you can't preach drop it like it's hot is that all right is that all right so i'm here just to introduce the team that is here with us and i really want to say how much we appreciate the warm hospitality we've been receiving when we got here this morning and showing even before we got here as bishop reid mentioned when he received the call from our sales and marketing manager mrs winter everything was just put in place to accommodate this worship service this morning as we celebrate our 10th anniversary so i will be introducing the team to you this morning some you will hear on a daily basis some of us are behind the scenes you won't see them but they are very much instrumental in the day-to-day operation of gospel j.a or chief financial officer when i need money this is the person i go to because what she is the chief financial officer miss ashina thompson would you stand yes very quiet very small but a powerful woman in the company missionary grant administrative assistant you will meet her in the front when when you come in come on stan miss grant let them see you a very warm and hospitable uh is this miss petrina roberts here with us senators robert's here did she make it all right officer assistant i can i tell you she keep the place spunking clean and they know i don't like mess so the place is always clean and we must say thanks to miss roberts or sales and marketing team if they don't sell we don't get paid you know what i'm saying if they don't do their job the station go off here because it takes cash to care right bishop you know that two two books runs the church and are two books around the church the pocket book and the holy book you pay the bill someone you preach from the other one so i'm gonna be inviting our sales and marketing manager she read the second lesson and she leads the team mrs analia winter a very hard-working sales and marketing manager please stand very creative and innovative getting things going she's assisted by miss raven archer sales and marketing assistant and account executive will you stand and in the days when i'm getting low you know i ask her for a cup of coffee she's my coffee mate she makes the best coffee at gospel j a yeah i know and then we have miss clothing clark she gets all the commercials all the obituaries all the spots everything on the air miss clark will you stand please give it up for miss clark and mr mika newell account executive another hard worker at gospel j.a we also have a miss edith brown another account executive yes hard work mr o'neill campbell sales rep will you stand sir yeah they they keep the money coming in as it relates to sales and marketing our production team mr nicu angus the technical supervisor is upstairs right there in the balcony of course he keeps us going as we are right now on air miss sabrina bryce or producer very hard work again accompanied by mr mr donna dunny hall you'll see him around taking photographs he's up there too with us and of course our news team mr ian andrews veteran broadcaster at the back there and of course another news presenter miss talithia rodney you'll hear her most time at six o'clock nissan williams that's the man your evening companion then of course on saturdays another new voice we'll hear is that of anya jean phillips she comes with a heart of gold we have mr shauna heming's work she gave us the first lesson she gives us the gospel rock on a saturday afternoon likewise ian andrews with the saturn with a saturday sports special miss chavel cavanaugh another new kid on the block with the gospel son and of course andy gene phillips comes back in the afternoon with the gospel glaze unfortunately he's unable to be you know be with us this morning but he's joining us virtually the ceo founder with the visionary of gospel j.a is the host of the gospel mix on a saturday morning he gave us the gospel top 10 countdown and of course you'll hear him talking about talking with many members of the ministry of health and wellness really uh getting vaccinated none other than mr wyatt casey davis come on put your hands together for the visionary come on give it up for our ceo give it up for our managing director and of course i am yours truly markland action edwards the host of the overflow in the afternoons and of course your saturday spotlight so i want to for having us in lady reid it's a pleasure to meet you my very first time here what say you darren it's my first time as well yeah we'll be coming back the worship is nice and the warmth is just so hot the warm is hot [Music] we are 10 years strong i discovered that it's a new statement we're 10 years strong so we tend strong what you say ian with 10 strong 10 strong i'm not saying come on and put your hands together for 10 years of radio broadcasting celebrate amen so we'll be giving you a little history i trust that we won't bore you because we have you know good taste and as such let us talk to you about where we're coming from and where we are now we i don't think we can board them no we do it every morning all right sure so let me go first gospel jfl would started testing on the fm ban in late 2011 oh yes was launched officially on february 25 2012 though the station is based in kingston the official launch was held in mandeville manchester in the form of a live outside broadcast a number of gospel artists shared in the lodge some of these artists include lubert davis stitchy gotti gotti sam wisdom and george banton owned and operated by casey broadcasting company limited gospel jfm is lead by ceo and managing director wyatt casey