Five Attributes Of The Holy Spirit That Produces His Will For Our Lives - Sunday Service

well father we thank you for this another opportunity to minister to these your precious sheep thank you lord that revelation knowledge will flow freely uninterrupted and unhindered by the satanic or demonic force and father i pray that you will speak through my vocal cords and think through my mind none of me and all of you it's in jesus name we pray and everybody said amen well praise god if you have your bibles go with me to the book of saint john saint john chapter 16 verse 13. we're going to read it in the king james and then the new living translation i'm going to talk to you as i promised last week we're going to look at the five attributes of the holy spirit and uh that will produce you know his will for our lives uh you know when you begin to trust in the holy spirit rely and grow in the re that relationship then the spirit of god will start working in you giving you the desires to do what pleases god he'll give you the desire and the power to do what pleases god now that's amazing to me because you know we're looking at you trying to modify your behavior through your own strength versus the holy spirit modification because he is now your living partner he is the administrator of this new covenant and a lot of things that are found in the new covenant the holy spirit accepts responsibility for you know the bible talks about how we look into the word of god and we're changed from glory unto glory until we end up just like him whether the bible says that happens by the holy spirit the holy spirit takes the responsibility for your transformation uh but you know you've got to understand that you got to understand it enough to begin to believe that uh when you look at your life and you wonder what's missing what's missing in my life it may be the confidence that you need to have in your unseen partner the holy spirit you know we've heard in the world all about confidence that you have in yourself but those of us who are christians our great success in the new covenant will come because of the confidence that we have in our unseen partner the holy spirit and so the holy spirit and i don't i don't i don't doubt why it was done but the holy spirit has been so misrepresented uh we have said the holy spirit's just responsible for jumping and jiggling and doing cartwheels and and never really have come to the place of understanding the attributes of the holy spirit and so we're going to do that today then i think it'll really bless you so you can understand what what the holy spirit wants to make available and what you need to do is just release your faith for it what you need to do is say you know what i take possession of that right now holy spirit do that you know i believe that holy spirit do that and you're going to find that you're going to get a holy ghost infusion today that's going to take your life to another level let's look at our text in saint john chapter 16 verse 13 the king james says howbeit when he the spirit of truth is come so the holy spirit's referred to as the spirit of truth that he will guide you into all truth so think about that the holy spirit knows how to tug on your heart he knows how to speak to you he will guide you into all the truth for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak and he will show you watch this the holy ghost will show you things to come the holy ghost can will show you things to come you don't have to be this awesome man or woman of god all you got to do is have confidence in your unseen partner and he will show you things to come he'll show you about that marriage you're getting ready to get into he'll show you about that business you're getting ready to start he'll show you about that house that you're getting ready to buy if you like i said last week we'll give him the permission and the authority to be who he has been sent to be in your life now look at this same scripture in the new living translation john 16 13 in the new living translation he says when the spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all truth he will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard he'll tell you what he has heard he will tell you about the future now listen this is a powerful game changer for believers he will tell you about the future and i'm and i'm talking about your future remember this is a personal relationship with the holy spirit and the holy spirit will tell you about your future i mean how do you let that go how do you not want to engage in an understanding with the holy spirit once you hear that he is going to tell you about your future you won't need somebody to come into church and say thus saith the lord if you have a relationship with the holy spirit he will begin to tell you about the future praise the lord you'll be you'll be prepared for it the holy ghost will prepare you for it when others are surprised you will be prepared amen so let's look at the first attribute of the holy spirit attribute number one a teacher the holy spirit has this attribute he is a teacher now what does this mean well a teacher of course is one who imparts knowledge and one who imparts information the holy spirit will impart knowledge knowledge that you didn't learn in school knowledge that you didn't get from sunday school quarterly he will impart knowledge and information that's powerful think about living a christian life under the submission and the authority of the holy spirit he imparts power he imparts knowledge he imparts information look at this in saint john 14 26 in in in the nlt st john 14 26 he says but when the father sends the advocate as my representative that is the holy spirit so the father sends the holy spirit he will do what teach you everything and will remind you of everything that i've told you the holy spirit is going to teach you everything and remind you everything that i have told you man i you know you have to believe that there are lots of things i'm telling you that the holy spirit has taught me and is teaching me and and and if you're if you're not really up on this and mature on this you're sitting there well how is somebody going to teach me something and i can't see him and i can't touch him see this is where you know getting in the word is important you know this is where spending time with god over the word is important and all of a sudden spending time in that word tunes your ears to the spirit of god glory to god spending time in that more time you spend in the word more time you spend praying in the spirit more time you spend fellowship with him it tunes your ears to hear from him and and we're not talking about these these ears are for the physical voice but there's an ear in the center of your heart there's the ear of the spirit where you will hear the best way i can describe this kind of like deep in your conscious you hear this voice and it begins to give you