Sunday Service - The Needful Thing Pt 2

well father we thank you for this another opportunity to minister to these your precious sheep Thank You Lord that revelation knowledge will flow freely uninterrupted and unhindered by any satanic or demonic force and father I pray that you will speak through my vocal cords think through my mind I prayed none of me and all of you and it's in the wonderful mighty name of Jesus we pray father anoint me to do what I've been called to do to share this word to give understanding and to be a witness of your amazing grace we give you praise for this now and Jesus mighty name we pray and everybody said amen praise God well good morning and welcome to church if you have your Bibles go with me to the Book of Luke chapter 10 Luke chapter 10 and verse 38 we began a series last week entitled the needful thing and I want to continue that we want to deal with part two of that needful thing in Luke chapter 10 and verse 38 now this is gonna really bless you I'm gonna really challenge you I'm gonna really say some things that you need to really really watch out for I'm gonna bring to your attention that you don't want to crown your emotions as your God and give it priority in your life your emotions will deceive you if they are negative emotions and if you exchange your emotions for the Word of God you're going to end up in a pit in a place that's not gonna bring joy and and the promises of God in your life let's pick it up right now Luke 10:38 verse 42 verse 38 says now it came to pass as they went that he entered into a certain village and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house verse 39 and she had a sister called Mary which also sat at Jesus feet watch this and heard his word there was a lot of things going on but she sat at Jesus's feet and she heard his word but Martha was cumbered about much saying and came to him and said Lord does thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone bid her therefore that she helped me now look at how Jesus responded here and jesus answered and said unto her Martha Martha thou art careful and troubled about many things but one thing is needful and Mary have chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from her focus in on verse 42 and Jesus responded and said one thing is needful you see Martha was concerned about all of the trouble that was going on and all of the things she was full of care about and and all the things and the work that needed to be done and she was like saying listen why don't you get her to come and help me I mean all she's doing is sitting and listening to the word you know I hear that right now today you know it happening the word it's fine and getting going to church and getting the word it's fine but you need to you need to just you need to do something folks let me tell you something if you have wisdom before you do it then it's gonna work but there's something about the needful thing and jesus said mary has chosen the good part what did Mary choose she chose the word she chose to sit at the feet of Jesus and hear the word now I began to think why would God even allow this to be a part of the scriptures to begin to look at this illustration where Jesus himself said she chose the needful thing you know that's a powerful statement to say that one thing is needful are you kidding me that one thing is needful we like to say well it's alright to get into word but you got to do this as well no he said one thing is needful and that is the Word of God and that's what I want to show you I want to show you that you cannot replace the Word of God with anything else because if you lack God's Word then everything else is going to go lacking the one thing that's needed is that word I tell you the Bible is one of the most powerful it is the most powerful book in the Library of Congress because it is a living alive book it is a seed that is incorruptible seed and I'm telling you it is the needful thing what do we need right now during the pandemic we need the Word of God what do we need right now with with all the racial tension and and in justices that are going on in the world we need the Word of God what do you need when you're on your way to a divorce court and you can't figure out why you're about in your marriage you need the Word of God what do you need when you find that you got yourself hooked on something some addictive behavior and you're trying to figure out how to get there you need the Word of God and some of us would have died a long time ago some of us would have blew our blood brains out a long time ago had it not been for the Word of God what do you do when you're so depressed so broken so messed up and you don't know buddy there's one thing Jesus said that is needful and that one thing is the Word of God the Word of God that so many are trying to separate you from the Word of God that the devil is trying to use situations and circumstances to separate you from the Word of God that people are trying to declare is insignificant and it's not important and it's not you know all of that it's the Word of God it's the most needful thing praise God you show me a man who will go after the Word of God and I'll show you a winner praise God you show me a man who will go after the Word of God and I'll show you somebody that will end up victorious over any circumstances situation that he faces Jesus said one thing is needful and that is the Word of God now there's got to be a reason why he would say that why the word why is the word God the needful thing see a lot of things you won't but Jesus said that's one thing you need and I'm telling you right now church there's one thing you need and it's the Word of God rightly divide it skillfully taught the Word of God is what we need now go to proverbs chapter 4 20 and 27 now let's let's look at what the scripture says about the Word of God let's let's try to dis cover why Jesus was so intense about saying this one thing you need being the Word of God verse 20 he says my son attend to my words where here it is again he is saying give attention to my words now what has your attention more than the word of God who has your attention more than the word of God because he said give attention to my word attend to my word see whatever you attend to whatever you attend to the most is going to be the harvest that eventually shows up in your life whatever you attend to the most is the harvest that's going to be eventually show up in your life my son attended my words incline my ears unto my saying get your ear listen to the word let them not depart from thy eyes keep them in the midst of thy heart what is he saying he is showing us the avenue and the path