davis members of the day-to-day management team include asheen thompson chief financial officer 2016 to present markland action edwards programs manager 2020 to present and anna lea winter sales and marketing manager 2021 to present the first location for the students of gospel jfm during its launch was based in havendale kingston 19. anyone remember that maybe not not even me which lasted for approximately four months its official offices and studios were then moved to kasha park road in kingston well in kingston until 2017 and then relocated to ivy green anyone know about evergreen would not really come at this stage but it's all right so based on its rapid growth there was a level of urgency that propelled the company to relocate to a much larger facility in december 2020 where it is now uh upper being operated at 10 collins green avenue kingston 5. there have always been several live and pre-recorded broadcasts aired on a daily basis the first ever pre-recorded broadcast to be aired on the station was anyone no the first ever pre-recorded broadcast to be aired on the station was the voice of power broadcast hosted by bishop dr delphi davis of the power faith ministers international lots 13 and 14 portmore town center in portmore saint catherine the program is still being aired put your hands together for bishop dr delpha davis started out playing over 80 percent jamaican gospel music something that we're look for jamaican gospel music a lot of us know that artists know jamaican artists because of gospel jaff praise the lord true word gospel jfm made the adjustments in 2018 to be the only radio station in jamaica to play over 95 jamaican gospel music and then to 98 in 2019 as a full 24 hours radio station from its inception gospel jfm started out with only one full-time announcer and guess who that was the boss himself day in and day out even one on the radio but god is a deliverer the station moved from one on-air announcer to several on-air announcers over the years these announces include leon nash 2012 and 2014 to 2015 who remember alan lewis 2013 to 2015 sashay bennett 2014 to 2015 avogade blair black 2015 to present seven years strong i tell you all 310 on the need to pick me up why atlanta livingston 2015 to 2016 and 2018 to 2021 nicholas swaby 2016-2018 rasheed douglas 2016-2018 primrose oliver 2018 to 2020 darren smith 2018 to present shawna hemmings will 2018 to present ian andrews 2019 to president martin edwards 2020 to present nissan williams energy phillips and kavel kavanagh since 2022 with a desire come on applaud you can come on [Applause] thank you with a desire to reach a wider and more diverse audience the news and sports department was officially created in 2019 since then we have been broadcasting three major newscasts per day six 6 30 a.m 12 30 p.m and 6 00 p.m along with the headline news at 11 25 a.m and 5 00 p.m mondays to fridays not to be outdone the news team worked tirelessly to captivate its audience with the most credible and up-to-date news stories it is with experience and alacrity that the team continues on a solid path of dissemination of information including the coverage of the last general elections in jamaica with the inclusion of saturday sports special 4 to 5 30 p.m and that's with veteran broadcasters sportscaster rather ian andrews live coverage of sporting activities from across the country has been uh must listen to each week that saturday sports special inside the gospel rock with online networks across the world its ranking continues to grow exponentially and finally the gospel ja officially official mobile app was launched on july 7 2021 so you can download your app for those say that again say it again yes they are and we are grateful to god for that individuals locally and internationally depend on gospel jfm to give them hope spiritual upliftment and the very best in good jamaican gospel music of more than 30 radio gospel jfm now this is good stuff of more than 30 radio station gospel jfm was ranked number 15 in its first 2012 all island media survey good something that then to number 13 in 2014 however with a continuous and astoning listenership gospel jfm moved to number nine in the all-ireland media survey published in 2017 and then moved to number six in the 2019 publication though being placed number eight in the 2021 all media island survey gospel jfm continues to be the radio station with the 15th is female listenership that's that's new for someone female listenership the radio station with the second highest urban listenership and the fastest growing listen to radio station in jamaica that's gospel jfm come on and put your hands together so we say thanks to all our listeners who have you know been with us faithfully for 10 strong years our silent listeners and unknown ourselves and rotate on a call but you have been listening i'm really feeling very satisfied for the strides that this gospel station is making because of all the according to mrs blair black if we have 30 stations in jamaica then not all of them are gospel stations we know that but thank god that a gospel station is rising in in in the in the census and that's a positive because i tell you my brothers and sisters and i don't know how many of you have been witnessing this but i've been into some business places and i said to my wife how kind of nice that can i say that on radio what kind of is that because i hear some things and i i have a problem but thank god for gospel j.a that will come on and give you something soothing and you will hear something that speaks to