I screwed up on one of these trees with the Stihl 500i

[Music] [Music] ah [Music] [Music] well that's a good one right there boys we're gonna make it 500 moles old hickory i hate food hickories yeah that's a good one yep we're about to put on the ground there the helmet i'm wearing that is a lot of people know what it is it's a produce helmet uh and i've been asked a good bit and i've answered it in the comments you know what my thoughts are about it i like the helmet the helmet that i've been wearing is a cask it's brandon hussmarner it's a very good helmet too the produce is just a uh is it a lot it's a good bit different level and the cool thing about it is from tree stuff you can get that produce they will go ahead and put the center communications in it for you too so this helmet has that and when you get done with it's about 500 bucks that's a lot of money for a helmet but uh it is taking me a little bit you get used to the wire screen on it there but i do like the helmet a lot [Music] wow [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh all right so oh [Music] oh [Music] oh wow [Music] [Music] ah [Music] [Music] so this was still before i worked on this chain this is i'm running a steel rs chain and this in this round file and all of this is in a river bottom the river floods on this wood it's full of sand full of grit just tons of that stuff in these trees and i was really surprised at how well this chain held up through cutting all these trees because by this point i had already cut a bunch of trees that was in a previous video and done a bunch of sawing and it did very well that the steel chain is a lot harder chain the probably the hardest chain as far as metal-wise that i've ever filed now here in a little bit if i keep it in the video i get the 362 this and this is before i done any put the bark box on the 500 and all that stuff too i just want to get this video out there but i picked the 362 up and it's got this square ground chain on it i eat that square ground chain up quick it didn't take but a couple of trees and that chain was was uh basically done you'll see it here in a little bit [Music] oh [Music] [Music] boy [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] um a little thick on that hinge [Music] right in the middle [Music] [Music] so i was talking about this chain earlier it's a lot harder temper than kind of what i'm used to to me a little while to figure it out but i've got it where to run like a knife through hot butter now and i'll show some of the people who follow me on instagram and see what uh what i've done with it and see what the results are with it but so this tree right here uh if you want to see look at mr larry that sounds good if you want to see the power of a wedge what a wedge can do this is a video for you right here this tree was leaning back toward where mr larry walked but i didn't want it to fall backwards i wanted to push it over toward that tree it's kind of on the left-hand side of the screen that's where i want to land but when i cut i left a little spot right kind of in the back three-quarter part of the tree and you'll see that slither when i finally wedge it over when it pulls out like a fiber pull you'll see it when it when it comes out sometimes you'll miss them like that it's hard to uh you know when you're cutting and you in that junk like this right here where i'm at and you're on a incline in the heel and you're all off camber sometimes you may think you've got it all and you may leave about a quarter size piece in there and that's what i did on this one but but that wedge though if you'll watch it here in a little bit you'll see it that way it still pushes that thing over it took it took several hits to get it to go but when it finally tore that piece of fiber loose in it she went on over [Music] do [Applause] [Music] oh [Applause] oh [Applause] [Music] [Applause] right here i pulled that tip too far back right there and i missed a little spot right there i was scared that the tree was gonna sit on down hard on that wedge because you can't see it in the video but it uh the trees leaning back toward me really really bad and and uh i didn't want it to sit down on the bar so i was kind of playing it on the safe side and it came on out a little bit too quick because i didn't have that wedge drove in there like uh like i really should have and that's the reason why i came on out and that kind of calls me because you'll watch right here in this part so so right about here is where i'm rewriting the book on cuss words you know i'm sitting there hitting things and i'm thinking pink tree he already done fell over by now cottonwood he's over there laughing at me and carrying on and so anyhow the bad thing is when you're in these situations like this you got to stay with it and keep going as bad as it is and the worst part is you're burning energy every time you swing at axe you are burning energy and you're using up energy that you could be doing doing something else and that's the bad part but every now and then you're gonna mess up [Music] hmm so do you see that little slither that's sticking up just to the right of that uh yellow wedge that's what was holding that tree right there old school man where is it [Music] so you should be able to tell this is a 362 here you can see already cut several there was several more that these trees are laying on top of right there too lined up pretty good ain't they i'm telling you you got me grinning i'm telling you you know you back up there and get there's five of them laying right there right now yeah one was hung in the other one or now it would it was growing in that right off it seemed like stunt right he thought he'd cut him both well the sassy fast barber chaired on him stuck him in the chest yeah his daughter was skidding when she got back there he was there with her knife out trying to wow cut that slab out of him wow he died just shortly after that he never notched anything he told me wasting your time what he said laying up there in the graveyard all right so if you follow me on instagram you see that this song now has large felon dogs on it and it also has a bark box on it now too i have not run it yet with the bark as he had the power of it or anything like it but man it it changed the sound of it quite a bit but um i like messing with these saws here try running something different i have not jumped shipped from husqvarna at all so never fear don't worry about that i just wanted to uh to run some steals and and these were not given me i bought all three of these stills the 500 the 362 and the 261. yeah so uh just having a little fun messing with them here let's go if you're interested in any chainsaw classes i've got two coming up here at the house on february the 6th in february the 13th i'm moving them to 10 people apiece and i've still got openings in both of them if you're interested it'll be a friday night in a all day saturday deal we cover everything on chainsaws i mean run the heck out of them too lots and lots of stuff with chainsaws that cost on each one of those classes 400 ahead like i said right here at my property i got an email down below and then coming up in march march the 12th through the 14th there's gonna be a three-day chainsaw class in rome georgia me tim martin and david breden are putting it on in that class for the three days total is uh 750 ahead and it's gonna be a
