I have a Past, But I don't live there

or that revelation knowledge will flow freely uninterrupted and unhindered by any satanic or demonic force fraud I pray that you will speak through my vocal cords and think through my mind none of me and all of you Lord Holy Spirit you are so welcome in this place we honor you tonight we love you we trust you and we depend on you father we declare that no one is greater than you are and let your magnificent shine through this word that your love being demonstrated tonight and let us receive it by faith we give you praise and honor for it now Jesus name we pray and everybody said amen come on let's give the Lord a big hand clap of praise amen I think I'm gonna preach on the floor tonight you can be still turning hook greet two or three of your neighbors and you can be seated [Music] amen which I'll press your way in didn't you thank you tonight I I've had this thing on my heart for a minute and I think I'll like I said this is the winds of the night where you come and do some cooking to see how I turn out right I said this before and I want to call this message this tonight I have a pass but I don't live there said out loud I have a pass but I don't live there now sometimes there are people in your life or around you who will try to do things to make you live in that past but say it again I have a past but I don't live there your pass does not have to poison your future your pass does not have to poison your future your past influences and I want to say this I don't make light of this but your pass influences you but it cannot define you your pass influences you up to a point but it cannot define you you are not your past say I am NOT my past said again I am NOT my past now I want you to go with me to the book of Philippians chapter 3 because she's like well why are you talking about this because I am finding that a lot of people are being paralyzed in their present never getting to their future because they're living in their past and the Apostle Paul said something that was so amazing Philippians chapter 3 and verse 13 and 14 I want to get right into this tonight and praise God don't not leak him right here praise the Lord testing it out now here's the Apostle Paul if you're not aware of his past he had a past and his past was full of persecuting the church it was one good he persecuted almost every Christian he was a very religious man he lived by the law and even was responsible for putting a lot of Christians to death I don't know if there's anything worse than apt to carry with you the responsibility of knowing that people are dead because of you and the Apostle Paul was talking about this grace and the things that he was learning and he says brethren I count not myself to have apprehended now when you talk about the word apprehend you're talking about grasping something you're talking about understanding something he says I've not I count not myself to have grasp the whole full understanding of this to understand or to grasp this whole thing he says but this one thing I do forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before verse 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus now again I want you to notice some of the things that Paul was dealing with here I want to start at verse 1 and just kind of read down the to this so you can get a real heartbeat of what was going on here he said finally my brother and rejoice in the Lord to write the same things to you to me indeed is not Grievous but for you it is safe verse 2 beware of dogs beware of evil workers beware of the concision verse 3 for we are the circumcision which worship God in the spirit and we rejoice in Christ Jesus and we have no confidence in the flesh verse 4 though I might also have confidence in the flesh if any other man think it that he had to wear of he might trust in the flesh he says if anybody would would do this he said I would and look at his qualifications for his five he says I was circumcised on the eighth day of the stock of Israel of the tribe of Benjamin he says I'm a Hebrew of the Hebrews as touching the law I'm a Pharisee for six concerning zeal persecuting the church touching the righteousness seven but what things were gain to me those I counted loss for Christ a yeh doubtless and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count but dung that I may win Christ as everything else was like dung that I can win Christ nine and be found in him not having my own righteousness which is of the law but that which is through the faith of Christ the righteousness which is of God by faith 10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the Fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable unto his death it's 11 if by any means I might attain under the resurrection of the Dead verse 12 not as though I had already attained either were already perfect but I follow after if that I may apprehend that for which also I'm apprehended of Christ Jesus verse 13 brethren I count not myself to have obtained or know it all or grasp at all he said but this one thing I do now that's a powerful statement out of everything he says this one thing I do I forget those things which are behind and I reach forth unto those things which are before now think about all of the things that he could have possibly said he did and in this verse of scripture I want you to notice these italicized words verse 13 brother and I count not myself to have apprehended now this and I do are in italicized they were added by the privilege of translators so I'm gonna read this without that Tyler sighs brother and I count myself to have I count not myself to have apprehended but one thing he says here's the one thing I understand I understand this one thing what