your soul hallelujah mrs blair black i can testify that one wednesday morning i was coming here for our midweek service and fasting service and i was listening to you coming along all the way and i remember you making very special emphasis nevertheless and she spoke on that word for about half an hour and believe you me it lifts my spirit nevertheless you may be going through your difficulties and your trials nevertheless there is a god somewhere you may feel that you can't go any further but nevertheless keep holding on to your to god because he's going to come through for you that was a great source of inspiration that wednesday morning thank you thank you for speaking into my soul praise god and yes i'm going to do the pastoral prayer but let me do the comments before because one of the things i really look forward to when i have the time mrs winter is to listen to that interchange when markland is going to take over from avagay my god it sounds like other people love to listen to that sister stubbs you listen to to to markland and you're saying what i'm what that troublemaker won't leave that lady alone and and he picks her feathers and picks her pheasant but guess what avague is up to it she can manage yes she can manage she can stand her ground and she can stand up to markland yes yes so it tells you mrs winter we are tuning in amen amen amen praise god and so it's not only gospel j.a that we tune into but we tune into the portals of glory amen and so on earth here during this time when we need a sound from somebody else who has that responsibility to speak to us through the airwaves we tune in but can i tell you it's an opportunity now to tune into heaven because god is there ready and waiting he wants to speak to somebody's heart today he wants to do a miraculous activity in somebody's life we may have been carrying this pain for a long time there may be troubles and trials that have been buffeting us and have been keeping us under pressure but we come to our rock of ages today we come to our god that cares and understands oh i hear this someone has got you any rivers that see meth on crossable got you any mountains you can't tunnel through god specializes in things that seem impossible and he'll do for you my brother he'll do for you my sister out there in radio land and those joining us on the beerus platforms get ready god is going to do something supernatural right now in the name of jesus because we the people of faith we are going to raise our faith to another level and believe god today i'd like to say to us that as we go to the lord in prayer there are many of our members that have lost loved ones and many of our members have passed we can think of oh sister price who just went on about two weeks ago and our young sister that was baptized last year january she's gone on the mother of sister henry the the navy of sister robinson and i could go on and on they have all left planet earth but can i tell you that god cares he understands hallelujah and i step on enough to tell you that he can do for you what no other power can do there are many of our brethren that are sick in the hospital at home in the nursing homes and the need of visitation from god can i ask you to stand with me please as we go called me and he was crying because his wife that they just got married a few months ago she had a stroke and he had to stop from work to take care of his wife and talking about brother and sister hodges they may be listening in this morning i want that they just raised your faith right where they are now and believe almighty god with us hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah father we come to you in the name of jesus the name that is above every other name the name that caused demons to tremble but it's the same name that gives the believers a victory hallelujah lord we call on you today because you told us in your words that we should call on you and you will show us great and mighty things that we know not lord we remember that blind bag timos he was sitting by the roadside and he heard the crowd and questioned what was happening and he was told that jesus of nazareth is passing by and so he started to raise his voice because he had a need he needed the attention of almighty god he needed something miraculous to take place in his life and so he called out jesus thou son of david have mercy upon me we call on you from lindstead commodore this morning jesus thou son of david hear our call we have needs we have challenges we have problems lord it seems like everything is going in the wrong direction but in the name of jesus we call back our help we call back our joy we call back our peace in the name of jesus christ hallelujah gracious god you told us in your words that you will never leave us nor will you ever forsake us lord many of your children may be feeling forsaken they may be feeling lord that you are so far from them but we ask of you now to draw now your people come by in the name of jesus christ wrap your wounded hands around them and whisper a word of comfort and share lord you have done it before and we are believing you to do it again in the name of jesus christ of nazareth set somebody free release some pain from the bodies of your children bring back the joy that your children once had and continue to allow us to be able to shout glory to the name of the most high god father thank you for the team that is with us today gospel j.a oh they have been oh sounding the good word to our people and elsewhere in the name of jesus for the past 10 years lord we thank