to getting that word in your heart because your heart is the ground that will be responsible for growing the seed of God's Word and notice what he says he says guard your eyes guard your guard your your ears that those aren't gateways or interest is in to a man's heart what you hear the most what you see the most what you speak the most will enter into your heart and will be to determine the type of ground or heart that you have verse 22 he says for they those words are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh listen to that that the Word of God is life and health that the Word of God is life and health and the Word of God is life and health the word of the devil is death and sickness the words of the world are death and sickness but the Word of God is a life and health health to your flesh so it says that this word will have impact on your physical body that this word will have impact on your flesh come on verse 23 he says keep another translation says to guard now your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life here's what he said guard your heart from seed that will not produce life and health put a guard over your eyes put a guard over your ears put a guard over your mouth that's the interest into your heart and whatever gets in your heart is going to produce the issue of your life he says keep or guard your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life the issues that you are dealing with right now the issues of your life come out of your heart you're saying I'm a Christian I'm supposed to have peace where's my peace that issue is in your heart it's a heart issue I'm supposed to be healed where's that issue it's in your heart I'm supposed to have self-control what's going on the issue is the issue of your heart he said guard it what are you allowing to get into your heart verse 24 he says put away from the froward mouth or a disobedient mouth put away from the perverse lips put far from the verse 25 let my eyes look right on and let my eyelids look straight before thee and then in verse 26 and 7 he says ponder the path or meditate on the path of thy feet and let all that ways be established he says turn not to the right hand onto the left remove thy foot from evil here he is saying and he's looking at the word as and your heart like a farmer does he says here's the word attend to it get it in the ground of your heart and it will produce the issue of life it will produce the issue of life in fact colossians chapter 3:16 talks about how we should you know get the word richly the bible says let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom seal in the word of Christ dwells in you richly you're gonna have wisdom what is wisdom knowing what to do when you don't know what to do and I know there are situations in all of our lives where we were clueless on what to do how do we handle this I mean we're writing in the middle of a pandemic what do I do especially if you lost your job especially when you don't know how to pay the rent all your money's spent a little bit to buy some food baby neither pass shoes look you got like bill do you got a gas bill too you need wisdom wisdom is knowing what to do and you don't know what to do and there's something about allowing the word to dwell in you to live in you in abundance and to live in you richly why so when you get to those places in your life where you don't know what to do you have wisdom that will rise out of the ground of your heart now look at mark chapter 4 let's go to mark chapter 4 why would Jesus say there's one thing you need and he said it's the word it's the word far too long we've let you know the word we keep finding excuses to not get in the word we've we've even used the excuse that well you know Jesus is a white man so you are not to get into words I don't know what color you was I really don't care all I know if this word works this word works this word works it worked for your Grandmamma gnam it worked for your mom and them it worked for a civil rights movement of the past it's this word works this word works and you got to be careful not to give attention to all of these excuses for not getting in the word somebody says well the Bible contradicts itself it contradicts itself to people who don't know how to read it it contradicts itself for people who don't know how to rightly divide it it contradicts except for people who don't know and understand the dispensations of the Bible it doesn't contradict itself at all for people who know how to rightly divide the word of truth so you got to be careful of what you're hearing you got to be aware of the number of of schemes that are out there and fables that are out there that are trying to get you away from the only thing that can really help you and it's that it's God's Word it's God's Word I mean we're living in a time of a people don't want to hear God's Word we live in an assignment data even in church people don't come to church to hear God's Word they want to hear a show they want to hear they want to hear a bunch of Holland and screaming with no with no explanation with no understanding and then you go out and what we're doing is practicing church but we still don't know God's Word and we still don't know him because in order to know him you got to know his word in the beginning was a word that was with God and the Word was God and that word became flesh and it dwelt amongst men don't fall for the trick don't fall for the trick this word is from God this word is eternal this word will work this word will produce this word is alive don't file from the trick don't fall for the trick this word is from God inspired by God now let's look at mark chapter four verse 14 again this started off with a comparison of four different types of ground and I want to show you today that is not the seed you have to be worried about it's the ground your heart is the ground when you look at these these symbolic representations your heart is the ground it's not the seeds you got to be worried about not God's Word is incorruptible seed you'll never have to worry about the seed it's the ground it's your heart and Jesus gives a parable using natural farming and talking about natural seed and when it goes into ground that's not prepared Jesus starts off and he says three times they sold a seed and didn't get a harvest and only one time they sold to see when they sold it in good ground and they got a harvest now watch what he says here in let's start off in mark chapter four let's look at verse three he said hark and behold that went out of sword or so so he's using a physical natural illustration of a farmer bit getting ready to put seed in the ground and it came to pass