2021-2022 Teacher Planner Walkthrough-Berteau & Co.

hi everyone today i will be walking you through a teacher planner that i plan on using for the 2021-2022 school year this plan is from a company called virtua and company it was founded by jose who used to be a classroom teacher um which i really love because he knows exactly what we need in teacher planner um now the reason why it's still in the box is because i wanted to show you guys how cute the box was um or the the top of the box i would say but they went ahead and wrote my name on the box and i thought that was so nice they did that with all of their orders and i think that takes a lot of commitment obviously because i'm sure they have hundreds of orders that they have to do this for so i thought that was a really nice touch so let's go ahead and dive in to what is in the box so this is how the planner comes which i thought was really nice packaging this thing is like secured in here the the size of the box is like perfect for the planner um it's even bubble wrapped i mean this thing is thick there were also some little goodies in here that they included um so they included these little stickers look how cute this one is this one's um they said was lisa frank inspired which i loved i loved lisa frank as a child um a little notebook with their company name on it and my favorite look at this little cat how cute is this so these will be going on my laptop because they're just so adorable here is the gorgeous gorgeous planner i'm sorry for the angle i don't have a phone stand or something to hold up my phone so it's literally stocked on top of books but this is the boho rainbow teacher planner i'm on their website right now and they literally just sold out of this planner so um they only have they had six designs to start with and they currently only have two so if you watch this video while they still have some planners in stock run and buy one before they sell out because virtual company makes these like you have to pre-order them and then once they're sold out that's it they don't restock i think they talked about maybe doing a restock but they haven't said anything so if you like a planner go and buy it but this is the boho rainbow planner so this planner has rose gold like rose gold foil here it has the coil that's rose gold and then in the corners it has rose gold like little metal pieces to protect the corners which i thought was really nice this is a very very nicely built planner the cover is thick it's like it's a hard cover i used an erin condren last year and the erin condren i have it right here this is my erin condren from last year so this is this was a plastic it was a laminated it's laminated plastic it's very thick but theirs is like cardboard but like really thick cardboard so i actually really like it and i mean this thing is gorgeous let me hold it up for you one more time look at that and then in the back it has their company name also so nice so so nice so this is an eight and a half by eleven planner and i'm gonna put it next to the erin condren so if you're an erin condren person they are about the same size yeah these are going to be exactly the same size and the same thickness as well so let's dive into this one okay so when you open the planner you're actually going to get several sheets of stickers um on the left hand side you have the spliner belongs to your school that you're grading your email in case you get gets lost but they included a ton of these little flag stickers which are like really pretty colors they also included holiday stickers so you have a bunch of holidays on the top and then you have birthday stickers you also have some party stickers in here now i am a middle school teacher will i be using these stickers absolutely okay i actually really like stickers on my planner um birthday i don't have enough i'm probably gonna have about i think 80 to 90 students next year so these i will probably use mainly for like probably like staff birthdays that i want to remember um because i don't i won't have enough unless i like use the little flag ones but for that there's an there's a page in here for a birthday so i'm just going to use that yeah you get all these all of these holiday stickers then you get let me make sure i didn't skip a page i sure did give me just a minute sorry let's stuck to the other one okay they also included these really cute holiday stickers these remind me a lot of like um the happy planner stickers but you have to buy like different packs to get the holiday ones they included stickers for almost every single holiday you have your july like fourth of july stickers back to school fall halloween um get your christmas your valentine's day your st patrick's day stickers and then like some spring stickers um so i really oh look i already pulled peeled one off um i really like these you have your new year so these are so cute i plan on using these for the main like the main calendar page just to jazz it up a bit and make it a little cuter but i like that they included these in there next you have you the stickers that you would use like for um to keep up with like trainings so you have uh staff development stickers teacher prep day a ton of conference stickers personal day five which is funny because we actually are given five personal days um tutoring field trip grade zoo and then you have some fall break fall break ends winter break begins spring break begins and observation stickers and then your early release stickers which i'm excited about because this will be my second year teaching middle school and we do get early release and we did not get any this past school year due to covet well due to the fact that we didn't have state assessments as much but you also get a second sheet of stickers these have um iep rti 504 meetings library testing assembly stickers plc meetings in service day and a bunch of team planning stickers down here i also thought this was really nice for them to include and this is what i'm talking about like they are teachers they know what kind of stickers we would actually use and these iep rti and 504 stickers are going to come in handy for those meetings and just like little reminders like hey you have a meeting coming up then you go into your first page jose writes a little note on here just thank you for supporting um berto and company and then you go into your daily schedule now this paper is thick i really like it i think it's gonna um i think whatever pen i use is gonna go really well on this paper and i like that it's thick and not like thin notebook paper you have your specials your early release schedule your school directory you have safety procedures fire drill lockdowns severe weather and other you also have substitute information so if you ever have a sub and you really like them you can take down their information to use them again you have class volunteers field trip info dates chaperones and then you have my passwords and then you have student roster so you actually get 40 lines on here so if you have a class with 40 students you get to write their names on here and their id numbers just keep track of it i do think this is handy there's been times when i need someone's id number and i have to look it up in the system but this would have been very useful now like i said i will have about 90 kids this school year so i won't be able to use this but i really like it and i think it's going to be very handy for those elementary school teachers who have 40 or less students and then you go into the birthday so this is what i was talking about this is probably where i'll keep track of my students birthdays i do like to acknowledge their birthday when it comes around it's special for them so this is where i will be keeping track of that then have your transportation who is a car rider a bus rider a walker or daycare allergy and medical information seating chart seating chart seating