was the one thing that Paul said he had apprehended through all of what he had gone through and he'd gone through a lot what's the one thing that he said that he understands forgetting those things which are behind and reaching to those things that are before now but everything that Paul went through he said this is the thing that I've come to understand you have to forget what's behind and reach to the things that are before you've got to do that and the reason why you have to do that is what I want to talk to you about tonight just in case you you kind of like don't pay attention to this and you say well amen I'll work at it I want to I want to put it to a place where it's vital because Paul worked at this thing it was vital that he could forget what's behind it's vital that you and I can forget what's behind if the enemy is going to attack in any area it will always be in this area of trying to tie you to what's behind nobody knows like you know what's behind they may even look at things and say that's not a big deal but they don't know how it impacted you how it infected you and how all of the different parts were involved in what was behind I don't need to know what's behind sometimes people come in my office they want to start well I don't need to know that I don't want to know that because Paul said I know this one I've understood and come to understand this one thing I have got to forget about those things which are behind and reach forth unto those things which are before now this conjunction word it's writ like this so that I can reach to the things that are before me I got to forget what's behind me so the things that are before you are going to be I mean tie to whether or not you reach them or not to whether or not you can deal what's behind you how many know people that are still rerunning that same tape everybody has gone forward and they still re running the same tape over and over and over again and so now the Apostle Paul begins to share some things here concerning reaching forth unto those things which are before ladies and gentlemen it is time now for us to stretch and to reach to the things that are before you've been hanging out in your past too long tonight I've come to tell you let's cut the cord you know when a baby is born you got to cut the cord it's time to cut the cord now the future is what's on the line here the future calling the future anointing the future assignment the future mission the soul that God has coming down your path just for you to mention just for you to minister to just for you to influence you don't know who could be coming down that path and what if you're not focused or you're distracted from your past that you miss your word define your divine appointment for your future there was a divine appointment for your future now I know some of you think my past is so bad surely God doesn't care about my future and surely there's nothing that he wants me to do because my past was so bad well I want to take you to that woman at the whale and I want to remind you what the scripture says that this woman went to the whale at noon noon was the hottest time of the day why because this was a scorned woman this was a a woman who was shunned because of the rumors there's woman who was Sean because of her sin because of her past because of her dealing with men because of her her sexual activities and and because she couldn't stay married and and sometimes wouldn't marry and then the the rumors kept getting bigger and they get there kept getting larger and and there was some person there that kept spreading the rumors to get bigger and to get larger to a point where she just didn't want to show up to get the water at the well at a time that would be convenient she would rather be in the scorching Sun to get it rather than after encounter all of those scorners and she was sean by that whole village around the same time Jesus is making a trip and says I've got to make a detour it is needful for me jesus said it is needful for me to make this detour and he comes to that well and he meets this woman and the woman was in sin when Jesus met her when I talked about her past sin she was in sin when Jesus met her and then Jesus shows up and tells her I know what you're doing I know what you've done the man you stand with right now is not your husband Jesus showed up to let her know I know your issues I know your past I know your future and I'm still here to call you to go and administer for me Jesus calls the shunned and just in case you think that your pass was so bad and that you can't be used you're a prime candidate for Jesus to summon to do something glory be to God for everybody who thinks that your past has messed you up and if you're being shunned and talked about and rumored about and you've kept your mouth closed Jesus is gonna show up at your whale hunting and he's got something for you to do and that woman the Bible says she left that place and told everybody she saw come see a man that told me everything that I've ever done and that that that evangelism on that woman gotta now here's what we would think we think Jesus will come and get the guy that's in prayer eight hours a day get the guy that's fasting get the guy that's walking perfect get the guy no no you don't understand my Jesus my Jesus says it's it's it's nobody qualifies he says whoever I call I qualified then I can call whoever I want to call now man might not think you qualify for the call but he's not the one that calls you God is the one that calls you and Jesus called that woman at the whale who was Shawn we got to get out of this this little thing where we're so self-righteous that we measure what we do with somebody else and then all of a sudden we're getting them in a worse