you we thank you for them we thank you for them lord when so many things negative are happening in our country today we need to hear a positive voice we need to hear the voice of god coming through the airwaves we need to hear god speaking to this nation jamaica and god you are using gospel j.a just for that purpose we accept your strength in their voice and that you will raise them to new heights and that they will continue to be the voice and the and the conscience of this nation as they seek to speak the saith god lord lay my hands upon this container with these requests that have been written by your people lord documents and may be enveloped here lord bottles of olive oil that may be contained here keys that may be in here i don't look and i can't see i don't want to but we invite you now to look down lord and not only to look down but to do the miraculous your children have expressed your faith in you and we know that there is no failure in you so right now in the name of jesus sprinkle some blood in this basket lord saturate it now so that as your people oh retrieve these things they will experience the power of the holy ghost because you have done the miraculous thank you now and may your name be glorified father we are about to worship you with the tithes and the offering that you have blessed your people with we pray now that you will receive it god you have provided streams of income and your people now are going to express their faithfulness and their thankfulness to you as they give back to your glory be please lord to receive these offerings and tithes and lord we are confident that your blessing will fall upon them and your people will be blessed to come back and to worship you even more in jesus name we pray and the people of god say amen come on somebody give a shout our praise in the house shall glory somebody somebody shout hallelujah glory glory glory to the most high god you may be seated and the praise team will now be leading us with that song that is on your program he will take me through and don't from the the team we have heard we have heard we have heard but can i tell you that there's something special for us to hear and that's the word of god hallelujah hallelujah we have been talking to ourselves from morning but we are not going to switch channels and we're going to tune in and to hear from god what he has to say to us there is a word from god there's a message for us today from almighty god and so the person to deliver that message is someone that has been very well known to us here at commodore he has been here in recent times and he's back today i'm speaking about the reverend orville plummer the reverend orville plummer was educated at the glenmuir high school jamaica theological seminary and the university of the west indies he is currently reading for a doctoral degree in leadership in higher education from the delaware state university reverend plummer is an ordained bishop of the new testament church of god and has served in a number of capacities over the past 26 years these include national camp director national teens ministries director pastor district overseer national director of youth and christian education director for not for ministerial care and development he presently serves as a national secretary treasurer of the new testament church of god and i can say here we are very proud of him and very happy for all that he has been doing reverend plummer is very happily married to paula a school principal who is teaching him a number of things they are the proud parents of three sons he is a justice of the peace a committed jamaican a passionate christian and a transformational leader my brothers and sisters after we are blessed with the ministry of brother gavrin campbell is saxophonist i ask you kindly to stand and receive our radio station in jamaica could you put him together for them [Music] so let me greet the management and the staff of gospel j.hey a particular our brother and friend wyatt casey davis i don't know if you know but why it was a pastor in the new testament church of god so great things come out of church of god including gospel j.a and i am disappointed markland because markland did not produce his birth certificate to show that he also is from new testament church of god and i am guest several other members of the team so in a sense reverend reed they are coming back home to celebrate this service amen i want also to greet the worldwide audience that are connecting to the service by the various media i am sure that persons all the way in timbuktu nairobi kenny and all those places are tuned in i know that some of my friends and colleagues and families i send a link to them and so i need some commission from the market in person because i know you have gotten some new listenership this morning so i will let my attorney speak to you on that pastor jeff the reed my good friend and colleague and his beautiful wife yvonne reed i am so happy to return to this spot of wrong i think i was the one who introduced you almost 10 years ago and i'm so happy to to um to come and share with you the officers the congregation and the members of this church i bring all of your greeting from our administrative bishop dr roy notice our national executive council and the entire new testament church of god we deem this at the national service because the new testament church of god is being broadcast nationally and internationally unfortunately my wife paula is joining with us in illinois chicago she's there on vacation and i also share her greetings