information and it begins to guide you and teach you and remind you of the things that that have been said in his word now the holy spirit promises to instruct promises to illuminate and to navigate us as to the pathways that he wants us to follow there's a plan for our lives there's a pathway for our life and the holy spirit's job is to instruct and to illuminate and to navigate us into that pathway for our life he shows the things of jesus he shows us what to say what to do or what to think he will show us that the holy spirit you know we already read where he's a god everybody's been born with a purpose and a plan for their life and the holy spirit has been sent to on purpose guide you illuminate the path begin to instruct you to that place where you're supposed to be and i tell you a lot of people are trying to get to the destiny for their life without the holy spirit and so they're depending on a whole lot of other things and and most of the time you end up in the wrong place because you're comparing yourself with somebody else and you're assuming this and you're assuming that and and and in some cases you're saying well this is what i want to do because which i saw somebody else do and you're completely uh not opening yourself up to to the leadership of the holy spirit i think your prayer needs to change to this lord show me what i need to do lord illuminate the path that i need to go down lord if there are desires that i have for my life and they are not your desires please take them away and give me your desires because nobody knows like the holy spirit what you're supposed to be doing the path you're supposed to be going down and how to illuminate you to the to the things of your life now i heard somebody say this one time and i want to take some time to put it in proper perspective i remember being in the church and and uh i would hear this quite often uh i don't need no man to teach me nothing i don't know man need to teach me because quite often you'll see in the scripture where it says you know uh you don't need a man to teach you because the holy ghost will teach you but what does that mean does it really mean that god doesn't use people to and to teach you that the holy spirit can instruct and lead and guide through other people see if it's true that you know you don't need anybody else or any man to teach you then why do we see this in ephesians 4 11 and 12 go there real quick 4 11 and 12 where he says i have given unto you and he talks about the fivefold ministry gifts and notice the purpose there and he gave some apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some pastors and some teachers these are all people but what was the purpose for the perfecting of the saints so that the saints can do the work of the ministry and the work of the ministry is edifying or building up the body of christ so notice what god did god says i'm going gonna use fivefold ministry gifts i'm gonna use the fivefold ministry gift the the apostle the prophet the evangelist the teacher and the pastor and they're going to be used to perfect the saints so that the saints can do the work of the ministry which is building up the body of christ so it certainly doesn't mean that god will not use people to teach you or to instruct you but we need to find out what it means because there's just so many people that are so quick to say that and then they go get a cage somewhere and come out bragging that the holy spirit taught me that and you know i don't doubt that the holy spirit can say some things to you but does that mean to just ignore people ignore the fivefold ministry gift get all deep and say well the spirit of god is teaching me that you come out to cave all wrong and all deceived trying to mess up somebody else's life so what does it mean first of all let me show you where it's said in first john chapter 2 and 27 first john chapter 2 and 27 now now notice what it says here and you've got to put it in context context is king you define one scripture based on the context that it appears in and so if i'm reading this one scripture you can't just come to conclusions without considering the context of that scripture all right he says but the anointing which you have received of him abideth where in you and you need not that any man teach you so that's where it came from that you need not that any man teach you but as the same anointing teaches you of all things and is true and is no lie and even as it has taught you you shall abide in him and so somebody takes this scripture doesn't consider the context does not allow the context to give definition of the scripture and go around preaching especially when they get mad at the preachers and mad at the church and say i'll need no man teach me the bible says that i don't need a man to teach me but what does that mean let's back all the way up into uh let's go to verse 18 in the nlt and i'll read it out to you let's look at the context let's look at verse 18 all the way down to verse 27 to see what the context of the scripture is and what he is saying now verse 18 says this dear children the last hour is here you have heard that the antichrist and he's referring to the person the antichrist is coming and already many such antichrist have appeared so there are already a lot of people who have that antichrist attitude or spirit they've already appeared from this we know that the last hour has come from what do we know when you start seeing a bunch of people who are against christ a bunch of folks who are anti-christ he says this lets you know that the time is near he says these people left our churches but they never really belonged with us otherwise they would have stayed with us when they left it proved that they did not belong with us i don't get upset when i find out people left our church because when people leave our church i just say well pro they might not belong with us god please help them to find the church where they belong praise god he says but you are not like that for the holy one has given you his spirit and all of you know the truth so the spirit of god the holy ghost has been given so you can know the truth you can be sitting in a place and hear somebody preach and you who have the holy spirit will know the truth i remember one time i was in church and i said there's one thing that seemed to be so opposing to the word but because they had the spirit of god they knew that was true before i even said it because the spirit of god was sent so you can know the truth he says the next verse so i am writing to you not because you don't know the truth but because you know the difference between truth and lies see the holy ghost will help you to know the difference between truth and lies single woman if you're trying to get married you need to have the holy ghost so you can know the difference between truth and lies all right now watch this next verse and who is a liar so he's going to get ready to tell he