[Music] [Music] but god [Applause] [Music] me [Music] gotta get better [Music] i can praise god all by myself i don't i don't need to be with nobody to give god praise but it just makes it better when i have some some cheerleaders for the lord on my side lifting up the name of jesus and we on the same team right and we giving god praise amen and so we just give god praise and so this is our worship experience and worship time of worship praise and worship amen we worship god we give him praise give him honor give him glory he created us to do that amen so nobody has to pump you up when you just start thinking about all the things that he has done for us he's been a waymaker he's been a hard fixer mind regulator he's been my everything he's been a mother for me he's been a father for me he's been my best friend he's been a attorney for me he's been a he's been a counselor he he he walks with me he talks with me he lifts me up and he cares me he protects me and he he keeps me he covers me and he loves me hallelujah he chastised me and he keeps me he provides for me he protects me he's my everything he's away making anybody know he's a waymaker hallelujah he's a wavemaker have you ever wondered how he was gonna make it through something and then all of a sudden you don't know how it's gonna turn out but god it worked it out better that you thought that it was gonna work out better than you had told him how to do it god is a waymaker and i know i'm not going by what somebody told me i'm telling you what i know all these years i've been walking and talking with jesus and he's been walking and talking with me and i've learned and i'm still learning just you know what just kesha cares upon him for he cares for you and that he's a way maker don't worry about how it's gonna turn out just give it to god because he's a waymaker he's a waymaker hallelujah hallelujah somebody need to know that this morning somebody is listening in on on uh through the through media needs to know that god is a weight maker you wonder how you gonna pay your bills you ever had your bills paid and you got more bills than money but then everything is still turned on nothing turned off you still got food in the refrigerator you still got some gas you got a quarter take a gas get to work god is a way maker he's a waymaker and you wonder how is he doing it it's not for us to wonder how your side that he's a waymaker i don't know who is this for but you gotta know he's away maker debt he can cancel brokenness he can fix a sick body he can heal a troubled mind he can fix i heard somebody say when i was a little girl said he may not come when you want him but he's right on time so you got to know that he's a waymaker even though he might not be doing it right now as fast you want him to do it but how many know he's behind the scenes god is behind the scenes and while you standing here he's behind the scenes working on your behalf hallelujah hallelujah so what we gonna do is just praise him in advance and thank him for being a worker for working that thing out high trouble in the home he's a wave maker sister felicia he's a wave maker sister doris he's a way maker he's a healer of any kind of disease and with him we are more than conquerors hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah so many times we hold on to stuff and we think we can fix it i'm talking i don't know about you but i'm talking about myself but i had to learn and i'm still learning god got this why am i trying to fix it and trying to work it out i worship him i'm a king's kid and when you learn to let go and let god that's when you start seeing things happening you got to learn to let go and let god and that's what i did that's what i'm still doing we got to let go and trust god that's why he's god we're not god we have to trust him and lean on him and stand on his word his word is true he has never lied to us he never will you gotta know that god is more than able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think how many know that we serve a goddess able to do anything in all things so why should we worry let's just go ahead and do what we are signed to do is worship him couldn't fall asleep [Music] i had so much on my mind searching for that peace peace i could not find then i kneel down to pray pray and help me please you don't have to cry that's what he said i supply all your news soon as i stop worrying worrying how the story ends i'll let go and i let god yes let god have his way that's when things start happening i stopped looking at back then i let go and i'll let god let god have this way there's so much going on sometimes i can't find my way and often times i struggle y'all [Music] struggle from day to day but you know what i had to realize that it's not my battle [Music] it's not my battle to fight cause when i put it in the lord's head everything will be alright soon as i stop worrying worrying how the story is i let go when i let god let all standing i want you to after i finish saying we see after we finish saying the lord's prayer please remain standing we're going to do it after the lord's prayer we're going to do a cnbc bible application so we can all start we can all say the lord's prayer our father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come that will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever amen start reading our cwc bible application pledge we believe that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god can't just listen to or read god's word we must do what it says otherwise we are only fooling ourselves for this is an application of god's word that our lives will be changed so lord grant us the courage and discipline to do what your word says we declare and decree we will never be the same in jesus name amen won't you remain standing as we again uh read our morning scripture it's found in the book of first corinthians first corinthians chapter 26 excuse me first corinthians chapter 1 verse number 26 first corinthians chapter 1 verse number 26 we'll be reading verses 26-28 while you're doing that won't you just turn to somebody and say i'm glad to see you this morning hallelujah turn to somebody else and say i'm glad to see you this morning again first corinthians chapter 1 