position that we then we were before it is sinful for you to be self-righteous and measure and say what God can and can't do with somebody else's life you don't know what God got playing God I take the messiest nastiest speaking this thing and when he finishes with them make a masterpiece out of them and they'll go and change the world yeah that's good preaching right then so say this out loud God can use me and God will use me condition if you can leave your past if you can leave your past the only thing that will hinder the new thing the only thing that will put pressure on reaching forth to the things that our head is by somehow allowing yourself to stay behind look at Isaiah chapter 43 verse 18 through 19 Isaiah 43 verse 18 through 19 praise God now notice again what's on the line what's on the line hallelujah Isaiah 43 verse 18 and 19 he said remember you not the former things neither consider the things of old now let's listen to the instructions remember not or dismember from dismember yourself from the former things remember you not the former things neither consider the things of old see there's something about if you do that you're opening the door for the enemy to come in to try to hinder you from accomplishing the call of God on your life there's a Grace on everybody's life in here your grace to do something that I'm not grace to do I'm grace to do some things that you're not grace to do but we're all we have a grace on our line and the enemy wants to use your pass to try to cause affliction on your future but he says remember not the former things neither consider don't even consider God tells you to do something don't consider your pass don't consider your qualifications don't consider your education God already knows and then in verse 19 he says behold I will do a new thing now it shall spring forth shall you not know it I will even make a way in the wilderness and I'm gonna make rivers in the desert so whether you were in the desert or whether you were in the wilderness God says I'm gonna pave a path out of either one of those places and I'm telling you right now your path does not get the opportunity to tell you what you can or can't do in your future if you don't live there say out loud I have a pass but I don't live there I'm forgetting the former things I'll remember not the things of old now somebody says well well you know it's just looking I'm getting ready to show you how critical this is how critical it is for you to to understand your need to walk in something like this now go to Galatians chapter 2 and verse 20 God is gonna do a new thing in fact let me say it like this God is doing a new thing with you right now I say God is doing a new thing with you right now I say God is doing a new thing with you right now God is making a way in the wilderness right now God is making rivers in the desert right now I don't care how bad it is trust in the Lord he can make a way where there is no way amen but now notice the warning stay away from your past stay away from your pet when I brother dollar what if my past was good and I want to get inspired by you know that can even be dangerous because you'll get to a point where you become so satisfied with the victories of the past that you're not pursuing the victories in the future and you become satisfied with that well you know I did that one time and you know I experienced that did that done that and and gods like I'm not finished with you yet I gotten a lot I want to do in your future and you stuck on what you've accomplished in your past maybe some of you have done some great things in your past and praise God for that but you don't want to you know we don't want to hang around that it's time to go forward turning to people tell them that go forward most of the frustration most of the pain most of the stress is something that was connected to the past and this is not something that I meant I'm saying this voila it's like that yeah you're gonna have to you know discipline yourself to walk like this got to discipline yourself to cast some things down but I tell you one thing God believes in you I believe in you let's go ahead and tighten our belt up and go forward let's see what's in the future let's see what God can do with you that you didn't think he would be able to use you for you have limited yourself and in some cases you have limited God but there's some great things ahead of you praise God if you can disconnect from the past amen now let's look at Galatians chapter 2 verse 20 and 22 oh I'm going somewhere Galatians chapter 2 verse 20 and 22 now watch this I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not i but Christ liveth in me Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God the life that I now live I'm not looking at what I used to do before but the life that I now live I live by the faith notice why says this of the Son of God why didn't he say I live by the faith in the Son of God no he says I live by the faith of the son of God in other words I'm not living by what I used to live by I'm living by the faith of the Son of God well where do you get that whether you get the faith of the son of God from what you get every other thing you get it from the word Romans tins I believe 17 faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God we live by the faith of the Son of God or we now live by the word of God there was a time in our past we didn't live by the Word of God but we now live by the Word of God there was the time that you didn't handle things by the Word of God but that becomes this your standard now we now live by the Word of God this is our standard this is how we make our living we lived by the Word of God he says I live by faith of the Son of God who loved it who