as he sold some of that seed fell by way side and the fowls of the air came and devoured it notice what happened they sold some seed into wayside ground it did not yield a harvest the files of the birds came and they devoured it up she just calls you so doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna reap if you don't saw it in the right type of ground verse five and some fell on stony ground where it had not much earth the Bible says while the earth remains seedtime and harvest won't cease he says some fell on stony ground where it had not much earth and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth in earth but when the Sun was up it was scorched and because it had no root it withered away so the second time he sold into the second ground no harvests so far no harvest verse 7 and some fell among thorns and the thorns grew up and choked it and it yielded no fruit third turn third time he sold in the ground no harvest so three times we see people we see the farmer sowing but he didn't get any harvest because the harvest is gonna be based on what type of soil what type of ground you saw it in and then in verse eight and some fell on good ground and it did yield fruit that sprang up it increased and brought forth some 30 60 100 fold so harvest comes because you sowed it on good ground and then Jesus goes on in verse 11 he says and he said unto them unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God a mystery of the kingdom of God but unto them that are without all these are done in parables alright and then he goes down to verse 13 and he said unto them know you not this parable and how then shall you know all parables jesus said if you don't understand this one parable that I'm talking to you about right now how in the world are you going to understand any other parable this is the granddaddy parable of them all and this parable is a parable about sowing something into the ground making sure the ground is good so it can yield a harvest now most of you would think well he's talking about money I'm not talking about money right now I'm talking about life I'm talking about this is how the kingdom of God works and so now he's gonna break it down to his disciples because his disciples got with Jesus and said listen you explain to us what you would that parable that you were teaching on and then Jesus in verse 14 begins to explain watch this he said thus or soweth the word thus or soweth the word the sower soweth the word so bearing fruit is never a problem with the seed but with the soul it falls on the sower soweth the word look at 1st Peter chapter 1 20 three let's find out what the Bible has to say about the word the Bible even compares the Word of God to seed but look at what he has to say here first Peter chapter 1 and 23 he says being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible seed by the Word of God which liveth and abideth forever so he refers to the Word of God as incorruptible seed the Word of God is the incorruptible seed it is the only seed that is so pure in nature that it can never be destroyed it can never be damaged by any external condition to stop it from producing fruit that's powerful the incorruptible seed of God's Word it is seed that can never be destroyed it is seed that will always produce but the issue of getting what's in the seed is gonna be based on what type of ground you put it in man's heart is the ground for the Word of God which is incorruptible seed the Word of God at work the Word of God will produce the Word of God will never be damaged or destroyed but the Word of God will sometimes fall on ground that can not produce the question is how's your heart how's your heart what's in your heart what's the impact in your heart the entire kingdom of God depends on God's Word the it depends on God's Word and and and it come to pass in your life healing come to pass in your life success coming to pass in your life peace coming to pass in your life although that's going to depend on the kind of heart you got what kind of heart do you have the issues of life come out of your heart so it says what do you mean what kind of heart don't have well what have you been putting in it what what have you been putting in it if you haven't been putting the Word of God in it what have you been putting in your heart and when I sold the Word of God seed is it gonna be choked up because your heart's full of care if I saw the Word of God into your heart yeah is it is it not it's gonna fall around a bunch of thorns because you got issues that you won't let go of your broken in your life you won't deal with that brokenness you keep making excuses and I said before excuses they're nothing but reasons for not wanting to do something hey man you wanna come to church tonight well well I'm gonna try but I got let's just say you don't want to excuses are nothing but nails used to build houses of failure and you've got to understand that your heart determines what happens in life the problem is not the words not working the problem is is your heart is not good ground to receive the Word of God and I know that's strong but but look at this look at this mark chapter 4 verse 14 through 20 look at this he goes on here and he says let's read on down a little bit so sort the word these are they by the wayside where the word is sown but when they have heard look Satan comes immediately taketh away the word that was sown in their heart why in the world would Satan be coming immediately to take the word away we know buddy says he says I'm sowing the word in your heart right now you know Satan's gonna be coming immediately trying to come up with ways to try to take it out of you what's gonna happen the rest of the day after this sermon after the benediction what Satan's coming immediately Satan's coming Satan's coming something says why is he coming to me I'm done done wrong see he's already got those folks he's coming for people who are getting the word he's not coming to people and try to get them there's nothing to take from you if you're just getting emotional in church and you're not getting a word but when you submit yourself to getting the Word of God Satan comes immediately why to take the Word of God away why is he so concerned about getting this word what's this and these are they likewise which are sown on what stony ground who when they have heard the word immediately they receive it with gladness but they don't have any root in themselves and so endure but for a time afterwards when affliction or persecution arises for the words say oh the trouble you experience always try and get the word affliction and persecution trying to take the word from you do you not see this