says so how are we defining a liar in this context he says anyone who says that jesus is not the christ that's a liar anyone that says jesus is not the christ that's a liar anyone who denies the father and the son is antichrist so he just told you there if you deny the father and the son you're antichrist if you deny that jesus is the christ you're a liar and you're antichrist look at the next verse anyone who denies the son doesn't have the father either but anyone who acknowledges the son has the father also all right so this is the truth that he wants us to know that jesus is the christ and you don't deny the father and the son that's the truth in context he says so you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning faithful to what jesus is the christ jesus is the christ the father the son he says if you do you will remain in fellowship with the son and with the father all right what am i going to hold on to jesus is the christ if you get that then you're going to remain faithful to the father and the son and in this fellowship we enjoy eternal life that he promised all right watch this so you have eternal life because you received that i am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray so it says there there are some false teachers that want to lead you astray all right this is the context but you have received the holy spirit so when the false teachers show up to try to lead you astray the holy spirit who knows the difference between a lie and a truth is there to let you know that that's a lie and that's the truth but you have received the holy spirit and he lives within you so you don't need any one anyone refers to false teachers you don't need a a fake teacher a deceived teacher to teach you what is true you don't need you don't need a fake teacher who don't believe to come try to teach you what is true that was confirmed by the holy spirit for the spirit teaches you everything you need to know and what he teaches is the truth it is not a lie so just as he has taught you remain in fellowship with christ so he didn't mean that you don't need a man to teach you he meant you don't need somebody wicked trying to twist the scriptures to teach you what the holy spirit has already confirmed about the truth that you learned let me sum that up just really quick in other words the anointing of the holy spirit is all you need to avoid this heresy and interpret correctly what was taught you from the beginning about the messiah the purpose of this anointing is not to add new information to what they had heard from from from the beginning but to give them such a clear and true sense of christ and who he is in that teaching that they cannot be drawn away and swayed by the deceiver see when you're taught something and the holy spirit confirms it it's hard for somebody to come and deceive you it's just it won't happen praise god so you don't need any teacher you have what you need and what you have is the knowledge revealed already in the beginning stated in verse 24. in other words you don't need a false teacher twisting the truth you already have that's what he's talking about there you don't need a false teacher twisting the truth you already have now come on just hearing that lets me know man i need the holy ghost just hearing that lets me know dude i need to hear the holy ghost i mean think about it when you're sitting in a place and you're hearing the word preach how do you know if what you're hearing is true well first of all does it line up with the word all right now here's what i discovered somebody can pick a scripture out of context and say i got it out of the word and it might not be true based on how they teaching it they're not they may not be teaching according so you need the holy spirit to con to continue to work with you to say that's true that's a lie that sounds deep but that ain't the truth you need the holy spirit i depend on the holy spirit when i'm studying and i look at something i'm like holy ghost help me help me to see the truth in this show me the truth in this matter the holy spirit wants to be your teacher how by even when you're studying even when you're listening to messages even right now when you're listening to a message if you're listening to what i'm saying right now and you've never heard what i'm saying right now and you have the holy spirit the holy spirit will say check that's true if i was saying something that was not in context check that's false or you're stuck with your tradition and your tradition has made the word of god watch this of no effect at all man we got we got a lot to learn but the holy spirit is there to help you you cannot you settle any issue of truth without the holy spirit who wants to teach you and confirm the truth and so you don't need a teacher to twist what's already truth and that you already know that amen i hope you got that i want to move on here's the second attribute of the holy spirit this is awesome the second attribute of the holy spirit he is a corrector the holy spirit is a corrector what i mean by that he corrects us when we need improvement he corrects us when we need refinement and he will rebuke us he will i love it the holy spirit corrects us when we need improvement so when the holy spirit corrects you it's because you need some improvement you need some refinement you need some rebuking he keeps us in love most of the corrections that come from the holy spirit will be corrections about how we treat one another he will correct you to keep you in love and out of self-centeredness oh my goodness he corrects you to keep you in love and out of self-centeredness this is like gigantic in the life of a christian but sometimes i don't think we recognize that because i don't know we just think the holy spirit is like a genie in a lamp and we're just supposed to rub on it to fulfill our selfish desires and i've told you a coup for the last few weeks you've got to decide am i in this as a christian to please myself to blame bring pleasure to me or am i in this as a christian to please god that's the basis of really where you're going to end up and the holy spirit will correct us and he will keep us in love and keep us out of selfishness i depend on that i depend on that i'm not relying on my own self-effort for that i depend on the holy spirit keep me in love keep me out of self-centeredness let me know when i'm being selfish help me to hear you god will do that i'm telling you man he's real he's real and the holy spirit will do this now let me show you this this is so important hebrews chapter 12 verse 6 and verse 10. let's read that hebrews chapter 6 12 verse 6 and verse 10. now here's the word the bible uses chastening the chastening of the lord it's not god beating you down punishing you and abusing you god is not an abuser the word chasing just simply means to direct through correction it's the it's the it's the directing of the lord and the correcting of the lord