STIHL 500i FIRST CUTS 1st THOUGHTS

[Music] um [Music] so that was my first cut with the 500i i have one actually ordered myself i haven't got it yet but it seems pretty lightweight good power i would say it's probably equal to like a 460 or 461 uh it looks nice i think that's good that's good that's good that's good how's it going youtube i have a 500i it's not mine but lewis power and equipment in grants pass oregon loaned it to me i have one on order and they say go ahead and use it and so today we're going to try it out on this crane removal we're not removing a crane we're removing a tree on this bank this is an interesting job it's on a cut bank very steep vertical in places and then places an overhang with trees on top of the overhang this is the tree nice deep chasm here the ground sloughing toward the chasm the ground has fled away from the post that's the old fence it's quite a bit lower and over dead air space now the ground of this of this fence post just left and took the post with it and the main body of the fence stayed over here but you can see this this erosion retreating you want trees to hold the bank like maples things that pull a lot of juice but when they get really really big then they exert a lot of force on the bay in the form of weight and leverage in the wind crying at the overhang so eventually trees on a creek end up hurting the bank long term not all of them the city has deemed a couple of these long-term management for the creek bank to remove a couple of these one of them is this tree then you got these two cypress trees that have been breaking the big limbs out over onto the house it's kind of a tough thing to balance because the trees pull water from the bank but they also exert all this pressure on the bank when they get super huge so it'll be good to have the maples and the alders and stuff on the bank which are smaller pull a decent amount of juice by sheer numbers and offer no threat to the neighbor across the creek was because what happens is is the bank of roads and trees fall in and they fall toward the opposite side a tree like this tipping over onto that place would be catastrophic but a lot of little trees pulling juice out of the bank is good and crane removal of a big tree on the bank is good because we can guarantee the safety of the trees the understory below it which we want to preserve for the bank i'll probably never upload this explanation because i'm boring myself silly but i will upload the tree cutting cart okay that seems about good for right now and we still got something to work hangers with now [Music] but i will if i have to all right about to make [Applause] a little bit there it is [Music] now we get to see damian's first impression 500i [Music] i love it [Music] [Music] foreign youtube is asking for more adam footage oh yeah okay so i need to see your foot oh there we go actually just subaru all right you guys we got zappo here now we've got the piece on the ground and we need to do some bucking you know what else would we cut this thing down with other than the 500i while we've got it here this might be a little lighter with more power though huh right there i think that's heavier might be but yeah way more power is still paying you to make this video big bucks ooh we do need some fuel let's hit okay as soon as we get some fuel in this thing we're gonna show adam doing some cutting his first cuts and then we'll get his his reaction and the review of what he thinks in comparison to his 462 to the ms 500i all right we're gonna go ahead and get some uh zappo 500i bucking footage here [Music] now [Music] [Applause] what do you think in comparison to your saw what differences do you notice the power to weight power away and i mean it i don't know if it's new but you just pull it and it starts does it feel torqueier on the low end like when you stop in the wood and then start back up does it seem uh like it has that low end torque like it pulls your chain back out of that stop yeah when it got stuck my chain got stuck right there guy got pissed and it like pulled me forward nice nice i don't know if i was recording this or not but he did look up a couple times and he had this very satisfied little smile on his face all right we'll keep we'll keep going with it we're going to test this thing out and make sure you know we don't want it we don't want to say anything good about it if it's just a piecer but i don't think it is a piecer i think it seems pretty cool [Music] what's up youtube we're going to take these trees out over the bank that have been busting limbs out on the client's home they're cypress trees two of them on the bank two of them gonna leave here and depart forever we're the movers today we're moving stuff okay so if we're a tree moving company we're not beacons we're tree kims all right let's get this thing [Music] it cut nice