do you not see this it's affliction and persecution coming to try to take the word from you the the kingdom of darkness knows that it has no defense against the Word of God being sown into a heart of a believer who received that word and so he'll use persecution he will use trouble and tribulation to try to get that word out of your life verse 17 and have no root in themselves and so endure before a while afterwards when affliction and persecution arises for the words sake immediately they are off ended they take the word off and they end the process of that scene growing these are they which are sown among thorns such as hear the word and the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the lusts of other things entering and it chokes the word and it becomes unfruitful you are so cluttered you're so full of the care and full of the worry and full of anxiety and anxious and you're full of those things nothing can grow in your heart Wow and then look at verse 26 he says so is the kingdom of God well what is the kingdom of God he says this as if a man should cast seed in the ground and should sleep and rise night and day and the seed should spring and grow up he knoweth not how for the earth bringing forth fruit of herself he says it's gonna come up like this first the blade then the ear and after that the full corn in the air he says so you know don't don't don't know don't don't give up don't cave in and quit it's coming but when the fruit is brought forth immediately he put a sickle to the he put a put into the he put it in the sickle because the harvest has come and they look at verse 30 and 32 we're on to shall we liken the kingdom of God or with what comparison shall we compare it it is like a grain of mustard seed there it is again which when it is sown in the earth is less than all the seeds that be in the earth but when it is sown it groweth up when it is sown it groweth up when it is sown it groweth up when it is sown it groweth up what is it that you're talking about a complaining about not having has it been sown when the Word of God his song it grows up when the Word of God is sown it growth up when the Word of God is sown it groweth up he says and becometh greater than all the herbs and shoot without great branches so that the files of the air may lodge under the shadow of it hallelujah this is so so so very power the kingdom of God understanding the kingdom of God understanding the kingdom of God operates just like a farmer operates seed got to go in the ground it's got to get into good ground and then a grow harvest look at first Corinthians 4:20 look at first Corinthians 4 and 20 hope I'm not talking too fast but when I get excited about trying to get a message or teaching to you I get a little a little excited I want you to understand this and all you're getting get what understanding verse 20 says for the kingdom of God is not in word but in power and I looked at that said now wait a minute now what are you talking about it's not in word I mean I just read an entire chapter where it is in word well the passion translations reads like this for the kingdom realm of God comes with power not simply impressive words let me read that again for the kingdom realm of God comes with power not simply impressive words oh my goodness the kingdom of God is not just people speaking impressive words the kingdom of God is the ability to get results the kingdom of God operating in our lives when we know what we're doing it will bring results into our lives sowing a seed into our lives spending time with that seed and watching things change and watching things grow we need to ask ourselves this one question and this is so very important man you know and well hold on it at just for a moment yeah many people have concluded that the Word of God is no longer significant for our day and time many people have they've concluded it's no longer significant they people treat the Word of God like it's insignificant that there is actually something better or greater than God's Word and I'm telling you it's not it's not far the day in time it's not for our problems they say it's not ultimately they're saying it's not for our lives how do we get there how do we get there what hat what happened in the lives of people to bring them to a point where the Word of God no longer holds the significance that it used to hold the significance that it held with their parents and their grandparents the significance that it held with with people in our history that the only way they made it out was by the word of the Lord the word of the Lord that kept coming to Harriet Tubman that gave her the wisdom necessary to do what she did I mean what happened that we now we now declare that God's Word is has no more significance I've even heard people people say things like Bible study is all right but we must do something that really that's really gonna help that disturbs me Bible study is fine get into Word is fine but we need to do something that is really going to help and so what they're really saying is that getting in the word is it's sweet it's sweet for you to get into word but it's it's it's not really going to get results that's what they're saying oh it's sweet that we're getting into where oh it's all right to get into word brother dollar but I don't I don't believe that's gonna get results so we need to do this and do that and do that Oh baby your emotions have deceived you look what the Bible says in Matthew chapter 6 33 I'm gonna read it out of the King James and the New Living Translation the kingdom of God operation on this earth is one of the most powerful things operating on the earth and he didn't say seek all these things to do first and make the word insignificant he said in verse 33 seek ye first the kingdom of God how do I seek the kingdom of God by seeking that word by getting that word in my eyes and my ears by planting it in my heart seek first the kingdom of God what does God's words have to say about this what is the Word of God have to say about a pandemic what is the Word of God have to say about sickness and disease where's the word have to say about lack what does the word have to say about the spirit of division and racism what word have to say about when it nothing about racism yes it is yes it is Jesus confronted racism when he dealt with the Samaritans and and he said foxes have holes birds they're having this but the son of man has nowhere to lay down his head and he that's why he said that's why we went to the next city because the Samaritans and the Jews there was a division between them he the woman at the well that was another racist point where they couldn't go straight it was a lot quicker