verse number 26-28 i hear ye the word of the lord for ye you see your calling brother and how that not many wise men after the flesh not many mighty not many noble are called but god has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and god has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty and the base things of the world the things which are despised hath god chosen lord have mercy has chosen ye and the things which are not to bring to not things that are thus for the reading of the scripture for a few moments i simply won't talk from this thought use me let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight oh lord my strength and redeemer uh let all of god's people say amen hallelujah won't you write that on your bulletins or on your programs or even in your bible use me use me um not mighty he's chosen foolish things weak things debase things things which are despised that's who god uses use me lord contrary to popular belief you have a call upon your life go ahead and write that down make it personal say i have a call upon my life for god said to jeremiah but it's applicable and appropriate for us he says for i know the thoughts that i think towards you saith the lord thoughts of peace and of not evil to give you an expected end and i know i know i know i know that this is kind of hard for you to accept and to believe and on top of it brother mitchell you just don't see it sometimes right and because you don't see it you don't believe it but you do you do have a call upon your life in fact all of us have a call upon our lives and i'm not saying that we are called to be preachers i'm not saying that we are called to be pastors i'm not i'm not saying we call to be evangelists even though i do think you ought to share the good news with folk you know i i don't think all of us are called doors to be prophets you know and lord knows we ain't all called to be teachers come on somebody but but we all are called to do something for the glory of the lord um we all have a purpose and a reason for living and believe it or not if i can confess today believe it or not i do know how you feel believe it or not i can relate to you because there are even times in my life times in my ministry times even in my pastorate where i have even questioned my own calling in fact when i think of this text for our consideration i'm reminded of my struggle to embrace and accept my call in fact if i'm honest uh minister england i almost didn't respond or accept the call to the ministry because i could not for the life of me understand how god could use someone like me there were even people who laughed at me who doubted me even questioned my calling and and and the truth of the matter is since the queen ames i was one of them when god called me i laughed you see i could not see until i read this text the bible says for you see in other words do you understand do you comprehend are you made aware are you awoke to this realization and this reality brethren how that not many wise after the flesh not many mighty not many noble are called my ears perked up then because because when i looked at the qualifications for one being chosen one being called uh yes it says not many wives for i was very unwise he said not many noble i didn't come i was from the woods i was from the hood i wasn't you know not many uh uh mighty i wasn't strong i was skinny and you know and and where it got me where it got me brother still is in 27. he said for god has chosen the fullest there it is god chooses fools crazy folk people that sometimes you feel like a nut sometimes you don't it says he's chosen foolish things to confound the wise and those things which are not not not mighty and he said base meaning low uh things of the world and and things that are despised that's who god has chosen and i was like wait wait wait wait hold on hold up wait wait hold up god if you can use a food then certainly you can use me hallelujah you see and i don't know about you all but i'm so glad that god takes care of babies and fools come on somebody i said i'm so glad that god takes care of babies and fools a few years ago i used the book or read a book or we used a book entitled god uses imperfect people for our vacation bible school and the thesis of the book was simply this that god saves and uses imperfect people i'll say that again that god saves and uses imperfect people can y'all preach this thing when we say god saves and uses imperfect people somebody ought to shout that god doesn't only use perfect people but he uses imperfect people and here are some examples for noah was a drunk but god used them to build an ark abraham was too old but god god used him to be a father many nation isaac was a daydreamer jacob was a liar leah was ugly cross-sided joseph wasn't abused he was abused moses had a stuttering problem gideon was afraid samson hair was too long and he was a womanizer uh rehab was a prostitute or a uh jeremiah was too young david was an adulterer elijah was suicidal isaiah preached naked jonah ran from god naomi was a widow job went bankrupt john the baptist ate bugs andrew he had a shadow of a big brother peter denied christ all of the disciples fell asleep while he was praying not to worried too much the samaritan woman was divorced uh mary magdalene was demon possessed the kids was too short too small uh timothy had it also paul was a christian killer oh and lazarus he was dead [Music] and paul wrote and we know that all things all things work to you know work together for the good of those who are called according to his purpose and don't you know that that even includes you liar went to jail drink too much smoke you gamble you like more than bingo you eat too much you eat stuff you shouldn't eat such words some of you and i come i come to know and to learn that there is a little good even in the worst of us and a little bad even in the best of us y'all ain't saying nothing i wish i could see y'all behind the mask but i said there's a little good even in the even in the the worst of us and there's a little bad even in the best of us y'all to get that on the way home but here it is god uses come on say god uses and god saves imperfect people and and this fact is a problem for some people because we we