loved me and gave himself for me now here's how I also live I live by knowing that he loves me I live by knowing that he loves me you're not powerful that is there was a time in your past where you questioned whether God even cared anything about you you wonder where he was whether he was mad at you or not and I'm telling you right now that you live by the faith of the Lord of Jesus Christ you also have faith in his love for you you also have faith that he cares for you and when you know that God loves you then you can believe what God says to you see you've got to come out of the past and this is what you have to use when you when you begin to want to go back there a lot of times you guys say you know what forget that God loves me and I know it you know what he was raised from the dead for me and I know it every time that thought wants to go back there God loves me and I know it he resurrected for me and I know it and you got to remind yourself who you are under righteousness of God I've been redeemed because of what he's done now I live by the faith of Jesus Christ I don't live by my past I'm not my past I can't let my past identify me I got Allah who I am I'm in Christ that identifies me I when you make your mind up this is so powerful that when you know that God loves you Satan is gonna do everything he can to try to convince you that he doesn't and he only he only has to do is get you to go back and look at your past and try to judge where you are with where you've been you don't judge where you are where you've been you you look at where you are right now and you are in Christ Jesus which makes you righteous which makes you redeem which gives you wisdom which makes you holy which makes you sanctified because you're in Christ Jesus I have the faith of the son of God I get the faith of the son of God where I get it from the Word of God look at this 2nd Corinthians chapter 5:17 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 therefore if any man be what how many of you are in Christ tonight If any man be in Christ he is a what kind of creature he's a new creature so you're in Christ you a new creature what happened to old things what happened to the old things and behold all things are what they become new and all things are of God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ and hath given to us the Ministry of reconciliation ladies and gentlemen I've got an announcement to make to you you are not who you used to be you're going to have to receive that by faith you cannot judge what I just said by looking around or chicken about where you are right now if you're not careful your pass will damn your soul it will bring damnation to your soul you are going to have to be as diligent about reminding yourself of who you are like nothing you've ever done before and every time I thought comes in I'm not that anymore I'm the righteousness of God I'm not that anymore I'm the righteousness of God and Satan the lay off and when you come back you do the same thing that's the only way you're gonna pursue and go forward other than that it'll become a stumbling block now I think I've been repetitive enough to kind of sit somewhat of a foundation so that I can say some of the things that I think you you need to hear here let me let me go through one more scripture in Luke chapter 9 in verse 62 Satan wants to divide your focus he wants to divide your attention this is what this scripture is about here and Jesus said unto him no man having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God no man having put his hand to the plow now if you're plowing how many you know you need to make sure your focus so you can plow straight that's not an easy thing to do I remember when I was a kid I had this uh my uncle then uncle Charlie and I had an opportunity to get behind a mule and that thing you know take off all kinds of places I jumped off that thing and let them you just do what you need to do with it you know if you're gonna plow straight you don't have to stay focused and so what happens any man that puts his hand to the plow you can't be looking to the left you can't look to the right you definitely can't be looking behind or you will plant your plough you won't be straight and he is saying here that if you put your hand to the plow don't look back because when you look back it's about dividing your attention divided attention will result in failure looking back impacts your focus looking back impacts your focus and think about that for a moment you're focusing on what the call of God of your life you're focusing on you know the assignment you have you're focusing on the words you got last week you're focusing on you know trusting God in these particular areas and then something happens and all of a sudden you look back it's designed to interrupt your focus got to know how to play the game I'm looking right on I'm looking straight I got a single eye and the enemy all he can do is see if he can try to disrupt that single eye that single focus try to get you an unforgiveness try to bring up something in the past that made you angry that hurt you that was betrayal that all those kind of things all of those things they're games of the enemy have you ever noticed if you're just sitting around you can be in perfect peace and then something pops in your head and it happens to be from the past and it robs you of a perfect day a day of focus a day of praising the Lord and worshiping God and Lord thank you for clearing my throat of a day I knew I'd be all right once I just got our hands to start preaching this is my kitchen praise the Lord use you in it and it's trying to stop you for folk because whatever you focus on the most that's what you're gonna see coming to pass in your life