route to that place but they had to go around it he confronted it there the Greeks and and then and the Jewish people and the Jews and the Gentiles and it is all over the place even the ten lepers that He healed one of them came back and he was a Samaritan and he bowed down and worshiped Jesus that was unheard of man what are you doing the Word of God what does the word have to say what does the word have to say about your marriage was the word have to say about your parenting what does the word have to say about being treated unfairly what does the word have to say there's power in God's Word there's favor that operate on your behalf if you seek first the kingdom seek God seek His righteousness seek to declare that I'm the righteousness of God seek your righteousness you are the righteousness of God and you have the wisdom of God you are the righteousness of God and you have the wisdom of God say that with me I am the righteousness of God and I have the wisdom of God amen and then he says if you will put the word first place if you will put the kingdom first place then all other things that be added unto you so if you put the word first place he'll add the action you put the word first place he'll tell you exactly what to do when to do it how to do it you give the word for but what we do is we go out and do what we want to do and then when it when it fails then we go to God oh god help me oh god help me oh god help me and guys like man I had the plan see we we're taking things to God and we're saying you know you know God I got a good idea but then when the good idea doesn't work now you recognize you needed a god idea no let's start with God first let's start with God first God should not be a second thought God should not be somebody you know where we didn't did everything we know to do where there's always proud no he needs to be at the top of your priority list the word needs to be at the top of your priority list Jesus needs to be at the top of your priority list you're not going to know real success until Jesus is at the top of your priority lists you know there so so many things that compete for our attention and our devotion our job competes for our attention and our devotion our children compete for our attention and devotion our spouses compete for our attention hobbies compete for our attention the demands and the distractions of life they compete for our attention we have to be careful not to let them become more important or more of a priority than the word and our relationship with God and yet how many of the things that occupy our time occupy our money occupy our thoughts and situations have taken the place where God is supposed to be what it's taking God's place God used to be the top priority and you've replaced him with something else or somebody else God used to be the top and you know what happens you know what it's called when you take god from the top and replace it with something or someone else it's called idolatry and we're living in a world full of idolatry where God is no longer first place anything can become a god to us you got to be careful about that what are you crowning as your as your God your feelings and your emotions can become a God if you allow them to control you are your emotions controlling you are your feelings controlling you you know I say this quite often that a man who does not control his emotions is the weakest man on the planet yeah you can emotions were not given to you to control and govern your life you're supposed to have authority over your emotions your emotions not supposed to have authority over you and I can't tell you the number of people who are in jail right now because they couldn't control their emotions the number of people who are dead right now that couldn't control their emotions the number of people who lost a good job because they couldn't control their emotions and your emotions let you instead of your emotion being subject to you have you crowned your emotions as your god as your leader you know God was there but now he's no longer there anymore God was there but you've replaced him with someone or something we've got to begin to look at this we need to ask ourselves am i bowing down to God and His Word or am i bowing down to my emotions and my feelings you got to understand this folks we're not fighting against flesh and blood this is not a flesh and blood fight look at Ephesians chapter 6 verse 10 and 8 we're not fighting against flesh and blood there is something deeper it's the devil it's demons it's something deeper you know when you deal with racism you're dealing with a demon spirit of division and he likes it that's what he's been using for centuries you know there's some truth to divide and conquer he's been using it centuries the scripture says that a house divided against itself will not stand there's something deeper and we cannot ignore the root to all of this and that's why the church has got to get on it man you can't ignore the root to all of this everybody's called to do their part and our part is to deal with that root that demon of division that that's taken a hold of people and possess people to the point what they would just kill somebody it's a demon a house divided against itself cannot stand where there is envy and jealousy and strife there is that there's division in every evil work this is not a flesh battle you can fight a battle with flesh killing everybody you think that's got the problem and you still got those demons that are gonna be the root to all of those issues but we can control that here's what the scripture says if you are a Bible believer if you're not you need to start believing what are you gonna do what are you gonna do you going around I don't believe and then one day one day the rapture takes place and right in front of your face everything you didn't believe evidence is given to you you go doubt one day I don't know how you're gonna die one day you think you just you think using I'm dying that's gonna be it that's not gonna happen brah what I don't believe in God with Jesus ain't nothing but a weakling and all that you better watch yourself you're gonna die one day we don't have to debate about anything because the truth is gonna be seen by you every knee will bow every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord this thing is getting ready to wrap up Jesus is getting ready to come back you're going to see it for yourself and people don't think about that you think you just got all forever to live you go around where this my life I can live it like I want to and there's a path that seems right but the end the end thereof is destruction it seems like this is the right thing