and they go together he says for whom the lord loveth now notice god is chastening who he loves so you don't want to be without chastisement because god will chastise who he loves he says for the lord loveth uh for whom the lord loveth he chasteneth and scourges every son whom he receiveth that sounds like abuse that sounds like god's beating people that's not that's not happening at all look at verse 10 verse 10 says for they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure but he for our prophet god's chastisement and correction is for our prophet it is for our prophet that we might be partakers watch this of his holiness god says i'm going to correct you so you can be a partaker of holiness now please let's not get all spiritually deep on holiness what is holiness i'm just going to use one word to describe it holiness is wholeness holiness is wholeness and the bible says here that god will correct us for the prophet of us being whole see wherever you're broken god wants to correct you so you can be whole wherever wherever you're where whatever's missing in your life god wants to correct you so that doesn't have to continue to be missing uh are you ignoring the corrections of god there's certain things god has god is just it's that conviction on the inside that when you're doing something the holy spirit is like no don't do that man that that that by doing this you maintain your brokenness by doing this you maintain your wholeness and so what happens is while he's trying to correct us we're like i don't want to hear that and we go on and then we we bump into the consequences of not being led by the holy spirit holy spirit's trying to show you by correcting you don't do that no more don't go there anymore don't look at that anymore don't say that anymore what's his objective he wants you to profit in wholeness or holiness wholeness is holiness you know the bible says be ye holy as i am holy well see that holiness is all about wholeness it's all about wholeness god is whole and he wants you to be whole and so you know this is the correction i need the holy spirit to correct to correct me i don't want to be without correction i don't want to be it's not like you can fool the holy ghost he knows the areas where you need to be corrected i don't want to be without correction and i need the holy spirit correct me and that ought to be a prayer holy spirit correct me help me not to hurt myself holy spirit correct me allow me to walk in wholeness and and allow me to not continue to do things to add to the brokenness in my life and he'll do it he'll do it but you got to have faith and trust that that can come to pass come on let's look at the third attribute of the holy spirit director and i told you correction and direction goes together the holy spirit is a director look at psalms 23 1-6 real quick i want to share probably the biggest part of my scriptures right here the lord knows the best thoughts ideas attitudes and actions we need to take in order to complete the best of the will of god so his job the holy spirit's job is to guide us into the will of god for our lives and he knows the right directions to arrive at that particular destiny he knows the right directions to give for us to arrive at that particular destiny now everybody's got a particular destiny to arrive at the holy spirit has the directions he knows how to get you there my god i don't see how any christian can plan on living a successful life without the holy spirit he has the directions for your destination he has the directions for your destinations look at what he says here in in psalm 23 i don't know if you've ever looked at it like this but in light of the whole this attribute of the holy spirit look at it this way verse 2 verse 1 says the lord is my shepherd what's a shepherd he's the one that's going to provide directions he and notice what happens he says when you make the lord your shepherd and you're following his direction he says you shall not want so if you find yourself always in want maybe you're not following his directions you know even proverbs talks about that you know if you acknowledge him in all of your ways he'll do what direct your path direct your path are you taking time to acknowledge the holy spirit holy spirit i need you to show me how to how to do this and where to go holy spirit show me how to get from here to here holy ghost show me how to get from there show me how to get out of this pit show me how to get out of this lasciviousness show me how to get out of this situation and a lot of times when people are convinced that this is just what they want to do they're not paying attention to the holy spirit there are lots of people who won't pay the holy spirit has made it clear this is not my will for your life and and you say yeah but it is my pleasure he says it's not my will yeah but it is my pleasure and what happens is you harden your ears and you don't hear from the holy spirit but he won't ever give up he'll never give up now your heart might become hardened to the point where you're not hearing him but he's always going to be speaking he's always going to and so what happens is be careful that he doesn't step back and allow the consequences of your decision to try to get you a decision to try to get your attention beware and sometimes that has to happen with a lot of people there there have to be some stupid stuff to happen before you say whoa and then you hear you hear it the transmission comes in real clear he keeps talking to you how many times you want to go through that how many times you want to allow something like that to happen you end up dead somewhere cause you're just kind of ignoring the holy spirit because you're like right now it's my pleasure to do this do you want god to deliver you yes but not right now and you know what he told you and think about you keep making excuses to other people about why you're doing what you're doing and trying to get god involved in your in your little pitiful excuses you know the holy ghost listen the holy ghost makes it very plain to you this is not my will for your life and you're saying yeah but it is my pleasure the bible says the lord is your shepherd and if you will allow him to shepherd you to direct you you won't be in one see you think what you're doing right now is what you need and what you really want but if you allow him to come into your life he'll take you he'll illuminate the path and and the lord is my shepherd i shall not want look at verse two look at what he does man when he's my shepherd verse two when he's my shepherd he makes me to lie down what kind of pastors when he's my shepherd look at the directions he'll take me he'll take me to green pastures notice where he look at the directions he'll lead me beside still water and peace this is what happens when you let the holy spirit become your director he maketh me to lie down the green passage leaving me beside steel water verse 