Satan is not concerned about 101 what he is concerned about one vision but would think he'll do to try to mess up the one vision you have is to try to give you another vision and cause you to have two visions or division focus don't look back it'll try to rob you of your focus mmm let's look at first Timothy chapter 1 first Timothy chapter 1 verse 12 this is a good lesson for any Minister in the house being Kimmel talking about this morning when you get a congregation and they quiet down like this that's that's good that's good don't try to build your ministry on responses you're gonna mess up are you gonna be doing in the clapping are you ain't saying none that mean they don't have to be quiet because you ain't saying nothing but when you can get them quiet and they focus and then lick listening and they looking at the Scriptures wondering what's getting ready to say next or you in their night man yes a man you ready to rock and roll eh now look at this first first Timothy chapter 1 verses 12 through 16 and I think Jesus Christ our Lord who has enabled me for that he counted me faithful putting me into the ministry this is Paul who was before he says I was a blasphemer cleaner I was a persecutor in Juris but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief and the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus this is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting Paul said look at what happened look at my pass but also look at the grace of God for every one of your past issues there's a grace of God and like Paul he had to receive this and he had to believe this as something that was absolutely the truth let me show you one more and then I'll get started preaching Isaiah 43 no seriously you know I got to lay a good foundation Isaiah 43 and this time I want you to look at verse 25 and 26 praise the Lord praise the Lord ladies and gentlemen get ready for the fight of your life in these next three weeks because I think in July some getting ready to happen and a key I saw a key going into an ignition and it was turned hallelujah hold on hold on a few more weeks child of God hold on hold on tight pray a little bit more than what you're praying confess a little bit more what you're confessing call things that be not as though they were praise the Lord recognize that it's not about you it's about the vision it's about souls it's about the message Satan is attacking legacy he wants to try to figure out how do I stop this thing from going any further down the line hallelujah and I don't know about you but when he decides to get violent I'm gonna get violent it's called violent faith and when you get violent in your faith that means you just get consistent with it and you just start knocking and knocking and that's how water can can can it can eventually break down a brick because it may not do it right away but it keeps dripping and keep dripping to keep dripping until it causes erosion in that place and I'm just asking you to get intense and I'm asking you to just just get intent about who you are get intense about about what God called you to do it can fall on your face if you wake you up at 3:30 going get up and get in that word pray in tongues a little bit more pray in tongues when you're riding and got nothing else to do instead of allowing yourself to to be captured by the tricks of the devil rise up in the authority that Jesus has already given you and let's just Bert let's just go for this thing I I sense that if he is going to panic and begin to release all kinds of things on us you got to say baby it's my time now I'm gonna have a thousand hallelujah until you can't stand it no more I'm gonna lift my hands up even when I'm not at church I'm oh praise the Lord every time my bad news come my way you got the that devil no I Know Who I am oh I know who's I am I know who I am bringing on devil you want to dance let's do a cha-cha-cha because I am NOT going to quit don't you give up don't you cave-in don't you quit leave your past in the past it doesn't define you the Lord Jesus defines you and he defines you in Christ he defines you as redeemed he defines you as sanctified he defines you as holy he defines you as one with wisdom he defines you as the righteousness of God do not allow your pass to define you all right where I tell you to go praise the Lord thank you Jesus bless His Holy Name even I am he that blotted out by transgressions for my own sake and will not remember your sins put me in remembrance let us plead together declare thou that thou bear'st be justified you know what he said first of all he says I'm not gonna remember your sins so if I'm not gonna remember your sins tell me what you want me to remember tell me what you want me to remember I'm the righteousness of God I remember you the righteousness of God I'm redeemed I remember you're redeemed I'm blessed I remember you blessed that's what you put before the Lord he said put me in remembrance of that hallelujah I remember I'm delivered Oh Lord I remember I'm prosperous Oh Lord I remember I can forgive the ugliest most heinous egregious thing that's ever happened in your past that let it go forgive for give I'm telling you everything that's in your file is being summoned and pulled up over these next two weeks forgive no matter what for give glory be to God if you got to find yourself there in a closet and be God there I listen I know what I'm talking about listen to me ladies and gentlemen it's listen I don't know when last time you fell on your face and I'm trying not trying to be spiritual a deep but some of these battles I got to say all these battles can't fight these things with willpower you got to have some Holy Ghost power you got to have God I mean real power it is kicking a