to do it feels like this is the right thing to do and then you get down there you did and you're in a burning hell trying to figure out how you got there listen to some food the Bible says the fool says in his heart that there's no God the guy that says in his heart there is no God he's a fool you're listening to a fool how many fools are you allowing to lead your life what are we gonna do man we're gonna this thing's getting real it's getting real things are changing they're not like they used to be people don't think like they used to think you know act like they used to act and you know the Bible talks about a great falling away is this it is this the great falling away I'm not gonna fall away and I know world changes nation ween falling away we in this to stay we will stay in this we're gonna fight in this if we got to fight by ourselves which we know we're not have to but we're gonna stand as their Christians all around the world that God is preparing and God is teaching and God is anointing for a time such as this praise God and I'm telling you you're gonna wake up one day and the mighty men of valor those who God have tucked away for a time such as this the very remnant of God is getting ready to step out praise God to show that devil who thinks he's winning right now you know I don't take God a long time to turn things around praise God and you better get ready i prophesy that there's gonna be such a mighty move of God this move of God will be greater than any move that's ever happened on the planet take every move that's happened on the planet and this move of God will will be better than all of those combined together why because God Himself will allow his glory and his presence to fall upon this nation and people are coming to repentance even today you watch you watch you watch people are coming to this whole thing right now man this thing's gonna lead to the greatest revival ever the pandemic praise God that the the inequality and racism and there's other things gonna happen the weather is gonna play its part in there and and food crisis is gonna play his part in there and and then they're there this is just the beginning of Sorrows you ain't seen nothing yet but God will be glorified and his love will be seen and the power of His Majesty the King will be displayed and signs and wonders will feel the earth and there will be clear evidence that our God is God and then you will come and you will know the glory of the Lord will fill this earth like the waters of Noah filled the earth when it was flooded you watch what I say God manifesting his self on this planet and it shall be done oh yes it shall be done look at mark chapter 6 mark chapter choose me Ephesians chapter six I'm gonna show you Satan is behind and is the motivator of a whole lot of things look what he says in verse 10 finally my brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might verse 11 put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the tricks of the devil the wiles of the devil the armor of God you'll find out at the end of this these verses it's the Word of God put on the armor of God it's the Word of God now watch this he said next verse for we wrestle not against flesh and blood this is not a flesh and blood battle we wrestle not against flesh and blood but our wrestling is against principalities that those are demon forces it's against powers those are demon forces rulers of the darkness those are demon forces of this world against spiritual wickedness in high places those are demon forces so he says that our battle is not against the human the human being the human world it is against the spiritual demonic world that's where the battle needs to take place and he said wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that you may be able to withstand the evil day and having done all to stand stand therefore having your loins gird about with truth and having on the breastplate of righteousness you know what he's saying he's saying put on the Word of God get that word of God on man that you'll be able to stand and he says and after and after you've done everything you don't do to stand he says stand stand therefore until you get what you're standing there for and it says and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace that's the word of God above all taking the shield of faith wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked how does that work you got the shield of faith here you're standing on God's Word and a contradiction comes like an arrow he says stick your shield up say I ain't receiving that I'm sticking with the word and you're standing on and then another contradiction come and you said now I won't receive it he says put your shield of faith up put it up in your mind don't receive all of the fables and all the stuff that's coming he says and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God it's all the Word of God praying take the word when you pray take the word with you when you pray praying always with all prayer and supplications in the spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for All Saints now it's the time now it's the time Satan is behind and is the mediator he's the a mediator of all bad he's the one behind all the sickness all the pain he's behind all the hurt Satan's behind all the division he's behind all the hatred he's behind all the racism he's behind the pandemics he's behind all the death he's behind all the strife he's behind all the envy the Bible says the thief comes to kill steal and destroy but Jesus says I have come that you might have life and have it what more abundantly so when people refuse to honor God and follow God's wisdom in their decisions it causes them to become bogged down with worry resentment and bitterness because they refuse to honor God eventually it shows up as sickness and disease in their bodies and in our culture this kind of behavior causes a decline in our moral standards and our moral attitudes but in Christ we have life and we have it in abundance so what has to happen now well you know how important a word is you're not got to get you got to get the word and watch this and you got to believe it you got to get the word and and believe it you got to believe the promises the fear that Satan the number one fear that Satan is gonna put on your life is the fear that what the word promises won't come to pass so you got to get that word and you got to believe that we're go to Hebrews chapter 4 for two three and eleven Hebrews chapter 4 2 3 and 11 now you got to believe it now you got to believe it so you've got to understand you will never be able to legislate morality you can you can make you can make millions