3 he says he restoreth my soul he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake he he will direct you in the path of righteousness when you when you allow him to be your shepherd he directs you in the path that leads to righteousness verse 4 he says yea though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death he says i'm not going to fear any evil why because you're with me your rod and your staff they comfort me isn't it cool to know that when you're walking through a rough period in your life that the holy spirit is your director and he knows how to direct you out of that rough period some of you've been through a rough period in this pandemic and god knows how to direct you out of this god knows how to get you to that place of restoration in your life next verse he says thou prepareth a table before me look at this in the presence of my enemies god is not talking about preparing the table before you know in heaven he's saying right where you are in the presence of your enemy in the presence of all the mess he says i got a table prepared for you i got a table prepared for you and what he's saying is would you please eat from the table that i've prepared for you but you know what a lot of christians do we go prepare our own table i don't like what he prepared you really do like it you really don't know what he's prepared for you and then you go and you prepare your own table he says i've got a table prepared for you in the presence of your enemy he says i've anointed your head with oil he says my cup my cup runneth over my cup so he says if you know if you're following my directions i'll get you to a place where your cup is running over and what do you do with this stuff running out of your cup you've got enough to share it with somebody else he said right now you're just barely getting along your cup ain't been full in a long time you ain't got enough to help nobody else cause you ain't got enough to help yourself he said but when i become the director in your life i'm gonna bring you to a place where your cup is running over and you'll have more than enough for you and a whole lot running over to share with somebody else but you can't get there because you want to direct your own life look at the next verse he says surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and i'll dwell in the house of the lord forever goodness and mercy follows the when you make jesus the lord and you trust in the holy spirit the goodness of god and the mercy of god will follow you all the days of your life now you may you may end up going some crazy places or getting off path but that's why god's goodness and mercy is there his goodness is designed to bring you to repentance or a change of mind about something this is so important that we accept this attribute of the holy spirit that he will direct our lives he has the direction for us to arrive at the perfect destination for our lives look at acts chapter 13 and 2 acts chapter 13 and 2 and then acts 8 and 29 just share these things which he says as they minister to the lord as they began to minister to god and worship and praise and serve the lord with that and they fasted he said the holy ghost said separate separate me barnabas and saul for the work whereunto i have called them here's the direction here's the directions they were ministering to god and direction showed up they were ministering to god and direction showed up i tell you if you need directions in your life don't sit there and get depressed and moan and groan and get in selfishness minister to the lord and watch direction show up for your life the greatest thing you can do in the middle of trouble where you're stuck and you don't know where to go and what to do is start ministering to the lord start taking that praise music man and worship god and sing your song and just minister to him thanksgiving and praise and if your mind won't line up with it go on a fast until your mind get with it until your mind starts lining up with the word praise god and he will provide necessary directions for your life because he's a director look at this acts chapter 8 and 29 he says then the spirit said unto philip go near and join thyself to this chariot that's that's the spirit of god giving directions god will give you the same kind of directions he's just telling him he's giving him go over there near near go and join thyself to this chariot go over there oh my gosh and if you read that story you see some supernatural things happening with that were overcoming natural laws i'm telling you god will give you directions to get you to your perfect destination look at acts 20 uh 22-24 acts 20 20-24 in the amplified if you have it acts 20 22-24 these are just examples of of directions being provided you read in the bible these guys were not smart without god giving them directions by the holy spirit providing directions from them verse 22 says and now you see i am going to jerusalem bound by the holy ghost i tell you you are not going to well unless you are bound by the holy ghost and obligated and compelled by the convictions of my own spirit not knowing what will befall me there go on he says except that the holy spirit clearly and emphatically affirms to me in city after city that imprisonment and suffering await me remember he says holy ghost to show you about your future and and notice paul kept talking about look at what the holy spirit has been saying so it wasn't a surprise it wasn't something that's going to knock him silly he's preparing him and directing him to a place he says but none of these things move me paul said that's cause he got his friend neither do i esteem my life dear to myself if only i may finish my course with joy and the ministry which i have obtained from which was entrusted to me by the lord jesus christ faithfully to attest to the good news of the gospel of god's grace his unmerited favor spiritual blessings and mercy so paul was like dude he's prepared me he gave me an assignment told me what to do i mean listen paul's on the road to damascus he's not planning on jesus showing up and and directing his life and there was never a time where the spirit of god was there directing him to do something now there were certain times when he did some stuff in the spirit of god didn't direct him to do it and there were consequences for it but the holy ghost got him back on the right road doing what needs to be done and you would think well if uh if that's the holy ghost why did he end up in prison see you got to understand that god knows your path and he knows your destiny he knows things you got to do where you got to do it he knows the situation you have well i mean why did he lead jesus into a wilderness you would think well why didn't you you know why don't you lead jesus into another garden of eden see god knows god knows better than you he knows the path you got to go down in order to be to arrive at the destination of your