i hasten to congratulate and commend gospel ja the name by itself is a hit i mean that's brilliant gospel j.a i mean your combined two of the most powerful brand in the world gospel and j.a i mean that is just no one there to grow and i want to comment them and i will maybe back in my sermon i'll talk a little bit i know about this station long time before it starts and we'll talk a little bit more maybe in the sermon but you are doing very well i'd certainly tune in um to you um very often and it must be said that in the last two of our national convention you broadcast it and i can tell you the third one is coming up in july i mean third since you're broadcasting and you can prepare for that one it's going to be bigger because the cove restriction is kind of coming out so we we're partnering so in a sense we don't formally um mr ceo and programs manager on the finance we have not formally signed the agreement for partnership but you have the new testament church of god as a partner as you spread the gospel and promote local talent i am so blessed and so proud something that the churches ought to return to which is authentic gospel preaching authentic gospel singing i don't want to get into chubby early in my sermon but we import too much gospels up too much gospel singing they are some authentic jamaican gospel you see when marquis will come up here think about it all the foreigners they want the authentic gospel and the authentic gospel music um this guy danny mcclurkin he don't go anywhere without singing jamaican gospel and so we lord gospel j.a for that wonderful move i i don't want to say it but it may it may work saying and you after those nuance the interpretation gospel ja is the ira fm of gospel in jamaica that's a good thing roots are authentic real and we want to commend the team for that i want to hasten um to speak a word to you your theme that you have selected today again there are some some brilliance over there resilient and commitment am i correct and committed resilient and commitment committed it's a call and the station is saying we are resilient and we are committed but we have to move that from the station the station is saying to the church you must be resilient and you must be what commit it touch somebody man i said resilient a socialist dancing so you haven't heard about him resilient and what a theme we want that in this time and i dare say um reverend wyatt markland and the rest of you this is not just a call by the station to the church is a call to the nation as a nation it is time for us to be what resilient come on somebody and be committed and we could just use one but to combine both is powerful will you stand with me as i share a passage of scripture and ask god to bless me as i seek to bless you and ask god to speak to me as i seek to speak to you first samuel chapter 30 verse 1 to 8. first samuel chapter 30 verse 1 to 8. are you there somebody are you there david and his men reached ziegler on the third day now the amalekites had ray the negev and ziklag they had attacked ziklag and burn it and are taken captive the woman and everyone else in it both young and whole they killed none of them but carried them off as they went on their way when david and his men reached ziklag they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and their sons and their daughters taken captive so david and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep david two wives had been captured adiom of jezreel and abigail the wife of nabal of carmel david was greatly distressed because the men were talking of storing him these i lift up a song i lift up a song to the lord i don't know what david was doing to encourage himself but i think he was reminded of some of the songs and some of the the hymns that he used to his mother taught him and some that he go upon and some of the prophecies that was upon him hello somebody in time like these when everything is coming at you you must go deep dog into god talk to me somebody you know why some of these young people can't manage they have no word they might sound like a pop conson no strong hymn i know that i grew up i understand so my nonsense when we think my something so he said lord shall i pursue shall i overtake i could see the lord said david a long time ago he asked me because david you shall pursue you shall overtake and you shall not only he asks god two things god give him tree and you shall recover all i am closing to say the big difference that we need now church is full of theory i preach and we like it and we got prior meet we like it but let me tell you something if you're going to be resilient if you're going to be committed you're going to take some practical things god tell david you must do some things practical you can destroy the zika by him you can destroy him just by fast in service talk to me you can't destroy him just by coming bible study you must pursue you must overtake and you must recover i say to this congregation i say to the wider audience built upon the commitment that we have with god built upon our worship experience it is time for us to come off our royal pasteur and start to do some work you direction to the enemy not that i'm gonna pursue i'm gonna use all the skills that god give me because i must overtake and i don't matter what the enemy comes with i don't matter how much army he has his shadow cabinet we pray oh god for the education system the agricultural system we pray for insight and vision cause this country god linkable tower oh god to be resilient and committed return us
