My Life as a Substitute Teacher- Vlog #1

good morning YouTube it is 6:30 a.m. those are the clothes I will laid out from last night every morning of course I brush my teeth and I get dressed and then I give a couple pets to my puppy bear who's very sleepy because it's 6:30 in the morning and then I go upstairs and make my lunch I have a little Tupperware container for the leftovers from last night pretzels some dry cereal I do have two sodas I will drink one right now because I don't like coffee and one with my lunch and then put them in my $3 Target lunch bag these are my reusable lunch bags because I don't like to use Ziploc bags and then I am out the door I'll see you in a couple hours all right and now I'm in my car it's about 7:22 a.m. my job starts 7:40 I've got about a 10-minute Drive this morning as you guys can see I did all my morning routine sometimes it includes putting makeup on I am very tired this morning so as you can see no makeup today so I'm gonna have a pretty typical day I'm covering a forensics class I believe but we'll find out when I get there I am gonna point out today is Friday May 3rd and I'm wearing a Christmas sweater the confused thing I have in my closet and Friday for me it's laundry day but whatever I'm gonna head to work and I'll see you guys there all right you guys so I just got to work I was gonna check in with you guys at my car but I'm falling a little behind this morning um so I come in I get my badge this one has two keys I get my bell schedule which it looks like today they have a different bowel schedule and a number of students that I'm getting today I'm gonna be covering two classes this one and then during my prep period I'm going to be covering a different class which for me for my district means I get paid more if I work during my prep it's called one hundred and twenty percent um today's a little different cuz this is a three day job that I have I'm here Friday Monday Tuesday and I don't have sub plans so now I got a scramble probably called down to the office try and find them and her desk on the board something to that thing so or I just come in and tell the kids I don't have plans for you work on homework happens but I'm not sure why this person it's gone I've had this job scheduled for a while so I'm not sure why I don't have some plans but I will check in with you guys around lunchtime so today's gonna be quite a normal day [Music] all right hi guys it's lunchtime and they have a long lunch today because they have some art best thing as you saw in the previous clip I was in the wrong room I have some plans I have everything they need these directions on the board there's all of that but just a little hiccup in the road I did cover my other class when I was supposed to and again there were actually no sub plans for that class I didn't really matter now I have a actually long lunch day usually high schools only get about 30 minutes I get an hour today because they have like an Art Fest or something outside only two more hours for the end of the day I'd finally get to eat my lunch compared to yesterday when I did not um yeah I'll check in with you guys to at the end of the day you guys normal work looks like so they usually put sticky notes for like what period it is is that the worksheet pages these are when I teach a lesson like the directions sometimes it's got like materials or other ones for the next couple days has I told you guys I'm gonna be here for three days materials I'm gonna need my family think those are there all the time this is what the kids see when they first come in see he's got two classes that he teaches and a lot this is really popular these days where a teacher won't be here for the day so they'll just go on Google classroom where the kids have already logged on especially at this school district and just be able to assign them things and have things due at the end of the period that I don't even have control olive oil that I don't even know what it is but I think there's positives negatives to it positive being I don't have as much paperwork and I don't have as many directions to follow negative being I really don't know what the requirements so I don't know what to expect when I'm watching the class what they should shouldn't be doing but know go eat my lunch and I'll check in with you guys at the end of the day all right well now I'm home this is about a normal day for me I do have a second job as a waitress but I don't have to do it today so I get to spend the rest of my Friday enjoying baseball and playing with there so I'll close out this video with my greeting from bear when I get home but in the meantime can you guys like the this video down at the bottom subscribe if you'd like to come on my substitute journey with me I'm not sure what to do for the next video so if you want to leave in the comments below what you guys would like to see I'd love to hear from you thanks guys [Music]