life you were big you were born for a reason you were born for a purpose but you can't let the the fame of the world become your director you got to trust the holy ghost and a lot of times you get to a place and you know it was god told you to do this and you just got to just just say listen god i trust you god i trust you praise god i trust that if you leave me here there's a reason for it my grandma you say that all the time if we're here there must be a reason for us so let's just start praying that we can get the wisdom for this place that i am in right now praise god and trust that the holy ghost knows how to get you where you need to be and do some of the things you need to do and then matthew chapter 4 and 1 matthew chapter 4 and verse 1 he's a director the holy spirit this attribute he said when then when jesus watch this led up of the spirit directed of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil i'm sure some people think well i don't i don't get that well see see you got to understand something god knows the different places you have to go to in order to be equipped for your destination see god knows god knows exactly your destination but then he knows all of the side roads you need to take and get equipped right there and then bring you off and then equip right there and bring you off and take you down the cul-de-sac and bring you on around and do that and in each one of those places there's an equipping taking place and i believe that's what's happening in your life god's equipping you right now hallelujah god's equipping you right now the pandemic you got to understand something he didn't cause the pandemic but he'll use it for some equipping purposes there are a lot of marriages that have been equipped hallelujah there are a lot of ministries that have been equipped right now i told tapping this morning and i said i've been humbled praise god i've been humble because i recognized that you never know what might happen here or there but when it happens will i humble myself under the mighty hand of god and trust his leadership and trust his guidance and not allow my emotions to get down but to pull myself up knowing that that that there's some something awesome happening and instead of you know complaining a bit about this ask you know don't miss the hour of wisdom don't miss the moment of quipping don't come out of this thing the same as you did at the beginning of the year there's no member of world changers that should return back to the building the same the same i i i'm not the same taffy is not the same you should not come back to the building the same there should be a level of equipping that you have all experienced praise god everybody ought to have a testimony of when you woke up and didn't know how you were going to make it and god came through it and the holy ghost spoken and god led and he showed you something and i'm telling you man god knows what he's doing he knows what he's doing he led jesus into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil somebody says well couldn't he just skip that part no there's certain parts i ask about a lot why couldn't you have skipped that part i don't understand the whole thing totally but here's what i do i trust god i trust this attribute of the holy spirit to direct my life i trust his direction to get me to where i need to be number four here's the fourth attribute of the holy spirit he's a planner p-l-a-n-n-e-r he's a planner god told jeremiah in jeremiah chapter 29 and 11 and this is something that i i realize he told him in 29-11 i know the thoughts that i think towards you saith the lord thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end if you have that in the nlt pull it up right quick jeremiah 29 11. i realize that god has a script that we are to follow and i want my script and uh and the nlt says for i know the plans i have for you says the lord they are plans for good and not for disaster that's all i need to know it might look like a desire he says but it's for good not for disaster to give you a future a plan to give you a future and a plan to give you a hope god has a script for your life god has a script for your life so you're trying to write the script for your life and god's got one already written glory to god i felt that he has a script for your life and you're trying to write your own script because you've been listening to the wrong advice we should be asking the holy spirit show us the script that god has for my life thank you god show us the script that you have for my life and holy spirit lead and guide me to this script i mean a lot of you think well you just where you are for no reason at all god knows exactly where you had to be for right now there's a script that just blows my mind there's a script for my life and and and i want to be able to get to heaven and see that that i didn't detour too far from the script and when i did the holy spirit who i trusted in kept bringing me back to my script blood about because everything about my whole life is going to be judged on that script that's why he already knows it's his foreknowledge hallelujah that he has thank you jesus god knows that when i'm in new zealand my script said i was supposed to be in new zealand at that time god knows that right here today i'm supposed to be here right here today praise god because of his foreknowledge and because he's a director in my life preaching what i'm preaching to you right now and you sitting there listening to it and you're looking at your life right now but i believe what's happening is you're changing over right now and you're saying listen man i got to have the holy ghost because i can't do what i don't know so i got to trust in someone who knows better than what i know you got to get away from this thing when you think you know more than god you got to get away from this thing where you're trying to be like god without god there's a strip for your life and god wants to direct your path and he's a planner he's got good plans for you praise god look at john chapter 7 and verse 17. so how do i discover that john chapter 7 verse 17 if any man will do his will he shall know of the doctrine whether it be of god or whether i speak of myself see the best way to discover his will is by expressing your complete willingness to do whatever he asks you to do you want him to express the will of god for your life will you be willing to express your complete willingness to do whatever he asks you to do i can remember coming up in ministry lord whatever whatever you want me to do i want to do whatever you want me to do but sometimes that's interrupted with what everybody else wants you to do god show me what you want me to do i remember that constant prayer show me what you want me to do because i did not know i'm in a place where i thought i would never be show me what you want me to do lord and when you when you want his will to be revealed clearly to you the