of laws but it will never legislate morality the only one that can change a man's heart is the Holy Spirit he's the only one that can change a person's heart it's the word of God the Holy Spirit a word of God the only thing changing a man's heart so thank God for the legislation that I believe will be coming forth but I'm searching we got to rise up we got to rightly divide the word and we got to walk in love we got a demonstrate how it ought to be amen now watch what he says here he says for unto us was the gospel preached as well as unto them but the word preached did not profit them not being mixed with faith in them that heard it check that out know where it was preached but they got no profit cuz they didn't believe it they got no profit because they didn't mix it with faith so I said yeah I heard that I heard that in my Grandmama's Church yeah but you never believed it yeah yeah I heard pastors I've told my daughter yeah but you didn't believe it when you hear the word you believe the word you receive the word look what he says verse 2 where verse 3 he says for which for we which have believed do enter into rest now that's the key the authenticity of whether or not you believe something is gonna be based and determine on whether or not you've entered into rest when you've entered into rest you cease to labor you believe it so much that you chill you rest but we which have believed do enter into rest as he said as I have sworn in my wrath if they shall enter into my rest although the works were finished from the foundations of the world he what he's saying he says when you really believe this word you'll start resting on it and so when everybody else is full of stress you're not you're at peace when everybody else is walking in fear you're not because you're you walking in faith you believe the word and that's the issue in today's time people don't believe the Bible they have found every way to be critical of it because of their lack of understanding of it their lack of understanding how to rightly divide it and so it's just become an insignificant book because people don't understand it but I'm telling you those of you who know how to rightly divide it and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you and to submit yourself to fivefold ministry gift the Apostle the passive the Prophet the teacher and the Evangelist and get that word on the inside of you then the day you believe it is the day you arrest look at verse 11 the day you believe it is the day you arrest let us labor therefore to enter into that rest lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief he says the reason why the real reason why you're not at rest is because you don't believe it that's why it's like I said the reason why you're making excuses because you just don't want to do it the reason why you haven't entered into that rest is because you don't believe it because they that believe enter into the rest they that believe enter into the rest the highest kind of faith is entering into the rest a place of calm and peace and ease where you are confident about knowing that that word is true and you believe it and you receive it and you stake your life on it you believe that you receive it you stake your life on it I've been in that situation before man it's like oh right you have cancer and I'm like God what do I do and then he shows me what to do and had I not known just that little bit they just say you had cancer and I would have not went to God and I was just did what everybody else did and be dead by now I'm not ever stepping away from the word never ever ever will I ever agree with you that I should step away from the word and you may never ever ever agree with me but I'm standing on the word I stake my claim right here on God's Word and I'm sticking with it and I'm gonna rest and I'm not gonna I'm not gonna you know my hair gonna all fall out and I'm not gonna no no no I am at rest even in the midst of turbulence time even in the midst of a pandemic I refuse to come out of my wrist that's why the Bible says labor therefore the rest so that means some days I may have to get up and make a little extra more confessions or I may have to focus a little bit more on what I believe or I might have to just go at ease and just be at peace but I am NOT I am NOT going to spin my piece I'm not gonna do it listen if it costs me my piece it's too expensive I'm not gonna do it I believe God I believe God I believe God I believe God I believe his word I believe God and his word are the same and I believe that in the midst of a pandemic I believe that in the midst of confusing times I believe that in the midst of injustice I believe God's Word and I believe that from God's Word will come all of the answers to all of those things it's interesting to me that people look at other people and wonder well why are you not going through that how did you get that to happen in your life why are you living this way and then sometimes people want to shame you out of the success that you've gotten from the Word of God from the seed of God's Word because they don't they don't know how to do it themselves so the only thing they're left to do is to get in their self-righteousness and shame you for the success that you have ain't dealing with that I'm gonna stay with God's Word to the day I die I'm staying with God's Word well I tell you what I just don't believe that's that's between you and God I do and I'm gonna stick with his word and I pray you do the same thing it will be to your advantage you meditate on that word until you enter into rest meditate in it ponder that word if I'm ever having problems believing the Word of God I go on a fast I go on a fast and say no no no my mind will line up with the word of God I'm not gonna operate in this kind of unbelief I'm not gonna do it I believe God's Word and I'm gonna meditate in that word and ponder that word the Bible look at first Timothy chapter 4 15 I'm running out of time but first Timothy chapter 4 15 something about meditating that word of pondering that word spending time with the word we spend time with everything else like I said you probably up more you probably have heard more news than you've heard the Word of God and you're wondering why your stress but you won't get in the word because you don't believe it and so you're trying to replace the word of God with something else that will never do you like the word ever and you'll die in deception look what he says verse 15 meditate upon these things give thyself wholly to them that by profiting may appear to all I'll tell you one thing you start meditating on this word and then you start the profit of that word begins to show up