really want to try to tell god who to use we really want to tell god who to call really want to tell god who to give gifts to y'all ain't saying nothing but we need to remember that that the use and salvation use and salvation and and and and anointing is god's prerogative it's god's business who are you to say who god calls and who god doesn't call it's god's business and it's not not not determined by public a popular opinion if you don't want to accept the gift don't come you don't want to hear him sing and leave you don't want to hear him preached and then go but you don't determine who god calls are you listening the bible says according to romans 9 18 through 21 says that god will have mercy on whom he will have mercy and whom he will will hearteneth and and thou wilt will say then unto me why do thou yet find fault oh one of these days i'm gonna preach this sermon don't be a fault-finder [Music] you know cause people are real people are so so funny you know like like like they don't have like they stuff don't stink they don't have no problems for who hath resisted his will he said nay but oh man who art thou that replies against god who are you to question who god calls shall the thing that formed it say unto him that formed it why have thou made me thus listen who are you to even question your own calling let alone somebody else's who are you to question god why is god calling you why do you want to use me who who who made you in charge [Applause] hath not the powder power over the clay over the same lump it's in the scripture to make one vessel of honor and to another dishonor how how are you going how you going how you gonna sit and stand in the judgment seat [Music] when you yourself is guilty are you listening oh i had to learn the hard way that god can use anybody that he wants can i get a witness here oh yes god god used rahab you you remember rahab rahab rahab was a harlot rahab was a prostitute in modern vernacular she's a whole ho ho but the bible says by faith the harlan rahab paris not with them that believe not when she had received the spies with peace you see if god if god could could use a harlot he can surely use you and i and i heard i heard the spirits say that that they there is nothing in your place i heard the spirit say there's nothing in your past that is stronger than the blood of jesus [Music] there is nothing in your presence that is stronger than the blood of jesus there is even nothing in the future that is stronger than the blood of jesus for whom he did for no he did predestin he knew all about you even before you knew about yourself are you listening so stop thinking that you let god down you ain't disappointed him he just waiting on you to come on up [Music] are you listening he knew all about what you was gonna do he knew you wasn't gonna be rights but he he he he he he still took a chance on you he's waiting on you to get an alignment with his will and his his way he's waiting on you to get in alignment with his his assignment for you for you see for you see are your eyes open for you see for you see brethren how there are not many wise men after the flesh not many mighty not many noble are called but god has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and god has chosen the chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty and the base things of the world and the things which i despise and have god chosen and yes the things which are not to bring to not the things that are god can use anybody and god wants to use you amen there is nothing nothing that you have done ever will do god already know it there's no surprises now he's hoping that you will choose righteousness he's hoping that you would make the right choices he's he's hoping that you would choose morality he's hoping that you would do the right thing for the right reason are you listening today but let me ask you why do you think you're still here i mean there has been people that have gone on the glory or the hell for less than what you've done but you're still here why are you here come on you gonna help me preach this thing one why has god saved you john there were people died from covet why did god save you not just for you to have a testimony that he brought you out but there's a reason there were people that died why they were people that died why did he save you and and and what part have you to play in the plan of god and more importantly are you fulfilling it if not are you allowing god to prepare you for some tasks please don't be under the illusion this morning that that god has not saved you for such a time as this for god has saved you he's kept you he's preserved you you are a survivor for a reason see god has a he saved you for a particular purpose listen you you whether you realize it or not and you have a very important role to play in his kingdom you are here to implement god's will wherever you plan it are you listening to me you are an ambassador for the kingdom of god you you're not here to do your own thing but god has a greater purpose a greater reality for you deonte i hope you never ever have the experience that i had believe it or not i used to i used to play drums like really play drums for real and and and i used to really really really play for real for real played on the mississippi king i used to used to two on the miss mississippi queen when i was in college okay for real for real and i said you know god when he was calling me and god was calling me my wife will tell you this i was like no guys you called me to play drums god said i'll show you what i did ain't been able to play since i can keep a beat but i'm trying to like really play for real for real because i thought that that's what for me but god has something greater see and sometimes god will let you do something so i hope and pray you never had that experience but there's something greater that god has for you and sometimes god listen if it wasn't for that i would probably still be over there behind the shield behind the shield nothing wrong with being behind the shield but but god said no no cause i couldn't see how i can use me kids out of wedlock couldn't see how god can use me crazy stuff could not see but god said i got something better for you and god will let you hide