best way to discover his will is by expressing god i'm willing to do whatever you want me to do you know some people say that but they just don't really mean it they keep getting drawn away uh by their worldly desires comparing themselves amongst themselves and then having the desire to be what they compared themselves with and completely death to what god wants you to do and what are you doing when you say lord what do you whatever you want me to do i'll do it show it to me tell me what i'll do i'll do whatever you want me to do i am willing to do whatever you want me to do you know what god says he's like dude you know for anybody who's willing to do whatever i want them to do i'm going to take you to the will of god for you that's all i want to do i want to take you to the path i want to illuminate the path for your life i know that you you're going to be happy you're going to be fulfilled you're going to be prosperous in the destination i've called for you he said these plans are good it's for your good not for your destruction it's for your good and our trust is for you good praise god all right look at this proverbs 3 and 5 and 6 proverbs 3 5 and 6. if you show god that you're willing to do whatever he asks he will direct your path god i want to show you i'm willing to do whatever you ask sometimes you're reading the bible and god's having these guys to do this things like why did you do that you figured like that's a big waste of time no i just want to see if you were being for real about it look what he says trust in the lord with all thy heart don't lean to your own understanding trust in the lord trust in the lord lean on him rely on him we use trust religiously but when when you examine your life are you leaning on him are you relying on him trust in the lord with all thy heart lean not unto my own understanding don't lean to what you understand about this see you might be on on a path right right now and and and you know you're trying to you know determine it based on what you understand about this path but god's doing some things look at this he says in all thy ways acknowledge him and he'll do what he'll direct your path god i acknowledge you i'm not just going to just go out you know trying to please myself you see why that's so important for you to make up your mind am i going to do what pleases him or am i going to do what pleases myself because if you if you're if you're after doing what pleases yourself you're not interested in doing what pleases him but if you're after doing what pleases him then you're going to recognize when you're trying to please yourself and he says would you acknowledge me in all my ways so i can direct your path can you pray about it can you ask me about it will you give me the opportunity to be a part of your plan i have your plan i have the script it's not like i'm trying to hold nothing for you from uh from you god's holding things for you not from you god's holding instructions for you not from you god's holding these precious jewels for you not from you and so he said i'll direct your path i'll show you where to go if you can acknowledge me and then number five is the fifth attribute of the holy spirit that he has for you the fifth attribute he is a deliverer the holy spirit is a deliverer you see it over and over again throughout the word of god let the lord deliver you instead of relying on yourself instead of relying on your friends instead of relying on your own resources to deliver you from everyday hardship let the lord deliver you in some of our lives we're so i don't know what it is that we don't need god i can deliver myself but i tell you what in everybody's life you're gonna everybody's life there's gonna come a point where you you know you can't do nothing you gotta have god there's a point in everybody's life where you're gonna like i need god i need god and and and nobody gonna be there for you and and and nobody gonna have what you need and and and and you everybody gonna need god one day and i don't know where you are and what you're dealing with but you need a deliverer and and i need a delivery i've needed a deliverer in my life i need a deliverer in my life and nobody can deliver like god can deliver i tell you the lord will not only deliver you but he will vindicate you and you you know sometimes you try so hard to do things on your own you you've got to be careful not to copy the world that that is a step down from the things that god has hallelujah god can do some stuff so much greater than the smartest people in the world can do glory to god what it takes the world years to do god can do it in a second glory to god he can he can and you got to believe he is a deliverer hallelujah he will deliver your marriage he will deliver you out of your addictions he will deliver you out of your selfishness but you've got to let him you got to let him deliver you out of your selfishness and out of your circle he is a deliverer look at what the scripture says in first john 4 4 yes amen first john 4 4 says this you are of you are of god little children and you have overcome them because greater is he look what he tells you here's how i read it you are god little children and you have overcome them and not because of you he says because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world it's not because of you see the world wants to exalt you and and and the secular humanism just wants to tell you that you don't need god you can do this yourself you're great you're mighty you can't do nothing without god you can't do nothing without him greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world but sometimes we think the greater one's in the world and the lesser one is on the inside of us because we depend on the world's way of doing things more than we depend on god we don't even give him a chance we don't even give him a shot and he wants to be that deliverer in your life look at psalms 34 verse 17 psalms 34 and verse 17 yes amen the righteous cry well you're the righteousness of god right the righteous cry and the lord what the lord hears the lord hears but not only does he hear watch this he delivers them out of all their trouble i could test some up right now he will deliver you out of all your trouble i don't know if you've ever been in trouble before well yes i do everybody has he'll deliver you out of all your trouble but notice what he says the righteous cry now you ain't doing nothing you just sitting back there you know well where the lord at now the righteous cry you engage the deliverer glory to god you engage him hallelujah you know just by crying out to god what you're saying is i trust you enough to cry out to you i trust you enough that's acknowledging him lord help that's a gigantic prayer what a powerful prayer help god he'll help he will deliver you he not only will he hear you but he says i'll deliver you out of all your trouble one little word help and he go to work