little many liberal cushioned anima yeah somebody said well all you need to do is just say no to that bad attitude all you need to do is just say no to that bad situation now that's not the way out reverse it say yes to Jesus just say yes to Jesus if you say yes to Jesus yes to grace yes to his favor yes to his finished work you don't have to worry about saying no to nothing else yes Jesus yes or Halle no care that about yes it's time to start weeping child of God it's time to get bold and strong for the Lord thy God is with thee be bold be strong for the LORD thy God is with thee just keep it simple a lot of times you don't only one know what you have in a bad day because you don't own the one that's carrying it in your hair don't nobody else know what's going on you know all the one know it you got it in your head you you walking around with this thing in your head and and and don't know about anything even know what's happening because you you you're carrying it don't carry it no more I'm asking you tonight to cast all your care on him because he cares for you you can cry if you want to but one day you got stopped crying one day you're just gonna have to wipe your tears and you know you can crack house God's so good but the grieving like you lost something you gained more in Christ than you've ever lost in your life and there's nothing that you lost that God is not gonna bring back to you a whole bunch of holes a whole bunch of holes you y'all Lord give me the utterance to say this it's just it what does it matter somebody don't like you what does it matter that somebody lied on you what does it matter that somebody you know whatever you dogs your job it what does it matter when you have Jesus somehow you're gonna have to figure out how to go forward go forward how can I go forward Jesus is already ahead of me he cast me a rope he's already helping me in a time of trouble I want you walking out of here tonight free free from what from what's behind free from what's behind your attitude how to be like me ain't got no behind no more I mean that's literally and don't hand over hand I'm off got no behind no mo something something inside me just keeps reminding me and I know this sounds insensitive but let me explain it I don't care I can't afford to I can't tell you how much I don't care I try to just stay away from it I want to hit that and I don't want to see none just I don't care cuz I'm not gonna carry the care when Jesus told me he would you got to come to a place where you get you're tired of worrying about stuff you're tired of worrying about it you're tired are not sleeping you're just tired of being stressed out you're tired of wondering who like you who don't like you you title wondering what they said when they was away from you and how they act when they that's all of that got to stop there's a great of something ahead well I don't know about it like me jesus loves you this I know for the Bible tells me so that's that's elementary do you listen to me you're gonna be dead one day you hear me and you don't want to sit back and look at all the time you wasted over trivial matters things that don't even matter wasted sleep waste you got stressed out got sick worrying about something that ain't even worth worrying about why because that's the time to trust God now it's time to trust the Lord now it's time to trust the Lord now I which I cry which is what you want to do we cry Reed but after why we gonna have to decide laugh cuz you're gonna do more laughing at the devil than crying the Bible says that we defeat him by laughing at the Bible said the joy of the Lord is your strength it's time it's time to put up a fight it's time to put up a fight and let the devil know ain't scared of you ain't even scared of you Ione ain't even scared of you you can take away everything you want to take and I have a relationship with God I get it all back ain't scared of you but you got to be delivered for people cuz you not he'll show you somebody did it get up in your head and you'll be written space to somebody to stress you out ain't doing it ain't doing it ain't doing it man whatever whatever say whatever you want to say Pope's wherever you want to post I read it in a way what you got to get that attitude so you know what happens when you get that attitude you focus God what we doing you got to get so focused you ain't got time for all that I'm talking to somebody up in here I'm talking somebody up in there and it's just time for you to let it go ain't even talking scripture no mom just talking collie Park up to somebody up in here let it go we need to see you smile again we need to see your joy again we need to see you dancing again some of y'all used to praise the Lord in church don't even move no more because you're so bogged down with the pressures of life it's time for you to make your mind up I'm not gonna let life happen to me no more I'm getting ready to happen to life [Applause] coolly keep hearing about son dilemma now here's what the Lord gave me on this it in the lymphoma you all right all is well besh under the boat Obama in its it started in 2016 2016 Satan launched an attack against families and in 2017 he intensified his attack against ministries ministers and their family to destroy the future legacy but he ain't goin in any account listen to me the hearts of your children watch I say this have been turned back to God don't even pay no attention to what you're looking at their hearts don't listen to it don't even pay no attention to it their hearts have been turned back to God and every time their name comes up you respond might have you got to learn how to pick a little song up at home you got to learn how to fight the fight don't sit up there and just let him