chart seating chart this is going to be helpful because i think i'm going to have six classes next year and then this is a these are pages for you to keep track of your students passwords i know my students used to forget their passwords all the time so this was very this would have been very helpful for me to keep track of their name their the website the username and the password for that i would suggest that you write this in with pencil because if you ever have to change their password you wouldn't have to just scratch down but you get several sheets of these also for 40 students you then go into student info like information that you take at the beginning of the school year when you are meeting the parents so you have address parent guardian's name guardian 1 guardian 2 emergency contact name phone and email on here it's very pretty and again you get and then for 40 students okay you have some conference schedule sheets and then some parent-teacher conference log i think this i really like this there's been times when i've had to contact parents and i just keep it on a sticky note and then i end up losing it but this way i have it all in one place like why did i call them and then some notes on that get several of those and then you go into the data tab here you have a checklist um which could be used as a gradebook or just a checklist again you have space for 40 students and then you get several of those and then towards the end of this you get an assessment page so if you want to keep track of assessment data you have space for that as well and again i love how colorful it is all right so let's go into the first month the first month is august when you go to august this is how it is for every single month so i'm only going to show you one but when you get to the first page you have like these tasks at the top and then monday through friday and then you can check them off um i'm not really sure what i'm going to use this for yet but i really like that this is at the beginning you have your monthly goals and then you have space down here and this i think i'm going to use for the objectives it takes that i have to teach for that month maybe break it up by subject since i'll be teaching i think three subjects next year it's three different math classes so i really really like this and then the monthly view now the one thing that i love about the monthly view is that it's white and there's color at the top and you can decorate this however you would like and that's what i was talking about those stickers in the previous um in the previous pages but these boxes are pretty large i really like that and then you have your top five priorities over here you even have a little space for some notes up here and then you have your to-do list down here but how nice is this layout totally customizable put some washi tape on there if that's what you like to do you then have notes and notes and then you go into your weekly layout now the one thing that um jose said in one of his lives when he was introducing this planner is that the reason they did it this way where nothing is labeled is because they were getting feedback where some teachers wanted vertical layout and then some wanted horizontal so they did it this way so you can do whatever you would like and the best part is they did it on both sides so that when you fold this over you don't have to keep flipping back and forth you would just have it like you'll have your dates labeled on both sides of this planner so if you are a vertical person then you would label this monday going down tuesday wednesday and then your subjects going across but if you are a horizontal person then this all would be monday tuesday wednesday so on and so forth and then your subjects on top now the only way i've ever planned before or the only the planners that i've used before in previous years have always been um horizontal we're like this is monday this is tuesday so i think i'm going to change it up this year and i'm going to actually plan down and this all will be monday tuesday and wednesday that way i don't have to like i can see wednesday all on one page rather than me like or see whatever day and have to flip over to the next side i can just like keep it open on one side and i wouldn't have to be flipping back and forth but i thought that was really nice that they did it this way to accommodate all of the teachers that asked for vertical or horizontal so i thought that was really nice and they have different colors on the little tabs so you get several of these sheets [Applause] and then you go on to your next month and again everything else everything stays the same you get the front sheet you get your calendar and then you get your planning pages so let's go ahead and go to the page so this planner actually goes from august all the way to july of 2022 and at the very end you get even more notes pages and then you get something very nice they've included a sheet protector for you and they've included a zipper pouch and i love this love love love this the erin condrens used to come with the zipper pouch and i think they stopped adding them i think you have to like buy it separately because the last time i got an erin condren it did not have that zipper pouch anymore and i was devastated but berto and company included it in their planner and this zipper pouch is huge guys like that's my whole hand so i thought that was so so nice that they included that in there very excited about this and then the most exciting thing and i left this on the review on their website is that the folder that they included actually fits a full sheet of paper and i know what you're thinking why does that matter it matters because i hate folding papers like this one right here so this is my erin condren and erin condren added a pocket very nice right like super high up but then it doesn't go all the way to the edge so if i wanted to put anything in here i couldn't fit a full sheet of paper i had to fold it and put it in vertically so in their folder it actually fits and it fits on both sides i'm not opening that page paper because i think it's some confidential information but oh no some test data look out but it actually fits guys so i'm very very excited about that okay so you get your pocket double sided um folder and then you have the back cover wherever you go um go with your heart but that is my walkthrough of the planner oh and one last thing because of the way these coils are this is not like a spiral notebook let me see if i can zoom in do y'all see like the way they are okay once you get to the back you cannot fold this one over you just bring everything else over here but that's not really a big deal unless you're like trying to do that because you can definitely fold this over this way so that's not going to be that's like a deal breaker to me but this is um beautiful um i understand it is june and i'm talking about a teacher planner but like i said i got on their website and they now only have two designs available they have the luxe leopard teacher planner available and then they also have the they partnered up with gary brooks so if you know who gary brooks is they partnered up with him and he designed a planner for them and they still have that one available so those are the only two planners they have available so if you want one of these i highly recommend that you purchase one as soon as possible but i'm going to add the link to their website in the description i'm also going to put a link that gives you i think 10 off your purchase they sell other things like t-shirts stickers notepads a clip folio which is like a clipboard slash planner that you can also get for someone or for yourself but i will add guess like a full size planner 8 to half by 11 and this is the size that i really like so that's why i like jumped on it and pre-ordered it and i'm so so happy that i did but thank you for watching