the resources of heaven are made available to you when you pray that little prayer right there and look at psalms 107 and 6 psalms 107 and 6 the righteous cry we we engage that man we engage that engage the holy spirit as your deliverer engage the holy spirit as your helper engage the holy spirit as your corrector as your planner verse 6 says then they cried unto the lord in their trouble yeah and he delivered them out of their distresses what you say what you say you got a very present help on the inside of you but see you're not you're not crying out to him you're crying out to everything else you're not crying out to him it's it's not like you know somebody said well you know why you put me in the first place to see if you were gonna cry who you trust who you trust a lot of times you find yourself in a situation so you can see the truth you go around talking about how much you love the lord and how much you trust god but every time you get into in trouble you cry to yourself you try to cry to the world you don't even you don't even take the time to go to god who's already committed and promised that i'll deliver you out of all of your distresses he said i'm the one i'm the one i want you to trust me and i want to keep putting you in situations so you can trust me i want to keep taking you down roads and alleys where you can trust me i want to keep taking you through wilderness where you can trust me hallelujah because at your destination you're going to need to know how to trust me let's quit questioning god sometimes things happen and we just want to quit well i don't like how they talk to me at church so you left well you one of us because if you was over you just stayed there and kept your medicine because god was just trying to plan and take care of you because he knew you were gonna be in a situation where you needed to trust him you needed to see him work you need to see him change people right in front of you because you trust him you need to see how he's going to change situations because you trust him you're trying to try to build the thing that you're going to need most of all and then finally in psalms 91 and we we get psalms 91 equipped we get psalms 91 equipped all the time some 91 equipped all the time but i want to go over it in an nlt let's read it in nlt and uh these are attributes that you have to possess you got to say lord i i believe i receive the holy spirit and his attributes the things he will attribute to my life the things he will attribute to my everyday living okay notice what he says he says those who live in the shelter of the most high will find rest under the shadow of the almighty praise god come on two he says this i declare about the lord he alone is my refuge he alone look at that all by himself he alone he is my refuge my place of safety yeah he is my god and i trust him he's my god and i trust him for he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease i trust him he will cover you with his feathers he will shelter you with his wings his faithful promises are your armor and protection do not be afraid of the terrors of the night nor of the arrow that fly in the day come on do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness nor the disaster that strikes at midnight come on though a thousand fall at your side though ten thousand are dying around you oh my goodness these evils will not touch you glory just open your eyes and see how the wicked are punished if you make the lord your refuge look at that the condition if you make the lord your refuge if you make the most high your shelter glory to god no evil will conquer you no plague will come near your home praise god thank you jesus for he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go come on now he says they will hold you up with their hands so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone yeah you will trample upon lions and cobras you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet verse 14 the lord says i will rescue those who love me i will protect those who trust in my name when they call on me i'll answer i'll be with them in trouble i'll be with them in trouble i'll be with them in trouble see you think god is with you at church and he is but he also with you when you're in trouble i will rescue and what honor them praise god i will reward them with long long life and i will give them my salvation i'm telling you you have the greatest asset that the that has been offered to the world and that is your partnership with the holy spirit he wants to attribute to your life as a teacher as a corrector he wants to attribute to your life as a deliverer as a director as a planner he wants to attribute these things to your life will you accept him will you receive him will you allow him to be these things in your life will you allow his plans and purposes to come alive in your life today if you'll hearken and allow that that that the gifts of the spirit to invade your life the presence of the spirit to harbor over you you can go to the next level what are you prepared to do what are you prepared to do you think i preached this so you can get good notes in your notebook ain't nothing wrong with it but when are you gonna when you're gonna understand that you're nothing without him why why why continue to live life as if you don't need him the creator of life he knows about every issue of life he knows about everything in your life now it's time talk to him talk to him sometimes you talk to your kids or your wife in another room you can't see him talk to him he'll be there he's your present help he's your present help glory to god let's pray father we thank you thank you for the attributes of the holy spirit thank you that we have an administrator of this new covenant who will lead and guide us into all the truth oh i pray blessings upon the house of world changers i pray the blessings of god over every family member i thank you holy spirit you're doing a mighty work in their lives you're bringing them to the place of their destination and father i thank you that we know how to walk through hard times that we know how to walk through a pandemic we know how but we know also we can't do any of it without you precious holy spirit you are welcome sir you are welcome to move in my life and in the life of this church and the lives of my brothers and sisters in the lord you are welcome sir we trust you we can't do nothing without you when we need you show us what to do how to do it when to do it and let us purpose in our heart to do those things we give you all the honor the glory and the praise it's in jesus name and everybody said amen now if you're here right now you've never made jesus the lord of your life you you heard me preach and you understood some of it some of it you know i don't know where you are but you thank god you can listen to it again but you say i do know i want to get saved today i do know that i don't want to live