in harvest in your life and everybody starts saying it what in the world have you done you tell them men I'm favored by God I'm speaking with God I'm gonna be content when it's good I'm be content when it's bad I'm gonna be content when I'm full I'm gonna be content when I'm not full I'm gonna learn how to be content because I trust God enough and I am gonna be happy and satisfied on my way to the next level trusting God and believing God amen praise God look at look at Psalms 1 & 2 I think about this a lot very rarely share this but this is so true for right now he says but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law doth he meditate day and night now there he was referring to the law but we're referring to this covenant of grace meditating on it pondering it rolling it over in your head over and over and over now I said something during communion I want to say it again I want you to look at John 19:30 and then Revelation 16 17 we've got to start seeing our needs already done we've got to start seeing our needs already met we've got to start seeing and celebrating the solution Jesus is on the cross he is now giving his life shedding his blood so that everything will ever need will be done if you ever sick healing is available take it by faith if you ever need to be delivered deliverance is available take it by faith Jesus on that cross supply it for us everything we'll ever need in verse 30 says and when Jesus therefore had received the vinegar he said it is finished and he bowed his head and he gave up the ghost but notice what he said it is finished he bowed his head and he gave up the ghost he said it is finished and then heaven responded in revelation 16 and 17 and the seventh angel poured out his vial unto the air and there came a great voice out of the Temple of Heaven from the throne saying it is done on the earth jesus said it is finished from heaven God said it is done now what will you say what will you say I say it's finished I say it's done I say my deliverance is finished I say my healing is finished I say my peace is a finished work I say my salvation is a finished work I say my righteousness is a finished work I say my Redemption is a finished work my sanctification is finished that I will no longer struggle to try to get what Jesus has successfully done and made happen seek the word don't make it insignificant it is the needful thing one thing you need it's the Word of God don't ever let somebody talk you out of it one thing is needful it is the Word of God if you're here with me this morning you've never made Jesus the Lord of your life you heard me you've never made him the Lord of your life you have that opportunity today to make him your Lord and personal Savior you don't have to go to bed get up the same you don't have to live your life to saying there is a god there is a Satan there is a heaven there is a hell there are demons there are angels wake up we need to wake up and we need to stay woke that when people try to deceive you that the word is no longer significant because a few folks taught it wrong or didn't understand how to rightly divide it well you never understood it so your conclusion was it doesn't work yeah it does get to that word don't allow your emotions to be your guide don't allow your emotions to deceive you to trick you seek God seek first the kingdom and everything else will be right behind if you want to make Jesus the Lord of your life I have to inform you that whatever you've put on the throne of your heart it's not gonna get the job done that empty space in your heart can only be filled by Jesus and you've tried to fill it with a lot of things you've tried to fill it with alcohol you've tried to fill it with sex you've tried to fill it with all kinds of ridiculous things and it won't work you've tried to fill it with other people you've tried to fill it with other things that spot in your heart is reserved for Jesus Christ why don't you invite him into your heart today to take that place in your life so that you can live and live more abundantly I want you to pray this prayer and repeat after me if you're serious about giving your heart to Jesus today Heavenly Father I believe that Jesus is the Son of God I believe he's the word made flesh today I declare that I am a sinner and I asked you to come into my heart and set me free from sin Heavenly Father I believe that Jesus died and was raised from the dead he shed his blood sacrificed his body so that all my sins could be forgiven right now I accept you Lord Jesus as my Lord and Savior come into my heart be my Lord and my Savior and I declare by faith right now that I am saved thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name Amen now if will play their part to do what they need to do as God has anointed them to do that as well well it's offering time it's the time for us to offer gifts to God from a heart of appreciation a heart of Thanksgiving and a heart of Honor like I said so many times that we don't give to get blessed we give because we're already blessed we don't give to get victory we we give because God's already given us the victory so our giving becomes a act of worship an act of appreciation an act of thanksgiving for what God has already done the Bible says that we give out of a cheerful heart a heart of gratitude a heart of Thanksgiving allow your giving to to cause you to remember all the good that God has done into your life and as you remember celebrate Jesus with that offering worship Him the Bible says you know that we come to the coming to the Lord with Thanksgiving and praise that we come to the Lord with a gift and give him glory that is due unto his name and we bow down and we worship Him and so father we worship you right now we worship you for the opportunity to give an opportunity to celebrate you an opportunity to worship you father and I pray and thank you for all of the good somewhere you are just unhappy go and have a Reese's peanut butter and Cup and go to bed and get up and feel you'll feel better if you get some sleep amen so we want to participate in this we believe that you know this is something that we can do something that we prayed about that got put on our heart to do so we're focusing in on voting and and equal opportunity where housing is concerned so we'll talk a little bit more about that as we go forward so make sure you vote first of all make sure you vote on Tuesday and these local elections are so very important we need to fill out the census right fill the census out so that the monies that are being you know divided up in communities will hit the the right communities especially the black communities feel that sense is out you can go