beat you up in your head you gotta learn how to open your bump into something else hallelujah now if you do it long enough you'll see what I'm talking about you'll truly see that no weapon formed against you can prosper you truly see that you're the head in that detail you'll truly see that you have authority but if all you gonna do is sit there and get beat up no that's not who you are greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world okay here's why twelve thirteen things Lord say to me about this today your pass can cause guilt condemnation and shame [Music] whatever it may be your pass the reason why you stay away from it cause it can cause guilt condemnation and shame and if you allow your pass if you go there and that guilt and condemnation and shame comes it will produce fear it will produce stress and it will produce paranoia fear you understand condemnation is the foundation for fear so if you go back in your past and find something and it just condemns you then it's gonna produce fear and fear will be an open door for Satan to come in to manifest some things in your life stress well you know what that is when stress comes in it destroys your ease and it gets you into dis-ease which if you keep dealing with will bring about disease and then there's third one that we don't pay too much attention to is paranoia which most of the time comes from guilt and shame when you feel ashamed about something or were humiliated about something you become paranoid thinking things happen to you or even thinking that people say it or do something you do that even say I do you'll be living your whole life thinking that that everybody at the church talking about you you'll be paranoid you'll be paranoid you'll hear one somebody said something and now all of a sudden you think everybody said it that's paranoia you will think everybody's against you that's being paranoid you think everybody sean's you that's paranoia don't let it happen I can't tell you the number of people who left this church because they were paranoid into thinking that whatever happened that just everybody knew and and not only did not everybody knew don't don't everybody know you and number one number two you is just not that important none of us are so don't allow paranoia to move you away from your call or you walk in feeling fun and because you oh my god I mean are you kidding the things that people have said about me and in the past it's just it's some of us not worth repeating some of it made me very angry some of it made me I wanted to respond I wanted to get back I wanted to cut I wanted to shoot I wanted to get revenge for what so what you're gonna do you're gonna let your emotions take over and then they're gonna lead you down the path and at the end of that path you're gonna be somewhere that your emotions brought you and it ain't never a good place there's a better way don't handle it that way sometimes you just got to be content with let people think whatever they want to think and you ought to just think what you want to think cuz you didn't ask me don't think what didn't want to think instead of but I don't want people thinking no no let them think what they want to think I never forget I was in Panama City no Miami Florida getting ready to go preach out of leadership in confidence and I had two close friends of mine called me and what I'm said okay look hey man I'm calling you all right you okay and I'm like yeah like person he's like all right so what happened what's up okay you don't have to tell me anything you don't up to him anything I see it what happened he said man I you know I just got a phone call man they said that you know that you're being transferred from one Jail to another jail because you got caught by the on camera still in $30,000 in cash out of the church vault and and and I sat there and I'm like what I said I'm on my way to preach the gospel number one number two I've been doing this for 30-something years if I don't have $30,000 of my own somewhere and the third thing is if I did that I know where the cameras are why don't world without going it is I said just think about how stupid that is and they had preachers talking about it they were calling each other and it was the only internet and I thought you know what I'm not doing this I'm not doing this I'm going to preach and I don't know they're maybe on several preachers that believed it that may explain why I don't get invitations and stuff in certain places anymore but I don't have time to be trying to follow up on every thing like that oh you know pastor Dahl had a white song because he used to be married to a white lady and and it's and then it was a big headline I got calls when did you in you how long you and past haven't been divorced Wow didn't hear that one dude and then it gets worse and gross and grotesque and some of the stuff to get in the mail grotesque stuff really some nasty things I can't I'm not doing with that I'm not I'm not doing that but what I could do is we get paranoid hey pal about how you're doing you like me or you hate me but in a weird kind of way that's what you find yourself doing you don't over exaggerated but you carry that on the inside of you because of something in your path second one every even past victories will cause you to be satisfied with what was accomplished and may paralyze you in the past stopping you from obtaining future victories in other words don't let your don't don't even be satisfying I think I said this few minutes ago don't don't even be satisfied with past great victories and then you camp out there and then God can't do anything with your future because you're so busy stuck with what you did twenty years ago number three don't allow the past to govern and