he'll let you hide you know he'll let you hide he'll let you hide behind your talents behind your gifts in the pews even behind your mask are you listening to me but but but if you want to be used by god the three things you got to do number one you got to be available going to write that down say available yeah you got to be available you got to be available that literally means you got to be accessible to god how are you going to play gospel music and you don't love the gospel oh i know you think it's just music has the power to transcend how how are you going how are you going to pray and you don't like to pray how you going to teach and you don't love the bible you see you got to be accessible and not only do you have to be accessible guess what the next thing you got to do you got to be teachable you got to be teachable turn somebody to say you got to be teachable and the last thing you got to be is you got to be faithful oh you got to be faithful come on let's repeat those things say listen i got to be available i got to be teachable and i got to be faithful i got to be available i got to be teachable and i got to be faithful see because here's the thing god wants to use all of us in some capacity but he's simply waiting on us to submit he's waiting on listen he's waiting on you and i to submit that literally means to surrender he's waiting on us to throw in the white towel he's waiting for us to come out with our hands up he's waiting for us to put our hands outside the window to show that we are not a threat we're not resisting but he's waiting on you and i to submit listen god cannot use you if you're not willing to submit to him now listen i i told you at the onset of our sermon that that we all are called to to something but can i tell you this don't don't call me don't text me don't don't call me saying that god has called you to preach and you're not faithful where you at if you're not faithful over a few things now how are you going to be rule over many things are you listening to me you know how do you want to be in the pulpit and and you don't even want to be in the pew are you listening to me today you must you must bloom and blossom where you planted before you can be replanted with more responsibility and all god is waiting on you to do is to submit where you are turn to somebody and say submit submit submit submit you got to learn how to submit right where you are god is not asking for your resume he already knows god is not asking and this is another one for many of us god ain't asking for your excuses god is not he's not asking you for your experience god is not god is not asking for you to to acknowledge your past indiscretions your past mistakes your past missteps or mishaps are y'all listening to me today i wish i felt like it today but god is not he's not asking you for any of that god already knows that god knows all about you and yet god loves you and wants to use you are you listening to me and all god is waiting for come on wanda john and indeed we ready to go on into this thing you know all god is waiting on you and i to do is to surrender stand all over the building there's a song that i've asked the worship team to lead us in y'all to catch it but but but it's a it's an upgraded song to us to to a song we used to sing all to jesus i surrender yes all to him i freely give you know but but we you know modern day um uh psalmist put a little spin and twist to it so so as we open the doors of the church before we do that i want everybody to just close your eyes and just listen to the words for just a second right where you are hallelujah [Music] to you everything [Music] i give to you withholding nothing with holding nothing [Music] lift your hands all over the building [Music] [Music] [Applause] your past failures [Music] your talent i see [Music] i give to you with holding nothing withholding nothing i sorry [Music] everything i give [Music] [Music] nothing i give myself away [Music] oh god i keep myself away so you can use me i give myself away [Music] [Music] when it goes can you release it right now so god [Applause] i give myself away so you can [Music] listen i want to pray for you right now father in the names of god we pray right now for your people [Music] we confess our sins yes we have not been perfect having done all the things that you would have us to do we haven't lived according to your will your word and your way so we ask for your forgiveness we accept your grace and your mercy yes i'm available to you i'm surrendering my mind gonna touch your head i'm surrendering my heart gonna touch your heart i'm surrendering my mouth surrendering my hands my feet my entire being for your service [Music] help me to bloom into blossom wherever i'm planted [Music] god i give my talent to you i give my creativity back to you yes god [Music] use me lord for your service for charge i have to keep a key and a god to glorify oh god i thank you nothing [Music] i thank you that you didn't let straight bullets take me out [Music] now god i am available to you [Music] god so take my hands take my feet take my heart god again if i'm available to you use your people in a mighty way so in the name of jesus we pray let everybody say amen come on i give myself away if there be anybody reassessed so october is a time for reassessing a time reaping i really didn't gather the fullness of that until i the pastor asked me to say this gratitude prayer to you and i and i looked in the bible of the word for the word harvest it's in there for many many many times but the one time in particular pertaining to us is in malachi third chapter 10th verse if you can turn it it's important i think to see this because i saw something that i had never seen before in my life in this chapter in this particular verse even though i'd heard it many times malachi if you could give me anyone can read that well if you don't read it i can just tell you what it says this is what god tells us about tithing where god asks us to give one tenth of what we have harvested and for that look and see what he promises us but the thing that caught me when i read it today was god said something that i've never known he said before he said prove it to yourself he said test me you give the one tenth
