed up was I added the border that you're going to see throughout the entire planner so that was pretty much the only thing that I changed there I didn't do anything different on that one these are just good to have just to be able to say that hey I called you I contacted you I did this with you remember I called and did this at this time I have a tendency to forget things a lot but this is so nice to be able to say and this covers your but you all as a teacher you want to be able to cover your butt like you want to have something to be able to record and log things for when you're having contact with parents contact with administration contact with anything you want to be able to make sure that you log it that's going to be the purpose for this here too and then you have your account information the only thing that I did differently with this is that I added an other at the bottom of each one and the other pretty much stands for like whenever you have like an IB or something like that I had a few websites that I needed a username as some type of an ID and then a password so I wanted to make sure that I had that in there to be able to write that information then you have special dates which is like your birthdays or anniversaries those types of things pretty much stayed the exact same as the previous year - the fact that I just put special dates or maybe I actually had that so here is last year's special dates to remember is what I did last year and then this time I just kept it simple just did special dates but it's the exact same actually I think I have more lines here than what I did in this one same idea I finished it off by giving it a border I feel like it just kind of finishes it and then I moved on to meetings and professional development which I actually had the exact same thing last year again kept it very simple just kind of finished it off I wasn't able to finish development last year because the the curse said that I used Austria was just very thick and clunky and chunky this time is a little bit more D&T and simple so I was able to write in the whole word and then I did change this up this up a little bit because I had it the previous couple of years that I've done my planner as one of these where it actually have a little block y'all I didn't do that this year this year I just made it very simple and I did it exactly the way the others to look and I think it looks very nice it continues the design it has it very simple and I like it I think it looks great and then I did not add the medical information here a couple of reasons why I actually will have a binder for medical information but typically y'all I will literally just write it in my notes I will make a little block or whatever it is because I ended up not using this as much as I did like I probably had two kids or something to that extent they had to go and get medicine or you know I had like a few kids who had asthma and I needed to write their names down but I just wrote asthma and then I wrote their names down so I will literally just write it in my notes section or if I have it on another piece of paper I did a lot of things like this where I had lots of papers like this which will end up going right inside of here to that I will just kind of insert in here and then use it you know when I need to so actually right before I get to July I can actually insert some of these papers so like this one it's like my fourth-grade word study it's the the word study that they use that you know in my district so I'm going to go ahead and just insert this stuff in there because that's something that I want to be able to refer to we had things like act eighty days like schedule stuff that I could put in there we also had you know I was given lists for their reading levels that I actually had in here I'm not going to put those in there because it's from the previous year but like yeah I would get things like this like swim schedule that I had placed inside of there then you're given like just a bunch of like notes papers that you can just add in there so you guys can add however many you want to do in there let's talk about how I'm using this piece of my planner because I did change this up drastically from last year so here's a version from last year and the way from this year again I kept it very simple I didn't want to go anything too crazy but then I all you're also going to notice that I took some things away so for those of you who have been following me you guys know that I love love love love getting things done by David Allen it's a phenomenal book very motivational it helps you understand how to manage your tasks so I have only three sections now a goal projects and tasks last year I had the top 5 packs for the month the goal notes and then I had school events and faculty birthdays guys I ended up not using this as much I would just simply place it right in here versus using these two things so I completely got rid of this the purpose of this is for me to be able to organize some of the things that I want to do so my goal for this month maybe you know my big goal for this month if you want to do it towards you know getting a project finish you can have that project well so that could be your big thing this month then you have five different projects that you could take out an assignment certain tasks to be able to complete these projects as the month goes on so that's what I have here and I hope I will do a more in depth video of how I'm kind of managing some of those things later on and if you're really really curious on how I do this guys give the video a thumbs up let me know that you want to know more about projects and tasks and how to manage some of those within the classroom setting so that's kind of how I changed it I feel like it also looks a little bit more cleaner very simple yeah I like simple designs because I can go through and add all my color you my pen you know if I want to make it 4th of July boom boom there ya go bloomin red and you know you add that color into it so that's how I'm planning on using that the months are going to stay there pretty much the same I have you know your spot for notes over here I kept it very simple I am going to be coming out with stickers that you will be able to print on your own that have like a theme to go along with it I'm looking to have it done at the end of this month or hopefully at the beginning of August so that you can print them out and cut them to the size just to add some color up there if you want to add color to it so that's going to be what you can do there that's the purpose of that is to be able to add some of that that kind of a decorative piece to it but you have your boxes just like that and I think from last year the only big difference is I gave Saturday and Sunday their own box whereas last year it was half so they're more square as well which I really really like and also if you're going to be looking at stickers these boxes will actually fit more stickers than what last year's boxes were so if you like to go out and go to Michael's and that type of stuff and find stickers to be able to add to your planner to give it that really like personal piece to it these boxes are going to be able to fit more stickers than the other ones word wood because they're they're way too big they were way today then you go into your vertical pieces like you like you saw when I was doing the editing I have my notes here I'm going to use this box up here for the week so it's going to say week 1 week 2 I'm just going to write those in and then these are going to be where I use for my small groups and my lessons that I'm going to be using for the year I ended up not typing them in I'm just going to leave them linked and I'm just going to handwrite them because I don't mind handwriting them and my groups have a tendency to change quite a bit but if you are you know you have reading writing math that type of thing but because mine change so much I'm just going to leave mine blank so that I don't have to go back and try to fix it and then again I'm going to keep this link up here so that can add any kind of important dates like here I put the 4th of July I can add a meeting time in there anything that I have going on PBS that I have to put in there and keep track of some of those events up here and use these all for my actual lessons last year I used this to keep track of who was in my small group that was my partner's idea which was phenomenal so I took that idea and so like let's say I have one group and that group I used in this color and I would write all their names right next to the actual rectangle so I could put Johnny Lily Jo Susie Michael Lily those types of people all are in this group and this is who I have that week here so I would literally do all the writing right here with this color which is why I like the different colored pens so you would almost see like a rainbow of colors colors y'all like it was so pretty but I would use that color over here to be able to signal that these kids were in this group you know these kids are going to be in this group and those kids have a totally different color so I would just use different ones and that's kind of how I added that that personal colorful feel to my planner itself because it is a very simple you know toned planner it doesn't have a ton to it then at the very back after you do your weekly you have a section for notes that you can use for whatever it is that you choose to use it if you want to make it as another task list be able to keep track of all of your little - dues definitely do that because it will help this could help you do that like I said I have it divide it out for my months I use the martha stewart dividers and then it just kind of keeps going guys and i I mean I love it it's just very simple and easy and it just works for me and I really hope that if you've already purchased this planner that you love it as much as I do and that it's going to work for you too I really want this to work for you then I have the checklist which is I have not put any of my names in there yet but it's again very very simple design and you can put your kids names here and then have all of the different assignments that go here as well again keeping with that simple very simple feel to it so that's it that is the actual planner itself I hope that you guys enjoyed looking at