control your life by dictating and controlling your thoughts don't let the pass govern and control your life by dictating and controlling your thoughts that's a big one it's like when you read something see something hear something and then that thought comes in don't do that according to Philippians chapter 4 verse 8 through 9 it tells us what to think on you have to decide go to Philippians 4 verse 8 9 it tells you specifically what to think on and you've got to act you've got to start examining your thought life what am I thinking on today if you find yourself thinking on something whatever you think on the most is what you're gonna have the potential to do understand your thinking will govern your feelings so how you think determines how you feel so if you don't feel good or feel right then you got to go and check out what you've been thinking about your thinking determines how you feel your feelings will determine the decisions you make so if you don't want to make the wrong decision if you don't want to have the wrong emotions you've got to have the right thinking whatever you allow yourself to think on the most that becomes your focus now he says finally brethren whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are honest whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure whatsoever things are lovely whatsoever things are of good report if there be any virtue if there be any praise what think on these things verse 9 those things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me do and the God of peace shall be with you so if you're lacking peace he says think on those things think on those things the the enemy wants to rob you of your peace don't let him do that is my time up you gotta be kidding me how long is my time you know if I just been talking all in zeros hear what Paul just said Paul said that I am pure from the blood of all men do you know how much blood was on his hands and can you imagine waking up every morning if he were to live in the past with all his blood on his hand can you imagine him waking up every morning and having to deal with that but he took seriously his position in Christ it wasn't religiously it's serious this is who I am in Christ and I'm gonna tell you I'm gonna tell you who I am in Christ I am pure from the blood of all men but that's strong he took serious I'm not going back behind and in my past even when I said this a newborn baby doesn't have a past if when you get born again I like to see it like this when you get born again or when you get born again and get serious about God you don't have a past but you gotta believe it enough to seriously walk in it you have to walk in this I don't have a pass you it just can't be a religious statement that I'm saying to you tonight you got to believe this so much that when someone asks you something about your past you can only respond about your past in Christ Oh Lord Jesus that's good preaching the past if you're not careful we'll bring damnation to your souls it'll literally damn your soul where you're just not receiving nothing else except from the past oh god I can't tell you how close religion got me in that you're so so damn you can't even receive you can't even go past your past it was a seared conscious that was so sinned conscious check this out Satan preaches from the past trying to produce a thought to gain access into your life everything Satan preaches to you is from the past think about it you hear from man it's something by the past you gotta learn how to taught him by his past every time you talk to me about my past devil I'm gonna talk to you about yours and then your future don't look that good either I'm gonna talk about your future and your past but the devil majors in preaching sermons to you from your past so he can gain access into your thought life the next one your past can produce regret don't let it don't let your pass produce regret the next one don't let the past define your identity don't let the past to find your identity the next one investing in the past will rob you of opportunities for your future investing in your past in thought and meditation and worry investing in your emotions investing in your past will rob you of opportunities from you for your future the next one the pass can be used to hinder or stop your future destiny the pass can be used to hinder or stop your future destiny the next one rehearsing the pangs of your past only prolongs the pain and hinders the deliverance rehearsing the pangs of your past only belongs the pain and hinders the deliverance the next one don't let your pass to find your future and then the next one don't focus on what happened but on what you want to happen don't focus on what happened but focus on what you want to happen so if you want to grow you got to stop focusing on your pants if you want to grow you guys stop focusing on your past now none of this is like a walk in the park I know that but by hearing it and hearing through it's not shaming them but having more compassion for them wanting to love them more wanting to care for more that's what grace will do for you I don't know what kind of Christian you will call yourself if all you ever do is look at people's mistakes and then figure out how you can pound more stuff on there or how to make yourself look bigger or better I think grace will cause love and compassion to flow out of you to say man that could have been me how can I help that could have been me how can I assist so beware of people who try to make other people look bad that ought to say something to you saying I don't want no part of that and what you saying may be true well I want to I want to I want to be a solution I want to help I want to make it lighter I want to lift their load
